"Welcome back to the first round of the semi-finals of the staff showdown! How's everyone doing so far!" Midnight paused to allow the audience deliver their answer.

As expected, the crowd cheered, waiting for the next match to begin.

Smiling, Midnight quickly took control. "Alright! So because there are four competitors left, we have decided instead of having another one on One match, we will do things in the spirit of the Sports Festival!"

The crowd cheered once more.

"So! we are going to have one giant team match! If you all look at the projection in front of you, you will see a randomizer. This will determine the team's of two for this next match!"

Sure enough, there were two giant hologrific screens of two shown in front of the audience. On it, were four names:

1. Quirkless

2. Vlad King

3. Present Mic

4. Power Loader

Each name shifted around, spinning in a giant circle for ten seconds, then immediately stopped and split. More words appeared on the screen, signifying the teams of two.

Team One:

Power Loader

Present Mic

Team Two:

Vlad King

Quirkless

The audience roared, excited for the battle to begin.

This time, All Might spoke, his voice nothing short of excited. "Here is how the match will go! Both teams have a limited time of thirty minutes to successfully defeat the other team. Anything goes! Whoever wins the round will move on to the finals, where the teammates will split and fight the other!"

Both Midnight and All Might shouted together. "Who will win! Only they can tell!"

Both instructors beamed with pride at their own showmanship. All Might laughed to himself, covering the microphone. "You know, Nemuri, this is pretty fun! We should do this more often!"

Midnight laughed. "We definitely should. I'm having a blast watching our coworkers get pummeled out there."

All Might let out a whole hearted laugh. "That is a benefit. It's nice not fighting professionals for once. Now, let's get back to it." Midnight nodded, grinning.

{Class A}

"Hey, Tenya! Who do you think will win?" Sato looked at the speedster, excitement brimming in his eyes.

Tenya placed a hand under his chin, humming as he thought. "While we haven't seen what the other two can do, I'm sure they'll be nothing short of impressive. However, they randomized the teammates, so it'll be rather difficult to see who will win exactly." Sero looked over at the speedster, eyebrows raised. "What do you mean, Iida?"

Momo took over for Tenya, smiling apologetically. "Well, let's look at each individual's advantages and disadvantages.

"Power Loader, while slower on the surface, has a quirk known as Iron claws. So it makes more sense to be underground. He could easily bury his opponents alive, but one disadvantage sticks out like a sore thumb. He may be scrawny, but he's bulky. Like I said before, he's slower on land, and all it takes for him to go down is someone faster than him. On top of that, his entire upper body is exposed, so if he were to be electrocuted, for example, he'd be out of the picture." Everyone in the class was paying attention, listening closely.

She didn't even notice, but continued. "With Present Mic, he has the ability to take opponents down from long ranged distances. With his quirk, voice, the sound waves from his uniform have a massive power boost. However, it's been recently shown that he can fight at short range, having shown us his proficiency at boxing. As of right now, the only disadvantage I can see is just getting hurt too much. I would say he could lose to power loader, but in this match they're working together." The class blinked at her description. Nodding, they all silently agreed that what she described is plausible.

"For Vlad King, he has a bulky, muscular physique, enabling him to be on par with most professional wrestlers. His quirk is Blood Manipulation, so he's able to be on the offensive and defensive. He is frighteningly fast and durable, so he can take most opponents down."

Ochako looked up in confusion. "Then what's his disadvantage? it seems to me he's a tank, unstoppable and undentable."

Momo hummed. "I think his disadvantage is his quirk. If he loses the blood used instead of soaking it back into his body, eventually his body wouldn't keep up. However, he's insanely skilled, so it would be difficult to do so. Plus, if cut and scratched enough, his blood would go into overdrive to make sure he doesn't bleed out."

A few students nodded in agreement. After hearing the analysis, they'd be uncomfortable with his quirk too.

"Hey Momo, what about Quirkless? We've seen him fight two professionals by now." Momo turned to Todoroki, who broke out of his usually reserved shell for a second.

Momo pondered thoughtfully. "Well, his advantages is that he's a master tactician, proficient at firearms and very skilled at swords and handheld weapons. His main source of weapon is his body. He is a master of five martial arts and has a very high pain tolerance.

"Any disadvantage would be combating a quirk directly. He just doesn't have the ability to fire a projectile to match Present Mic's or Vlad King, although he can go toe to toe with others. Had he been paired to fight Mr. Aizawa, he probably would have won due to the fact that Quirkless doesn't have a quirk for Mr. Aizawa to mute."

