A/N: Here's the first one shot! Not much SiriusxElizabeth interaction, but I wanted to start it off slowly. They are only eleven, things don't need to get too mature just yet. Next one will be the sorting. This is also on Archive of Our Own and Wattpad. Wattpad has character art for my OCs. The cover art was made by Byethomas on Wattpad.

1st September 1971

Elizabeth Pierce dreamed of this day. The day she'd finally get to attend Hogwarts, School Of Witchcraft and Wizardry. She had heard the stories her mother and father told her. And the stories that her now second year sister, Anastasia, and third year brothers, Alex and Andy told her. She wanted to make her own memories with friends there.

But she was worried. Worried about not making it into Slytherin house. Her twin brothers Alex and Andy made it into Slytherin and so did Anastasia. Elizabeth's father, Ben, and mother, Christine, had been in Slytherin too.

Elizabeth didn't want to disappoint her parents or siblings. She couldn't do that. She would make her parents proud. She'd make them proud and they'd love her for it. Especially her father. He'd love her for it.

The Pierce family arrived at King's Cross that morning. All of the children would be going to Hogwarts, except for ten year old Charlotte.

They ran through and got to Platform Nine and Three Quarters. Then it would be time for Christine, Blake, and Charlotte to go.

Charlotte grabbed Elizabeth into a tight hug. Elizabeth smiled.

"I'm going to miss you, Lizzy." Charlotte said in her soft voice.

Elizabeth hugged her back. "I'll miss you too, but I'll write to you. I promise. We'll all write. And you'll be joining us next year."

Charlotte let Elizabeth go and went to Anastasia for a hug, then Alex and Andy.

Charlotte has always been closer to Elizabeth. Charlotte even looked the most like Elizabeth. For Elizabeth, it was sort of like looking in a slightly younger and shorter mirror. But that was alright. The siblings were like their own family.

Ben and Christine hugged their sons, Anastasia, and left Elizabeth for last. It was strange for pure blood families like the Pierces to show such emotion. But it was just a hug and not crying. They'd never cry in public. Merlin forbid they shed even one tear.

Christine hugged Elizabeth. "Be good darling. Remember to write to us and of course we'll write to you. Be safe and don't get into too much trouble!"

Elizabeth looked up at her mother. "I promise Mum."

Then it was Ben's turn. Ben didn't hug her as long and the hug from him wasn't as comforting as the one she received from her mum.

"Make us proud Elizabeth. Don't disappoint us." Ben said in his cold voice.

"Of course, Father. I'll make you and Mother proud." Elizabeth said, determined to do just that.

Ben and Christine left the children after that. Which meant it was time to board the train.

Elizabeth looked around at the busy station. There were parents who bid tearful goodbyes to their children. She almost wished her parents were like that with her and her siblings. But that wasn't their way. Not the proper way.

Elizabeth looked and saw her best friend ever since early childhood, Sirius Black, and his parents along with his younger brother, Regulus. She knew Orion and Walburga as her Uncle and Aunt. Christine Pierce had always been friends with Walburga, as Ben is with Orion. But there were times that Orion and Walburga scared her. She certainly didn't want to make either one of them angry.

Even though it wasn't exactly proper, Elizabeth waved at Sirius. He saw her and smiled happily, returning the wave. She could tell he wasn't very happy over there with his parents. Orion and Walburga were likely giving him a similar talk of "Make us proud and get into Slytherin or else."

Orion, Walburga, and Regulus leave. They didn't even hug Sirius and it looked as though they didn't seem to care too much. Elizabeth felt a slight ache in her chest at that sight.

But after they left, Sirius started walking to where Elizabeth is. And Elizabeth couldn't help but smile.

"Hey Beth." Sirius said.

"Hi Siri." Elizabeth said.

"Come on, let's go board the train before we're late." Andy said, likely going into somewhat of an over protective brother mode, as he usually did when it came to Sirius.

Everyone followed Andy into the train.

Once inside, Anastasia said, "I'm going to go find Cissa." And left.

Of course Anastasia was going to find Narcissa Black. Elizabeth didn't like Narcissa too well, or her older sister, Bellatrix. She preferred Andromeda. But lucky for Elizabeth, the Pierces and that part of the Black family didn't interact much. Elizabeth still wondered why her twelve year old sister was hanging out with sixteen year old Narcissa.

"Want to find a compartment and sit with me?" Sirius asked Elizabeth.

Elizabeth nodded. "Sure."

Sirius smiled. "Alright, come on then."

The two left before Andy or Alex could protest and go into full on big brother protectiveness mode.

After a bit of searching, they found an empty compartment. They sat next to each other. Until Sirius yawned and laid his head on Elizabeth's left shoulder. Elizabeth felt her heart ache, but in a good way at the sight of Sirius doing that. She felt her face warm and hoped Sirius wouldn't notice.

