Hey folks.

So, I'll be honest with you all, I simply don't feel like writing the last chapter. My mind has been on other stuff lately. Life has been complicated, and quite frankly, I'm getting invested in other shows. So I would rather put my energy into newer stuff than stare at a blank page I can't fill in.

In any case, there wasn't much left to write about. The fic ended in the previous chapter; this chapter was supposed to be a mini-epilogue of sorts —mostly because people had become attached to Soledad and Rain and I wanted to give them (and Steven) a proper closure. For what matters, you should consider the fic ended in chapter 17.

However, it didn't feel right to leave you guys in the fog about certain things, so I decided to simply write, in plain words, what was gonna happen in the epilogue.

So here it goes.

-First, we begin with Ringo. Remember him? The asshole who was throwing the party in chapter one. He wasn't originally going to appear again, but many people seemed upset he got his way, so I decided to bring him back. So anyway, he wakes up around noon in his house. He'd a good night 'cause he got lucky with a lady but got mad because she complained he was being 'too rough'. He gets up all hangover and hears the door knocking. Who is it? Steven. Ringo doesn't recognize him at first, what with the clothes shift and the change of attitude. Steven uses his new mind-manipulation powers to convince Ringo to not be such a dick in the future. Ringo is left confused, and once Steven leaves, doesn't remember the talk, but 'decides' to make a change for the better.

-Then we get a scene inside the Hostel. Soledad is making herself a new phone from scratch. She's still feeling the effects of Steven's powers: she can sense the electricity inside the wall and know things before they happen. She senses someone knocking at the door before the knock happens. She ignores it and someone else picks it. A few minutes later, one of the other tenants of the Hostel comes in with a letter. It's for her. It doesn't have a name on it, but Soledad knows who it is from. She's left alone. Rain comes to the Hostel. She's been selling stuff at her 'food truck' but forgot something (I couldn't decide what). Soledad asks her about the night before. Rain says they should all talk; she, Soledad, and Peeps, when they are together and alone. Soledad asks Rain if she should open Steven's letter. Rain says it's her choice and leaves. Soledad opens it. It has Steven's phone number and a message. "In case you decide you need a friend. S." Soledad folds the letter and puts it into her pocket.

-Final scene is Steven driving his car. It's still pretty broken, but Steven heard there's a mechanic in the next town that might fix it. The Dog is sitting in the passenger seat. He'd been washed by a vet and has a brand new collar. Also, Steven changed his name from 'Killer' to 'Buddy'. As he is driving, Steven receives several messages from Soledad, Rain, and Peeps. He receives one final message from Connie, commenting on the photo of Rain's unsanitary 'Food Truck'. As he drives, the Country Mixtape starts playing 'Ghost Riders in the Sky', and Steven shouts happily how much he loves the Mixtape. The fic ends with Steven enjoying the open road and feeling like he was driving a ship, sailing the open sky.

And that's it. It sounds long, but it was actually gonna be a middle-length chapter, around 3000 words or so. It hurts me to not write this final chapter, especially that last scene since I had it so clearly on my mind from the beginning.

But like I said, I'd rather end the fic like this, with a summary of the last chapter events, than to leave it incomplete forever. I didn't want to start the New Year with an incomplete fic.

Anyway, I don't have too much to say except THANK YOU, to all of you who read this personal and funny fic that I never thought would grow as it did. Thanks for all your comments and likes, and I invite you to read some of my other, newer stuff, or follow me on Tumblr or Twitter.

Without much left to say, I bid you all farewell, Happy Holidays, and Happy New Year!
