Elena, Bonnie and I were sitting in Elena's room with Elena holding the moonstone.

"Now that you've got this back, what are you gonna do with it?" I asked Bonnie.

"Right now, it's what is binding the Sun and the Moon Curse. If I can figure out a way to remove the spell from the stone, the stone becomes useless." she told us.

"And according to Katherine, Klaus becomes vengeful." Elena told her.

"Maybe. If he finds out." Bonnie reminded her.

"Bonnie, can't this wait? Stefan is stuck in the tomb with Katherine. We've got to get him out." Elena begged her.

"Stefan wants me to focus on this." Bonnie told her.

"Don't listen to him. He thinks that he's protecting me, but he's wrong." Elena told her.

"We're taking Stefan's side with this one. We're not gonna let you get used in some creepy sacrifice ritual." I told her and she and Bonnie looked at me strange. Jeremy walked in and Bonnie took the moonstone from Elena.

"What are you guys arguing about?" Jeremy asked us.

"We're not arguing about anything." Bonnie told him putting the stone into her bag. "I need a coffee." she got up and left leaving Jeremy, Elena and I alone.

"What?" Elena asked us as we stared at her.

"Why are you on some suicide mission?" he asked looking at the two of us.

"Don't bring me into this. Suicide/Homicide mission done." I told him holding onto my abdomen. Jer smiled at me then turned to Elena.

"I'm just trying to prevent everyone else from getting killed." Elena told him.

"Oh so, bringing Klaus the moonstone so you can get yourself killed is okay?" Jeremy asked her. He shook his head and left with me right behind him.

"So what's your plan?" I asked him.

"What do you mean?" he asked me when we got into his room, closing the door.

"Come on. I know you guys. The two of you wouldn't leave the moonstone in there with either of us alone without a plan." I told him. We heard the door to our sister's room close and Jer walked out of his room and into hers. "What are you looking for?" I asked as I watched him search Bonnie's bag.

"The moonstone. It's gone." he told me and I sighed. We both walked downstairs behind Elena.

"She took the moonstone." Jer told Bonnie.

"How did you...?" Elena started asking him.

"We tested you, and you failed." Bonnie told her.

"Impressive." I told them.

"Klaus killed Katherine's entire family just because she crossed him. I can't let that happen." Elena said looking at the three of us. Bonnie moved from the door and Elena stared at her a moment before continuing down the stairs and trying to leave. An invisible barrier stopped her from leaving the house, trapping her inside. She turned back to us and gave us all a glare. "What did you do?"

"It's for the best, Elena." Bonnie told her looking to Jer. Jer was smiling at her as Elena tried to break the barrier.

"I'm heading out." I told them walking out the open doorway.

"Why?" Bonnie asked me.

"I'm meeting Damon today. Don't worry, he'll keep an eye on me." I told them.

Damon and I were standing at the tomb's entrance talking with Stefan.

"You trapped her in the house?" Stefan asked us after I finished telling them what happened at the house.

"It's for the best. Trust me. Elena is on a martyr tear that rivals your greatest hits. You should be glad the witch and I are even getting along. I brought you this." Damon told him pulling out a bag.

"Care package: candles, lanterns and lunch." I told him pulling out the bottle of animal blood.

"Give that to me and I'm just gonna have to share it with her." he told me and looked at Katherine who was standing not too far away. "And?" I asked him. Damon bumped my arm lightly and I gave him a look.

"You two are surprisingly calm, considering Klaus will hunt you down and kill you if you mess with his little plan." Katherine said looking at the two of them.

"I've been dead before. I got over it." Damon said looking from her to Stefan. "Once we deal with this moonstone, we'll figure a way to get you out." Damon told him.

"Don't worry about me. Just make sure Elena and Nicole are safe." Stefan said looking from me to Damon.

"Aww, Stefan. I didn't know you cared." I said smiling.

"I'm not heartless. Plus if you die then Elena will be depressed." he told me. Damon grabbed my arm and pulled me away from the tomb.

"So are you and Katherine still talking with each other?" Damon asked me as we drove to my home.

"No. I haven't been in contact with her since you put her in there." I told him.

"How do I know I can trust you?" he asked me smirking and I sighed.

"You don't. But you and I are a lot alike. We both have siblings that we will both kill and die to protect. We're the bad guy in their minds when someone needs blaming after we do one thing wrong in their mind." I told him looking out the window. He was silent for a moment.

"Sorry." he said and I looked at him. "So who's the dad of your baby?" he asked me.

"You just might hurt me if I told you." I told him.

