Part V
Revelations

"Did you do it?" A stranger asked. "Did you do what you were hired to do?"

"Dealt with." Responded Kenny. "How many years I been down there, hm? The mother and her lover are dead, by my own blade to their throats."

"Good. They're gone, therefore they cannot cause any more interference. But what of the child she carried? Did it still linger in her womb?"

"Didn't see no kid. Though with the panicked lashings from her, I didn't have much time to have a grope at her stomach for an unborn baby..." Kenny hissed, knowing his little fury was all tied to the man who demanded her parents killed.

"Killing the mother may have been enough to kill the child, as long as it was not brought out of the womb. For it was possible it could've been a Bloodborn. Such monsters... They were almost wiped about many years ago because they became feared by the people they once protected. Only true, pure-blooded Eldian's could birth a Bloodborn. It's why I wanted the parents dealt with, as well as the child itself. I can't lose my popularity with the people."

Kenny raised an eyebrow. "What the fuck is a Bloodborn?" For this he was not aware of. And even now, he chose to keep Fury a hush, remembering her silver bracelet that held her name engraved upon it.
Aya Tybur.
This man feared her that much that he wanted both the mother killed to prevent her birth. Kenny knew from the moment he heard Fury's real name spoken to him that she was the child he should've killed too.
So easy it would have been to place his knife into the stomach of the mother, and he chose not to.

"Something that shouldn't exist. They can turn the tides of this upcoming war. Fear of Titans didn't exist until they were all nearly wiped out due to an old King's stupid decisions."

"You avoiding my question?" Asked Kenny, clearly debating whether to go back and deal with Fury. And he saw no threat ever come off the girl.

"They controlled them. The Titans. Although a Co-ordinate Titan exists, the Bloodborn's were of the many. They kept the Titans away from humanity long before these walls her built.
It's… unnatural. The way they commanded the blood and muscle of their enemies to sway to their every telling."

"You telling me that these people controlled not just Titans but people too by… manipulating their fucking blood? Why the hell did you want me to kill her?! If she can do that, she could stop this damn war against the Titans!" Kenny argued. He almost couldn't believe it.

"Excuse me? Her?"

Kenny remained silent.

"Are you telling me you never killed the damn child? You damn failure of a man!"

"Murdering kids is where even someone like me draws the line..."

"Don't you get it?! That child can become a weapon in the wrong hands! I also need the damn Titans, you fool! For my plan! The whisper of a Bloodborn still existing will cause more than an uproar. She'd be fought over. I wanted her dead because the man her mother ran off with could also potentially be her father. It was only after some background digging was I able to find that he wasn't an Eldian. And as much as it pains me that she is mine, I can not allow a Bloodborn become what the people need.
The other Tybur's wanted her within their little clique so that they can have her use her abilities on humanity, giving the Eldian's back their control and as for the resistance here in these walls, well… They've been fighting against these Titans for years now. They find out about a Bloodborn, they'll want her to use her abilities to repel the Titans, even kill them through manipulation! And with our co-ordinate gone… should the two ever work in unison, only one out of the three opposing sides will succeed!

And so, I repeat, as it pains me that she is of my own blood, I cannot have her be fought over like that. But I also cannot risk what I have worked so hard to achieve."

"So you're telling me you were willing to allow you're own flesh and blood be brutally murdered for the sake of your campaign about freedom?" Kenny huffed, lowering his head.
He was a man of many wrong doing's, but even Kenny felt that one hit a bit too close to home.

The stranger tutted. "If only you could understand... Bloodborn's abilities trigger from stress, anger. They're at their most strongest when given a reason to be. And because you've been holding her hand for an entire year, you've given her every reason to gain a motive and reach her potential!
For the day the skies turn blood red, humanity shall turn on each other in fear…"

"That kid has been given a choice. To live as how she wants, or eventually find her way to you and the rest of your genocidal clan. Just as it was mine not to kill her in that damn womb..." Kenny hissed.

"Mia must have been able to birth her as she was dying herself... You damn fool...A swift end means an instant one."The stranger then looked out of his carriage's small window, looking at the sky. The potential of one may one day become the fate of many. And this feared him.
His own daughter could become his greatest enemy. But was there still a way to guide her to him? To sway her to his side of things? Time would tell.

And for Kenny. He remained true to the choice he decided to make. Of course he knew the woman was heavy in pregnancy, but even he has morals. Killing children is just not something even Kenny Ackerman can do. And yet, he attains no regret. He has given his little fury to skills to live, despite knowing she had her questions.
There would be a day she may be able to tell him that she cannot forgive the choices he made. But that was something Kenny was already beginning to accept.
