A few days after Carol Lockwood's death I was sitting in the gym of the high school listening to Liz talk about our former mayor. I couldn't help but be so annoyed at this being required for the entire town. The day after the charity event April had called me hyperventilating saying something about Nik, murder, and Rebekah. I immediately went to her in the Lockwood cellar and smiled at the sight of my best friend and soon to be sister.

"Carol Lockwood always said that togetherness in times of tragedy leads to healing, that one community is stronger than a thousand of its members. But how does a community stay strong after losing its leader? And Carol was so much more than a leader; she was an open-minded friend and a concerned mother, taken from us too soon by a terrible accident." Liz said. I smirked and looked at Tyler and Caroline as he stood and left the gym. "Please join me in observing a minute silence in her memory." Everyone around me put their heads down and I shook my head at this before standing up and leaving the gym passing the very much alive and angry Rebekah as she made her presence known to Elena. In the hallway I met up with April and offered her a gentle smile.

"How are you doing?" I asked her.

"I'm fine. Once we start listening to the truth from everyone." She told me and I nodded.

"You're right. There are way too many secrets in this town and it's time you learned them all." I told her before Elena made her way to us.

"April, Nicole, what's wrong?" she asked us.

"Nothing. We're fine." April told her.

"But you're crying?" Elena said pointing out the obvious.

"It's just the whole mayor thing, you know. It's bringing stuff up about my dad." She told Elena and the vampire nodded understanding. "And I know you're a vampire." Elena looked at the girl shocked before turning to me and seeing my smile.

"What? Why did you tell her?" Elena asked me.

"She deserves the truth." I said, but I wasn't talking about April. Rebekah appeared behind Elena and snapped her neck.

"Was that necessary?" April asked her freaked out.

"No, but it was fun." Rebekah told her smiling.

"Oh, how I've missed you Bekah." I said smiling at the blonde. "Come on, let's get ready for the rest of the Scooby gang." Rebekah dragged Elena to the library and there we waited for her to wake up and for the assembly to be finished.

Later I was leaning on a bookshelf staring at Elena until she woke up, looked around and got up, and I signaled April to come over.

"The assembly is over." April told her.

"What the hell is going on?" Elena asked us.

"The school will be empty soon... How many times did you compel me?" April finally asked her. "Don't... don't lie. Rebekah and Nicole say you lie."

"Rebekah isn't who you think she is, April, and Nicole's been brainwashed by Rebekah's brother." Elena said giving me a look.

"You mean Rebekah's not a thousand-year-old Original vampire and Nicole isn't engaged to her older brother who's a Hybrid mix between a vampire and a werewolf?" April asked her.

"Listen, we can figure this out, but we have to get out of here." Elena said grabbing April and pulling her with her until they turned a corner and found Bekah.

"Sorry, not allowed." Bekah told her and I walked up behind them. "Why don't you take a seat? The rest of the class will be here shortly." She compelled.

A short time later Bekah walked in with Stefan like she had with Caroline just moments before.

"Stefan..." Elena said standing up.

"Did I say you could move?" Bekah asked her and Elena sat back down. "Class is in session." Bekah said forcing Stefan to sit between the two younger vampires. "You've all been compelled; you know the rules. Answer my questions honestly, no disobedience, no one leaves. April, my sweet, take notes. This is how you get answers in this town. Let's start with a little quiz. In the year 1114, my brother learnt, thanks to yours truly, about a brotherhood of vampire hunters with tattoos that grew with each kill. These tattoos revealed what, Elena?"

"A map." Elena said.

"Which led to... Caroline?" Bekah asked.

"A cure for vampirism." Caroline answered.

"Perfect, so we're all caught up. Stefan Salvatore, the last time we saw each other, you had a vampire hunter, but in order to decode the map, you needed the location of the hunter's sword, which you got out of me using some very dirty tricks. Assuming you found the sword, you also found the cure, and yet, you're all still vampires, which means something went wrong." Bekah said before looking at April. "What are you doing?"

"Oh, you asked me to take notes." April said and I smiled in humor.

"I wasn't being literal, darling. But now that you mention it... a flow chart would be nice, which means index cards and push-pins. Go, fetch." Bekah ordered and April left the room.

"You're wasting your time. We don't know anything." Stefan told her.

"So, you just gave up? I thought you would do anything to save Elena? Even if it meant taking the cure yourself, so you could grow old and die with her?" Bekah asked her. Elena looked at Stefan with a shocked look on her face. "Why do you look so surprised?" she asked her but no one answered. "I'm missing something. What is it?"

"They broke up, okay?" Caroline asked annoyed that Bekah kept asked. I smiled and started laughing. "Now let us go."

"Broke up? Wait, I'm confused. I thought Elena was your epic love, Stefan?" Bekah asked sitting in a chair between Stefan and Elena. "I asked you what happened. You have to tell me."

