Izuku and Tsuyu were currently in hospital beds in Hosu General Hospital. While Izuku felt he didn't need rest, he was ordered by Recovery Girl, who came to Hosu to assist in the recovery of heroes, sidekicks, and civilians alike, to be treated for a katana pulled from his back.
The doctors all refused visitors for the vigilante, as they all felt that since he didn't get proper hero training he didn't need visitors. Izuku rolled his eyes at the news. He relaxed when Recovery Girl ignored them and told him that as soon as Tsuyu wakes up his "posse" can visit.
Izuku laid there and thought about what exactly happened. He wondered if he should punish his interns. Tsuyu was fortunate that Recovery Girl was in Hosu, otherwise he was unsure if she could do hero training when she went back to school.
He was aware that the students were powerful. However, they are gravely inexperienced. The only one who really gets a pass for showing up is Kirishima, thanks to his hero license.
On top of that, Yui almost killed a man. This was the toughest case, since he was trying to kill them. If she was aiming to kill she could get in serious trouble. But if she knew where to strike, then that only raised more questions.
If he was honest with himself, he knew the students had to be reprimanded. He was aware that he was the superior in this case.
When did being independent become so hard?
He was brought from his musings when he heard Tsuyu groan. Looking over from his bed, he chuckled when the girl blinked and looked around frantically.
Tsuyu calmed when she saw Izuku. Soft ribbits could be heard, and she reached for her neck.
"I wouldn't do that if I were you." She jumped when Izuku spoke. She felt it anyways and hissed in pain.
Izuku chuckled. "Told you."
Tsuyu lightly glared at him, then gasped when memories filled her mind.
"Izuku! You.. dove onto me… You saved me, ribbit."
Izuku smiled. "I only protected you. Yui should be the one to thank: she defeated Stain."
"How?"
"By almost killing him."
Tsuyu was shocked. The girl was usually quiet. She couldn't imagine her killing anyone.
"Will she be in trouble, ribbit?"
Izuku frowned. "I don't actually know, for sure. I'm inclined to say no, as a vigilante, but as a hero in training, Yui should have found another way to defeat him. Hurting someone out of anger, even in the heat of the moment, is wrong. I was in shock when she defeated him, so I didn't reprimand anyone at the time." He placed his hand on his chin.
"Ribbit. We shouldn't have come." Izuku looked back to Tsuyu. She was downcast, tears starting to spill from her.
"Tsuyu, look at me." She did as told. "You all really shouldn't have come to Hosu. It was dangerous. You got hurt badly. If Stain was just a tad sloppy, then… Anyways, I will leave the punishments to the chief of police here." Tsuyu nodded.
"Guests have arrived!"
Izuku and Tsuyu looked up and smiled. Todoroki, Shinso, Kyoka, Kirishima, Yui, and Momo walked through the doors, all perfectly fine. Izuku was grateful that they were okay.
Kirishima walked up to Izuku. "How's the back?"
"What, no quips for me?"
"Nah, you've been through hell. Teasing you would be spineless."
"There it is."
Kirishima and the others looked to Tsuyu. "Tsuyu! Are you okay?" Momo was the one to walk to the frog girl, sitting on the edge of the bed.
Tsuyu nodded. "Ribbit. Yes, I'm fine."
The others nodded, talking about what happened earlier, how cool Izuku looked, and how amazing Yui was.
Izuku cleared his throat, gaining everyone's attention. "While I'm grateful that all of you came to the scene, I'm disappointed in each of you for coming at all." The students looked down. "There was no reason to come, and there was no reason to put a villain in critical condition." Izuku's eyes rested on Yui.
The students were conflicted. What were they to do? Sit around and wait for Izuku to die?
"As it is, Tenya is already in enough trouble for engaging with a villain without proper authority. I don't know what the consequences for Yui's actions will be. Now, from this moment until the internship ends, you are all to follow my every order with no question, got it?" His voice became hard towards the end, leaving no room for arguments.
The students all nodded. "Yes sir!"
"Very good." A new voice entered the room. The voice belonged to one figure, and at least three walked in.
