"Begin!"
Izuku and Vlad split immediately, the first part of their plan in motion. Izuku watched the blood manipulator from the corner of his eye, and was impressed. The bulky man was amazingly fast. However, Izuku studied the heroes he was against enough times in his life to know how to beat them.
The first one he had to rid of the field was Power Loader. As predicted, the ginger dove underground, hoping to catch the other off guard. To counter this, Izuku informed Vlad to watch the ground for any kind of movement, while Izuku went to take care of Present Mic.
Power Loader's main weakness was his body. Relying on a support armor surrounding his head and in the shape of a bulldozer/crane, he would target the man's torso. It was going to be tough, but he knew a risky move like that could work. At least he was 45% sure it would work. After all, he had five other plans.
His main concern was the ranged support fighter in the back. Present Mic noticed his partner being targeted, so Izuku was lucky Mic didn't notice...
"Oh no you DDDOOOOONNNNTTTT!"
Shit.
Izuku activated his jump boots and cleared the destructive maelstrom of sound headed his way. Damn it, I'll have to amp this up.
He took out a boomerang with emp receptors dotted all over, and while airborne, tossed it by the Voice user.
Present Mic laughed. "Oh, little listener, you thought it'd work on me like it did snipe right?" He crossed his arms. "Well it won't work on-- AUGH!"
The boomerang slammed into his neck, the waves cancelling out the mechanism used to enhance his voice into dangerous waves.
Smirking, he held out his hand and the boomerang slammed into it. "Learned a little technique from watching a sniper dude. Works wonders." He watched as Vlad was thrown into the air by power loader.
Izuku blanched. "Totally forgot about him." He looked at the crater the blood manipulator was currently residing in. "Hey you good?"
"No."
"Great to hear."
"If you're done observing the bus sized crater I'm in, I'd really appreciate some help."
Izuku chuckled, but flipped out of the way to avoid a swipe from Power Loader, who shot out of the ground in front of him.
The vigilante blinked. "Oh yeah. Totally forgot about you too."
He instinctively blocked a punch delivered to his right. Without looking, he chuckled. "Totally forgot about you too, Mic." Feeling slightly cornered, he swept his foot into the stance of Present Mic, slammed a fist into Mic's neck and grabbed a Bazooka from his cloak.
While Present Mic recovered, Power Loader retreated immediately, his eyes wide as saucers. "Holy- Why the hell do you have that?"
Izuku looked at the weapon in hand and back at the pro hero. "Why do you have a bulldozer for armor?" He leapt into the crater, bazooka still in hand, and a few seconds later the two staff members flew out of the crater, dust spewing into a cloud as they soared back onto the field.
After landing, Izuku dusted his legs off. "Not only is it good for obliviating your enemies, it's great for air time too."
At this point, Present Mic and Power Loader were stumped. They hadn't expected much out of the vigilante, but the capacity for a military weapon of that calibre astounded them. They had no plan now. Their original and only plan consisted of power loader burying Vlad to his head and Present Mic sending the vigilante out of bounds.
They were running out of options, and Mic was beginning to feel a numbing sensation on his throat.
However, a hero isn't one for planning 100% of the time. With his major weapon usable for one more scream, Present Mic sprinted to Power Loader. "Hey! Higari! Throw me in the air!"
Power Loader looked confused. "What?"
"Just do it! We don't have many options!"
Shrugging, Power Loader grabbed the blonde and hurled him into the air with his support armor, ensuring the hero was twenty meters above the opponents. With a mighty scream, Hizashi breathed out.
"AAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!"
Catching on to his partner's plan, Power Loader made a bee line to the seemingly stunned duo.
Izuku and Vlad had immediately covered their ears, their bodies starting to sink into the demolished ground as the waves of sound assaulted their very beings.
The damage could have been worse. Before the match even started, Izuku gave Vlad some ear plugs, protecting their ears from lasting damage. Sensing movement in the form of vibrations, Izuku instinctively jumped in the air and spun, a leg out in the action of a kick, and put everything he had into it.
He knew he hit something. He didn't know what. His eyes were closed in pain, but he knew he hit something.
Feeling the sound assault ripple away, he opened his eyes.
Everyone looked terrible, even himself. His leather cloak was slightly torn, not enough to show off every litte pocket he had on his uniform, but ripped in most places.
The first thing he noticed was Present Mic on the ground, panting heavily, his lungs begging for air. His outfit looked fine, albeit dirty.
The next thing he noticed was Vlad, attempting to pick himself up. No blood leaked out of his ears, so Izuku knew his hearing wasn't damaged too badly. Vlad's entire upper costume was gone, showing a muscular physique. His pants weren't faring much better either, but his dignity was still unscathed.
The last thing he noticed was Power Loader, meters away past the out of bounds line. He looked absolutely the worst. There was a two meter trail leading up to Power Loader. Izuku was surprised. He hadn't registered that the older man was even close to him. He just felt something close in on him. He just didn't know what it was until now.
