Luz looked at the bathroom door, hesitating and fiddling with her medallion, before taking a deep breath and walking into the room.

Ever since she made the mistake of looking into the cursed mirror, she's been scared of looking into any reflective surface, but she rediscovered some of her confidence the other night, Luz decided that she needed to face her demons. No matter how literal or figurative. Also, almost dying of a manticore transmitted disease told her to not set things aside for later.

She faced the bathroom mirror. It shimmered before the yellow-eyed copy herself revealed itself. A noticeable detail was the newly formed crack going down the mirror. Odd, it wasn't there earlier.

"Hiiiii! So glad you're feeling better! It would've been boring if I was just stuck like this without the original still kicking!" The yellow-eyed copy said with a giggle. The copy then made silver reflective flowers appear and presented them to Luz, they had a "Get Well" card on it. "For you!" She pushed the flowers against the mirror. "Take them, I insist…"

"Y- yeah, yeah, whatever, Listen! I'm tired of you! You need to leave me alone!" Luz said, standing her ground to the copy demon, rudely ignoring the flowers and card.

"Aw that's cute, you think being brave and confident is going to get rid of me." She laughed, making the flowers disappear over her shoulders. "Listen, Princess, you can call me Zul, the Copy Demon."

"W- What?" Luz asked, honestly not knowing what else to say.

Zul laughed. "Cute, I know, it's just your name Backwards, I know, but that's just my thing, you know..." Her eyes glowed brightly in the mirror. "Like Soleb, Alimac, Ade, Gink, etc... You get the idea, I'm sure,"

"Well, then what's your real name?!" Luz asked, gripping the sink, and leaning forward.

"Woah, Woah, Woah! Slow down there, kid, names have power for powerful demons such as me! And sadly, I'm not willing to give you mine... Then I'll have to actually leave you alone due to ancient laws made by the original Demon King and yada yada blah blah blah, nono, I would very much rather terrorize you to your death!" Zul said, smiling with sharp teeth and bright yellow eyes.

"Why!?" Luz asked the million-dollar question.

"Cause it's fun and you know... Entertaining and I'm hoping for you to let your guard down. A demon gets bored, sealed away in the mirror world... Cause of that damn witch..." Zul seemed to get angry thinking of someone from their past.

"Wait, so someone sealed you away in that mirror world, then? You didn't just come into existence there?" Luz asked, "Who did?"

"Who else could? Azura," Zul said with a scoff. "What an annoying witch…"

"Azura did?! I thought she was just a legend! At least that's what my Dad said…" Luz said, contemplating to herself before a knock on the door alerted her.

"Luz? Are you ok? Who are you talking to?" Eda asked, "Are you committing a human ritual? Or is this another weird human thing I don't understand?"

Luz looked at the door and then back to the mirror. It was a normal reflection now. "We're not finished..." She whispered to herself before opening the door and apologizing to Eda for keeping her waiting.

It had been a few days since the Demon Pneumonia incident.

Belos had the woods searched for the Manticore but it seemed to have disappeared completely from the forest. It made him angry, naturally, that he couldn't have Fera of the beast coven stuff the Lion into a statue...

Luz was back at the Owl House and they were going to the Covention, a special event hosted by the Nine Covens.

Eda was forced to Chaperone, at the threat of being forced to read more Azura with Luz.

Luz couldn't help but notice certain details aligned with the Boiling Isles and her Azura books, now that she reread certain articles from the book. Like the architecture was similar, albeit different by several generations. She pushed the Azura mystery out of her system for now and looked towards her friends.

"So, this convention-" She began.

"Covention," Gus corrected.

"So, this Covention," Luz continued, "Is it supposed to help witches in training choose, what? A career path?" Luz asked.

"Well, yes it's something like that." Willow said, "You know how the Covens work, right?"

"Yeah, my Dad works for the Covens. He says Covens provide some order to the Isles, that because of them, Wild witches aren't a problem anymore. Not as bad as they once were," Luz said before looking up to her bothered mentor. "Or so I'm told, anyway."

Eda sighed and ruffled Luz's hair. "Guess it can't be helped… Considering who's your father is and his propaganda." She said as she continued to escort the trio of friends and King, who was currently napping inside of Eda's hair. "So why couldn't your Pops bring you? This seems like something right up his ally."

"I don't know, he said something about Coventions not really being something he participated in…" Luz paused and let Willow and Gus walk ahead before whispering the truth. "Though, I'm pretty sure the guest would love to see the Emperor… but besides that," Luz said, deciding now to change the subject, "Why don't you like Covens, Eda?" Luz asked as Willow and Gus rejoined the group after noticing the formed distance.

"Because kid, once you join a coven, you're in it for life," Eda said as they finally reached the Covention hall, swinging open the doors to the hall.

"Woah…" Luz said in amazement, looking up at the huge Coven banners hanging from the ceiling. They all had the same design it would seem, the only differences being color and symbols on them. "This is so cool!" Luz said as everyone followed after her.

"Those are the main nine covens! But there are hundreds of others of other ones you can join; all covens are branches of the main nine ones, like how the Orchestra, Painting, or the Culinary coven are under the Bard Coven since they're all artistic representations. Although culinary also falls under Potions at times… It's a messy topic, so don't bring it up to other coven members!" Gus explained.

"There's a lot of Covens to choose from," Willow continued, "For example the Flower Coven, Small cat Coven, Eating Coven, Menders Coven, Even Smaller Cat Coven..." Willow listed all she could see. Willow's face was rather red at the moment, for Luz had decided to wrapped her arms around Willow's. Willow tried not to bring attention to it.

Eda then groaned loudly, seeming that all the Coven talk was getting to her very psyche.

"Also the grumpy coven…" She whispered to Gus and Luz, making them giggle.

"What was that?!" Eda challenged, raising a fist. The Trio plus King ran away from her fury.

Only small moments later, Luz noticed what looked to be construction equipment. And a machine that looked oddly made of flesh? It always boggled her mind how similar everything from Earth and the Isles were. The main difference being she wasn't sure if it was alive or not half the time.

"What's that?" Luz pointed towards what seemed to be two pallets of Wood and bricks and a bearded man in construction uniform. The man suddenly picked both pallets up, tossing them high into the air. The building materials fall back down behind him, forming a perfect small cottage home with windows and even a weathervane on the also perfectly formed roof. The entire structure glowed brown for a brief moment.

"The Construction Coven, one of the main nine, they use Power Glyphs to increase their strength to do stuff like that," Willow explained as Tiny Nose got one of those stamps slapped on her nose, powering up and beginning to rain mayhem and destruction on the Construction Site. Two different Coven members stepped in to intervene, only failing it would seem.

"Wowza," Luz said, obviously impressed.

"Wowza!" An illusion of her said right after.