The owner of the voice was a man with the head of a dog wearing a black suit with a white tie covered in black spots. Izuku grinned, recognizing him.
Turning to his students, Izuku smiled. "Everyone, this is Kenji Tsuragamae, the police commissioner of Hosu. The other man following is detective Naomasa Tsukauchi, and following them is the captain of the Hosu police force." He nodded to the seemingly plain man dressed in blue. "I assume you're here to divide the punishments of the students?"
Kenji nodded. "To my knowledge, the punishment for most of the students will be light, as they participated in no violence of the hero killer." The students relaxed. "However, Yui Kodai, you are under arrest…" Yui stiffened, Izuku glared at the commissioner. "If this was under normal circumstances."
Yui and Izuku stopped, confused.
Kenji continued. "To my understanding, you attacked Stain in defense of Quirkless here, correct?"
Yui nodded.
"Woof. Whatever your motive may be, you went to the aid of Quirkless, and if it wasn't for you, he would probably be in a body bag rather than hospital bed at this moment."
The students paled at the image.
"That being said, you are not to be unpunished. "Yui Kodai, you're being placed in house arrest until the end of your internship. Training can be held inside, but any ideas of patrol are out the window." Yui nodded, Izuku sat thinking.
The commissioner nodded. "Take this as your only warning, Kodai. Any action similar to this in the future will be treated as a criminal act, woof."
He turned to leave, but was stopped by a chill in the air.
"Anything I can do for you, Mr. Todoroki?"
Behind him, Shouto glared at him. "This isn't fair, and you know it." He clenched his fists together. "Stain is a criminal, he would have killed Izuku, Tsuyu, and Iida if it weren't for Yui. You should be thanking her instead of scolding her, you mutt." His words were full of hatred. It was unbecoming for a hero like him.
"Todoroki, that's enough!"
The dual user halted his cold front, looking questionably at the vigilante.
Izuku sighed. "The commissioner is correct, Shouto. What she did was close to criminal. If she wasn't more careful, then she would have killed Stain. We will take this warning, and any more out of you on this matter will be severely punished. Understand?"
Todoroki nodded.
Izuku nodded in satisfaction. Looking towards the commissioner, he smiled. "We understand what you're saying, commissioner. She will not be patrolling with me."
Kenji nodded. He looked back at Yui. "Thank you for your service, Ms. Kodai."
Izuku laughed. "You could have started with that, Ken." Kenji only shook his head as he left the room.
Naomasa chuckled. "Alright then. Now, I have to start questioning…"
It was midnight, and the vigilante returned to his home with the students. All the lights were off, so it meant everyone was asleep.
Izuku turned to the students, and placed a finger over his lips. He needed them quiet so Fuyumi wouldn't get onto him. An angry Fuyumi was not one to trifle with. He realized he never informed her that any of them were even hurt, so she might be a little mad.
He slowly unlocked the door, silently ushering the students in, and he sighed with relief when he closed the door behind him. He was safe -
The lights flickered on, showing a very ticked off Fuyumi seated with Eri and Kota, who were stoic.
Izuku sweatdropped. I wonder how long they've practiced that.
He cleared his throat. "Hey, guys! How's it-"
"What the hell, Izuku?"
Izuku was silenced, having the audacity to look embarrassed. "I uh-"
"You had a sword stuck in your back?"
"Well I uh-"
"You fought a major villain?"
"You see-"
"You were in the hospital, and didn't call anyone?!"
"You know I-"
"Do you know how worried Eri and Kota were? I got a call from a man named Naomasa Tsukauchi who explained everything. He called because he thought to let me know that the children's father is okay."
Izuku grumbled. "Of course he'd blab."
"What was that?"
Izuku immediately recoiled. "Oh-nothing!" Fuyumi was scary like this. It reminded him of when he angered his mother.
Izuku sighed. "Listen, I'm sorry I didn't call. I kind of thought I could handle it. I've gone through worse before, and I knew the kids were in good hands. I-"
Knock knock knock
Fuyumi walked passed him and practically ripped the doors off its hinges. "What-" she stopped when she looked at the face of the stranger.