"Does Katherine know?" he asked me and I looked towards the window again. "She does, doesn't she?"

"Yes." I told him simply as he pulled up to my house. "When everyone is all together again, I'll tell you guys. I promise." I told him getting out of his car. He got out of his car and we went into the house and saw Elena in the living room.

"You should really lock your door." he told her as we sat next to her on the couch. "Oh, come on, pouty. At least give me two points for ingenuity." he told her.

"Do you think this is funny?" she asked him.

"Yes Elena. I find hilarity in the lengths that I have to go to repeatedly save your life." Damon told her sarcastically.

"What does Stefan say about this?" she asked turning to me.

"We all had a good laugh." I told her.

"And what did he say about Elijah still being alive?" Damon and I stared at each other.

"We didn't tell him." I told him.

"Why not?" she asked us.

"Well A: he can't do anything about it; and B: ... what I just said." Damon told her as Jeremy entered the room and sat with us.

"Where is Bonnie?" I asked him.

"I thought she was meeting you guys." he told me.

"No, she's on moonstone duty and I'm on Elena patrol." Damon told him.

"And who's on Tyler Lockwood and the full moon?" Jeremy asked.

"Caroline asked Damon if she could handle it." I told him.

"I said yes, why not? Figured if she screwed up, he'll bite her and then I'll be rid of two of my problems." Damon said explaining why he said Care could handle Tyler.

"Hold on a second. Tonight's the full moon?" Elena asked us as Damon's phone rang.

"Yep, but you were too absorbed with all your suicidal tendencies to notice." he told her answering his phone. "What? What? Why? What girl? That's not good. Where are you? I'm on my way."

"Well that was a stirring conversation." I told him.

"Change of plans. You babysit." Damon said pointing to us. I got up as Jeremy laid down on the couch, resting his head on Elena's lap. "Where are you going?" Damon asked me.

"With you." I told him.

"No you're not. You are staying here with your siblings." he ordered.

"I'm not sitting in this house when something exciting is going to happen." I told him. He sighed and nodded his head at me.

"Fine." he looked to Elena. "Hey you know, you should get out, enjoy the sun. Oh wait, you can't." Elena threw a cushion at us and Jer laughed as we walked out the door.

"Where are we going?" I asked him.

"The Grill, where else?" he asked me as we got into his car.

Damon and I sat across from Alaric and stared at the new girl.

"Mmm, Mason's mystery girl." Damon said.

"Where is Mason anyway?" I asked him.

"Decomposing in his truck." he said smiling at me.

"Lovely." I said.

"So you think she is a werewolf?" Alaric asked him.

"Well I hope not, being that it's a full moon, Rick, but we should definitely find out." Damon said taking a bag from his pocket holding an herb.

"What is that?" I asked him.

"Wolfsbane." he said smiling at the two of us. We made a plan to try and see if the woman was a werewolf or not and Alaric set it in motion by sitting net to her pretending to be drunk.

"Well hello. Can I have a scotch and whatever this beautiful woman is drinking." Alaric told the bartender.

"No, one is my limit." She told him laughing lightly.

"Oh come on, it's not like I'm a freak. I'm just being friendly to somebody who's new to town." he told her.

"Okay, if you insist. How do you know I'm new?" She asked him.

"Because I've never seen you here before and I am here every night." he told her as Damon made his entrance.

"Excuse me, is this guy bothering you?" Damon asked her.

"I'm not bothering anybody." Alaric told him.

"Perfect. Well... Do it elsewhere." Damon told him and Alaric looked at him.

"Don't worry, he's harmless. He's sort of the town drunk. And you know, when we get tired of him we just put him in a cab and send him back to wherever he came from." Damon told her while I watched Alaric put the herb into her drink.

"Please don't talk about me like I'm not here." Alaric asked him as Damon took the drink from Alaric and gave it to the woman.

"Why are you here?" Damon asked him.

"Thank you for the drink." she said to Alaric as he raised his glass and left joining me at the table. I felt my phone vibrate and pulled it out and answered it.

"Hello?"

"Hey, Nikky, could you come home for a minute?" Jenna asked me.

"Uh, sure. Just give me a moment and I'll be there." I told her hanging up. "Hey, I gotta go home." I told Ric and he nodded at me still watching Damon and the woman. "Give me the details later." I said leaving. I grabbed a cab and went home to see Jenna running around like a headless chicken as Elena came downstairs.

"Hey, what are you doing?" I asked her. Jenna looked up from her searching and smiled at us.

"Perfect timing." she said giving Elena's a box.

"What is this stuff?" Elena asked her.