"AH! DEMON!" Luz jumped back, thinking it was Zul. Eda caught her in her arms.

"Woah! Relax Luz! It's just the Illusion's Coven." Gus explained as he drew a circle, "We like to use magic with a bit of," He disappeared before reappearing again, "Showmanship." He said, in a mock bow of sorts, the two other Coven members joined Gus, posing with flare. "We take after our Coven Head, he's a big inspiration."

"I don't see why you wouldn't want to be a part of a Coven Eda." Luz said, "A sense of belonging, comradery, acceptance, they have it all."

Eda turned Luz towards the Illusions stand. "Look closer, kid, when you join a Coven, all your other magic gets sealed away," They watched as a kid got accepted into the Illusion Coven, a small tattoo appearing on his forearm, making blue tech lines appear from the tattoo and circulate all over his body. "Now that kid can only do illusion magic for the rest of his life. No Bard, Abomination, Healing, nothing!" She said with a huff.

"Since I never joined a Coven, I can do every type of magic," She demonstrated by making a fire and a water ball in both hands, "And that's why I'm the most powerful witch in the Boiling Isles," Eda said before walking off. The trio went to follow after their chaperone.

King was then stopped by a girl with purple hair and a hood, she looked like she needed coffee to survive, judging from the bags on her eyes.

"The tea leaves predicted this, Prince of Demons! This-!" She presented him with a pen and handed it to him. "Will lead you to your destiny!"

"Fortune Tellers, huh…?" He said, stroking his chin. "Hey wait! How did you know about me being a-"

"Destinyyyyyyyy…" The girl said, disappearing into the crowds of covention-goers.

"Hey! Come back here!" He shouted, running after the girl, running into the crowd of people with determination.

"Hey, guys, what's this one?" Luz asked, acting like she didn't know the crest for her father's Coven that was very clearly hanging above the giant doors.

"Gasp! It's the Emperor's Coven! You think they'll sign my forehead!?" Gus asked Willow.

"Only one way to know!" Willow responded as Gus ran in and Willow rushed in after him.

"Well, Eda, you can come and join us if you want, this should be fun to see!" She said before quickly following after her friends.

"Ah, alright, well, I'll be around, you won't catch me in there rubbing elbows with the Emperor's Coven," Eda said, as if the words disgusted her, she turned to leave but saw a security guard advancing towards her. He seemed to be looking for her, as evident by him holding her old wanted poster. Knowing her luck, he probably got a report of her stealing from stands and was looking to apprehend her. She turned and walked into the panel after Luz, deciding she'd rather deal with a coven than get that poster reinstated for petty theft...

"I still don't know if this is a great idea…" Camila said as a seamstress worked on her husbands' cloak. "Why couldn't Lilith be here again?"

"Because," Belos began, "I sent her to the lower parts of the Titan earlier this week and she won't return till later today." He raised his arms for the seamstress. "The small disturbance was a bit bigger than anticipated, and we got a Raecrow requesting backup." He said as the seamstress stepped back and inspected him and made sure every inch of his clothing was perfect.

"So she can't make the presentation herself," Camila concluded.

"Correct but she's already on route back here, as we speak," He commented, "And besides, I thought our new guards could help show off their skill to the people."

"You also still haven't explained them either, where did they come from? Did they just appear on our doorstep?" Camila asked, huffing, and placing her hands on her hips.

"I already told you," The seamstress was still working hard, "They were a gift from the Titan, for our safety, protection, and other endeavors."

Camila pursed her lips and clenched her teeth, crossing her arms.

"Leave us…" Camila said, the seamstress looked up suddenly at her before looking towards Belos. He nodded slowly. The seamstress left the room quickly, taking one last look over Belos's clothes before leaving.

"My love, we've had this discussion before and-"

"And we'll have it again!" Camila interrupted. "I've said it before, and I'll say it again! You cannot trust the Titan! He's is older than Time! Why would you think that he has your best intentions in mind!?"

"To say that you don't know him like I, would be an understatement…" He sighed, "He's led me to this position," He defended, "He empowered me to defeat Emperor Crisis with the help of my Coven Heads," He took off his mask, "He gave me the last of his powerful magic to help me defeat the Demon King of the Demon Lands when he invaded…" He ran a hand over the magic scars on the left side of his face. "I would be foolish to betray him when he has done so much for me in my life…"

Camila bit her tongue, she looked down, ashamed of herself but refusing to relent. "I just don't want anything to happen to you or me… Luz can't lose her parents so soon..."

Belos surprised her by holding her head and pulling her close, giving her forehead a loving kiss before holding her into a tight hug. "Do not worry, my love, I won't let my devotions forget my love for you and Luz. I'll always rejoice for that moment you fell into my lap on the throne."

Camila laughed and hugged him back.

"You thought I was an assassin with a faulty teleportation spell and threw me into the dungeon!"

"And that interrogation was the best of my life." Belos laughed.

Camila blushed and hit his chest cutely.

"That was your own fault for walking into an anti-magic cell with me and sending your guards away."

They both laughed and gave each other kisses between giggles.

Suddenly, they both heard Bump beginning to announce the special guest.

"That's the cue," He said with a sighed before separating from Camila and readorning his mask before he stepped back and snapping his fingers, disappearing in a flash of red magic.

-Y- On Stage -Y-

"And now to introduce the leader of this Esteemed Coven, you know him, you adore him, you FEAR him," Bump paused for dramatic effect before announcing-

"Emperor Belos!"

The entire crowd of Witches and Demons all went silent. Maybe Bump has gone senile, or maybe running a magic school with practically uncontrollable child witches finally got to him and he's finally cracked.

Suddenly, above the entire crowd of people, the golden frame of an Eagle formed and cawed at them before it flew down and touched down onto the stage. It flicked and dissipated, revealing the Emperor, Belos. Standing with his staff at his side. His attire seemed to shine more than usual; he was wearing more white than his usual darker colors.

No one knew how to react, joy? Fear? Celebration? That is until a clapping was heard.

Looking, most to everyone saw seemed to be a human girl was clapping in the front seats.

"Woo!" Luz shouted and clapped louder. Willow and Gus followed suit.

Soon enough, the entire crowd also began to clap, not wanting to be possibly branded as a traitor for not clapping for the Emperor of the Isles, especially for blessing them with his presence no less.

Belos looked at the crowd, people in the Hall perhaps heard Bump shout his name, for a lot more people filed in and began taking seats to see the actual Emperor in action. After a few more moments of clapping, Belos raised a hand. The crowd slowly died down to utter silence.

"My people of the Isles… I've ruled over our beautiful home for decades, the Titan blessing me with long life and incredible power, but even I could not defend the entirety of the Isles by myself…" He said, although, Luz imagined that he probably could if he really tried. He did not need a microphone like Bump, instead deciding to use magic to expel his voice from everywhere in the room.

