Both of us pulled to a stop, smoke coming out of Geiger's runner as we did so. What drew my attention, however, was the fact that the spikes on his wheels were still present even though the duel was over.

If those are real, he could have seriously injured me!

Carefully, I pulled up next to him, "Are you okay?"

He pulled out a microphone from thin air, and stood up to his full height, towering above me.

What in the -

Suddenly his voice echoed around the arena, replacing the voice of the irritating announcer, "I was planning on exposing this when I won, but right now works as well. Goodwin wants nothing more than to summon the Crimson Dragon, and is willing to do anything to do that."

Geiger pointed directly up, at the display globe, which was no longer showing us, but rather the ruins of a small village burned to the ground. He continued to monologue, "This was my village until Goodwin got a hold of it and tried to summon his o-so precious dragon. Now nothing is left of it!"

In the blink of an eyes, he jumped back on his runner, yelling at the top of his lungs, "I will have justice for my people!"

He launched off, and without thinking I shot off in the opposite direction.

What is he doing?

Every cell in my body went cold as he launched himself towards the main tower by driving up the curved barrier around the field.

Jack's in there!

Justice's engine roared as I pushed her to her top speed up the barrier as well. My sense of up and down vanished just seconds before the two runners collided in mid-air.

Screeching metal rang through my ears as the two of us slid against each other, and a terrifying pop was felt through my runner. My eyes traced one of the wheel spikes as it flew towards the tower as we roughly returned to the ground.

I initially managed to land on my wheels, but fell to the ground after sliding sideways for a long stretch. As I sat up, I looked back up at the tower, now with a massive hole in the front.

Before I could register everything, Geiger was holding me up by my collar, "HOW COULD YOU STOP ME!"

Looking him dead in the eye, I calmly responded, "Do you really think that settling things by force would help? That's his way, not yours. I will get your revenge for you, but there were innocent people in that tower. I wasn't going to allow you to kill those who have not intentionally hurt you."

My body was dropped to the ground, just as images of Goodwin appeared around the arena. The smug bastard was as calm as ever, and filled his voice with sickly sweet concern, "It is always a grim prospect when an amazing duelist loses their mind and turns on those around them."

As he spoke, a group of Sector Security agents surrounded us, and pulled him off me.

"Do not worry fans of Geiger. We will make sure that he gets the medical treatment that he needs, so that he can return to the activity that he is so passionate about. This, I promise as Director."

The crowd erupted into applause as Geiger turned his head to me, "Finish what you came here to do since I can't."

I gave him the slightest of nods, and pulled my runner back up, wheeling it back to the garage.

Within seconds of me entering my garage, Aki rushed over to me, "Yusei, did you get checked by the doctors? You took a horrible fall!"

Parking Justice, I started collecting my tools, "I'm not going to go to a hospital just because of a few bruises. I'm more concerned about Justice."

"No, Yusei, they have doctors on call here."

My head snapped her direction, "That's a thing? People can just have doctors wherever they want?"

She sat down next to me as my hands flew through the process of fixing my runner, "Yeah, Yusei. They are always at speed duels because if you crash it can kill people."

"Good to know. You ready for your duel?"

Aki gathered all of her things, "Yes, but Yusei, could you please go to the physician while I'm gone?"

"I'll go after I fix Justice."

The garage door shut behind her as I hurried to fix my fairly beat up runner. But everytime that I would dare to think that I was done, I would find another thing broken.

After a while, I realised that her duel had been going for a while, and I had not been paying attention. Multiple large chunks of the foot arena were missing, and Aki's hair was starting to sway.

Justice suddenly repaired herself, and I shot out of my garage at the speed of light*. My feet carried me over to the stairs, and I crouched at the top so I could see the duel at a better angle.

A man's voice drifted down to me just as I crouched, "You are a threat to everyone around you, and when you lose, you are going to a place where you will never hurt anyone ever again."

I edged out of my hiding place, and Aki saw me, calming down almost immediately. I mouthed to her, "Finish this duel, and then we can take a break."

A smile spread on her face, and she returned to the duel, dishing out less physical damage now that she wasn't upset. Despite that, I stayed where I was just to keep giving her support.

Despite her gaining back her confidence, it was a difficult duel. Her opponent, who had the ridiculous name of Commander Corta, held nothing back. For every attack he landed on her, there were ten vocal attacks as well.

Halfway through the duel, after he managed to take out her dragon, a bright red mark appeared on her arm. I glanced down at my burning arm, and sighed in relief when I saw that despite the pain, my arm was not glowing. But to my shock, the large piece of metal in her hair fell out at the same time. I felt the surge of energy fill the stadium, and bit my lip. Calm or not, Aki had reached her breaking point.

Telekinetics fight when they feel cornered. And that meant one thing: this guy wasn't going to make it through her next turn.

She glared at him, "I activate my Rose Curse! If a spell destroys one of my monsters, then you take that monster's attack point as damage."

Commander Corta=0 Defeat!

Aki grabbed the metal object from the ground, and then rushed over to where I was waiting. I pulled her into a hug, "If it makes you feel better, Aki, even I have hurt people with my power. It's just another thing for us to learn to control. We aren't monsters, just those who were born with a talent different than the talents other people have."

"It just hurt. He knew everything about me, and used it against me."

We started down the stairs, and I brushed tears off of her face, "You just need to practice keeping a cool head. It's always hard to control your powers when you are under stress."

Once we got back to the garage, I put my arm bracer back on, "We'll stay here until they come to get me, that way we don't accidentally run into your so-called friends."

Aki rolled the object back into her bangs, pinning it in place before she talked, "This is a telekinetic blocker. I don't know if it actually works, but I feel more in control when I'm wearing it."

"If it helps you, then it's doing its job. It doesn't matter if just having it helps you stay calmer, or if it actually works. The important thing is if you feel in control while wearing that."

She smiled as she ensured that it wouldn't move, before her smile vanished suddenly, "I don't know how I'm going to react to being in front of the crowd again. They riled me up more than he did."

"I trust you, Aki. I know you will not hurt me on purpose."

A knock came from the door as a voice drifted in, "Fudo-san, it's almost time for the next duel."

"Thank you! Well, it seems like our break is up. Ready to see how bad the slurs are going to be?"

Also, I intentionally mentioned the doctors and didn't have Yusei go to them.
