It's been about a week since arriving at the Isles, an exhausting first week. First, they had to introduce themselves to the entirety of the Emperor's Coven, Lilith included. This meant, what felt like entire concerts of Soldiers, bowing to Luz and Camila with a fist on their heart and declaring them as, "Princess and Empress" in unison, while also pledging to protect them at all cost. They weren't introduced to the Conformatorium guards, yet, as they were considered a police force rather than part of the Military.

Then they had to set a date for the coronation, for the entire Boiling Isles to be made aware of Luz and Camila as new royalty, which took way longer than it should've, and THEN they had to be introduced to the remaining 8 coven heads. One by One. Little to say, saying Luz has been busy was an understatement.

Finally, after successfully introducing herself and dressing up for several different occasions, she was free for the entire day. And Luz wanted to explore. Not the castle, she's seen enough of it for a while, but the Town below. Bonesborough. Built Directly in the chest of the fallen Titan, it was declared the capital of the Boiling Isles once Belos rose to power.

The thing was, she wasn't allowed outside of the castle, just yet. Her safety and all that, and especially since she didn't know any magic. Being a monarch was starting to lose its pizazz.

So she decided that she had only one option...

"DAD!" Luz screamed as she fell from the ceiling in front of the Emperor.

Not many things surprised the Emperor, but when his daughter fell from the ceiling screaming, it was deserving.

Belos jumped backward in his boots, summoning his staff on instinct, before lowering it after realizing it was merely his daughter.

"Oh Isles, Luz! Why are you up there? How did you get up there?" He asked, looking up and seeing how far away the ceiling was away from the ground. "Are you alright, dear?" He asked.

Luz quickly righted herself, standing up and leaning against a wall, shakingly and crossing her arms.

"Perfect! Don't worry about it! I came to make my first request as Princess!" She said before clearing her throat. "So, basically, Bonesborough-"

"If you're proposing on going into the town below, my answer already no." He said, raising his staff and casting a spell on her leg, healing her ankle, which had been sprained from the fall from the ceiling.

"Thanks... Wait, how did you know it was my ankle?" She asked, taking a few cautionary steps.

"You were limping." He said as he walked past, Luz quickly followed.

"W- wait! Please let me go into town! We've been introducing ourselves to higher-ups and the entire military for an entire week now! I've been wanting to see what's in the town since I saw it outside my window on my balcony! It looks so cool!" She squealed about the town.

"Please, Bonesborough would eat you alive, literally, without the proper protection." He shot back. "You know I tried to outlaw cannibalism, but it was too ingrained into the populace, that it caused more problems than it created. Had to undo that law." He said as he led them to a bookshelf and started to pull at the books on the shelf, seeming to read what they said before putting them back on the shelf.

"That's disturbing... But! Why don't you just come along?" She asked. "Big mighty Emperor of the Isles, surely no one would dare mess with us."

"I can't just enter a town like that, Luz, cause usually, that means I'm either there for a special occasion or I'm going to level the town. They still see mainly see me as a tyrant, with the way I rose to power and govern, can't blame them. However, since you're so persistent on going into town, you have my blessing-"

"YES!" She jumped into the air and was about to run off when he caught her by her hoodie.

"On the condition that someone looks over you. I want you to stay safe." He added before letting her go. "Understand?"

Luz gave her best nod and saluted.

"Sir, yes, Dad!" She said, holding the salute.

"Dismissed." He said pulling the final book. The floor around him surrounded his feet in a spell circle before a flash occurred and he disappeared.

"Cool, I'll have to figure that out, later." She said before turning on her heel and heading out of the hallway.

Lilith was walking the halls, patrolling them, not like many people would ever dare think to infiltrate the Emperor's Coven, but simply walking the halls helped cleared her mind of things. Thinking of simple things at first, and then evolving to more complicated topics. Such as her sister Edalyn and how she was going to cure her curse... Or better yet, how she was going get her to join the Emperor's Coven and get the Emperor to heal her, as promised.

An impossible task, in all honesty.

"Lilith!" Luz shouted at the top of her lungs suddenly appearing from the corner.

Lilith pointed her staff at Luz on instinct, just like her Father.

"Gah! Why is everyone's first reaction is to attack!" She hid behind a pedestal for cover.

"Oh, Princess, It's just you," Lilith sighed as she stood down from her attack position, not wanting to be executed for committing treason. "Forgive me." She said, bowing to her, respectfully.

Luz cringed. "You know, you don't have to call me Princess... Or bow," Luz said, "Feels weird and not right."

Lilith smiled to herself, loving the Princess's humble nature, before standing straight again.