Luz leaned over to her friends, "Fun, huh?" She whispered.

"FUN!? You don't understand Luz, the Emperor HIMSELF, is here!" Gus said excitedly, magicking a pair of illusionary binoculars to see the Emperor better. Luz wondered if they actually worked. "This is a once-in-a-lifetime kind of deal for some people!"

Luz laughed silently, 'For you, maybe,' She thought as she continued to listen.

"…My Coven has a certain Elite Guard…" Belos said as Eagle, Crow, and Hawk landed behind him, arms folded in unison behind their backs.

Their uniforms resembled Belos's attire, although the whites were all replaced with darker overtones and they seemed more made to be able to move around in.

"These are such examples, with only a fraction of power, these elite guards protect the Isles with ease…" He snapped his fingers.

The Trio got into a triangular stance, Hawk firing a fire spell, Crow firing a water spell, and Hawk firing a lightning spell from what seemed to be her palm while the others used spell circles. The three spells met in the middle and combined, the fire and water turning into steam and the lightning turning the steam into plasma, the uncompressed plasma had nowhere to go, thus it exploded in a powerful flash, sending powerful shockwaves throughout the stands.

The crowd cheered loudly, impressed with the amount of synergy this trio had with each other, and some even feeling inspired by this personal hands-on display by the Emperor to join his Coven, even more than before, for some.

"With this display, I hope you may consider joining my Coven and help in defending the Isles from any threat that may hurt our precious home." He said, finishing his presentation with ease.

The crowd clapped and cheered. It was then that he received a mental message from Kikimora, that Lilith was entering the Hall any second now. He tapped his staff on the stage. He focused on her energy, sensing her across the Covention floor, getting mobbed by fans. He rolled his eyes and snapped his fingers.

Instantaneously, Lilith appeared next to him, in her mask and even her cloak, which he also made appear for her.

"And to answer all of your questions of the Emperor's Coven, Lilith! Head, of the Emperor's Coven." She quickly fell into the scene before her, throwing the teleporting spells after effects away, as it usually caused nausea in the recipient. Clearing her throat and stepping forward and using a blue raven to take her cloak and mask behind the stage.

The crowd almost instantly swarmed Lilith, beginning to ask a series of questions. Belos and the Trio had disappeared almost instantly once the questioning began.

Luz and co. had also left the hall, deciding to do other things while the Covention was still in town. Luz listened to Gus exclaim how cool and spooky the Emperor was and how amazing his Elite guard was! Although, this was also Luz's first time hearing about them. While lost in her thought, she bumped into someone, making them both tumble to the ground.

"Ugh, Luz if that's you…" Amity Blight looked and sighed, of course, it was the clumsiest Princess of the Isles who bumped into her again. "Why is it always you?" She groaned as she got back to her feet, dusting herself off.

"Are you alright, Luz?" Bump seemingly appeared next to her, helping Luz to her feet.

"Oh, Principle Bump, thank-"

"That's not Bump," Amity said suddenly.

"What?" Luz asked.

"That's not Bump, Principle Bump's demon has a tail and he refers to students by surnames if he knows them, that is," Amity pointed out, "This is either an impressive Golem, an illusion, or a shifter, and I'm willing to bet on Illusion, since, Golems is extremely difficult magic, and shifters are rare." She said, crossing her arms, "Who are you, really?"

Bump gave a "hm" before laughing at the bright young girl in front of him. "You have quite the set of eyes on you, young one!" He said in a different voice before making a spell circle and in a puff of smoke, he was revealed.

A hunched-over and a decrepit older man with a white beard and tanned skin, who also seemed to be on his last legs, super skinny as well.

"I am a… Merchant, of sorts, you could say... A peddler if you will!" He reached into his sleeve and pulled out a shiny, golden lamp, handing it to her. "I want to offer you this, fine, treasure!"

"A lamp?" Luz asked as she looked at the great details engraved into the gold. It looked like a depiction of a figure sealing away a malevolent force into a lamp. On closer inspection, it seemed that the figure was Emperor Belo0s, but she couldn't quite tell… She started to rub the lamp clean.

"Now hold on," Eda stepped forward, "A merchant? You want money?" She asked.

"Nono! It's free!" He said, waving his hands.

"Fine by me then!" Eda said as she looked at the lamp more closely, "Wait, is that a Djinn lamp-"

Before she could ask, the Lamp began to rumble and shake with power, heating up greatly. Luz hissed in slight pain, tossing the lamp to the ground. Everyone watched as the Lamp began to hiss violently as a blue smoke was whistled out.

"HAAHAHHAHAHAHAA!" The smoke rumbled out, causing the entire sales floor to shake. Although no one else seemed to notice.

"Oh great, she released a Djinn…" Amity said, drawing a circle and making an abomination rise from the floor behind her.

The blue smoke swirled and formed before forming a shape and a laughing, the blond-haired teen took shape, his clothes dark blue and adorned with many gold trinkets. Two prominent gold bands on his wrist.

"After YEARS of imprisonment inside of the lamp, I AM FREE!" He bellowed, floating in the air, and laughing. "The Boiling Isles will know TRUE fear and subjection!" He promised, eyes glowing evilly. "Starting with the fool who imprisoned me, Belos!" The wind picked up greatly and everyone had to hold on to each other to not fly away. Amity had her Abomination hold her secure.

Luz's eyes widened as the consequences of her actions weighed on her mind. 'I can't let this happen!' The single thought ran through her mind like wildfire, that she would be blamed for bringing the end of the Isle's and hundreds would suffer or die for her recklessness. She felt a feeling in his chest, a burning magical feeling as she got ready to draw a spell circle.

"Lord Lovelace is that you?!" Gus shouted.

"What?" The group of witches said in unison, Luz's eyes returned to normal sizes and the magic in her chest dissipated, and she felt extremely hungry as well.

"What?" She asked Gus as well, looking towards the Djinn, she started putting the pieces together. Looking harder, she saw that the "evil Djinn" had a striking resemblance to the Head of the Illusions Coven. From the blond hair to the blue accents on his dark clothing.

"Lord Lovelace?" Luz asked as well.

The mad Djinn stopped his laughter and looked down at Gus before sighing.

"Gus, you've spoiled the fun yet again." He said as he snapped his fingers, the giant cloud of blue smoke covered the area. The peddler disappeared in a cloud of smoke.

Once the smoke and dust settled, standing there was a younger man, still, in his teens, it would seem. He wore darker robes with light blue highlights and a black band at the waist, wearing black boots and arm wrappings that had runes drawn into them, power enhancement maybe? His hair made him stick out the most, having short wild blonde hair that reached the nape of his neck.

Everyone's eyes widened; their thoughts having been confirmed.

