The first day of the Sports Festival finally ended; the crowds dispersed, excited for the battles of the second years.

Eri was placed on Izuku's shoulders as the two walked to the hero studies classrooms to address them.

Due to complications, internships were postponed for another month.

He knew Aizawa would be overly blunt about what was to come, so Izuku and Eri to the rescue!

He entered class 1-B, and waved to the students. One set of eyes never left him, and he internally shuddered. He remembered the question asked of him, he hadn't made a decision. Friday was only a few days ahead anyway.

He explained to the class that they were to focus on their midterms before even thinking about internships. That was the best course of action for now, according to Nezu.

As of the week, Izuku was to meet with every student who participated in the Sports Festival and discuss further ways to improve themselves if they desired to enter the hero course the next year.

Izuku groaned at the news when he heard it. He sympathized with Aizawa, he was never going to get sleep.

Class 1-B was miffed, but understood that midterms came first. Izuku smiled and let Eri hug Vlad before they left for next door.

Class 1-A was going to be harder to calm down, mainly due to their usual loud nature.

He let Eri run to Aizawa's sleeping form and play with his hair.

He looked to 1-A and smiled.

"Class, I know Aizawa talked about internships before, but due to complications with several agencies and an attack from the league of villains, we have to postpone them until everything settles down."

He waited for the class to settle. As expected, they were rather vocal about their disappointment.

"However," he started. "The pros are going to have more time to pick who they really want, including me." The class looked at him with surprise.

He cut off any voice with a wave of his hand. "Now, for this week, and some of next week, I will be meeting with each if you separately to discuss any method of your quirk use, which includes any blatant weaknesses you weren't aware of, or any advantages I can see being used in the future. I will be meeting with everyone in alphabetical order by last name, so be ready starting tomorrow."

He looked to Eri.

"Come, Eri! Let's go!"

She bounded to him. "Yay! Sleepover!"

After the door shut, Aizawa sat up, his hair done in several braids with plastic flowers in them. He chuckled, an idea spread in mind. He looked to the students. "All right, for the rest of this week, classes are off. However, since he is talking to all of you tomorrow, you will be here at the usual time. This is the only time you get to socialize under my watch. Have a good rest of your week." He walked out, phone in hand.

Izuku walked outside to the entrance of UA, only to see a big black van parked by him. Shrugging, he watched Eri run to him and excitedly grasp his hand. Izuku smiled and started walking, but-

"Psst! Midorya!"

He looked in the direction of the van, only to quizzically tilt his head at the sight.

In the van, was Present Mic, Power Loader, Snipe, Recovery Girl, Aizawa, Ectoplasm, Nezu, and Toshinori, who each held an ice cream cone in their hand.

Izuku would have been amused if they weren't addressing him.

Sighing, he walked with Eri to the car. Why am I even doing this? He looked at the group. "What's up."

Press Mic spoke from the driver's seat. "Come on! We wanna spend time with you and the tyke!"

"You just wanna spend time with Eri, right?"

"..."

"Fine. But we have to do whatever she wants."

The eight members of UA immediately agreed.

The students of 1-A watched in confusion as eight members of UA drove off singing along to the American song "Highway to Hell" with Izuku leading the chorus.

{Thirty minutes later}

"To the carnival!" nine voices sang.

Midway through the route, Izuku answered his phone. "Yell for low. How's it hanging Natsuo?"

His face paled.

"Uh huh, weird. I could have sworn that- Uh huh well, about that-"

click

Izuku ended the call and turned towards his coworkers. "I kinda have to meet the Todoroki family."

Present Mic instantly turned the car around.

"To the Todorokis!" Nine voices sang.

"Eri, these are the Todorokis."

Eri hid behind Izuku's leg, and peeked out. She saw a really tall guy, a tall girl, and a guy as tall as her dad.

The lady looked nice enough, but the tall man looked scary. The other guy was ok since her dad said he was a friend.