"What do you need?" She asked.

"I need your help, it's a very high-stakes mission, approved by my Father himself!" She inflated.

"Well, what is it?" She was intrigued as to what the Princess could assign to her.

"I need you to..!" Luz paused for dramatic effect. "Take me into town, please."

Lilith hesitated, she must've heard incorrectly. "Just... that?" She asked.

Luz nodded. "The old man doesn't want me to get lost or eaten. I mean, I could take care of myself, but whatever, you know."

Lilith sighed and stroked her chin. "Hm well... I have to meet my protégé in town today anyway, to review spells and such with her..."

"PLEASE, Let me tag along!" Luz said, holding onto the end of Lilith's dress and shrinking to the floor.

Lilith sighed and thought about it. 'Hmm... watching her with the Blight girl doesn't sound like it'd be too hard. What could go wrong?' she looked at the girl at her feet and used her magic to lift her back to her feet.

"Don't grovel at my feet, I fear your father's Judgement, and I shall take you into town with me. Just don't get lost on me."

Luz laughed triumphantly and followed Lilith out of the castle. While they walked, she began thinking. Specifically, about Luz.

'I still can not believe that Belos sired a daughter, amazing, never thought the man could even get it up. In all honestly thought he was a skeleton under that mask...' She thought. Usually, when someone attempted to throw themselves at Belos's feet, they were thrown into the spiked moat outside the castle walls. 'I guess I understand why, now...' She took a glance behind her and saw Luz looking at a painting.

"What's wrong, Princess?" She asked, walking up to Luz and looking at what she was staring at.

"Luz," She corrected, "And Is that my Father?" Luz asked, pointing at the mural of her father. The one where he was holding a ball of light in his hands and the witches below were looking up at him in fear? or was it gratitude? It was hard to pinpoint in all honesty.

"Yes, yes it is." Lilith crossed her arms, her staff floating next to her. "It's depicting how he brought light to the Savage Ages of old, witches mixing magic and how it was only his right to do such a thing, also how he brought order to the Boiling Isles. The Titan's vision of magic, he said. His will." Lilith looked at the mural before beginning to walk again. "Let's go, wouldn't want to keep her waiting, Princess."

"Just call me Luz, please, and who's waiting for us?" She asked as she caught up with Lilith.

"My apprentice, Princess. She is a top student and her main goal in life is to join the Emporer's Coven, It's admirable. Some of the most powerful witches in the Isles join the Emperor's Coven... Well, most of them anyway..." She added, looking off into the distance, probably thinking about someone specific.

Amity Blight was standing in front of the Bonesborough Library, reading a book in silence and patiently waiting for her mentor to arrive, she was sent a message on her scroll that they'd be meeting early today.

"HELLO!" Someone randomly shouted at her.

Amity was surprised off her feet and landed on her back, looking up at the sky, dazed from the sudden surprise.

"Oh my gosh!" Luz said as she leaned over Amity. "I'm so sorry! I just got excited when Lilith pointed you out in the distance, I had to run over and say hi!" Luz blazed through her words, confusing Amity.

Confusion quickly turned into Annoyance.

"Who even are you, screaming into my ear and..," She stood up and started dusting herself off, "And why are you with Miss Clawthorne, anyway? She wouldn't just take random Witches off the streets." She then turned to face Luz.

"Oh, I'm Luz Noceda-Belos!" Luz said, without thinking and completely ignoring the insult, casually revealing her title when she wasn't supposed to yet. She seemed to realize this almost instantly. "Oh wait, I wasn't supposed to say that..." Luz started to smack her forehead.

"B- Belos? What kind of idiotic joke are you playing at? Are you trying to get petrified by the Emperor?" Amity asked, with a raised eyebrow that emphasized her doubts.

"Y- yeah... Just a joke..." Luz said before looking back at Amity.

Now Amity wasn't an idiot, she can tell when someone was being serious with her or not or trying to cover up a lie or something like that.

"Oh Isles, you were being serious weren't you?" She asked, eye wide and shocked.

"W- what? No! Of course not! Not like I'm the Princess of the Boiling Isles or anything like that!" Luz kept attempting to cover up for herself, but the look on the Blights face said it all. Luz let her head hang in disappointment. "Mom's going to kill me..." She whispered to herself.

Amity couldn't help but laugh at this girls fumbling and nervousness to conceal this secret. "Ahaha, oh Isles, this is hilarious." She said softly, "You don't need to worry about it, I'll keep your secret safe, Princess. The name's Amity Blight, by the way."

Luz sighed and picked her head up and smiled before laughing and scratching her neck. "T- Thank you so much, Amity... I need to watch what I say more..." She whispered to herself. Amity rolled her eyes before crossing her arms.

