The boys were sitting in chairs outside of the dressing room while I helped Rebekah with her new clothes.
"There has to be more to this dress." Rebekah told me.
"There's not." I said leaving the fitting room and sitting with Nik. She came out shortly after wearing a short, black dress.
"So women in the 21st century dress like prostitutes, then. You know, I got dirty looks for wearing trousers." Rebekah told us.
"You wore trousers so women today could wear nothing." Nik said smirking and holding me close.
"Not nothing just enough to leave a little to the imagination." I said smiling at him.
"And what is this music? It sounds like a cable car accident." Rebekah told us.
"It's dance music." Stefan told her.
"People dance to this?" Rebekah asked, shocked.
"Hmm." Stefan smiled at her sarcastically.
"Are we done?" Nik asked his baby sister.
"And why are you so grumpy?" Rebekah asked him.
"I needed one thing from you for my witch to find out why my hybrids are dying, one thing. Your necklace. And you lost it." Nik told her.
"I didn't lose it. It's just been missing for 90 years." Rebekah said fixing the dress the best she could before turning to Stefan. "So what do you think?"
"I like it." Stefan told her, but the look on her face showed she wasn't happy. "What? I said I like it."
"I can always tell when you're lying, Stefan." Rebekah told him going back into the fitting room and we looked at Stefan.
"Nice one, good work." Nik told him.
"You're the one that pulled the dagger out of her." Stefan told him.
"I heard that." she called to us.
"All right. I'm going to get some fresh air." Stefan told us leaving, while I got comfortable in Nik's arms.
"How many clothes are we buying here?" I called to her.
"As many as I want." she called back to me.
"After we're done here can we get something to eat?" I asked Nik. "You're son is making me very hungry."
"Of course, love." he said pulling me to him for a simple kiss. When we pulled apart I smiled at him.
"Yes, I wanted to ask you two about that. How is she pregnant with your son?" Rebekah asked us.
"Well when a man and a woman love each other they sleep together and maybe, just maybe, a baby gets created." I told her smirking.
"Don't treat me like a child, what I mean is he's a vampire you're human. He can't have children who aren't vampires." she said.
"He's a hybrid and always has been. Just because his wolf side was locked away doesn't mean that it wasn't there. Perhaps that's what allowed him to have children." I said.
"Either way, you're going to be an aunt." Nik told her. She came out in another dress and gave us both a look.
"I still don't understand how this happened between the two of you." she told us.
"Neither do we but we've learned to except it." I told her getting a glass of water.
"Go and pick out what you want to take with you so we can leave." Nik told her and she rolled her eyes before going back into the fitting rooms.
After Rebekah picked out her clothes they took my to get something to eat before we went back to Gloria's bar. Gloria was performing her spell when Stefan walked in.
"You left us." Rebekah pouted at him.
"Yeah, sorry. Retail therapy was making my head explode." Stefan told her.
"Tell me about it." Nik said and I smiled.
"What's she doing?" Stefan asked us looking at Gloria.
"She's failing." Nik shouted.
"It's hard to find something when you don't have anything to go on." Gloria told him.
"So use me. I only wore it for a thousand years." Rebekah said jumping off the bar.
"See? Now this one offers a solution." Gloria said. Rebekah walked to her and sat on the table that was holding a map. "All right, give me your hand, sweetheart." Rebekah gave her her hand.
"She's, uh, she's looking for the necklace, huh?" Stefan asked.
"Yep. She'll be able to see exactly where it is and who has it." I told him.
"I can sense something." Gloria told us and I glanced at Stefan, worried about my family. Gloria began casting a spell. Gloria dropped Rebekah's hand and looked at us. "I found it."
"So where is it?" Rebekah asked her.
"It doesn't work like that, doll. I get images. There's a girl with her friends..." Gloria told us.
"Yes, a dead girl with dead friends, if I don't get my necklace back." Rebekah told her.
"Well, I'll have to dive back in to get the details." Gloria said.
"So dive." Nik ordered her.
"I need more time. And space. You're harshing my ju-ju." Gloria said.
"We can wait." Nik said.
"I'm sure you can. But that's not what I asked." Gloria told him.
"Hey. Hey, you know, why don't we just come back later. I'm hungry anyway. I'll let you pick who we eat." Stefan offered Nik to get him out of the bar. Nik looked at Rebekah and we all left.