The nice lady knelt down and smiled. "Hi! Eri! I'm Fuyumi! I love your hair!"

Eri smiled shyly. "Thank you, F- Fu- Fumi." Fuyumi smiled, gushing at Eri's cuteness.

The tall man knelt down as well, and Eri tried to hide into Izuku's leg. It was only by gentle prodding that she was able to say hi.

Natsuo frowned, but let it go.

Shouto knelt down, and gave a small smile. "Hello, Eri, I'm Shouto." Eri smiled and waved, her mood brightening. "You're the cool guy who makes pretty ice!"

Shouto smiled. "That's right. And you're a really good announcer."

Izuku smiled to the siblings. "I think you'll all get along splendidly." He noticed Natsuo's frown. "Listen, Nat, she's kind of afraid of big people. She wasnt raised like you or me. She was alone. She was hurt by some really bad people with big builds, so don't take it to heart." He clapped his shoulder encouragingly. "She'll warm up to you eventually. Just give it some time." Natuso smiled.

Izuku checked the time and walked to the pantry, collecting a small suitcase full of foods and items. "Eri, it's time to go." Seeing her downtrodden look, he smiled. "Youll be here starting tomorrow, ok? It's just for tonight." She picked up at that, smiling.

He looked to his new residents. "I'm spending the night with Eri at the hospital. I'll be back in the morning. Make yourselves at home. Food is in the kitchen, make whatever you like. Welcome!" He left.

Eri jumped back in the room.

"Byyyeeeeee!" she ran out afterwards.

The new residents laughed, then discussed plans for dinner.

Izuku and Eri were in the hospital room, in which Eri was in her bed. Izuku didn't bring a change of clothes, but he brought plenty of food and snacks for the two of them.

"Tell me about Momo!"

Izuku chuckled. "Well, what do know about her?"

Eri paused, thinking. "She's nice, and pretty, and tall! She can make unicorn stuffies!" Izuku laughed seeing the plush doll of a unicorn held by Eri very tightly.

"Really? I'm going to see if she can make me one too."

"No!" Eri startled him with that announcement. She smiled, holding hers out. "We can share mine!"

Izuku grinned at this. "No, Eri, I was just teasing. It's yours."

Eri nodded, satisfied by the answer. Her eyes widened in realization. "She also likes tea!"

"Oh wow! She must like all sorts of stuff."

"Mhmm." The girl confirmed.

Her eyes brightened again. "Tell me about quirks!"

Izuku smiled.

"Wow, I'm going to have to appoint her in the vigilante business if she takes this much after her dad."

"Funny hat!" Eri cheered. She jumped off the bed and landed in Naomasa's arms.

Naomasa laughed. "How's the princess doing? You keeping your daddy in line?"

"Yeah!"

Naomasa chuckled. "Yeah, he can be a trouble maker."

Izuku waved off the insult. "Hey Nao, how's it going?"

Naomasa turned to Izuku. "Not too bad. I have the documents right here and I brought a friend who can file the case lickity split. She's in the hall right now."

"Oh good."

"Naomasa nodded. If you need me, I'll be outside." He walked out.

Izuku looked at the paperwork, and got to work.

thirty minutes passed and Izuku was finishing up. He looked to Eri, who was playing with a toy plane power loader bought her. "Hey Eri?"

Her attention snagged, she smiled. "Yes daddy?"

Did you like being called Inko today?"

She nodded.

"Well, how about we add that to Eri?" He was nervous about this, and a little hesitant. He wasn't sure if the name of his mother would sit with him again.

If she liked it, he could live with it.

"Yeah!"

He smiled. "Okay, how does Inko Eri Midorya sound?"

She tackled him in a hug. "Yeah!"

He thanked whatever God was out there that she liked it. He almost cried, but that could wait for later. He had to finish the paperwork.