"She slept with Damon." Stefan revealed and Elena looked at him surprised then looked at Caroline.

"The things we miss, sister." Bekah said to me.

"Yes. We've missed a everything." I said.

"So, vampire Elena is a trollop who likes bad boys, which explains why Stefan reeks of alcohol. But what it doesn't explain is why sweet, loving, innocent Elena could be so heartless towards Stefan." Bekah said and Elena looked to Stefan. "How could she hurt you like that? Answer, please."

"She didn't know it at the time, but she was sired to Damon." Stefan revealed.

"A sire bond. That's fascinating. And what do you think about that, Elena?" Bekah asked her.

"I think you're sad and bored and in desperate need of a hobby." Elena told her and Bekah leaned closer to her to compel her.

"You're hiding something. Fess up." Bekah told her.

"I didn't sleep with Damon because of the sire bond. I slept with Damon because I'm in love with him." She revealed before she and Stefan looked at each other. He was visibly hurt but what she said and she looked shocked she said it at all.

"What does any of this have to do with the stupid cure?" Caroline asked.

"It doesn't but it is fun to see these two in pain." I said smiling at her.

"You're both right. We got off the point. Stefan, how do I find the cure? Unless, you'd rather talk about Damon and Elena all day." Bekah told Stefan.

"There's a professor. He knows where the cure is." Stefan told us.

"Thank you. And, uh, where do I find this professor?" Bekah asked them.

"The college not far from here." I told her. "Professor Shane teaches occult."

"Thank you, dear sister. Shall I call our brother to collect him?" she asked me.

"Yes, then we should make another call." I said smirking at her. She smirked at the idea before getting ahold a Kol and using Caroline's phone and calling the only person not at the party that could make this fun.

"I heard, and you're keeping all that rage bottled up inside. Caroline's worried sick about you." Bekah told him. "Hello, Tyler. I heard my brother made a real mess of your life. Believe me, I can relate. You have my condolences. In fact, why don't you come down to the high school so you can accept them in person?" she asked him. "Because I have your girlfriend. Maybe you have a better shot saving her than you did your mother. Bye now." She hung up the phone and we all waited until Kol poked his head into the library.

"Sisters... Look at this. The two of you are even worse than Klaus." Kol told us.

"I'll take that as a complement." I told him with a smile.

"Kol, finally. Did you bring what I asked for?" Bekah asked him. Kol turned and pulled Shane into the libaray.

"You must be Shane." Bekah said. "Stay where you are, don't move." She ordered them and we the four of us left the library for a private place for compelling him or torturing him if needed.

"Kol and Rebekah Mikaelson... two members of the Original vampire family. This is such a trip." Shane said. "Nicole Gilbert, engaged to Klaus Mikaelson, mother of his son Nikolas. Where's your son?" he asked me.

"None of your concern." I told him.

"Where's the cure?" Bekah asked compelling him.

"Compulsion won't work. It's a little trick I picked up in Tibet." He told her.

"Right. Well, we'll just have to do this the old-fashioned way." Bekah said making Kol smile at her words. "Beat him until he tells you where to find it."

"Have fun." I told Kol as Rebekah and I walked out of the room and back to the library, leaving Kol and Shane alone.

"Still glued to your seats? Ahh, it's thick with tension in here. Let's spice things up a bit. Elena, truth or dare?" Bakah asked as we made our way back to them.

"We're done playing your stupid games, Rebekah." Stefan said still trying to help Elena.

"Truth or dare, Elena. You're compelled answer." Bekah reminded her.

"Dare." Elena said angrily.

"I dare you to tell Stefan the truth about Damon." Bekah told her.

"Seriously?" Caroline asked annoyed.

"Being with Damon makes me happy." Elena told us.

"Makes you happy?" Bekah asked her.

"Clowns make you happy, Elena. Dig a little deeper." I told her.

"When I'm with him... it feels unpredictable, like... like I'm free." Elena told us.

"And how do you feel when you're with Stefan?" Bekah asked her.

"Stop." Caroline told us.

"Shut up Caroline." I ordered her. "She has to answer the question. She's compelled."

"Lately, I feel like I'm a project, like I'm a problem that needs to be fixed. I think I make him sad, and I can't be with someone like that, because when he looks at me, all he sees is a broken toy." Elena said making Bekah smile and Stefan looking hurt.

"Do you still love Stefan?" Bekah asked her.

"Yes." Elena answered.

"Are you still in love with Stefan?" Bekah asked her.

"No." Elena said looking like she wanted to cry as Bekah turned to Stefan.

"Did that hurt? Having someone you love drive a dagger through your heart?" she asked him.

"Go to hell." Stefan told her angrily.

"Did! That. Hurt?" she asked him bending down to his level.

