After meeting Geoffrey, he encouraged Rukia to try and compete in Pokemon Talent Star. Orihime is planning to compete as well. Which means we could have a fierce battle between our two heroes.

"Azumarill, Blizzard!" Orihime said.

"Azu!" Azumarill used the attack as it was shot straight into the air.

"Looking good, Azumarill!" Orihime said.

"Orihime's pretty pumped." Ichigo said as he, Absol, and Chad watched her train pretty hard for the upcoming competition. "By the way, where's Rukia?"

"At registration." Chad said.

"She's seriously going through with the idea of competing?" Ichigo said as he was still a little surprised. "If Orihime and Rukia go against each other, it's sure to be an interesting battle."

"It's fine with me that Rukia wants to compete." Orihime said. "In fact, I think it might actually be fun. I don't like that I might have to beat her to get my second star medal, but I also want to win it at the same time." Orihime might have a real battle in this one. It's going to be a battle between close friends.

No time to question my moves

I stick to the path that I choose

Me and my friends are gonna do it right

You'll never see us runaway from a fight

To be a master is my dream

All I have to do is believe

(I believe)

I'm on a master quest

(Master quest)

I'm on my way to victory

I can be a champion if I just believe

I'm on a master quest

(Master quest)

I want the whole world to see

I'm gonna be the very best

Cause all I have to do is believe in me

(Orihime's voice) To Try and Fall

"There. That should do it." Rukia said as she finished her registration. She's now able to compete here or in any other competition she wants to be in.

"I'm glad to see you took my advice." Rukia turned around and met Geoffrey with Minccino again.

"Hi, Geoffrey." Rukia said. "Are you here to see the competition?"

"Of course." Geoffrey said. "I wouldn't miss something like this. It's a good thing too. Looks like you're actually competing."

"Yeah. I know Orihime's not going to like going against me, but I know she'll do her best." Rukia said. "I can't go easy on her. There's no other choice except to give it my all as well."

"That's good. It will show you respect your opponent, and if she does win, she'll actually earn that medal." Geoffrey said. "I can't wait to see how this all turns out." This is shaping to be a pretty exciting competition.

...

The Competition

"Welcome, one and all, to Pokemon Talent Star!" Baron announced as the show was about to begin. The boys were up in the stands with the girls waiting for when it's their turn to perform. "We're here to see who will be the one to win one of our many star medals, and who has what it takes to make it to the Ultimate Talent Star!" Everyone was excited for things to get started.

"This is it, Rukia." Orihime said as she was ready. She turned to Rukia and saw her wearing a beautiful blue kimono with the back of her hair held up by a clip. "Are you ready?"

"I hope." Rukia said as she was feeling really nervous about all of this. "It's different when you're actually competing instead of watching. I feel like I have this huge knot in my stomach."

"I hear you. I still get like that, but it actually gets easier to handle." Orihime said. "Once you get on that stage and see how great your pokemon are." Rukia appreciated the advice Orihime was giving. It showed she's come a long way since when she started as a beginner.

...

The Stage

"We are now going to begin the first round. Trainers will have the chance to show off their pokemon with their beauty, talent, or any trait that makes them unique or looks great." Baron said. "What are we waiting for? Let's get started!" Everyone was excited as the competition began as various trainers and pokemon performed and they all looked good. "Now, let's welcome a young lady all the way from Unova. Here's Orihime!" Orihime came running out on the stage.

"Go, Orihime!" Ichigo cheered.

"Azumarill, let's do this!" Orihime said as she threw her pokeball.

"Azumarill!"

"They'll get a kick out of this. Azumarill, Bubble Beam!" Orihime said. Azumarill shot out bubbles everywhere with the bubbles surrounding Azumarill.

"What's she doing?" Chad questioned.

"I think we'll find out soon enough." Geoffrey said.

"Now!" Orihime said. Azumarill took its tail and started popping the bubbles. If you listen closely, you could hear that there was a melody.