"Lord Lovelace/Aaron!?" They all said in unison, Eda calling him by his first name.

"The one and only," He cast a spell and a neon sign appeared over him, showing them the Words "Illusion Coven Head!" In bright blue neon light.

Although the words were floating above his head, no one seemed to react and swarm the popular coven head, he was well known around the Isles for his many achievements, even though he was rather young.

"Don't worry about anything," He said, "I cast a simple illusion around the lot of us." He said as he stretched and cracked his knuckles. "Everyone on the outside thinks we're just an interesting group of nerds."

"That would explain why no one screamed and ran when he announced his hostile takeover of the Isles…" Amity said, crossing her arms and sending her Abomination away.

"Master!" Gus shouted, running up to the Coven's head excitedly.

"Gus, my apprentice!" Lord Lovelace said as he ruffled Gus's hair, "Didn't think I'd see you here, I just had to pull a prank."

"I didn't think you'd be here either, Aaron," Eda said, crossing her arms with a small smile. "How's your old man?"

"Oh, hi Eda," Lord Lovelace said, turning to face her, "He's fine, happy that you aren't stone and teaching… you know who," He said eyeing Luz.

"Good, he still owes me 50 snails from the last time I saw him." She said with a huff.

At this point, Luz was practically losing her mind.

"Hold on Hold on, how do you know each other?" She asked.

Eda looked at Luz before back to Lovelace. "I knew his father in school, we kept in contact after I… dropped out, you could say. He gave me some food and stuff when I needed it. When he had a kid, I gave him an illusion spellbook I wasn't using anymore, for his birthday."

"And that book was a prank and joke book, also about presentations!" He said, making blue fireworks shoot from his fingertips. "When dear old dad retired, I was a candidate for his chair as the Leader of the Coven, Eda helped me hone a few my skills a bit… Only to repay a favor from my dad, but we all know she loves me!" He said, giving Eda puppy dog eyes, only after his entire head turned into a dog's head.

Eda scoffed and pushed him away. "As a nephew, maybe," She said with a laugh.

"And Gus?" Luz pointed at him.

"Oh, he's my apprentice, you see," He began, shaking his head free of the illusion, "Gus is one of the youngest illusionists in Hexside, despite being so young! Reminds me of myself when I became Coven Head at 18, I just had to mentor him." He said, running a hand through Gus's hair and getting it stuck, "We'll work on that,"

"If I'm lucky, I'll be his second hand one day!" Gus said with stars in his eyes.

"Well, while this whole thing has been very enlightening," Amity said, dusting herself off and picking up her notes and pencils, "but I got to go and learn some actual magic, Luz." She said, beginning to walk past Luz.

Suddenly, a set of tiny feet could be heard running towards them.

"Luz!" King shouted as he slammed into Amity, toppling her and himself to the ground and dropping several items he was holding, including a cupcake and a pen.

"Oh, buddy, you ok?" Luz walked past Amity and kneeling at King's side.

"I'm fine, where's my cupcake offering?" He asked as he looked around. Luz spotted the cupcake, reaching for it when Amity suddenly stomped on it.

"No! My offering!" King shouted, Amity grinding her heel into the pastry.

"Now that was harsh folks," Lord Lovelace said, turning to the readers, "Let's see what happens next…" He turned the imaginary camera towards Luz and Amity as he lowered his illusion around them, letting the Covention goers watch the scene unfold.

"Amity!" Luz shouted as she held King close, "Why'd you do that for?!" She asked, giving a look that only Belos could match but Amity was unphased.

"Oops," she said, giving a sly smile and picking up her foot from the ground, "That was an accident!" She said in a fake apologetic tone.

"Why are you being so mean for, Amity? We have our differences, yeah, but-" Luz asked, crossing her arms.

"Because," Amity interrupted, "You and your pet give actual witches a bad name." She said simply, crossing her arms and looking down at Luz with a look of superiority drawn all over her face.

"I am not a pet!" King announced, unconsciously scratching himself like a dog with his back leg. Luz suddenly held his face close to her own.

"He is a very good boy and the KING of demons! I'll tell you what, Amity!" Luz stood and got close to Amity, pointing a finger at her face. A passing crowd started to form.

"It's one thing to say I can't be a good witch-"

"Cause, you can't," Amity said, crossing her arms and looking at Luz with an unimpressed look.

"But it's another thing to make fun of my friends! As the Good Witch Azura once said, when facing her rival Hecate at the Bog of Immediate Regret! I challenge you to a Witch's Dual!" Once those words slipped through her lips, the entire Covention released a collective gasp! Everyone seemed to have their full attention on Amity now, even ignoring Lord Lovelace.

Amity rolled her eyes, walking forward, past Luz's pointing finger, and came near Luz's face and seemingly staring her down with intense and confident eyes. Luz's own confidence seemed to dwindle in comparison to hers, only slightly. Slowly, Amity replied.

"I accept!" She said before crossing her arms, she stepped back. "Let's set the terms for this dual then, shall we?"

"One! If I win, you apologize to King for squashing his cupcake-"

King was currently holding the ruined cupcake up to his cheek in pure sadness, saying a demon Prayer for the cupcake.

"-And two! You admit that I WILL, and CAN be a great witch too!" Luz concluded her terms.

"Fine by me," Amity said with a sinisterly confident smile, "But if I win, not only do you have to tell the whole Covention that you're not a witch, you also will need to stop practicing magic. Forever." Amity, said, drawing out the forever to get her point across.

The small realization of being able to do magic ever again suddenly struck Luz, how would she be Empress of the Isles if she couldn't use her magic?

"Do it, Luz! Avenge my honor!" He said, clenching the frosting in his paws.

"Fine, deal!" Luz agreed, putting her hand out for Amity, "Let's shake on it!"

"Gladly." Amity smiled and drew a magenta circle around Luz's hand before shaking it. The circle made their hands glow brightly. "The everlasting oath is sealed," Amity said, evilly might I add, and let go of Luz's hand, the seal disappeared soon after.

Luz stared at her hand for a moment. "That's probably fine." She said before looking back at Amity.

"I still have things to do, so meet back here in the theater in one hour, Lord Lovelace can officiate the entire ordeal," She said, turning and leaving.

The Coven's head saluted. "And I'd be more than happy to do so! Not every day you see a Witch's Dual between two Magical prodigy's!" He sounded like an old-timey radio host announcer. Matter of fact, his entire outfit was black and white too. "Oh, it'll be a fight for the Ages! Everyone will be in attendance!" He then disappeared, suddenly an entire wall was adorned with fight Posters.

"Come one, come all! To the fight of the century!" The poster read, Lord Lovelace had decided to stylize Luz and Amity as boxers facing each other, fighting for the title bout of Champion. It even had time, date, and location.

