Sennenshipping (All the Millennium Items) (really?!)

. . .

There was a certain...presence to the golden items. Something that unnerved anyone that might look at them.

There was a reason that the pharaoh's descendents had chosen to separate them: two to the Watchers, who would listen and wait for the pharaoh's return. Two to the Tombkeeper's, to protect and defend the catacombs and the pharaoh's secrets from prying eyes. One, the broken Puzzle, locked safely away in the deepest part of the tombs. The others, passed down, given away, occasionally lost, always returned to the stone eventually. But always separated. Never all together at once.

It was only partially due to the legend that collecting all of them would open the door to the other world. Only partially because of the truth that collecting all of them together might give the god of darkness a chance to break through again.

It was mostly due to the fact that when many were together at once, they almost seemed alive.

It was in the way that the light would play across their unnatural golden features. The way the pupils in the Eye of Horus that marked them almost seemed to move and follow those walking past. The way that shadows seemed to twitch in corners, and lights seemed to flicker, and the sound of footsteps would echo in corridors when none were there. The way that whispersseemed to dance on the very edge of one's mind if they dared enter the item's chamber.

Even skeptics, who deemed the Items nothing more than tools, would come away from facing them with a pit in their stomach and the feeling of eyes on their backs.

Yes, had been the decision. They must be kept as separate as possible.

Because when the items came together...when they were strengthened by the aura of their fellows...

That was when their spirits began to remember.

. . .

A/N: Well, I thought I did a pretty good job with that, short as it was, I mean considering what I was working with. Hope that's good enough. Geez, though, like...really? What caused this one to occur? Whatever they were on, I don't want any of it. Next you're back to Seershipping (Ishizu x Priestess Isis).