"Listen to that. Azumarill is playing a melody as it pops the bubbles." Baron said as people seemed rather interested in it. "Seeing an Azumarill play music is certainly interesting. Let's see what the judges think." They all looked towards Orihime's score and they saw it dial all the way to...forty-seven. "47! That's a pretty good score."

"Awesome! It went well!" Ichigo said.

"Absol."

"She did great." Chad said.

"She did, but it's not over quite yet." Geoffrey said.

"That was a great performance. Now, we have our next show-woman. She's from Unova as well, and is making her debut today. Here's Rukia!" Baron announced as she came out.

"Dewgong, let's do this!" Rukia said.

"Dewgong!"

"Dewgong, Ice Shard!" Rukia said. Dewgong formed the attack, but Dewgong was adding more power to it and was growing bigger. "Do it!" Dewgong launched the attack in the air. When it came down, Dewgong shattered it with its horns, Dewgong was glistening like snow and ice.

"Look at that! Dewgong looks beautiful! That's how you show off it's white coat." Baron said. "Judges? What do you think?" Rukia's score was dialing on the screen. It soon landed on...forty-four. "44, not a bad score. We'll now wait and see who will be making it to the second round."

...

The Girls

"Oh boy." Rukia said as she had a seat and placed her hand over her chest. "I don't think my heart will stop beating."

"I thought you were pretty good." Orihime said.

"Thanks, but I'm still nervous about the results." Rukia said. "I'm not sure why. I'm only trying it out this once."

"It can still be a little anxious to wait for the results." Orihime said. "Sometimes I worry that I won't make it, even if I do get a good score. There's no guarantee that you'll make it to the next round. I know you're only trying it this once, but it can still get to you."

"Wow, Orihime. I'm most impressed." Rukia said as she continues to be amazed with Orihime's wisdom.

"Here we go." Baron announced to put an end to the anxious waiting. "We have the eight competitors that are moving to the second round." All of them looked with all of them hoping for the best. The eight showed up and it showed both Orihime and Rukia made it.

...

The Stage

"They both made it!" Chad said.

"Yeah! They both did great!" Ichigo said.

"Now the real battle starts." Geoffrey said. "Two friends might be going against each other. I wonder how the two of them are going to do from here on out." The second part of the competition was underway. Orihime and Rukia gave it their all in the battles. They battled their way through it all. Eventually, the two of them made it all the way to finals.

"We're now entering the final battle. It's between Orihime and Rukia." Baron said.

"It's just...you and me." Rukia said.

"I'm both anxious and excited." Orihime said as she was certainly having mixed feelings about this situation.

"It's actually down to the two of them." Chad said.

"This is going to be a great battle." Ichigo said.

"Experience vs. novice. Not uncommon, but we'll see what pays off in the end." Geoffrey said.

"Let the battle begin!" Baron said as it all started.

"Azumarill, let's go!" Orihime called.

"Azumarill!"

"Dewgong, one more time!" Rukia said.

"Dewgong!"

"Azumarill, Bubble Beam!" Orihime said. Azumarill launched a series of bubbles. They blasted against Dewgong, but Dewgong was able to endure the attack.

"Azumarill starts out, but Dewgong is able to handle it since it's a fellow water-type and an ice-type." Baron said.

"Azumarill, Iron Tail!" Orihime said. Azumarill hardened its tail and went on the attack.

"Dewgong, Signal Beam!" Rukia said.

"Dewgong!" Dewgong fired the beam from its horn and blasted Azumarill before Azumarill's attack could even land. "Now use Ice Shard!" Dewgong fired the shard of ice and it smashed against Azumarill.

"This could be a long battle. Their attacks won't do too much damage against each other." Ichigo said.

"The only thing that could work for Orihime is Iron Tail." Chad said.

"In a battle decided by brute force, but there's more to it than that." Geoffrey said.

"Azumarill, Blizzard!" Orihime said. Azumarill unleashed a powerful blast of snow, but Dewgong was able to handle that attack as well. It was having little to no effect.

