Sacramento Food Bank. Sacramento. Province of Angeles. 2 months into the selection.

Peter had to admit that he was a bit surprised when Selina Zhou wanted to volunteer at a local food bank for her solo date with her King. However, the surprise was a welcome one. He and Trayvon had done their fair share of volunteering back on their high school days and it made him feel like he was actually contributing as opposed to just wearing a crown.

"Thanks for doing this." Selina said as she prepared a plate of food.

"It's no problem, I actually used to volunteer at soup kitchens when I was in college." Peter replied as he he stocked shelves with non perishable food items.

"Seriously?" Selina asked, feeling pleasantly surprised.

"Yep, it was required for my political science degree that I put in a certain number of hours for community service." Peter explained.

"Did you like it?" She inquired as she turned to face her sovereign.

"I did actually, it gave me a sense of purpose. You know, like I was actually doing something meaningful." He admitted as he faced her in return.

"I know what you mean." Selina said as she kept on dishing out the food for those less fortunate.

"It was a lot easier than trying to run a country, that is for damn sure." Peter teased as he stocked more food on trays.

"Have you heard from your brother recently?" Selina inquired awkwardly as she turned to face her king. "He told me that you had sent him on a mission to Midston in an attempt to negotiate with the rebels." Peter was a bit taken aback that Trayvon had confided such sensitive information in a selected, but decided to brush it off.

"He told you about that?" Peter inquired. "He should be meeting with a representative of the radical right rebels any day now. It took a while to get proper security and then to actually convince the rebels to agree to a meeting."

"Do you suppose that his Grace will have any success in negotiating with them?" Selina asked, fearing for the baron's safety.

"I don't know, if I'm being completely honest." Peter confessed as he took a deep breath. "My brother has always had a gift for talking his way out of sticky situations. I always thought that one day, his luck might run out. I can only hope and pray that day has not yet come." Miss Zhou nodded as she continued her to scoop food for the less fortunate people of the capital. She was very afraid for the Baron of Yonkers. Now that he has feelings for her and her for him, it simply would not be fair for him to be killed by the far right insurrectionists.

New Orleans, Province of Midston. A few days later.

Baron Trayvon tried desperately to keep himself cool, calm, and collected as he was transported to the rebel headquarters in the Crescent city. After many hours of negotiations, he was taken to the Superdome where representatives of the rebellion were waiting for him.

"Your Grace, what in God's name are you doing here?" General Evers inquired as Trayvon stepped forward.

"I could ask the same thing of you." The Baron shot back. "Woe to you, you unhappy people! How can you take up arms against your king, your sovereign lord?"

"The King has betrayed us and is forcing his ultra liberal agenda on us!" Captain Forbes declared. "He forces the clergy to submit their sermons, he has declared the Illèan Conservative party a terrorist organization and he has levied unfair taxes upon us!"

"That was not his majesty's doing, those things were the work of Quince Bush: the King's Prime Minister." Trayvon argued, trying to shift some of the blame off of Peter. "However, even if they had been his majesty's works, true subjects would never engage in such outrageous rebellion!"

"Please your Grace, you must understand our grievances." Miss Aske begged as she stepped forward to meet the King's brother. "There are a great many of us who still believe and love the King, but we have seen no other option available to us other than to take a stand for our right to believe in the ideology of conservatism."

"I beg you, for the good of our country to give peaceful and lawful discord one more chance." Trayvon pleaded. "If you could send a representative of your cause to return with me to the capital, I could secure an audience with his majesty, King Peter, first of his name. I am sure that he would be willing to listen to your grievances and complaints."

"I am just as sure that he would arrest whoever we sent as soon as they got off the plane." The general scoffed.

"They would be under my protection, I swear it!" The Baron of Yonkers vowed.

"Then I shall go with you and plead our cause to his majesty." Aske declared as the men turned to her.

"Christa, are you sure?" The captain asked, fearing for her safety. "You are putting your life in great peril."

"If there is a chance that we can achieve our goals through peaceful and legal means, I owe it to myself and to our brothers and sisters in arms to take it." She declared passionately.
