"Yusei!"
Whipping around, I saw Yunagi, Tanner, the twins and their friend gathered next to where my runner had stopped. Tanner hollered over to me, "We need to get out of here! The media will eat you up alive with all the crazy stuff that happened!"
I rushed towards, them , "Good point, but I need to-"
Aki ran up, her duel disk on her arm, and my tools in her hands, "I figured that we were leaving fast."
Tanner waved his hand, and we rounded the corner just as I saw the fence holding back the media fall over. He led us to a well concealed door, and we all darted inside. With surprising ease, he closed the door silently behind us.
Luckily for us, the passage was sloped downwards rather than being stairs. So getting Justice down was a breeze, and we soon found ourselves in a large tunnel. Tanner took my runner from me, and took the lead, "Blister told me about this tunnel. It was made when the Arena was, but no one uses it anymore or knows about it."
I nodded, impressed, examining the walls around us, "So no one will know where we went. I take it that we are going to stay at Blister's hideout since it blocks markers?"
Yunagi bounced along by my side, "That's the plan!"
"Okay, well, I think that only Dexter should go home, since the Securities will be looking for the rest of us. Sorry about that Dexter."
Dexter beamed up at me, "Don't worry about it! I got to go through a super secret tunnel! Not only that, but I get to be a spy. I'm the only one who's going to know where your hideout is!"
Most of the adults got a chuckle out of that, and I looked at the twins, "Is that alright with you two?"
Leo nodded, "This will be like an extreme sleepover! And this time I won't be the only guy!"
All of us started laughing, except Luna, who clearly had something on her mind. I started walking next to her, "What's the matter Luna?"
"Somehow I saw your duel, and during it, the Satellite..."
I crouched next to her, "I promise that I will do everything I can to prevent it."
Her tiny arms wrapped around my torso, "Thanks. Yusei, do you know why we got these marks?"
"Yeah, I'll explain when we get to the hideout. It's complicated."
We all stood around Yunagi as he drew the Crimson Dragon's mark on a piece of paper, "Keep in mind it has been years since I saw it, and I'm no artist."
Once the entire sketch was finished, I examined it, and found the closest thing to my mark, "The tail looks likes like the one on my arm."
Luna held out her arm, "Mine looks like the foot thing near the head."
Aki slowly pulled off her glove, "And mine looks like the one near the tail."
I looked at the two other girls, "Are either of you good at art?"
Both of them shook their head, and I flipped over the paper, fixing our marks so it looked more realistic, "Okay, then who is the one with the head? If the dragon teleported us, then the fifth Signer had to be near, right?"
Yunagi nodded, "They would've had to be in the Arena with the rest of you."
All of us nearly lost our hearing when Leo perked up, "Maybe it's me! Maybe I'm the fifth Signer!"
He started frantically lifting up his shirt and scratching his arms to find a mark on himself. I shook my head, before realising that someone was about to faint.
I turned around, and saw Luna swaying slightly. Rushing to her side, I caught her just before she toppled over, "You okay, Luna?"
She sleepily blinked her eyes before mumbling, "I'm just a little tired."
Shifting her weight in my arms, I smiled down at her, "It's been a long, exhausting day. I'll take you to the room that the two of you are sharing."
My heart melted as she curled closer to me, and I carried her to the twins' room, "It's okay. You can go to sleep. We'll be here in the morning."
When I returned to the main room, the guys had wandered off with Leo, likely to the kitchen if the echoes of Leo's voice were any indication. Aki was sitting on the couch with a first aid kit, "Jack wasn't the only one hurt, Yusei. I asked the guys to leave so we could make sure nothing was too bad."
I sat down next to her, and pulled off my shirt, revealing the bandages underneath, "Go for it. I honestly think that it was mostly spiritual or bruises."
After a few painful moments of poking, and Aki teasing me about my makeshift bra, we confirmed that there were no open injuries or breaks that we could find. However, even I had to admit that we wouldn't know for sure without a doctor visit.
Opening up Justice's seat, I got out two sets of clean clothes, and held out some to Aki, "I wish that I had nicer clothes to offer you for the night, but this is all I have."
Her shock was easily apparent, "Are you sure?"
"Yeah, we can wash our current clothes now, and they should be ready for tomorrow. It's what I've been doing since I came to the city."
Now that I have access to clean water, but that's a conversation for another day.
We both got changed, and then took over the bathroom to clean our clothes.
It was really fun to teach Aki my way of washing clothing, and we hung our clothes out to dry in the main area. She retired to the room that I was sharing with her, and I stayed out to fix Justice.