"Does the Isles even have boxing?" Luz asked, looking at a poster before looking down towards King. "I can win this right?" She asked King, who was now happily munching on the cupcake remains.

"Hm? Yeah, no, probably not." King said, continuing to munch on his cupcake.

Luz clenched teeth, whimpering as the anxiety of possibly losing a Witch's dual started getting to her.

"Oh Titan, Amity is gonna kill me all the way dead!" She said softly as Eda placed a hand on Luz's shoulder.

"Don't worry kid, Let's get us some grub, relax a bit, and when I get back, then I'll teach you surefire to win this dual." Eda gave Luz finger guns before dashing away to the food court. On her way there, she was stopped.

"Sister? Is that you?" Lilith asked, finishing signing a kid's poster. She then walked over, the crowd of students following her. "I almost didn't recognize you, with that thing around your head." She said as she walked up to her sister. "What are you wearing, anyway? You look like a trash collector. Wait! It's because you are!" She and the students all giggled at Eda's expense.

Eda rolled her eyes undid the bandana from around her hair, freeing her hair. "Oh, Lily, I just had to see the Leader of the Emperor's coven in action!" She exclaimed before crouching to the young witches. "You know, when we were kids, Lilith used to get so excited to see the Emperor's Coven, she used to pee a little!" She said to them.

All the kids laughed at the remark, while Lilith herself blushed in slight embarrassment.

She began to push the kids away, "That- that's all for today! Remember to keep practicing your magic!" she said softly as she waved them away. She turned back to Eda.

"So, sister," she began, "I ran into Amity a bit ago and she says that she challenged the Princess to a witch's dual?" She asked.

"Other way around, it was Luz who made the challenge." Eda corrected, smiling proudly at her sister.

Lilith sighed and rubbed her eyes.

"This can't be good… Amity will surely beat the Princess in the dual. How will I explain to the Emperor that his only heir can't perform magic cause of an everlasting oath… Formed by one of MY own protégé, no less… I'll be petrified for sure… Or Amity will be!" She speculated.

Eda raised an eyebrow at her worrying sister and cleared her throat, getting her attention.

"What makes you so certain that Luz will luz, I mean, lose?" Eda asked, crossing her arms. "Let's not forget, that she's my apprentice AND the Princess!" She huffed.

"That doesn't mean anything to anyone, yet. Amity can create giant class abominations!" Lilith boasted, crossing her own arms. "Have you even taught the Princess how to control her magic properly? No offense to her, of course." She said, in case the Emperor was listening in... One could never know what rumor was real and what was a myth.

"Actually…" She paused before standing firm and smiling. "I have! I taught her all the basic elemental spells and she'll be wiping the floor with Amity!" Eda said as Luz herself ran up to Eda, King following close behind.

"Eda! This is my first Witch's Dual! What if one of us hurt or worse! Oh, hey Lilith." Luz greeted.

"What could be worse than dying?" Eda asked as she placed a hand on Luz's shoulder. "She's just nervous, to the food court!" Eda dragged Luz away from Luz. Lilith stared after her sister and Princess.

"I can't afford to lose to my sister…" Lilith whispered as she disappeared in a plume of blue flames, intent on finding her apprentice and coach her on winning... Any means possible.

Luz was nervously eating an entire pile of food like she hadn't eaten in months. Eda could just honestly stared, seeing someone so skinny eat so much... Amazing...

"Kid, you didn't tell me you were packing that much gold snails," Eda commented.

"Is 20 Gold Snails like, a lot? It doesn't matter, I'm nervous and starving! If I'm gonna die, I might as well die on a full belly." Luz said as she finished a burger and gave some of her monster fries to King, not much liking the way they screamed when she ate them.

"Oh, you won't die… Probably," she said, "Listen, Luz, you can't lose! Or my sister won't let me live it down!" She said, slamming her fist on the table. "I can't let this happen and I know exactly how to make sure you win!"

"Really? How?" Luz asked, naturally curious about what her mentor was planning to help her secure her victory.

"Don't worry! It'll be explosive and effective!" She said before quickly standing and sitting on her staff. "I'll talk to you at the arena!" Eda then smacked the side of her staff and she went flying back to the theater. Luz sighed as she reached over and continued to stress eat.

"Knowing Eda, she's probably gonna rig the entire arena," King said as he stole more of Luz's screaming fries.

"You mean like, cheating?!" Luz asked suddenly.

"Yeah, she likes cheating, she has no morals, as long as she wins." King then burped extremely loud.

Luz sunk into her seat and groaned. Hopefully, Eda wouldn't go too far with anything…

-Y- Later -Y-

Luz and Amity were now standing on either side of the Arena.

Amity had her arms crossed and was looking smug and confident in her abilities. She was stretching her fingers and cracking her knuckles, making small practice Abominations as she waited for the Bell. Lilith came up next to Amity and began speaking to the crowd.

"Beloved citizen's, the Emperor's Coven-" Her spotlight was stolen by none other than…

"Proudly presents an AMAZING show! To show off what we look for when joining our exclusive Coven!" Lord Lovelace shouted into a mic, the crowd cheered, the clapping echoing. The illusion coven head was currently flying through the crowd on a magic carpet, successfully hyping the crowd up, much better than Lilith.

"In this corner, holding a long dynasty of magic, blood, and pride behind her, a top student at Hexside and #1 apprentice of Lilith Clawthorne with zero loses and a spotless record, Amiiiity Bliiiiiight!" He made a circle, making a set purple spotlight shine over Amity. The audience clapped and chanted her name at incredible volumes.

"And in this corner, the underdog of this fine spectacle and challenger, a visitor of our lovely Isle's for who knows how long," He said, making a backstory for Luz, seemingly on the spot, "She has defeated countless foes through sheer determination and will!"

"Now he's just making things up," Luz commented.

"She's the light of the Isles and, Luz the Huuuumaaaan!" He shouted, the crowd cheered, although not nearly as hard and or as lovingly as they did for Amity.

Some to most were making passing comments on how humans couldn't even do magic or how it would be an easy victory for the obviously better suited and more powerful Blight.

It surely didn't help Luz's self-esteem.

Eda then landed next to Luz, having jumped from her staff.

"Alright kid you ready for this?" Eda asked as she crouched in front of her, King resting in Eda's hair.

"No!" Luz exclaimed. "I only know a light spell of all things! And where did all these people come from!?" Luz asked as she looked around her.

It was true, the stands were full of people, witches, and demons alike! It would seem that they even had merch, waving green flags with Amity's face on it. Not many had purple Luz flags. Except, of course, Gus and Willow.

"You got this, Luz! Smack the minty green off her head!" Gus shouted in cheers while Willow waved her Luz flags. Luz smiled at her friend's support, feeling better about the Dual. Even if it was so slightly.

"Luz…" A voice said in her head. It wasn't Zul, that was for sure.