"Yes." He finally answered her.

"Welcome to the last 900 years of my life." She told him. Stefan looked at Bekah as Tyler suddenly ran through the door. "Ah, good, you're here. It was just getting depressing."

"What the hell is going on?" Tyler asked looking at all of us confused.

"Listen to the rules carefully. Stay in the building, no vamp-running in the hallways." Bekah told the other three vampires.

"Vamp-running from what?" Caroline asked her. Bekah turned and looked Tyler in the eyes.

"Turn." She compelled

"What?" Elena asked her.

"He can't, he'll lose control!" Caroline reminded her.

"That's the whole point. I've exhausted all your knowledge. Now I have the professor to help me find the cure, you're just competition. Whoever finds it first, gets to decide what to do with it. Use it, share it, destroy it, save it. I want that to be me." Bekah told them.

"What about Nicole? Isn't she your competition?" Elena asked trying to turn Bekah and I against each other.

"I'm human. The cure does nothing for me." I reminded her.

"But if I turn, I'll kill them." Tyler reminded us.

"Yes, you will. Isn't that the point of werewolves and Hyrbrids?" I asked him.

"Turn." Bekah demanded again before the two of us left for Kol and Shane again. We walked in as Kol shoved Shane under the water trying to get him to tell us where the cure was.

"You're human. Why do you want it anyway?" Bekah asked him when Kol pulled him out from under the water again.

"That's the beauty of this. You can have it. I just want Silas." Shane told us. Kol held Shane up by his shirt.

"No. What do you know about Silas?" Kol asked him and I looked at Kol confused.

"He's the world's first immortal being, who just happens to be imprisoned with the cure... and I want to free him." Shane told him.

"No!" Kol shouted before shoving him under the water again.

"Stop!" Bekah shouted at him.

"Kol! Stop we need him!" I shouted at him and Kol finally brought Shane back up for air. Kol let go of Shane before moving away from him.

"He's of no use dead." Bekah pointed out to her brother.

"Did you not just hear what he said? Silas will kill us all, sister." Kol told us.

"Silas does not exist. He is a—a fairytale made up to scare children into eating their vegetables." Bekah told him.

"Who's Silas?" I asked them.

"Silas is the very first immortal and very real. I know where he's buried, and soon I will have the spell that wakes him." Shane told us.

"Wait a second, you're lying. You can't get to him." Kol told him.

"Without his tombstone? Dozens to die in a blood sacrifice? Believe me, I know. I've done it. Those massacres are a pain to engineer." Shane told us.

"You're the one who got the council blown up." Bekah said.

"And you helped Hayley find her birth family." I said.

"The council was a noble sacrifice... and temporary, because once I raise Silas, Silas will raise the dead. He will bring back every last soul who died on his behalf." Shane told us.

"No!" Kol picked up a stick and used his vamp speed so we couldn't stop him impale Shane with it. We watched as Shane slowly died on the floor and I sighed.

"Really Kol?" I asked him.

"You should be thanking me." Kol told us.

"You killed my only chance at finding the cure." Bekah told him.

"Silas on the loose would be hell on Earth. Frankly, sisters, I don't think you could handle it." Kol told us showing the white oak stake he took from Bekah.

"How did you get that?" Bekah asked nervously.

"Way too easily." Kol said before walking out of the closet, leaving us to angrily follow him. Bekah and I made our way through the school to find Elena and Stefan in the science lab a pool of blood behind them.

"Why are my least favorite people always the most durable." Bekah asked them.

"I've been asking the same thing for quite a while now." I told him.

"Leave her out of this. This is between me and you." Stefan told her.

"After all she's done to you, you're still protecting her?" I asked him.

"Must I rip your bleeding heart from your chest and show you the scar tissue that is Elena Gilbert?" Bekah asked him before turning to Elena. "There's a solution to all your problems, you know. I could compel him. Erase every memory he has of you... every day you spent together, every kiss, every lie, every ounce of pain... I could take away every bit of love he has for you. Give you both a clean slate. Just say the word, and I'll make you and all that misery you caused him disappear." She offered as she moved around Stefan to stand between the former couple.

"Do it." Stefan told her and I smiled at Elena's shocked face.

"Excuse me?" Bekah asked turning to him.

"Erase it all, every memory." Stefan told her.

"Stefan? No!" Elena told him.

"This isn't about you, Elena. It never was." I told her.

"I said 'do it'." Stefan told Bekah.

"No." Bekah laughed. "That would be far too easy. I refuse to make you forget her the way Klaus made you forget me." She said before turning to Elena. "But at least you know how he really feels." She smiled at her before returning to Stefan. "Consider your eternity of pain my revenge, Stefan. I've used you for all you're worth, so now, you're free to go." Bekah and I linked arms and left.
