The day has arrived! The first day of the Sports Festival! It was a action packed day for the first years as they aspired to show what they had, to prove that they can be better heroes than the rest. It was also a day for pro heroes to see the creme of the crop, to find the perfect sidekicks when the students graduate.
Izuku had to wonder, is the sports festival the primary reason crime spiked 15% in a day?
He shook his head. He was sure there were some pros out there who didn't attend the sports festival. After all, seating was filled within a short amount of time.
He sat in the teachers box, an area reserved for staff and faculty of the school, but before he could actually settle down, someone called out to him.
"Hey Zu!" That was his new nickname the faculty and staff had for him. He grew on each of them after a while, and the Pussycats absolutely adored him.
Izuku turned and saw Present Mic at the doorway. His brow arched in question, which was all the prompting the teacher needed.
"After the first part, do you mind being my assistant for when it comes time for the students?"
Izuku's eyes widened, a smile stretching on his features. "Yeah! Are you ready for your part of the plan to go?"
Ah yes, the plan. This was added when Nezu talked to Izuku. Izuku convinced him that the sports festival shouldn't be all about the kids, for the audience could use a good cheer with the teachers and staff duking it out.
There were some limitations, like All Might using 100% of his own power, or Cementoss drowning the audience in concrete. So, naturally, the set of rules and regulations came down to Izuku, since he created the idea.
After discussing the terms with Nezu, the principal was quick to agree with Izuku, nodding to the fact that the audience would be thrilled to see some of the staff fight.
Teachers like All Might were not allowed to fight, since the collateral damage would be too great if he didn't moderate himself.
After their talk, Present Mic gave the microphone to All Might and Midnight, who volunteered to take that role.
Instead of the students making their way to the stadium, they were all surprised to be told to head to their respective sections of the stadium. For what, they didn't know.

Kaminari hopped up and down I'm excitement. "I'm so pumped! do you think there'll be a show or something?" He looked to Kirishima, who looked thoughtful.
Kirishima grinned. "I dunno, but I bet it's going to go great!"
Tsuyu, Ochako, and Tenya sat anxiously, uncomfort evident.
Ochako sat, embarrassed as her stomach rumbled. "Sorry, guys, I'm just hungry." She mumbled. "I just don't have food often enough." She blushed, praying no one heard that part.
Tsuyu and Tenya looked at each other and nodded, excusing themselves. They left the stands, confusing Kyoka and Sero. They shrugged. It wasn't their business anyways.
After a few minutes, the duo returned with lunch sacks. Sato looked at them, a little worried. "You guys are already hungry? If you'd told me sooner I would have made you all some protein bars to fill you up." Tenya looked at him and smiled warmly.
"Thank you kindly, Sato, but the food isn't for us." Ochako was startled when she saw Tenya and Tsuyu hand the sacks to her. She initially waved them off, stating she was fine, but after some insistence accepted the meal. She cried as she ate, setting a reminder to visit the school counselor to take him on his offer.
The rest of the class smiled at the two's deeds and vowed to themselves to never let Ochako, or any other students, go hungry on their watch.

Midnight and All Might grinned, ready to get the show on the road.
Midnight gripped the mic, and spoke. "Hello everyone!!! Welcome to the first day of the UA annual sports festival! I'm Midnight!-
"And I'm here! Delivering commentaty as All Might!"
"-Here to deliver the first portion of commentary of the first part of the festival!"
The audience cheered, oblivious to what was going on, but happy to be there anyways.
Midnight continued as they cheered. "For those wondering what we mean when we say the first portion of the festival, we have something completely brand new for you all to enjoy!"
All Might added his own two cents. "Personally I don't know why we haven't thought of this sooner!"
The both of them finished together. "It's a showdown between teachers! A fight between Staff! Who will win in these matchups, they'll be the ones to tell!"
Behind the stands, Izuku grinned as he heard the audience go absolutely wild. With him were a few members of UA's staff: Present Mic, Eraserhead, Vlad King, Power Loader, and Snipe. Each were stretching and warming up. Izuku smiled, the students were going to love this.
{Class 1-A}
Eijiro grinned, fist pumped in the air. "So this is what he meant when he wouldn't miss the festival! I can't wait!"
Bakugo stared at the redhead. "Oi shitty hair. What the hell are you talking about?"
Kirishima paled, realization set in. He immediately faltered, hands waving. "Dont worry about it! just talking to myself!" He turned to the open area. "Let's just watch the festival, yeah?"
Bakugo scowled. "This conversation isn't over." He noticed a glint on Kirishima's waist. He narrowed his eyes. This conversation definitely isn't over.
Kirishima didn't notice Mina glancing at him worridly. He's been acting awfully strange, lately. Should I be worried? Is he hiding something? No, he'd tell me, right? She shook her head. I shouldn't be worried about this. I should be worried about his safety of something were to go horrible for him. I also have to focus on me! She looked to Kyoka for a second, she would talk to her and get some advice later.
{Class 1-B}
"Wow! Did you hear that Shinso?! This is..er.. incredible!" Shinso smiled at Pony's enthusiasm. He patted her on the head, chuckling at the small breighs she gave off, and turned to the open area. "Yeah, that's right. It is incredible."
Their thoughts were distracted by a steel hardening quirk user. "Hell yeah! some action by the pros! I wonder who'll fight!" Testutestsu pumped a fist in the air, not unlike the other hardening quirk user.
Yui giggled softly. She secretly hoped Izuku would fight. She was intrigued by his aggressive nature when it came up. She was also intrigued by his soft side, the part of him that was patient, and caring. What fascinated her was that he was their age, but he was so well rounded and mature. The fact that he was already a pro astounded her. She wished to see Izuku in action, mostly because she enjoyed working with him to boost her confidence and leadership skills. To say the sessions worked would be a huge understatement.