Sirius then laid his head down on Elizabeth's lap. Her hand instinctively started going through his soft dark black hair, his hair was a bit on the long side and she secretly hoped he'd keep growing it out. She thought the longer hair added to his charm.

Sirius appeared to be happy. His eyes closed. Elizabeth wondered if he'd fall asleep like this. She wouldn't mind though.

They could have quiet moments and it wouldn't be awkward or strange. It was just something they did. It's like they have a strong and special bond.

All was well.

Until their compartment opened and Sirius was startled out of his calm state.

A boy with messy black hair and glasses peaked his head in. "Mind if I join you lot?"

Sirius quickly got up. "S-sure! Come in, we don't mind."

Elizabeth almost wanted to tell the boy to leave. But he already ruined the moment.

The boy happily nodded and came in, shutting the door behind him. He sat across from them.

"I'm James Potter." The boy introduced himself.

Before Elizabeth or Sirius could answer, their compartment door was opened again.

'Bloody hell! Is this compartment popular or something?' Elizabeth thought.

A girl with flaming red hair stepped in. She wasn't alone though. She had a boy with mid length black hair that looked awfully greasy.

"Mind if we join you? We're first years as well." The girl said.

Elizabeth smiled. Finally she could make a friend that was a girl and wasn't a relative. "Sure, come in!"

The girl and the greasy boy came in. Of course he had to follow along.

James sat next to Sirius and Elizabeth now, making room for the newcomers. The boy and girl sat next to each other across from the trio.

"You'd better be in Slytherin." The greasy boy said to the girl.

"My whole family's been in Slytherin." Sirius muttered.

"Mine as well." Elizabeth muttered.

"Blimley! And I thought you two seemed alright." James said.

"Maybe Liz and I will break tradition. Where are you heading if you have the choice?" Sirius asked James.

James laughed. "Gryffindor, where dwell the brave at heart! Like my dad."

The greasy boy snorted. Everyone turned their attention to him, but only James said something. "Got a problem with that?"

"No," Greasy boy said, "Not if you'd rather be brawny than brainy-"

"And where are you going to go seeing as you're neither?" Sirius asked and James laughed. Even Elizabeth couldn't help but laugh at that.

"Come on, Severus. Let's go find another compartment." The redhead said to the greasy boy who was apparently named Severus.

"See ya Snivellus!" Sirius said as Severus and the redhead girl left.

Elizabeth sighed. She had hoped perhaps she and the girl could have potentially been friends. Sirius would always be her best friend, but Liz wanted to have female friends too.

Soon two more came to the compartment. A skinny brown haired boy and slightly bigger mousey blonde boy.

"Mind if we join?" The skinny boy asked.

"Not at all. Come on." Sirius said.

Perhaps Elizabeth should go and try to find a different compartment. They were starting to run out of room.

"Popular compartment eh?" The mousey blonde said.

"Indeed. Four boys and a girl. A very lovely girl, might I add." Sirius smirked.

Elizabeth could feel her face warm again. 'Why is he making me react like this?' She wondered.

"I'm Peter Pettigrew." The mousey blonde said.

"I'm Remus Lupin." The skinny brown haired boy said.

"I'm James Potter." James said, since Remus and Peter weren't there when he first introduced himself.

"I'm Sirius Black." Sirius said.

"And I'm Elizabeth Pierce." Elizabeth said.

"Oh we have a posh boy and a posh girl here!" James said, after hearing the slight hint of poshness in their accents.

Sirius and Elizabeth really couldn't help that. They were born into aristocratic families. They apparently sounded and looked the part too. They were the fanciest of the five in that compartment.

Elizabeth in her long sleeved light pink shirt and mid length black skirt with nice black flat shoes. And Sirius in decent dress robes, of course it wasn't his choice to wear them. He hated wearing them and only wore them when his parents deemed it necessary.

The compartment door opened again. It was the redhead girl again.

"Hey blondie, you look like you're nice. Want to join me?" The redhead girl asked.

Elizabeth thought for a moment. She wanted to make more friends. She wanted female friends. Sirius would be alright, the three boys in the compartment seemed nice.

"Sure red. See you when we get to Hogwarts, Siri." Elizabeth left with the girl.

"So what's your name? If you don't tell me, I'm just gonna keep calling you red." Elizabeth said.

"Lily. What about you blondie?" The redhead girl who was named Lily asked as they were walking.

"I'm Elizabeth." Elizabeth replied.

Lily opened her compartment door, allowing Elizabeth to step in first. The greasy boy, Severus, was sitting there too.

"Oh not you! You were with those stupid boys in that first compartment we went to." Severus said bitterly.

"Sev! Be nice to Elizabeth." Lily said.

Elizabeth gave Lily an appreciative smile and sat across from her and Severus.