The man had navy blue hair that reached his shoulders, as well as dark blue eyes to match. He wore a nervous smile, and he was fidgeting. The most noticeable thing about him were the crutches seemingly glued to his sides.
The boy next to him was near a mirror image of him, just smaller and with glasses, along with shorter hair. He too wore a nervous smile, but all he had that was noticed was a yellow cast connected with a sling.
Izuku walked up to the door and smiled. "Well if it isn't for my old friend Tensei! Oh, with Tenya to boot! Come on in!"
Fuyumi was speechless as the pro hero and his brother walked in, their shoes coming off at the door.
Tensei grinned. "It's been too long, Izuku. Nice home!"
"Thanks!" He silently mouthed 'Thank you' when Fuyumi wasn't looking.
The pro hero and vigilante sat in the living room, and talked away, completely forgetting about the students that just stood around quietly, unsure of what to do.
After a minute of chatter, Izuku laughed. "What brings you here, Tensei? It's not everyday that pro hero Ingenium stops by. I'm surprised you still remembered where this place was."
Tensei nodded. "Right! Well," he motioned for his brother to stand next to him. "I just wanted to tell you just how much it means to us to go out of your way to save Tenya here. Sure, he might be a stiff, but he really owes you one for saving his life."
The two bowed. "Thank you."
Izuku chuckled. "You two don't need to bow to us. At any rate, you shouldn't be thanking just me." When the brothers looked up, they noticed Izuku motioning his interns forward.
The brothers smiled, and the students did the same.
Izuku was content at what was just happening. He knew he wasn't the one to take all the credit, since the students helped pull him out too.
After a minute he pulled Tenya aside, allowing Fuyumi and the kids to interact with the pro.
"Tenya." The boy in question looked at the vigilante nervously. "I am so disappointed in you." Tenya looked down. "Naomasa Tsukauchi informed me that you seeked revenge on Stain, since the killer hurt your brother." He waved his hand to the hero. "Does he look that injured to you? All the killer did was break his leg."
Tenya started to mutter, which Izuku halted immediately. "There is no excuse for what you've done, Tenya. As your counselor, I will immediately have you suspended from hero training for two weeks."
Tenya looked irritated. "But what will I do in that time?"
Izuku cut any further questions with a glare. "You will be spending those classes with me. You and I are going to have a fun time discussing actions you can take mid battle, or even outside of battle. After the two weeks it's up to you to determine how you'll catch up with your classmates."
Tenya grumbled.
"Is that understood?"
"Yeah."
Izuku's right eye twitched. "Is that UNDERSTOOD?"
Tenya snapped up. "Yes! I vow not to do anything that reckless again!"
Izuku nodded. "Good. Now rejoin your brother. You two are staying for dinner." He smirked at a smiling Fuyumi, who twirled her hair around her finger.
"Oi! Tensei!"
The older Iida looked to the vigilante. "Hm?"
"You hungry?"
Review time!
Once again, thank you to everyone who reviews! It means a lot, and I gain some valuable insight, as well as more ideas for chapters to come! And a huge thanks to everyone who enjoys the story!
So, about this chapter. I had something else completely in mind for it, but a reviewer (guest) commented that the students should have been reprimanded, and I was like "you're right!" To explain why they weren't at the time, Izuku was in shock since a literal sword was lodged in his back, so naturally he wouldn't discipline anyone. To explain Yui kissing him, it was a spur of the moment thing. She has a huge crush on Izuku, so any opportunity would be taken, like how Momo kissed him.
Izuku will be in a poly relationship, so any guesses on who will be the lucky ladies? I have a plan for how this will go down. Well, more like Izuku is the lucky one.
Now, while this isn't a review, I do have a question. Would you all like me to continue going with the cannon, or would you like for me to split from the story of the anime? I want to know because if going by cannon this story could easily go 100 chapters, and the anime isn't even finished yet. Please comment which one you want!
That's all from me! Please enjoy the story, and I will talk shop in the next few chapters!