"Dad? How are we talking?" Luz asked, recognizing the voice after a few moments.

"The Medallion is enchanted," Looking, Luz saw that her medallion was softly glowing, "Luz, how could you accept an Everlasting Oath? What if you lose your magic?" He asked, sounding tired of the situation already.

"I swear, I didn't even know that those even existed!" Luz defended herself.

"I am aware and it is my own fault, it completely sailed over my head to warn you. I can only wish you luck, my little light," Belos said softly.

"You're not going to help me!?"

"No, I cannot help, duels are an extremely important thing here on the Isles and an Everlasting Oath isn't something I can just break. This isn't a storybook of yours..." He said with a sigh.

"I see that now..." Luz said with a sigh.

"This is a situation you got yourself into, I trust you to handle it yourself, my little light… You have my support and, in case you fall into any trouble, call for Hawk... They'll help you," He said, "They're always watching over you."

Suddenly the signal was hijacked.

"Mija," Camila said suddenly, "You better beat this pinche Blight, she challenges MY daughter after insulting her!? I swear I'll-" Once again, the signal was taken.

"Ahem, I think what your mother means to say is... Good luck, we're wishing you well, we love you..."

"Thanks, Dad, mama… I love you guys too…" Luz whispered, clutching her medallion, as the glow died down.

"Hey, Kid, you ok? You zoned and started talking to the air. You haven't lost it from the stress, right?" She asked.

"As ready as I'll ever be, I was just talking to my parents," Luz said, kicking at the dust in the arena, "Dad says good luck but won't help out."

"What a tool, anyways you don't need to worry about any of that. You see those mounds?" Eda waved her hand at the rather spread-out lumpy surface of the arena. "Get Amity to land on one of those bad boys and she'll set off my magic traps."

Luz looked up at her mentor with an obviously worried look.

"Eda, that's cheating! A princess shouldn't need to cheat to win!"

"Oh, relax kid! Nobody'll know anyway, to all the eyes up there, it'll look like you're performing magic! Just trust me!" Eda said as she sat back down on Owlbert.

"But…" Luz looked at the stands, scanning them. "My parents will know and so will I… Even if I win now, I'll lose…" Luz said, looking away from her mentor with a scared and sad voice.

"That's the spirit!" Eda said, seemingly deciding to ignore Luz's plight with beating the Blight.

The combatants met in the middle as Lord Lovelace floated down between them.

"Alright, I want a good clean Magic Dual, no hair pulling, below-the-belt shots, glyphs or magic mounds, or anything alike. You got it?" He said, wearing a classic black and white referee outfit.

Amity nodded and crossed her arms, her confident smile never leaving her face. "Got it."

Luz giggled and scratched her head. "Y- yup… Got it!"

"Then let's get ready to RUMBLE!" He shouted into the mic as he floated away on his carpet while the audience cheered and yearned for spilled blood.

Two loud dings sounded off, the start.

Amity wasted no time, drawing a circle near Luz's feet, throwing her off guard. "W- Woah! I didn't you could throw spell circles around like that!" She said, impressed with the Blight. Amity narrowed her eyes at the compliment before finishing the circle.

"Trust me, this won't be the only impressive thing you see tonight," Amity said, raising her arms upwards, "Abomination, rise." She said, the circle crackling with pink electricity as said goo monster began to rise from the ground, seemingly growing even larger than anticipated.

Luz took a step back as she watched the behemoth of an Abomination tower over her.

"Oh geez!" Luz exclaimed in surprise.

"Woah!" Amity said to herself, just as surprised as Luz. "Well? Show me what you got, human!" Amity called out, sneering at the word Human.

"I- I don't do good under pressure!" Luz called, dodging a giant sludge foot from stomping her into a pancake.

The abomination proceeds to twist its head off his body with a sickening squelch noise, lobbing it in a predetermined trajectory towards Luz. It nearly made its target, only causing Luz to fall flat forward. She quickly picked herself up and continued to run, making it all the way to the wall.

Eda watched her apprentice from the sidelines, of course.

"Come on Luz!" She shouted, "Remember what I taught you!" She said, watching her apprentice fall to the floor.

Luz succumbed to the floor, scrambling against the wall of the arena as hard as she could.

The giant abomination advanced, stomping its foot in front of Luz threateningly.

There was a sudden hissing at its foot.

Looking, Luz saw that one of Eda's Magic Mounds™ had been triggered, a giant pillar of fire shot out of the ground at high speeds, burning the abomination and making it stumble back, giving a gurgled groan of pain.

The entire stadium watched, impressed at the giant column of fire shooting through the roof.

"Did you SEE that folks! That has got to sting!" Lord Lovelace shouted, "The Human does know some spells after all!" He shouted, the crowd clapped at the comment, chanting Luz's name, or title, which so happened to be "Human".

"How did you do that!?" Amity yelled, tearing her eyes away from the fire. As far she knew, Luz hadn't known any fire spells… She also didn't see a Spell Circle… She was focused on controlling the abomination though…

Luz looked at the fire and back at Amity. "I, uh… Magic?" She said, unsurely as she gave Jazz hands with a, not at all convincing smile.

-Y- Meanwhile/earlier -Y-

King looked around, most of the Covention hall was basically empty, most if not all wanting to see the Witch's Duel. Perfect.

He quickly walked, making sure he wasn't being watched. He came upon a Covention stand. It was more like a sit-up, a giant dark purple tent with the Oracle Covens symbol at the very top. King took a few deep breaths before entering the tent. It was odd, the insides were nothing like the outsides. It was much more spacious than one would think.

The smell of incense wafted through the air, multiple Coven members crowded around Oracle balls while partners wrote down what they spoke, although King couldn't understand as they were speaking in Rune and glossolalia as well. There were also pillows strewn all over the place. As a matter a fact, the entire floor was made of pillows, he noticed.

Moving on, King went to the center of the tent and sat down on a giant pillow that also had a table in front of it with a giant crystal orb.

"Witch! I'm back! I did what you told me to! I got Luz and Amity to fight, now tell me what you know about my sister!" He shouted, looking around.

In a cloud of purple smoke, an older woman in identity obscuring robes appeared before King.

"Welcome back, prince…" She greeted, putting a fist over her chest like a small form of salute.

"Be quiet!" King shushed her. "No one can know the truth! Now! I did what you asked, I started the fight! Now tell me what I asked you early!" He crossed his arms and stood on the pillow, cutely, might I add.

The Oracle member nodded before leaning over her crystal ball.

"From our Coven head himself, Praescitum, he granted us this vision so that you may know the way to your destiny…" She said softly.

Her eyes suddenly glowed a dark and eerie purple as smoke within the crystal orb spun and begun to form images.