Midnight beamed, her ability to enrapture the audience keeping her going. "Now, to start the day with a One on One melee! in the first box..."
{Stadium}
Izuku started to walk, weapons at the ready. It turns out that since this was an unprecedented event, anything went. So in turn, Izuku decided that there would be a limit of three main weapons and one backup weapon. All the staff participating readily agreed, though most ended relying on their quirks. That didn't mean his first opponent didn't use support gear.
This was Snipe he was against.
He listened as Nemuri introduced the gunslinger.
"In the first box, we have a rootin tootin all around shootin kind of guy! His guns are made of steel but his heart is made of gold! Let's hear it for the target slayer, and teacher of the third years, Snipe!!!"
The audience went wild.
This was expected of them though. Snipe was a respected figure, an amazing hero, and a role model. Plus, he looked cool with his guns and mask.
Izuku knew he wouldn't be getting a standing ovation anytime soon.
He walked as he heard Nemuri introduce him.
"Now for a hero who is making his debut after four entire years of hero work! He may be small but don't underestimate his large ability to take you down! He doesn't like the public and hates attention, but that doesn't stop him from doing the right thing! Let's hear it for our new dean of student conduct, Quirkless!"
As expected, the audience went silent, except for the students of the hero course. Izuku stood at his end, a deadpan look hidden in his coverings. He listened as he heard whispers over crowd him.
"Who is he?"
"I've never heard of a hero like that."
"He's tiny! how old is he?"
"What does his hero name mean? is he really quirkless or is that for show?"
"I like his hair."
Izuku turned to whoever made that comment and gave them a thumbs up. He turned back to his opponent, one of his many plans at mind.
{Class 1-A}
"YES! A debut!!! Let's GOOOOO!"
The class inched away from the hardening quirk user, slightly unnerved from his attitude. Mina even backed away, more sure than ever that Kirishima was hiding something. She walked over to Kyoka, and sat down.
Kyoka turned to her, surprise written in her voice. "Mina? What's going on? Not that I don't enjoy the company, but I expected you to be around hard hat over there. Something up?"
Mina looked to Kirishima, then to Kyoka. "Do you mind walking with me for a second...After Quirkless goes? I just need to talk."
Kyoka smiled warmly. "Sure, no problem. Anything for a friend." She turned back to the stadium, acknowledging the fight already started.
Momo smiled. "I can't wait to see how he does. He's already impressive." Tokoyami glanced at her and agreed, knowing that the both of them already worked with the vigilante in their sessions.
Bakugo sat quietly, not bothering to be a part of the incessant chatter spewing around him. He was just focused on the quirkless teen and his skill set, which would come in handy later when he fought the dean.
Sero nudged Kaminari. "Who do you think will win?"
Kaminari looked thoughtful. "I'm not entirely sure, since we don't have a clue what Quirkless' skills are." He glanced at Ojiro and Shoji. "What do you guys think?"
Shoji shrugged and Ojiro smiled. "Let's wait and find out."
Content at the answer, the four quieted and started watching.
Ochako surprised the entire class. "Quirkless is going to win! He's nicer than the other teachers and he is small, making him more agile! I believe in him!" Her fist pumped in determination.
Tsuyu smiled. "If you believe in him, then so do I!" Tenya nodded, no words needed. Momo hummed in agreement.
Kaminari snickered. "Yeah, cause Ochako and Momo have a huge thing for hi- ach!" He stopped his teasing when a giant tongue slapped him.
Ignoring his pain, Tsuyu smiled. It would definitely be something to watch and unknown fight against a pro. If the fight against midnight wasn't enough, she wondered how the vigilante would fare in an enclosed space.
{Class 1-B}
Shinso and Pony already banked that Quirkless would win. He had a heart of a hero, more so than anyone else in the school.
The rest of the class was confused, aside from Yui, Shinso, and Pony.
Kendo piped up, audibly confused. "Hey, isn't that the guy who destroyed Midnight?"
The rest of the class murmured their agreements and questions.
Shinso spoke up. "Yes it is, and let's just wait to see what happens."
The class went silent, surprised at the bluntness of the boy. Nevertheless, they complied, in agreement of the Brain washing quirk user.
{Somewhere in the stands}
"Hey Tamaki! isn't that the guy that helped you with your confidence just a tiny bit?" A periwinkle haired girl looked at the fight in front of her in awe. She couldn't believe one of her best friends was in direct contact with him! it only sprouted more questions. Her eyes twinkled, which meant she had a flurry of questions at the ready.
The timid boy smiled. "Go Izuku."
The blonde boy next to the duo smiled. He was glad Tamaki was getting some form of confidence boosting. He couldn't wait to see how this fight turns out.
{Back With Izuku}
Izuku narrowed his eyes at the foe in front of him. The first thing he had to do was get Snipe close enough to the railing behind him, then it would be fair game.
Either that or make those guns disappear.
He barely registered Midnight's voice as he bowed to his opponent.
"Start!"
