"Out of the way! Move it!"

Izuku was sprinting like his life depended on it. No, he wasn't being chased by villains. Although, he was running for the safety of his life.

He was late. Very late.

It wasn't his fault he was captured by neighbouring gangs hoping to make a quick fifty thousand yen out of him. It wasn't his fault he slumped in his bed at seven in the morning.

Pickup of the interns was at roughly nine in the morning.

It was noon.

Aizawa is going to murder me. He patted his cloak and groaned.

He forgot his phone.

Arriving at the train station, he wandered around and waved at a very vexed Aizawa, who's glare made him turn around and pretend not to notice.

"Izuku."

The teenage vigilante froze, cursing his luck. He swiveled around, panic on his face, which was immediately replaced with a smile.

"Aizawa, buddy! How's it hanging!"

Aizawa just stared at him.

"Wow, is that a new scarf? It looks flattering on you!"

Aizawa still stared, unamused.

Coughing a couple times, he smiled widely. "Now, this was fun, we'll have to catch up sometime." He waved. "Buh bye." He turned and was immediately trapped in the capture gear Aizawa wore around his neck. Turning around, he paled at the angry visage that was the underground hero.

"Izuku, can you tell me why I was waiting here for three hours with seven students, with no response from your late ass, and why you decided to abandon ship just now?"

After a muffled response, Aizawa took back his capture gear, waiting for a reply.

Izuku glanced to the side to see the seven students looking at him curiously. Knowing what he was about to do, Kirishima grinned and motioned for his classmates to grab their stuff.

Izuku cleared his throat. "Well, Aizawa, so the answer is simple."

"I'm listening."

"Vigilante work is tough, and on the topic of the students: RUN!"

Aizawa backed up and turned in all directions as the seven students ran past him and joined the fleeing vigilante, who took the distraction as his opportunity to escape.

The homeroom teacher groaned and rubbed his temples. "I'll deal with him in a week."

Izuku and the seven students walked into his apartment. Six students gazed in awe at the humble look of the living space, while one student walked into the kitchen and grabbed an apple.

Kyoka looked at the vigilante. "Why don't you have an agency?"

Izuku smiled bashfully. "One downside of being a vigilante is that I am not legally able to own an agency or have sidekicks." He nodded at Kirishima. "I am, however, allowed to have partners, like Red Riot over here. In turn for his services for the community, he is granted with a hero license, a police badge, and all rights to use his quirk in public."

All students except for Kirishima gaped at him.

Izuku closed his eyes. It was quiet for just thirty seconds, before-

"WHAT? Can we become partners too?"

-that.

After a minute of the students talking to him and Kirishima, he was able to calm everyone down.

"Izuku."

He turned to Todoroki, who was chomping on an apple.

"Is that why you didn't let me patrol with you? You said it was too dangerous and I couldn't use my quirk."

The students all looked back and forth to Izuku and Todoroki. They had even more questions now.

"Shouto, I'm not going to lie to you. Vigilantism is a very dangerous trade. Even more so than hero work. The police will turn a blind eye towards you when you don't have a hero license. It's illegal for someone with a quirk to do vigilante work. It's technically legal for me since I don't have one.

"Shouto, it's not like I didn't need your help. In fact, the villain Kirishima and I fought was possibly one of the worst villains I've ever gone against. I wished I used your help. However, Kirishima has the license, you don't."

Tsuyu piped up. "So how could we partner with you, ribbit? Do we take a test or something?"

Izuku chuckled. "Everyone, it's not a fate for you to decide. I'm actually the one who chooses partners."

"So what credentials do we need to meet?"

He looked to Shinso, who asked. "I'm sorry, but that is for me to know, and for those who are chosen, to find out."

He clapped his hands together, and smiled. "Now! Let me show you to your rooms! I'm sorry I don't have much space, but we'll have to make do!"

He led the group to a larger area of the apartment. He opened two doors. One room contained a couple beds and sleeping bags. "This room is for the guys. Sorry I have only two beds in there, but if anyone is uncomfortable sleeping on the floor, the couch and chair in the living room are available!"

He turned. "And this is the ladies room." It looked exactly the same as the guy's room. "The couch and chair are still up for keeps!" He turned to the group. "Now, I know they're close to the other, but that doesn't mean you can do whatever you want. Or do, I don't care. If you decide to do anything worth your time, use protection." He winked as he made his way to the kitchen, leaving the group a scarlet mess.