Cementoss stood, eyes wide open. Turns out, Power Loader was shot into the vicinity right next to the concrete hero.
Cementoss looked at the Support teacher, and rose a hand in the air. "Power Loader is out of bounds. The battle lies on Present Mic to win for his team!"
The crowd went nuts. They didn't know what to expect, but for the Quirkless man to send the bulldozer flying like that? It was insane.
Izuku would have smiled, but the battle was far from over. He was tiring out, Vlad could be better, and Present Mic was still going. The radio host just couldn't use his throat, as it looked heavily bruised from over use.
Looking closely, it was definitely bruised. The area with his vocal cord was purple, borderline black. This was good for Izuku's team, bad for Hizashi.
Steeling himself, he looked over at the blood manipulator. "Vlad! Can you use your quirk?"
Vlad didn't even glance at the vigilante, his eyes strictly on the gasping opponent. "Yeah, I barely used it at all."
Izuku nodded. "Good. I'm going to need you to surround Mic."
Vlad arched a brow. "In which way?"
"Just around his hands. He can't fight if his limbs are tied and throat immobilized."
Nodding, Vlad went to work, surrounding the Voice user slowly. Eventually, Vlad's blood formed a kind of restraint that tightly bound Present Mic's hands together.
Vlad nodded to Izuku. "It's done."
Smiling, Izuku walked over to Present Mic. Tilting the blonde's head up towards him, Izuku analyzed the damage. "You are definitely up for a check up at the doctors. Great match, Mic. I wish we could have done this one on one." He placed a finger to a pressure point in the neck and pressed. Soon, the blonde hero slumped to the ground, unconscious.
It wasn't until now that he realized All Might and Midnight haven't made a single comment since the beginning of the match. Looking closely, he noticed they were in stunned silence, not knowing what to say. Motioning his hands to the unconscious Mic, they seemed to snap out of their stupor.
"Uhhh, Yes! Quirkless and Vlad King win the match by knockout!"
The crowed screamed in excitement. Not registering what happened until the knockout, this was a battle to remember!
Chuckling, Izuku walked up to Vlad. Holding a hand out, he smirked. "No hard feelings for next round?"
Taking the hand, Vlad laughed, shaking it. "None whatsoever. I'm looking forward to kicking your ass." The both split apart and walked to the entrances, waiting for Cementoss to finish repairing the stadium floor.
Izuku sadly watched as infirmary bots took both power loader and Present Mic away. I'll pay them a visit after the next match. I hope I didn't hurt them too badly.
{Class 1-A}
There was only one phrase spoken that summarized what the class witnessed.
"Holy shit."
The entire class whipped their heads to the Yaoyorozu heiress, completely shocked at both the battle and her reaction.
Blushing, she grinned. "I knew it! I knew it! I knew he would win! That battle was glorious! I can't believe I have a recording of it. That battle was one in a million!"
Unresponsive, the class nodded, and eventually started talking about the match.
Kirishima was even stunned. Talking to himself, he declared he would do his best on patrol and work even harder to be the fighter his teacher is.
"What the fuck are you talking about, shitty hair?'
"Yes, I'd like to know myself, if you don't mind."
Kirishima paled as he noticed both Yaoyorozu and Bakugo walk up to him. "Uh, hey guys! how about that match, huh? It-"
Bakugo growled. "Save your pathetic talk for last, shitty hair." He started walking, pulling the redhead with him. Momo followed closely behind, shutting the door when the three exited.
The rest of the class was so excited talking about the highlights of the next match that they didn't even notice.
{With the three}
"We're alone. Talk."
Kirishima faked a laugh. "Well, it all started when my mom met my dad and- ugh!"
Bakugo slammed a fist into Kirishima's guts. "No, you dumbass! The both of us know something is up. Before you claim you don't know what we're talking about, we have reasons. Pony express, go ahead. You can tell him better than I can." Bakugo resorted to scowling as Momo continued for him.
"Kirishima, the first thing we noticed was that when the announcement was made that the teachers and staff would be fighting, you seemed like you already knew Quirkless would be there. We figured out who you were talking about.
"The second thing we noticed is that look to be observing only Quirkless. In the first battle and in this more recent battle. You seem to be studying how he moves against opponents that are seemingly more powerful than him.
"The next thing was the fact that you vowed to be just like your teacher and be better on patrol. Considering Aizawa goes on patrol sometimes, he was taken out of the matches by Present Mic, who doesn't fit the part of patrols. It has to be Quirkless."
Kirishima was shaking at this point. Does he tell the truth and leave or lie and fall deeper in the pit?
Before answering, Bakugo spoke once more. "And show us that damn shiny thing on your waist."
Kirishima sighed. "Fine, but you can't tell anyone this information. At all. This is top secret."
The two nodded.