It was almost midnight, and everything slowed down for Izuku and Eri. Naomasa and his guest left, and most of the doctors went home for the night. Eri's pediatrician even cleared her so that they could leave when she woke up.

At the moment, Izuku was on the bed, with Eri cuddled up on him. They were reading a children's book for her bed time.

Surrounding the two were apple cores, candy wrappers, and empty bottles of juice. Eri could say that this was the best night of her life, which it was.

Izuku finished reading when Eri yawned once more.

"Looks like someone is sleepy."

Eri shook her head weakly. "Nuh uh. Not sleepy."

Izuku chuckled. "I think my powerful princess is sleepy. Even princesses get sleepy, Eri."

She shrugged, choosing not to believe it.

Izuku tucked her into the bed, and sat on a chair, grabbing some paperwork to continue for the week.

"Hey daddy?"

"Hmm?" He looked over with tired eyes.

"What did that lady mean by you going for dinner?" Eri's tired eyes had remnants of wonder.

Izuku scratched his neck. "Well, Eri, it means she likes me and wants to... be with me?" She stared at him expectedly. It's hard to talk about these things to a little girl.

He cleared his throat. "It means she wants to hold my hand, and hug me all the time, and have fun."

Eri's head tilted. "But I do that?"

Izuku chuckled. "Yes, Eri, but you're my daughter. Yui wants to go on a date or something."

"And be a mommy?"

Izuku almost spit out the water he sipped. "Well... I don't know... I don't think so?"

Eri was too tired to tackle him. "She's pretty." And with that, she fell asleep.

Before he turned off the main light and on the nightlight, he heard her mumble as she slept.

"I want...daddy.. happy."

He wouldn't admit to anyone but Naomasa that he walked into a closet and wept tears of joy

.

In the midst of the night, while Izuku worked, and Eri slept, several others lay awake.

Shouto

Todoroki brought the blanket closer to his chest. It felt... different... not being controlled for once. To not have to train as soon as he arrived home.

He was still unsure he wanted Endeavor in jail at all.

His instincts as a hero told him to show mercy, but based on what happened in his life, and for Touya, he ultimately decided it was for the best.

He thought about his class. All these wonderfully talented students proved to be amazing by the one on one battles. Tokoyami found our how to move with his shadow. Momo knew how to communicate with and defend a teammate. Her teammate was already a heavy hitter.

He thought about everyone.

There was one anomaly, however, and it made no sense.

Why did Izuku Midorya, a vigilante, apply to the school? He clearly favoured the hero classes, but did he help the support and general education?

It made sense for support, but he didn't understand the general ed.

Maybe he wants everyone to succeed, he reasoned.

Momo

The heiress lay in her large bed, headphones in. She wasn't really listening, it was more to fill the void of an empty house.

Her parents were never home, since their business meetings always took them around the globe.

They called every so often, and Momo could buy whatever she wanted.

There was only one thing she couldn't make or buy.

Someone to help fill that void.

She missed her parents, deeply. She longed to feel their living embrace, to enjoy a cup of tea with them, to discuss anything and everything.

The only ones that kept her company were the butlers and maids, but even they distanced themselves away from her.

Momo had friends, yes, but she often felt they would shy away from her and abandon her once they knew of her upbringing.

It's happened before.

It wasn't like it was her fault she was raised in a rich home. She wasn't oblivious to that fact. There was a reason why she never brought up money, ever.

Instead of wallowing in self pity, she thought about the festival. She thought about the teachers decking it out, and beating the other, and she thought about her matches.

One factor stuck out to her like a sore thumb.

She thought about Quirkless.

She marvelled at him when he was around. How could she not? He was so cool, and agile, and confident. He was everything she wanted to be.

He was also mature. He was raising a daughter, and looked to be amazing at the role. Eri loved him as much as he loved her.

She blushed when she recalled Eri being left in her care. She knew she wasn't good with kids, considering she's an only child, but that desperate look in his eyes, she couldn't refuse.