He smirked when he left the area. People could be so easy to mess with. He wondered how Bakugou was doing. He knew Aizawa was probably going too rough on him, but honestly, he was sure Bakugou wouldn't like to be in jail right now.

"Again, Bakugou. Don't make me tell you again."

Bakugou cursed loudly as he held his sprained wrist. He was cut off by a slam to his torso, and was sent to the floor again.

"I said GET UP KATSUKI."

Bakugou never hated his homeroom teacher more.

The group of students returned to the living room after settling in, waiting for any orders from the vigilante. They all slowed to a halt when they found him watching a movie.

Izuku turned around, and puzzlement replaced his grin. "Yeah, what's up?"

"What now?"

Izuku paused at Momo's question. "Well, what were you expecting?"

"Training." The group spoke unanimously.

Izuku placed a finger on his jaw in thought. "Well, the real training doesn't begin until nightfall, because that's when I go on patrol, so I guess we can start out with simple spars."

The group nodded and a couple of the guys started moving the couch.

"Woah woah woah! What are you doing?"

Todoroki deadpanned. "Creating an empty area to spar.

"Not until we finish watching the movie!"

The group blanched. "We?"

Izuku nodded. "That's right. Consider this a part of your training. A team can't function until they become a form of family. That way we always have our back." He sat back down once the couch was in its previous position.

The group glanced at each other and shrugged. They all placed themselves on the couch. Momo and Yui were on both sides of Izuku, Tsuyu was next to Momo, Todoroki was next to Tsuyu, Shinso was next to Yui, Kyoka was in the kitchen looking for some food, and Kirishima was next to Shinso.

"What are we watching?"

Izuku didn't even look towards who asked it. "A classic: Lion King. I'll restart it."

The students all looked at him, confusion laced in their expressions.

"You guys haven't seen the Lion King?"

More blinks.

Izuku smirked. "Before sparring, you all have to tell me your favourite character and why. Now, watch."

The students looked at the vigilante like he was insane, but relented. This sounded fun.

{Two hours later}

The students didn't know what to think. They loved the movie, sure, but they couldn't figure out their favourite character.

Izuku looked at his arms. "Hey Momo, Yui, you two are kinda latched onto me."

"We know."

"I can't move."

"We know."

"If you don't let me go you're staying here tonight while we patrol."

The two girls shot from their positions, mumbling apologies.

Izuku looked at the students. "Well, it's three. Let's make lunch and then hit the gym. It's time you all show me what you can do." He smiled when the students cheered, and they made their way to the kitchen.

{Izuku's personal gym}

"Come on Todoroki! Is that all you've got?"

Shouto grunted as he attempted another uppercut. The spar was without quirks unless permitted, and so far, they weren't. He had to admit, it was much harder to fight without his ice.

He landed on the floor again after a leg swept from under him. Groaning, he stood up, glaring at the yawning vigilante.

Izuku grinned. "That's all for now, Shouto. You did good for your first real spar." He looked to Kirishima. "You're next!"

Kirishima bounded over to him ready to start. Todoroki walked over to his seat and looked at his classmates. All but two of them were seriously bruised. He thought over the matches so far.

Kyoka lost the fastest. She has roughly no training whatsoever, primarily using her quirk to immobilize opponents. With her quirk gone, she became a sitting duck.

Momo also lost quickly, but it wasn't for a lack of skill. It was more a response time for her. She overthought everything and it became a liability in the field.

Tsuyu was definitely on the safer side of the spectrum. Her quirk was a mutation type quirk, so it meant it wasn't one she could prevent using. She has a natural agility that many dreamt of when fighting. She lost, sure, but she wasn't going to be the focus when training.

Yui looked like a truck hit her. Like Kyoka, she had very little training, but she had an awareness of opponents on the field, since she's able to alter the size of objects. He could tell the girl was tempted to just enlarge the shirt Izuku wore to slow him down.

Thinking about himself, he believed that his reflexes just weren't fast enough, as well as his style of fighting. He was so used to using his ice that he became so much more vulnerable to opponents.

Looking at Kirishima, he could see now that he trained with Izuku for some time, and it was this skill he was showing that helped him understand just how he lost so easily to him in the Sports Festival.