"Dewgong, Ice Shard! Let's use the power of that Blizzard!" Rukia said. Dewgong formed another shard of ice and launched it into the Blizzard. The ice power from Azumarill's own attack made the shard grew bigger.

"Look at that! Rukia is using Azumarill's own attack to make Dewgong's attack stronger!" Baron said as the large shard came closer and closer.

"We can use that! Iron Tail!" Orihime said. Azumarill swung its tail around and smashed it against the shard. The attack caused Ice Shard to shatter with some of the pieces smashing against Dewgong. "Now use Iron Tail again!" Azumarill went at Dewgong again and smashed the tail against Dewgong.

"That looked like a strong hit. Can Dewgong hold out?" Baron questioned.

"That's what you meant, wasn't it, Geoffrey?" Ichigo said.

"Right. They need to use more than just brute force to win this battle. They'll need to get a little creative." Geoffrey said.

"Dewgong's practically a sitting Psyduck like this." Rukia said. "We need to get moving, and I think I know how we can do that. Dewgong, Ice Beam on the ground!" Dewgong started shooting a beam of ice around and the ground was starting to freeze. With the floor frozen, Dewgong slid around to make it harder for Azumarill to land an attack

"Dewgong has turned the field into an ice field and is really using it." Baron said.

"Signal Beam!" Rukia said. Dewgong kept firing multiple blasts from its horn with Azumarill getting blasted in every direction.

"Azumarill, get out of there!" Orihime called. Azumarill tried to run, but slipped on the ice and kept getting blasted by the attacks. Dewgong is moving freely while Azumarill is stuck. "What am I going to do now?" Orihime tried to think of a way out of this before Azumarill gets taken out. She thought of what she could do until it came to her. "Azumarill, Waterfall right where you're standing!" Azumarill used the attack and created a pillar of water right where Azumarill was standing. The attack blew Dewgong back with Azumarill be launched into the air.

"No way!" Rukia said as she wasn't expecting that.

"Iron Tail!" Orihime said. Azumarill came down at Dewgong and smashed its tail against Dewgong. Dewgong took a lot of damage from that attack and was knocked out.

"Dewgong is no longer able to battle. That means the winner is Orihime with her Azumarill!" Baron said.

"Yes! We did it, Azumarill!" Orihime said as she and Azumarill hugged each other.

"You were great, Dewgong. I'm real proud of you." Rukia said as she comforted Dewgong. With Orihime being made the winner, she was being rewarded her second star medal. A medal with an orange diamond in it.

"Congrats, Orihime. You put on a fine battle and really showed off Azumarill well." Baron said.

"Thank you." Orihime said as she took her medal and is one step closer to catching her rivals.

...

Outside

"Congrats, Orihime. You did great." Geoffrey said as he was talking to all of them outside.

"Thank you. I only need two more medals now." Orihime said.

"Rukia, what about you?" Geoffrey asked as he wanted to know what she was going to do. "You did pretty good out there."

"The thing is, as fun as it was, these competitions aren't for me." Rukia said. "Being in the actual battle, I could see how passionate Orihime is about all of this. I don't have the kind of passion. I think I'll stick with cheering for her on the sides."

"So be it. It's your choice." Geoffrey said. "I have been keeping tabs on Pokemon Talent Star. They'll be having a competition in Fabber Town. It's just past Bountful City."

"Really?! That's where we were heading next for Ichigo's gym battle." Orihime said. "Thank you for everything, Geoffrey."

"Sure thing. Best of luck." Geoffrey said as he left.

"Bye, Geoffrey!" Ichigo said as they all waved him farewell.

"Better be ready for next time, Orihime. You'll win that third medal in Fabber Town." Rukia said.

"Thanks, Rukia. I can't wait." Orihime said.

Orihime has won her second star medal. She's now one step closer to entering Ultimate Talent Star. It's now Ichigo's turn. His fifth gym battle will be coming pretty soon. Stay tune to see more.