"If she's staying, I'm leaving." Severus said, starting to get angry.

"I can leave if it's that much of an issue." Elizabeth said calmly.

"No! Elizabeth, I'd like for you to stay. Severus, if you're that set on leaving, then fine." Lily sighed.

Severus got up and left, slamming the door shut loudly.

"I'm sorry about him." Lily softly apologized.

"It's not your fault. I don't mind." Elizabeth said. Honestly, she had dealt with a lot worse than that.

"Those boys in that compartment, are they your friends?" Lily asked.

"One of them is. The boy in the fancy dress robes is my best friend." Elizabeth said.

"Oh, posh boy is your friend. He called Sev a name." Lily said.

"He called him Snivellus. And his name is Sirius." Elizabeth said.

"Sorry. Well Sirius and that other boy weren't very nice to Severus." Lily said.

The compartment door opened. A girl with dirty blonde hair poked her head in. "Mind if I join ya?"

"Come in." Elizabeth said.

The girl sat down next to Lily. "I'm Marlene McKinnon."

"Lily Evans." Lily replied.

"Elizabeth Pierce." Elizabeth replied.

The door opened again. A girl with dark brown hair came in. "Mind if I join? The compartments are filling up quickly."

The girls happily welcomed her in.

"I'm Mary MacDonald." She said with a smile.

And the girls introduced themselves to Mary.

Mary sat next to Elizabeth. And then of course that damn door opened again!

A girl with short curly black hair came in. "The compartments are filling up fast. Can I sit with you girls?"

The girls of course let her stay. She sat next to Elizabeth as well.

"I'm Phoebe Collins. Who are you all?" Phoebe asked.

Once again the girls introduced themselves.

"So what house are you lot hoping for?" Marlene asked.

"I'm not really picky, but I'm hoping Ravenclaw, just like my Mother." Phoebe said.

"I'm not sure. I'm a muggle born." Lily said.

'Well that explains why her name sounded unfamiliar. I can already hear Father's complaints about me, his own daughter, associating with a mudblood.' Elizabeth thought to herself.

"You'd be great in any house, Lily. I'll probably be in Gryffindor." Mary said.

"Likely Gryffindor for me too." Marlene said.

"What about you, posh girl? Where are you hoping to go?" Phoebe asked Elizabeth.

"Do not call me that!" Elizabeth exclaimed.

"Where are you hoping to go?" Phoebe asked again.

"Slytherin. My family has been in Slytherin and I don't plan on being any different." Elizabeth said, almost proudly.

"So you want in the house that mostly has stuck up pure bloods who think they're better than everyone else? Most people that are in that house end up evil and end up being jerks." Phoebe said.

"Not all Slytherins are evil. My parents were in Slytherin and they're not evil. My brothers and sister are in Slytherin and they're also not evil! Shut your bloody mouth, you have no idea what you're talking about!" Elizabeth exclaimed.

Phoebe raised her hand to slap Elizabeth but Lily jumped and stopped her. "STOP! Don't hit her. Come on guys, we can get along and not fight. Who cares about the houses. They don't define who you are!"

"Posh girl probably can't fucking fight anyway." Phoebe muttered.

"Keep pushing and you'll find out!" Elizabeth fired back.

Phoebe started laughing. "You know what, you got guts. I like that."

Elizabeth laughed and smirked. "Perhaps we can all get along after all!"

"We better put our robes on. We'll be there soon." Mary said.

And so they slipped their robes on.

"When I was trying to find a compartment, I saw the hottest boy. He had black hair and piercing green eyes. He looked a bit older though. My god, he was bloody hot!" Phoebe exclaimed excitedly.

"Oooh sounds lovely." Marlene said.

"What did he look like exactly?" Elizabeth asked.

Phoebe had a dreamy look in her eyes. "Short dark black hair, green eyes that could pierce my soul if I looked long enough. He looked really pale, almost like he's trying to avoid sunlight. He had on a long sleeve black shirt and decent black pants."

Elizabeth giggled. "It's possible that it was my brother, Andy."

"Why wasn't I informed about your brother being that damn hot?" Phoebe dramatically asked.

"Because who says that they're brother is hot? That's a bit weird." Marlene joined in, laughing.

Phoebe playfully flipped Marlene off.

Elizabeth glanced out at the window. "We're here!"

The girls gathered their things and left the compartment. They walked together. It was quite packed, so it was nice sticking with a group.

Elizabeth saw Sirius and the three other boys from earlier. He looked happy. 'Good. He deserves to be happy and to find friends who make him happy.' Elizabeth thought.

Elizabeth knew that despite the slight disagreement that first took place in that compartment, those girls were her friends and she was their friend. She knew she'd be alright, she had her brothers and older sister, Sirius and new friends.

Now it was time to go to Hogwarts. To be sorted into a house, hopefully the right house.