Looking over to Shinso, he could tell the purple haired teen was trying his best to figure out how to best the experienced vigilante. Thinking about it, this was a difficult task since Izuku changed his style so often to match the students fighting him.

This internship would be a thousand times more beneficial than any training he was under when Endeavor trained him.

Todoroki watched as Kirishima took his place next to him while Shinso walked over to the mat. Todoroki looked over to the girls, who were silent and looking intently at the match. Shaking his head, he looked to the match, focusing on the fighting styles used.

Eventually, Shinso lost and returned to his seat. Izuku took out a notebook and began writing. Every student stared at him, waiting for him to address them. Nodding, he smiled at them, and walked over.

"Good job, everyone. Now, it is almost time for patrol, so dress in the armored uniforms in the next room. It's almost time for the real training. You all have twenty minutes." He walked out of the room, leaving the students to their own devices.

The students were confused, except for Kirishima. He simply put the outfit on and walked to catch up with the vigilante, making sure he didn't say anything about the training.

Tsuyu watched him leave and turned to her classmates. The boys grabbed their garments and left to change in another room, making sure the girls had their privacy.

Meanwhile, Kirishima and Izuku grabbed a bite to eat while the students were changing.

"So, Izuku, you having them jump over rooftops today?"

Izuku nodded. "Yes, on top of other training. Although, it's going to be hell for them, especially Kyoka. She hasn't had any training at all."

"Are you sure it's not to spend some extra time with her? You did tell me you thought she's cute."

Izuku pinched the bridge of his nose. "Kirishima, I swear. I was just answering the question. Yeah I think she's cute, but I'm not doing this to impress her. This is to help her on her journey to be a hero."

He paused when he saw a ferocious grin spreading on Kirishima's face. "What?"

"So what was that about with Momo and Yui? Surely you're not trying to impress them either, eh?"

Izuku put his face in his hand. "That's classified, Kirishima."

A snort was heard. "Oh I'm sure. Remember to use protection."

Kirishima sprinted away with laughter when Izuku took out a pen knife and charged after him.

What they didn't notice was a startled gasp from the hall over.

A purple haired teen placed a hand over her chest, unbelieving what she just heard from the vigilante.

He thinks I'm...cute?

The figure was taken by her musings when she heard her friends walking in her direction.

Shaking her head, she ran off to join them.

All eight figures stood on the rooftop of Izuku's apartment. Izuku smiled. "All right, everyone. First part of internship training: rooftop parkour!"

Six students blinked as they tried to process the information.

Kirishima laughed. "We're hurling ourselves over rooftops today. Then we go into patrol. It's easy!"

The students all turned away and started to walk.

"Wait!" Izuku cried out.

The students halted.

"Just give it a try, ok? I promise I won't let you fall too hard."

The students relented, walking back to where the vigilante and hero stood.

Izuku smiled. "Good. Now, Kirishima, would you mind demonstrating?"

Kirishima nodded, and walked to the opposite side of the building.

"Okay everyone, now you have to get a good momentum going-" he started running full speed- "and when you reach the ledge you-" he jumped already several meters in the air. "-JUMP!"

He rolled as he landed, bowing when he jumped up.

The students were in awe. Tsuyu immediately hopped to the end of the building.

The students watched as the frog girl stood in one spot. They could tell she was nervous just from the thought of attempting this.

Izuku called out to her. "You can do it, Tsu! I believe in you!"

That seemed to snap her out of it. She looked at him and nodded, determination now expressed through her eyes, and she ran.

She remembered what Kirishima said. Gain enough momentum, and jump!

She leaped, and she looked around.

Everything felt like time slowed. She looked to the side. The view of the city here was marvelous. She noticed the way colours bounced off the other. The sunset shone with oranges, yellows, and pinks she never appreciated before.

It was almost like she took everything for granted.

Her head snapped forward, and she smiled as the ledge of the building soared beneath her, and she landed.

She looked at Kirishima, who was clapping.

She looked to the other ledge, and she grinned at the students and vigilante cheering for her.

She felt like she could do anything.

Izuku grinned as he watched the frog girl soar over the rooftop. His smile widened as he saw that she was taking in her first view.

Her first rooftop view.

He clapped his hands when she landed, and the others quickly followed suit, cheering when she looked over to them.

He cleared his throat. "Alright, who's next?"