"The truth is, I work with Izuku on his vigilante work. I work with him and the police departments of Musutafu, Hosu, and Tokyo." He brought out his badge, and placed it in Momo's hand. "I'm also certified to do hero work." He took out his hero license and placed it in Momo's hands as well."
Kirishima looked at the floor. "Look, I'm really sorry for hiding this from you, Bakubro. It's that I was told not to say anything at all from both Quirkless and The police department. I wanted to tell you, I really did. I just couldn't."
Momo, only stared at the items in her hand solemnly, feeling empty. A flurry of emotion was circling through her right now. This whole time, Eijiro is a licensed hero? Why didn't Izuku tell me? Am I not that great of a student? What does this mean for the rest of the class? Are we behind? Is Kirishima able to graduate to the second years now? Why is he even playing hero to a world where we're not ready?-
Her thoughts were interrupted by a slam to a table.
"What the fuck weird hair!" The irritable blonde held Eijiro by the collar. She would have been worried for Eijiro's safety, but she knew he'd be fine with his quirk. She let the blonde spew his feelings out.
"So you think you're better than us, shitty hair?! HUH?!" He lit his hands up and constantly beat the red head.
Momo gasped. She would have looked away initially, but she she saw it.
Bruises.
Burns.
Cuts.
Kirishima wasn't using his quirk to defend himself. Did he feel like he deserved this?
She was brought out of her musings when she heard Bakugo constantly slam the other boy into the floor.
"YOU THINK YOU'RE MORE QUALIFIED THAN ME?!" Kirishima was slammed on the floor and kneed in the gut.
"YOU THINK YOURE TOUGH SHIT, SHITTY HAIR?!" Slammed into a wall
"YOU'RE JUST AS USELESS AS THAT SHITHEAD DEKU." He threw the read head into tables. "I was going to apologize to that asshole. but since he has the audacity to train someone as unqualified as you. He doesn't deserve an apology from me."
Momo rushed to Kirishima, and picked him up, slinging his arm over his shoulder. She glared at Bakugo.
"What's wrong with you?" Bakugo arched a brow. Momo continued her screaming. "What did Kirishima do wrong? What did Izuku do wrong in your childhoods?"
Bakugo chuckled. "There you go again. Calling Deku by his first name. What? You slept with him already? He's just a deku." He walked away, not bothering to even glanced at the duo. Stopping, he looked over his shoulder. "Oi, shitty hair. If you have the balls to talk to me again, I'm burning that hero license." He walked off in the direction of the students box.
Momo was speechless. What did she just witness? Her attention was brought immediately to the pained boy around her shoulder. Her eyes widened and she set him on the ground in a seated position. Her expression softened. "Hey, you-"
"Kirishima!" She was interrupted by a man's voice, and footsteps became closer to them. She looked up and saw the very man she was attracted to.
"Hey there, Izuku." Kirishima's voice was uncharacteristically weak. Looking over him, Momo saw he was in worse shape than she initially thought. He was bleeding in several places, his head included. He had several burns speckled over his torso. Bruises decorated his stomach and arms, as well as deep bruising and burns over his wrists.
Izuku looked at Momo stoically. "What happened?"
He shook his head. "No, explain to me what happened in the infirmary. Grab his badge and license from the floor there. We need to hurry." She watched at Izuku picked him up and started running, yelling at her to keep up. She grabbed his things and sprinted after them.
Izuku and Momo surrounded Recovery Girl, as she looked over the red head. After delivering a kiss, most of the injuries abandoned Kirishima, leaving only faint scars where some of the deeper cuts were. After the nurse left, Izuku turned towards the heiress.
His stare wasn't of the angry sort. She couldn't even read him. At all. She felt like she was about to scolded for stealing a cookie from the jar.
"Explain."
Momo started at when they took Kirishima from the student box. She talked about how she felt when she stared at the badge and the license, and she explained what happened to give the boy these injuries. She was so tempted to leave out Bakugo, but she felt he went too far.
Izuku hummed, his stoic expression not wavering. Looking back up to her, he smiled. "You're not in trouble."
Momo looked at him incredulously. "W-what?"
Izuku didn't hesitate to continue. "You're not in trouble. If anyone is is trouble, it's Bakugo. You two were just curious about him, it's natural. However, you should have stopped Bakugo from laying a hand on my apprentice. You get a warning this time. Next time, there will be punishments." His voice was steern and commanding. She looked down.
"Now, chin up! He'll be ok. Kirishima is a tough kid. I've out him through worse training. Now, I have a match to get to. Go ahead and join your friends." He started to walk off.
She started to walk too.
"Hey! Yaoyorozu!"
She turned, and saw the vigilante wave her over.
His demeanor had completely changed. It was like he was back to being fourteen. "Come with me and watch from behind the scenes! It'll be fun!"
She felt a flutter in her stomach. She beamed, sprinting to the vigilante.
"Ok!"