"Doesn't answer my other question though, of what you are doing with Miss Clawthorne."

"Oh, Lilith? I just bugged her to take me into town. I'm from..." She wrapped her arm around Amity and waved her arm in the air. "A land far far away! Known as, Earth!" She said dramatically. "Where the sky is blue and so is the water, and where the trees are green!"

Amity removed Luz's arm from around her neck and dusted off her shoulder. "Don't touch me, and that sounds weird. It doesn't sound real."

"And flying eyeballs and giant worms is?" Luz shot back. "I've seen several things that shouldn't be real."

"Like round ears?" Amity asked, pointing Luz's ears out. Luz went to respond but she saw Lilith finally catch up with the pair of girls.

"Luz, how did you run all the way here?" She seemed out of breath, forgetting she could fly with her staff. "What part of stay close, didn't you understand? If something happens to you, your father-" She paused, looking at Amity. "Ahem, anyways, sorry for the early call. I brought along a new apprentice."

Amity and Luz both looked supremely surprised at that.

"Uh, Nice safe, Lilith, but I kinda already spilled the beans to her, she already knows I'm the Princess..." Luz whispered, assuming that she was covering for her.

She deadpanned. "I... Well..." She said, stroking her chin. "Well, your cover may be blown but the Emperor did instruct me to make you my apprentice, I guess telling you sooner rather than later, works."

"WHAT?!" The two girls shouted at the same time. One in surprise and excitement, the other in shock and confusion.

"Why is the Human Training with us? Can she even do magic, half as good as me?" Amity asked.

Luz was taken aback by her mean words.

"H- Hey, I'm only half-human! I may not know any spells, but I'm learning! J- just sooner than I thought..."

"So, you don't even know how to cast a basic light spell and you want to be training with Lilith and me?" She added. "This is ridiculous!"

"Now Amity, I expect you to curb your outburst. Luz is our guest, and need I to remind you that she is The Princess. So treat her with respect," Lilith then gave her a cold look. "Understand?" She asked, menacingly.

Amity felt a chill go up to her spine with those eyes before she grits her teeth. "Yes ma'am..." She said silently.

Luz felt bad, she felt as if she was intruding on something important to Amity now, that much was obvious and she could tell that Amity wasn't liking her much so far. However, she was determined. This was a new world. That meant no one knew her for her weirdness or needed to tell her to be normal cause nothing was normal around here.

'I will be her friend, even if it kills me!' Luz thought to herself, determined to be friends with this girl, clenching her fist and smiling to herself. "Come on, Luz, nothing will stop you..." She whispered to herself.

"Come on, girls, I know somewhere private." Lilith started to walk past. Luz went to follow but was stopped by Amity, grabbing her arm roughly.

"I hope you understand, this doesn't make us friends. I don't care if you're the Princess of the Isles, you didn't work hard to train under Lilith as I did, your father just told her to train you." She released Luz's arm roughly, "You are my competition and I do not lose. I am better than you, especially compared to a half-a-witch like you." She said to Luz, turning away from her.

"Girls?" Lilith shouted.

"Coming!" Amity called, "Dropped my books!" She gave Luz a final look before turning. "Hm." with that she began walking, following Lilith.

Luz was in a state of slight shock. It'd seem that girls like Amity exist in every dimension, huh?

Her entire school life, people like Amity treated her like second best, no one liked her for simply being herself, but things were different, now! A fresh start where everyone was weird! Hell, she saw someone with twenty eyes on the way here and this mean girl wasn't going to ruin that! Luz clenching her fist tightly and smiled, even more determined than before to befriend Amity.

"This just means I'll have to try harder to be your friend, Amity!" Luz unintentionally said out loud, but deciding to go with it.

"E- excuse me?" Amity asked, turning around to face the crazy human girl who just declared her goal to her.

"Just like the Good Witch Azura once said to Hecate, anyone could be your friend with enough effort, and you will be mine!" Luz said, coming in dangerously close to Amity's face and pointing directly at her, causing her cheeks to flare up bright red.

"W- What are you talking about?!" Her cheeks still burning at the closeness of Luz, she stepped back from her.

"You heard me, Blight!" She said loudly. "You will be my friend and I will learn magic! I'll put you in your place and that's a promise!" She said before walking past Amity and catching up with Lilith.

Amity stood in shock for a minute, still blushing, before turning around and catching up with them.

'If that's how you wanna do it, Princess, then game on...' Amity thought to herself, determined herself not to be overshadowed by a simple human. She didn't notice herself smiling at the idea.
