Queenshipping (Vivian Wong x Miho Nosaka)

((using anime Miho because I love her 3))

. . .

Miho hummed to herself as she flicked through the clothes on the rack. There were so many cute things! Too bad Anzu hadn't been able to come along today. Shopping alone was no fun at all. Even Honda-kun had been busy! He was never busy for her.

She pouted for a moment. She liked having Honda around when she shopped. He always told her she looked cute when she tried things on. He was always so nice to her. Unlike all those stupid heads back in middle school that made fun of her and told her she was ugly...told her that she was dumb and stupid and wouldn't ever be anything more than a trophy wife if she even managed that at all—

She stopped her thoughts in her tracks, suddenly realizing that she was gripping the clothes so tightly that her fingers were almost ripping through them. She dropped them quickly. Unbidden tears had jumped to her eyes with the thoughts and she rubbed at them angrily. This is why she didn't like to be alone when she shopped. She started having nasty thoughts.

She moved to the next rack, trying to distract herself. Oooh, what a cute green top! She would try that on with the white shorts. It was almost beach season after all! She couldn't wait to go to the beach with everyone from school. Anzu had been talking about planning a trip there for a while and Miho was so excited! She had never been to the beach with friends before.

She started to hum again, moving towards the dressing room. That's right, think about the nice things. That was the best way to go through life. Even if people called you dumb and stupid for it...

Bump—

"Oh, oops!" Miho said, as she glanced across someone. "Miho didn't see you there, Miho is sorry—"

"Oh my god, Nosaka? Is that you?"

Miho blinked. She looked up—the boy towered a full head over her, with floppy red hair that had obviously been overbleached and overdyed. It fell thickly over his right eye, the other hazel-amber eye looking down lazily at her. Miho's eyes widened.

"...Kenta-kun?"

The boy flashed her a lazy smile and Miho almostshrank back.

"Yup. It's me. Damn, girl, been a while since I've seen you. You moved away after middle school. Going to Domino?"

"Y-yes," Miho said. She faked a cheerful smile. "Good to see you again, Kenta-kun!"

"Yeah, you too...you really grew up didn't ya?"

He laughed, nudging her with his elbow. The touch sent an uncomfortable tingle down her arm and she took a half step back.

"Well, Miho wouldn't want to keep you, so..."

"Oh my god, you're still doing that talking in the third person thing? I guess you only grew up halfway, huh?"

"Kenta-kun, Miho would like to—"

"Hey, hey, it's okay," Kenta said, reaching out to drape his arm over his shoulder. "We were all pretty dumb in middle school. It doesn't matter to me if you like to do the cutesy thing. I mean, guys don't really like girls that are too smart, ya know?"

"P-please don't touch Miho—"

"Oh, come on, Miho-chan. Lemme take you out. Just one night. You've gotten super cute, you know? And I—"

"Excuse me, but I think she's already made herself perfectly clear."

The voice was crisp and sharp, a somewhat heavy Chinese accent in some of the vowels. Miho and Kenta both looked up.

She was an older woman, maybe in her twenties, curvy and gorgeous. Her dark hair had been rolled up into two buns with the extra length allowed to drape down her shoulders. Her short yellow dress hugged her features closely, a shimmery material designed with pink and red flowers and black stems and leaves. Hazel eyes sparked out from a slender Chinese face. She looked kind of familiar...had Miho seen her on television.

"And you're...?"

And then Miho remembered where she had seen that face; from the livestream of the KC Grand Prix in America.

"Oh!" Miho said. "Miho recognizes you...you're Vivian Wong, right?"

The woman winked, smiling with perfect red lips.

"One and only," she said. "Are you a fan?"

"Miho...Miho heard about you from Yugi-kun."

Vivian's eyebrows raised.

"You're a friend of Mutou Yugi?"

"Y-yes."

Kenta's eyes widened too as he glanced down at Miho.

"You know Mutou Yugi? Damn, well I guess he does go to your school, doesn't he? Didn't think you of all people would be friends with him...maybe you can introduce me—"

"I don't think she will be doing any such thing," Vivian announced, grabbing the boy's arm and practically yanking it off of Miho's shoulder. "You're making her uncomfortable."

"What? I'm not. We're friends, right, Miho?"

Miho hesitated. But with the fiery personality of that woman beside her, she wasn't quite so scared anymore.

"Not really," she said. "We're not really friends..."

Kenta frowned. But before he could say anything, Vivian was pushing him away.

"There, you heard her; you're making her uncomfortable and you should go."

"B-but I—"

"GO!"

She had quite the commanding presence, and Kenta just looked dumbfounded as she herded him from the shop. When he was gone, she dusted her hands off against each other.

"Whew," she said. "I hate persistent men. You okay, hun?"

Miho ducked her head, blushing.

"Yes...thank you, miss," she said.

Vivian sent Miho a dazzling smile.

"Well, we girls have to look out for each other, don't we? Are you a fan of Duel Monsters?"

"Miho just watches the tournaments her friends are in. Miho likes Capsule Monsters..."

"Fair enough!" Vivian said with a laugh. "Well, it was a pleasure to meet you..."

She paused for a name.

"I'm Miho...Nosaka Miho."

"Miho-chan," Vivian said, nodding. "Will you say hi to Yugi-kun for me?"

"Y-yes! Of course!"

"Thanks...oh, by the way, were you going to try those on?"

She pointed at the clothes that Miho was still holding. Miho glanced down at them and blushed.

"Yes..."

Vivian grinned.

"You'll look totally cute."

She ruffled Miho's hair, then turned and walked away with a wave.

"Have a good summer, okay? Maybe we'll see each other again."

Miho felt her blush increasing as the woman slipped out the doors, the bells ringing behind her. Miho clutched the clothes to her chest.

Then she broke out into another burst of humming, skipping towards the dressing room.

Today was a good day.