She thought about Eri. This, she audibly squealed at. She couldn't help it. Eri is just so cute!

Especially when Momo styled Eri's hair to match her own.

She was definitely warming up to the girl.

After calming down, she thought about what Izuku said in class. Even he was looking at students for internships. He already had Kirishima as a partner, would he accept one more student? He was probably trying to scout Todoroki.

Momo slumped, dejected. Todoroki was already so strong. There was no way she could compete with him.

Izuku was also there in the team match. He probably watched as she failed to save her teammate.

So embarrassing.

After a moment's thought, she smiled. She made a decision.

Yui

The silent girl was finishing an assignment for math, the sounds of her pencil dying under the vibrations of her music playing.

Yui places the worksheet in a folder, and sighed.

She collapsed on her bed, exhausted from the day's activities. She looked to her desk and smiled with pride at the medal sitting there.

Out of all those students, and I'm the third strongest.

But was it enough?

She mentally groaned at her inner voice. She did not need to argue with herself right now.

But he even said I did great!

...

At least I asked him.

Oh yeah, Setsuna would be sooo proud of you for getting denied.

It wasn't like that!

...

Was it?

She didn't even have an answer for herself.

Her eyes closed, a small smile remained. One thought echoed while she slept.

Friday.

Shinso

The teen layer on his bed, sweat pouring down his arms. A punching bag was a torn in two, laying on the floor.

He was so angry.

He didn't even make it passed Kirishima!

He wasn't truly angry at anyone. Just himself.

"It's ok Shinso. We'll get them next time."

He looked over and smiled as his new friend, Pony, attempt to cheer him on.

He sighed, sitting up. He had enough training for the day anyway.

While he pondered over what he did wrong, Pony made her way home.

At least I'm in the hero course. That's always been what I wanted.

Is that ever going to be enough?

*sigh* I don't know. Maybe?

So you're going to be the guy who only made it to the hero course by chance.

I- I have to win.

That's right.

Mina

Mina slept in her bed with her boyfriend beside her, and she couldn't be happier.

They had a long discussion about...well them... and they both agreed that sometimes they can accidentally go overboard.

While one thing led to another, the farthest they went was spooning, which was what they were doing presently.

She rubbed her thumb over Kirishima's jawline, and thanked whatever God was out there that he found her, and that she found him.

There was something, though.

Something she didn't quite understand.

If they held no secrets from the other, where did he train all this time? He's been getting better at hiding it, but she did notice his sluggishness sometimes.

She remembered him telling her over phone that he was running errands.

At midnight.

She shook her head. He'd tell her eventually, she was sure of it. She nuzzled into Kirishima's chest, her conscienceness fading.

He would tell her, right?

Tsuyu

She couldn't sleep at all, which was completely unlike herself. Her leg, while healed, was completely sore.

It stopped her from hopping home, forcing her to actually walk.

As she sat in her bed, she recounted the battle she was in against Yui.

She hated that fight with every fiber of her being. She hated looking vulnerable, especially in front of her siblings.

She thought she looked absolutely pathetic.

The worst part was when the counselor noticed them. The disfigurements of her thigh. The scars that reminded her every damned day that she was nothing but an animal.

She couldn't sleep, not now. Every time she closed her eyes, all she saw were the soles of tennis shoes, stomping over her, crushing her spirit to the ground.

Every time she pulled the blanket closer to her, all she could feel was the cold, arctic waters submerging her in her shower, the weight of her uselessness overshadowing her.

She was glad she told the counselor, but she regretted it, in a way.

She loathed what she felt were stares of pity given to her by him.

She sighed, sipping on some tea she made. This was going to be a long night.

If you felt you were truly alone, would you seek out help, or would you wallow in your own reluctance to ask?

Each of these students crosses threads with our quirkless protagonist. Some threads more intertwined than others.

Some of these students may overcome their reluctance, and surely they'll seek out teh help they needed.