We were in the warehouse with the coffins. Nik and Stefan were sitting on a couch drinking from two girls while Rebekah and I were sitting on a case with her girl laying on the ground.
"My girl's dead. I'm bored." Rebekah told them and Nik looked at Stefan.
"You weren't kidding about being hungry." Nik said, ignoring his sister.
"Yeah. It's been a long day." Stefan said.
"Try being related to her." Nik said nodding his head to Rebekah before laughing.
"You're being mean. And why are you being mean? You used to love me." Rebekah reminded Stefan.
"It's been 90 years, Rebekah. Give him a minute." Nik told her.
"Why are you taking his side?" Rebekah asked him.
"Because, my dear sister, I feel pity for any man who doesn't give you what you want." Nik told her.
"Will you stop making me out to be a brat? I am not a brat!" Rebekah said and I rolled my eyes.
"You sound like a brat." I told her.
"A thousand years of life experience says otherwise, Rebekah." Nik told her.
"Well, you're no picnic, either. I mean, I've only spent one summer with you and I feel like I want to blow my head off." Stefan said to Nik and Rebekah laughed.
"Fantastic." she said, smiling as he got off the couch.
"I need to go." Stefan told us.
"Where's he going?" Rebekah asked as he left.
"To write a name on a wall. It's a long story." Nik told her before finishing the girl off.
"A name on a wall?" Rebekah asked looking at me.
"It's his way of remembering." I told her and she looked the way he went. "You really do love him, don't you?" I asked her, looking at her eyes.
"Of course I do." she said looking back at me.
"How has it been since you saw him last in your opinion?" I asked her.
"90 years. Are you stupid?" she asked me and I rolled my eyes.
"I mean in your mind. From the moment Nik put the dagger in you to when you woke up. How long has it been for you?" I asked her again.
"A few minutes. I saw him in the 20's just a few minutes ago." she told me and I held her hand. She looked at our hands then back at me in shock. I smiled at her for a moment before looking at Nik.
"What is it love?" he asked with a smile as he wiped blood from around his mouth.
"I'm tired. We should get back to the hotel so I can get some sleep." I told him, jumping off the case I was on.
"You should be more careful love. Wouldn't want you two getting hurt." he told me.
"Since when has a woman gotten hurt jumping off a large box?" I asked him.
"When she was pregnant? About ready to give birth?" he asked me and I sighed.
"Fine." I said to him, smiling. "You win. Now take me to the hotel." I said poking his chest. HE smiled at me before kissing me and taking my hand so we could leave.
"As you wish, my queen." I laughed at him and we left the warehouse.
I woke to someone braking something in the room. I sat up as quickly as I could, being pregnant and all, to see Nik angrily pacing the room.
"Nik?" I said groggily, "What's wrong?"
"Gloria's gone." he said angrily. "What? Where could she have gone?" I asked him.
"I don't know. Let's go we're leaving." he said after realizing something. He grabbed my hand and we walked out to the car and drove to the warehouse.
"Gloria's gone. She's cleared out. We need to find a new witch immediately." Nik told Rebekah and Stefan.
"What's going on?" I asked them. Stefan was looking from us to her, worriedly.
"Something's wrong. He was asking about Michael. He's not with us, Nik. I can sense it." Rebekah told Nik.
"She's wrong. Klaus..." Stefan said turning to us. Nik rushed to him and broke his neck knocking him out.
"Did you know about this?" Nik asked turning to me.
"About what? About Stefan not being on your side?" I asked him.
"Yes." he told me simply.
"Think about the way you took us from our home. If you'd had asked me I'd have come to you willingly, you know that. In a way you have to know that Stefan wasn't with you." I told him.
"Are you with me?" he asked me and I smiled at him.
"I'm always with you, my love. You're family and have been for nearly nine months." I reminded him grabbing his hand and putting it on my stomach, where our son was growing. he seemed to relax slightly before we started packing everything up.
We drove a long way, but all of us were riding in the back. We stopped a while later but waited until Stefan finally woke up.
"Just give me a chance to explain myself, ok?" Stefan asked him.
"No need. I'm not mad, I'm just curious. Rebekah seems to think you're holding onto something. A piece of your old life. The thing is, she's got flawless instincts, borderline supernatural. So I thought I would check it out. See for myself what it is you've been hiding." Nik told him walking to the door of the truck to show our newest destination. "Welcome back to Mystic Falls, Stefan."