Todoroki nodded, accepting her answer.

Tokoyami piped up. "So considering their advantages and weak points, which team will win?"

The Yaoyorozu heiress smiled. "Honestly, I'd say Vlad and Quirkless. Vlad has an advantage of speed and power, and Izuku has an advantage of being a Jack of all trades. I think if Power Loader were to dig underground, Quirkless would easily locate him and dodge, as well as knock him out when he reappears. Present Mic may have a background in boxingz but that's only one skill, whereas Quirkless has five martial arts and countless tools he could use at his advantage."

Tokoyami, along with the rest of the class nodded at her explanation.

Tsuyu, however, noticed one slip up. "Hey Momo." The heiress looked over. "How do you know so much about the instructors and Quirkless? You did address the vigilante by his first name."

Momo froze, a blush creeping on her face at full speed. Curse her bluntness!

Mina smirked, and knew it was her time to shine. "So tell us Momo, how do you know so much about the dean and counselor? First name basis, hmm?"

Momo's entire face was beet red. Her hands waving constantly as she tried to deny any ideas forming in the pinkette's head. "N-No! It's not like that! He just works with me on my confidence for class and the Sports Festival, and I've talked to him about quirks and stuff.." She turned away, refusing to look Mina or Tsuyu in the eyes.

Kirishima placed a hand on his girlfriends shoulder, cutting out any ideas trying to spew from her mouth. "Come on, leave it be! We have a match to watch! It's just about to start!" He sighed internally. Plus I he's into Kyoka more than Momo, though if the opportunity came along, I wonder if he'd take it? He shook his head. Probably not.

Mina giggled. "This conversation is soooo not stopping anytime soon." She looked to Momo. "We'll have a girl's night soon! Right girls?!" The ladies of the class voiced their agreements, as there weren't many girls in the class to begin with.

{Class 1-B}

Pony cheered as the team's were decided. "Quirkless is going to win this with Mr. Vlad!" She turned to Shinso. "Right Shinso?"

Shinso smiled, patting her head. "That's right. Shinso is going to win this with Vlad."

The other students agreed, all putting their faith into their homeroom teacher.

Yui sighed, a smile adorning her face. I really do hope Izuku wins. He's got my vote! And Mr. Vlad too!

She felt an elbow nudge her side. She turned and looked at Setsuna Tokage smile at her. "Ah, hello Tokage."

Togake smiled. "Sup Yui! You ready for the next match? Who do you think will win?"

Yui smiled. "Quirkless and Mr. Vlad. They will win." Setsuna's smile grew even bigger. She knew that look her friend had when she said Quirkless. Her smile grew Cheshire. "So, has Quirkless been helping you out?"

Yui nodded. "Yes. He helps me communicate effectively with others on a team."

"And how so?"

Yui arched a brow. "I don't see how it matters. All I'm doing is rooting for him-Them." Setsuna's smile grew even wider.

Setsuna lessened her smile, hoping to not creep her friend out. "You know, it's ok to have feelings for someone, Yui." The dark haired girl stared at the vernadette incredulously. The green haired girl dropped her smile, looking at Yui with complete seriousness. "But it's not ok to keep the feelings repressed and locked away. It'll eat you right up."

Yui sat, silent, as she thought over what the classmate said. She looked at the floor, her voice quiet. "And do you think he'd go for someone like me?"

Setsuna stared at Yui, completely baffled. "What do you mean? You're a gorgeous gal! You're intelligent, you have great personality, and you're a real tank on the field! What do you mean?"

Yui looked away, blushing at the complements. "Don't you think I'm kind of...boring? I'm plain looking, I don't make friends easily, and I am super shy and reserved."

Setsuna gripped Yui's hand, compassion evident by the action. "Yui, trust me on this. Any guy would be lucky to have you." She smiled warmly. "Let's watch the battle, yeah?"

Yui smiled, nodding. She really hoped Izuku would win this one.

{Somewhere in the stands}

"Tamaki! Mirio! This is getting intense! Who's gonna win?" The hyper teen sat excitedly, waiting on the battle to start.

Mirio cupped his own chin. "I'm not sure, but if I had to gamble I'd go for Power Loader and Present Mic. I truly think they have the potential and upper hand to win." He paused when he saw Tamaki shake his head.