"Your mom's files from the Historical Society. I got roped into helping Mrs. Lockwood and by roped, I mean very excited to participate." she said closing the door revealing Elijah on the other side. He smiled as Elena and I stared at him in shock.

"Hey, I'm Elijah." he introduced himself to us.

"Elijah is in town doing research on Mystic Falls." Jenna told us as he walked closer to us.

"It's a pleasure." He said holding his hand out to me. I shook his hand and he moved his hand to Elena.

"So you're welcome to stay here and rummage through this stuff or Elena, Nikky and I could help you load it into your car." Jenna suggested to him.

"Or I can get someone to pick it up tomorrow." he told her and she smiled at him.

"Also a good plan." he told him.

"Thank you so much for inviting me into your home, Jenna; Elena and Nicole..." he turned from her to us. "I hope to see you again sometime soon." he said leaving. Elena grabbed my arm and I followed her upstairs to Jeremy's room. Elena knocked on the door when I felt a hand on my wrist. I looked to see Elijah and grabbed Elena's hand as Jeremy opened the door. Elijah hid from his view.

"What is it?" Jeremy asked us.

"Jenna was just asking me to get you to help her with the boxes." I told him.

"Okay." he told me leaving to go downstairs.

"A wise choice." Elijah told me.

"What do you want?" I asked him.

"I think it's time the three of us had a little chat." he told us and we walked into my room. "Forgive the intrusion. I mean your family no harm." he told us.

"Why did you kill those vampires when they tried to take us?" Elena asked him.

"Because I didn't want you to be taken. Klaus is the most feared and hated of the Originals. Your sister should know that." he said looking to me. I looked down and held my unborn child. "But those that fear him are desperate for his approval. If word gets out that the doppelgänger exists, there'll be a line of vampires eager to take you to him and I can't have that." Elijah finished saying looking at her.

"Isn't that exactly what you're trying to do?" I asked him.

"Let's just say that my goal is not to break the curse." Elijah told us and I gave him a confused look.

"So, what is your goal?" I asked him.

"Klaus's obsession has made him paranoid. He's a recluse. He trusts only those in his immediate circle. Until he met you, Nicole. He trusted you above even them. Then you fell off the radar." he said giving me a pointed look.

"Does he trust you?" Elena asked him, drawing his eyes off me.

"Not anymore." he told her/

"You don't know where he is, do you? So you're trying to use me to draw him out." I said.

"Well, to do that I need you and your sister to stay put and stop trying to get yourselves killed." he told us.

"How do I know you're telling the truth?" Elena asked him.

"Trust me, Elena. Elijah is the honorable one of Originals. If he wanted us dead we'd be in Klaus' hands right now." I told her.

"Instead, I'm here and I'm prepared to offer you a deal." Elijah told us.

"What kind of a deal?" Elena asked him.

"Do nothing. Do nothing, live your life, stop fighting and then, when the time is right, the three of us shall draw out Klaus together and I shall make sure your friends remain unharmed." he told us and I looked from her back to him.

"And then what?" I asked him.

"Then I kill him." he told me and I looked to the floor.

"Just like that?" Elena asked him.

"Just like that. I'm a man of my word, Elena. I make a deal, I keep a deal." Elijah told her and I looked back up to him.

"How are you gonna be able to keep everybody safe?" I asked him.

"I notice you have a friend; Bonnie, is it? She seems to possess the gift of magic. I have friends with similar gifts." he told me.

"You know witches?" Elena asked him.

"Together, we can protect everybody that matters to you. So, do we have a deal?" he asked looking between the two of us.

"I'm in." I told him and he looked to Elena.

"I need you to do one more thing for me." Elena told him.

"We're negotiating now?" he asked her.

"No. We're sweetening the pot for her." I told him.

I watched Stefan go into Elena's room after Elijah had left. I went back into my room and closed to door before looking up at the person standing by the window.

"Thank you." I said.

"Don't mention it. I'm surprised you'd be okay with the deal." Elijah told me.

"I'm not, but it's the only way to save either almost everyone I love." I told him. "But I want another deal on top of the one we made with my sister." I told him crossing my arms over my chest.

"And what could you offer me that would be worth a deal?" he asked me.

"When it comes time to draw out Klaus, you use me and you leave my sister out of it." I told him.

"And your child?" he asked me and I looked at him.

"The child belongs to Klaus as well as myself. I'm guessing you knew that already." I told him.

"I did." he told me.

"I want my child to live a full life with two parents, not just a mother who helped kill her father. Just wait until after the baby is born then you use me to draw him out." I told him. "Do we have a deal?"

"Deal."