It first showed King standing defensively in front of someone, he had both horns in this image. "Reina…" King whispered, pressing his hand against the Orb.

"A young Prince defending his little sister from danger at the risk of his own life…" The Old woman spoke, but multiple voices spoke at the same time, echoing throughout the tent somehow. "The makings of a true king for his people…" She said as the image changed, His right horn missing and holding his sister securely in his arms, tears were flowing down his eyes it would seem as he ran.

"Burdened by the responsibility of the crown and the guilt of letting the danger harm his sister, the young prince fled to the nearby lands of the Boiling Isles, hiding from his family…" The image in the orb shifted to King hiding away on a boat, in a crate of food.

"…Where the young prince found a true friend in the midst of his struggles," The image yet again shifted to a young Eda, most likely in her 20s, as evident by the graying Orange hair. "Together, the prince and Owl became partners in crime and the best of companions…" The Orb flashed through several adventures he'd been on with Eda, even the most recent ones with Luz and the Owl Beast Eda.

"But alas, the young prince could not escape responsibility and his duty to the crown, years later, a messenger from the Demon Lands arrived at the Owl House, bringing news to claim his birthright! The Crown!" An image of a bone crown appeared in the Orb.

King's eyes widened in shock and recognition.

"Father's Crown…" He whispered to himself. "No one has worn it since Belos…" He closed his eyes, "Since Belos killed him..." Not wanting to think about it right now, he moved on.

"I know all of this already! Tell me what I need to do!" He said with a huff.

"The Crown, worn by countless generations of the Ri dynasty, to lead the Demon Lands to glory and prosperity…" The oracle continued, ignoring King's outburst. "But the young prince realizes that by taking the crown…"

"I'd have to leave my new friends and Family behind…" King finished.

"Correct, thus, the young prince sent word back of his refusal, not wanting the crown and claiming that his responsibility was to the Crown of the Isles, now… The young prince has to choose between his responsibility and duty to his home, nation, and family in the Demon lands… or the newfound family of the Boiling Isles.

The image finally shifted to show King at a crossroads. Luz, Eda, and even Hooty were at one end with the Owl House behind them, while the other end of the road showed his Mother, who was a great black-furred demoness that commanded entire droves of demons with her very voice and power. As well as his sister and extended family. His sister was holding the crown out towards him.

"What… What do I choose...?" King asked the Oracle.

"That, my prince, is for you to decide…" She said as she rose from her seat at the image disappeared and the Orb went dark. "You are needed elsewhere currently."

"What?" King's ear twitched as she heard Luz's scream as well as a crowd cheering. Looking back at the Oracle member, he asked, "Is Luz ok?" He asked, "I'll beast bomb Amity if I have to!"

"No, nothing like that, my shift is just done here." She said, removing her hood and shaking out her hair, and walking off.

King rolled his eyes.

"Witches..." He said disgruntledly, before getting up and dashing away, he grabbed multiple sets of clothing and hats as well as armbands, offerings, so that no one could question his whereabouts.

-Y- Back to the Duel -Y-

"AMITY, I'M JUST SAYING THIS FEELS EXTREME!" Luz shouted dodging a second gooey head. "Killing me will surely not be good for you!"

"Who said I was trying to kill you?" Amity asked, "It'd just be a… happy accident!" She said with a hearty laugh.

The abomination then stepped forward and stepped on another magic mound. This time, both abomination and Amity were picked up by a mad whirlwind, sending them up into the highest parts of the arena. Amity yelped as she was thrown back to the wall. The abomination landed with a thud on its back. Amity landed a tad bit more gracefully, skidding to a stop.

"I- I saw you that time! You didn't use your hands! What's your deal?" Amity shouted at Luz.

"Not dying!" Luz shouted from across the arena.

Amity scowled, pointing her arms at Luz, the Abomination rose from the ground and started to run towards the Princess at phenomenal speeds, lifting a fist to punch Luz. It was too fast, she could never get out of the way in time.

Suddenly, the world began to slow around Luz. She saw the fist sailing towards her super slow… She quickly moved to the side and time returned to a normal pace.

"Woah!" She said, impressed with herself, "What was that?"

"What the!" Amity's eyes widened. "How are you moving so fast?!" Amity asked as she made the abomination swing its fist again, same story, Luz avoided it. This went on for several seconds before Luz unintentionally led the goo monster to another mound. The ground under the Abomination exploded, successfully dispelling the creature for the moment. Luz was currently exhausted sitting on the floor, looking where the Abomination was now quickly reforming.

"So I just tapped into something cool, I guess, that's great, lovely even. Spectacular if you're so inclined," Luz said as she heard footsteps advancing towards her, looking, she saw a rather angry Amity.

"How in Titan's name are you doing that!?" She shouted.

Luz was taking deep breaths, looking down, she saw Amity was walking straight for a Magic Mound.

"NO, Amity! Don't step any closer!" Luz warned.

Amity looked down where she was going to step and scowled at Luz.

"Why, Luz?" She challenged, "What happens if I step closer?" She threatened to step closer.

"Don't!" Luz shot her hand forward, a force knocked Amity backward, just in time as King fell in from the stands, an entire set of Spikes protruded from the ground under King.

"Spikes!?" Luz shouted/asked Eda, who gave Luz both thumbs up with a gawking smile.

King looked down and saw that the spikes had only pierced his offerings, basically saving him as well.

"Oh thank Mother…" He said with a sigh, he attempted to free himself to no success.

"I knew it! You were cheating!" Amity shouted, pointing at Luz while Lilith walked up next to Amity.

"Amity, no! It isn't like that!" Luz attempted to explain but was at a loss for words.

Lilith landed next to the trap and poked one of the spikes, it crumbled back into sand at her touch.

"Oh, Eda, I do believe this means you lose." She said with a smug look on her face.

Eda gritted her teeth and crossed her arms at her sister. "No fair…"

Luz rolled her eyes, sisters…She was glad that she didn't have any Siblings.

"Look, Amity, it wasn't my idea to cheat and when I found out, I tried to stop it but-"

"Ugh, who could believe anything you say? Have fun not using Magic..." Not caring to hear anything else from Luz. She turned around, planning to exit the arena dramatically when something caught Eda's eyes.

"Wait just a sec, Ms. Protege!" Eda advanced towards Amity, pushing her hair out of the way, Eda revealed a construction coven glyph stamp.

"Hey! What are you-" Amity was ready to cast a fireball when Eda suddenly removed the stamp, Amity watched as her reformed abomination began to shrink to a rather small size than the towering form it had only seconds before.

"A power glyph from the Construction Coven!" Eda announced to the audience. There was a collective gasp throughout, surprised that Amity would even consider cheating.

Several students even seemed to be heartbroken at the idea.

Eda was now gloating and making fun of her sister for cheating all the while laughing.