Tamaki has Faith that the underdog would win. After all, no one believed in him until he started improving with Mirio and Nejire. The youngest faculty member believed in him, so Tamaki believed in Izuku. "Izuku is gonna win. My teacher will win."

Nejire and Mirio smiled. It was rare to see their friend become talkative (kinda). They both elected to sit and wait, choosing to watch the match rather than debate who would win.

{Announcers box}

Midnight cleared her throat. "Are you READY?"

The crowd roared.

"Great! Now onto the fight! In the left box is a duo of distance and power! One teammate is a man of many talents, but nothing compares to his battle prowess in the ground! Let's hear it for Power Loader!!!"

The crowd cheered in approval, antsy to see what this pro could do.

"The other teammate is a man who dominated the arena against a martial art elitest who could mute your quirk! He has shown that he's more than a chatterbox with the strength of a roaring semi! Let's hear it for Present Mic!"

The crowd cheered, a lot louder than Power Loader's ovation.

"On the box on the right! We have a man who not only can control his own blood, but his blood is enriched with the care and support of his students of class 1-B! Let's hear it for the bleeding heart in red, Vlad King!"

The crowd cheered, the roar sounding much like Power Loaders.

"And finally, reintroducing a power house just hired this semester! He may not have a quirk but he'll still find a way to beat you at your own game! He's a little bit on the young side, but his expertise surpasses his age by a lifetime! Let's hear it for QUIRKLESS!"

None of the opponents were ready for what they were about to hear.

The crowd went absolutely ballistic, the roars of approval and sounds of excitement deafening. Izuku blushed. He figured they'd hate him for his quirklessness. Oh well, no need to dwell on it.

Izuku immediately thought of the plan he and Vlad came up with a few minutes before the match began. It's also possible they thought of maybe five more.

Now was the time to go to work.

Review time!

It's been a while, but hey, I figured I'd respond to some reviews. First thing, this is addressed to all the reviews that are for the story: Thank you so much for your kind words and your want to read more! This story is far from over, and it's already chapter 20! I'm so grateful for everyone enjoying it! As a favour, please comment if I get something wrong about a character's ability that is already Canon, like Present Mic's quirk. Now, onto more specific things.

Pairings

A reviewer talked about ships/pairings, and how hard it would be to pair Izuku. I'd like to say you're absolutely correct! I've read so many stories and loved each of them, and there are so many pairings.I'm not sure who to pair with Izuku at the moment, since there's so much potential for this story, and so many different pathways the plot could divulge in. Eventually, he will be paired. As of right now, there are girls interested or mildly interested, and there will be girls in the future that'll hold an interest in the newest faculty member.

Midnight

There has been reviews agreeing with the resentment of how Nemuri acts and dresses, but there has been a review defending her. I am going to put my foot down. She is surrounded by children. She is canonically 31 years old. I get that her outfit is needed to utilize her quirk, but there are thousands of other ways to dress, and while she could dress how she wants, what she canonically wears shouldn't be in a high school. In reality, no young female teacher could get away with the way she dresses, so Midnight shouldn't either. If UA were a college, or of she were just around her colkleagues or friends, she'd be fine. The way she talks and acts around the kids in the anime is definitely geared to being sexually excited by the maturing children. That is not ok. It's pedophilia. As a person, I despise acts of pedophiles and I delsise pedophiles, rapists, and molesters. So do not chalk it up to her "putting on an act." It's not ok. I am not changing my mind on this one.

Toga

Ok! With the hard part out of the way, I can talk about Toga's involvement!

For the readers who talked about the DC aspect that is the story, great reading between the lines! This story is partially influenced by vigilantes in comics, especially DC comics. I won't spoil anything about Toga, but I will leave off with a little tidbit: She is going to be like a catwoman to Izuku. That's all I'm going to say there. As a side note, one review said that Kirishima could have been able to fight her due to his quirk. My counterargument is that he is not experienced enough to fight a villain like Toga. At the point of the Sports Festival in both manga and anime, Eijiro's quirk isn't developed to the point of fighting crime like in the Red Riot debut. He would have been kicked out of battle like he was nothing. Remember, he's just a student. He's not a professional like Izuku or Aizawa, yet. Even with a hero license, the card is for doing what Izuku does most of the time: Small criminals that cause big trouble.

That's all from me! As I said earlier, I am so grateful for you all, please keep reviewing and reading, and I will keep supplying until the story of Quirkless is complete!

Till next time!