"B- But, I- I didn't know!" She shouted at no one in particular, looking as if she was going to have a breakdown from the circumstances. She decided anywhere was better than here at the moment.

"Amity, wait!" Luz attempted to reach out to her.

"Luz! Help me!" King called out as he was still struggling on the spikes. Luz went over and tore him off the set of spikes.

In Amity's overemotional state, she failed to notice where she was running. Tears clouding her vision as she accidentally stepped on a magic mound. It exploded in front of her, she yelped as she stumbled backward and stepped on another mound. This one-shot her in the air to the very high ceiling, she started to fall. Amity screamed.

"Amity!" Luz called as she ran forward looking up with King at her side. Luz looked around and saw that Eda and Lilith were too busy having their own fight to do anything, looking around, the Illusion Coven Head was busy signing autographs and cracking jokes with fans. Still running, she saw she wouldn't even reach Amity's vicinity to make a difference.

"NO!" Luz's eyes suddenly glowed golden once again, something she hasn't done since the forest incident with Adegast. Her arm shot towards Amity.

Suddenly, her descent was cut abruptly short, she was now coated in golden magic. Amity panted in fear and looked all around her, looking down she saw Luz, her arm outstretched, and eyes were glowing golden. "L- Luz?" Amity's eyes widened as she realized that this was Luz's magic. The audience all quieted down and watched the scene unfold with great interest, several Smart Scrolls beginning to record the scene.

Luz walked forward, carefully lowering Amity back onto the arena floor. Luz was amazed that she was still holding onto Amity with such focus… Although, she couldn't exactly control herself at the moment…

'Maybe that's what this is? A super focus or something…?' Luz thought to herself as she carefully placed Amity onto the floor. Luz then crouched in front of Amity.

"Are you… OK?" Luz asked, slowly but her voice seemed to echo with power as if multiple voices overlapped.

Amity was speechless, she hadn't expected the Princess to suddenly unlock a super form of sorts. She couldn't imagine Luz using this against her moments ago, she would definitely lose then.

"I, uh, I'm fine… Ah!" Amity hissed as she lifted her leg and saw that she was singed and bleeding. "Well not as fine as I'd like to be… I think it's broken..."

"I… Got it…" Luz's hand glowed with golden light, she touched Amity's leg. The leg glowed brightly before the damage was healed. Amity's eyes widened at the sight of high-level healing magic at work.

"W- Wow… I didn't know you could do that…" She said as she carefully stood up with Luz's help, taking a few test steps and confirming that it was healed...

"Neither… did I…" Luz's golden glow died down as her vision became blurry. "Oh boy, here comes… unconsciousness…" Her vision became dark and she fell forward into Amity's arms.

Luz could barely hear the things happening around her, she heard Amity… Calling her name? Eda and Lilith running over and shouting something… Luz sighed as she fully lost consciousness again.

Luz groaned, rising from her bed a slight soreness.

"Oh, everything hurts…" She said as she looked around. "Where...?"

Taking in her surroundings, Luz noticed the multiple Boiling Isles medical tools strewn around her, to her left, she was next to an open window with the sunlight shining in.

"Oh, nice… I guess I'm in the medical wing again," she looked to her left and was surprised to see Amity, dressed in casual clothes and asleep in the chair next to her, arms crossed and lightly snoring. Luz blushed.

"Did she… stay here while I was… Asleep?" Luz asked herself as she shook her head clear of her thoughts before sitting up, she reached up and shook Amity's shoulder. "Amity, Amity wake up."

Amity snorted as she jolted awake and looked towards.

"Oh! You're awake!" She said as she stood up from her chair, lightly stretching. "Are you alright?"

"I, uhm… I'm fine, how uh, how long have you been waiting for me to wake up?" Luz asked.

"Well, it's Wednesday…" Amity said silently.

"Alright…"

"The Duel was on Monday…"

"WHAT!?" Luz screamed out, suddenly sitting up.

"Yeah, after that glowing eye thing you did to make sure I wouldn't go splat on the ground, you've been under ever since. Lady Hele wants to question you on your condition! I'll go get her right now." Amity turned to leave but Luz grabbed her arm.

"Amity wait!" Luz stopped her.

"Hm? What is it?" She asked.

"Well," She let her go, "I wanted to apologize for cheating at the Witches Duel… I swear I didn't know! Eda dropped it on me seconds before the duel," Luz said, clapping her hands together and bowing her head. "I totally understand if you wanna lock away my magic cause of it and-"

"Luz!" Amity interrupted, "You can relax, you can keep your magic considering I unknowingly cheated too…" She looked down before taking a deep breath. "Can't believe two days was still not enough prep for this…" She sighed, "Luz, I was wrong!" She said quickly, squeezing her eyes shut and clenching her fists tightly, even clenching her teeth.

"I guess you CAN and WILL be a good witch one day, especially after healing my leg and… Saving my life…" Amity mumbled, reaching over, and grabbing Luz's wrist. The everlasting oath appeared, glowing brightly before disappearing. "The oath is unbound…" She said softly before releasing her wrist.

Luz rubbed her wrist before looking back at Amity. "Amity… I, uh… Thank you… Hehe, I appreciate it… Thank you for staying by my side too, didn't know you cared for me like that!" Luz said with a laugh.

Amity blushed brightly, basically turning into a tomato before crossing her arms and turning away from Luz, her back towards her.

"HM! I don't! I just wanted to be here when you woke up! I couldn't undo the Oath while you are asleep! I tried…" She mumbled to herself, turning back to Luz. "Get better Princess, I expect a rematch eventually."

"What!? I thought that we were all good and all that?" Luz asked.

"We are… But that Dual was rigged, maybe when you've learned more, we can have proper dual, and we can find out who's the REAL better witch!" Amity said, walking out of the room with a laugh.

Luz sighed as she laid back down on the bed and closed her eyes.

"Great… Can't wait…" She said, a smile uncontrollably plastered on her face at the thought of seeing Amity later.

"Wait," She sat up again, "What happened to Eda and Lilith?"

"This is still totally your fault, sister," Eda said, swinging her shovel over her shoulder.

"How was I supposed to know Emperor Belos was watching?" Lilith asked as she took a break, stabbing her shovel into the ground and leaning against it.

"Well, if you HAD known, The Emperor's wife wouldn't have sentenced us to clean the Pegasus stables without our magic!" She said, shoveling more flying horse manure into a wheelbarrow. While yes, the Manure would be brought to the farmers of the Isle's, they still didn't want to do this.

"Still not my fault, technically it's both of ours and-"

"Hey!" Kikimora interrupted, "No talking, keep shoveling! The Empress was clear till the end of this week!" She said.

The sisters collectively groaned and went back to shoveling the manure into magic wheelbarrows. They mumbled insults at each other as they worked well into the night.
