Ponytailshipping (Marik x Yami no Bakura x Otogi)
He juggled his dice absently in one hand, staring out through the windows to Domino City, a sea of lights in the darkness that floated lazily away beneath the blimp. He yawned slightly. How late was it, anyway?
Otogi glanced down the hallway. It was empty, except for him. He wasn't even really sure what he was doing here. He didn't really like Duel Monsters. He thought briefly about Yugi, then Shizuka, and couldn't decide which one he was here for. He was Yugi's friend, and wanted to support him. But Shizuka was certainly a pretty girl, and leaving her alone with Honda would probably kill any chance he had.
He continued to toss the pair of dice up, one at a time, catching the falling on in one hand just after he threw the other. He sighed. Well, it wouldn't be too long before this tournament got started already.
He heard the squeak of sneakers somewhere down the hallway. He glanced up, peering into the dark shadows at the end of the corridor. He could just make out the forms of Namu and Bakura. Huh. What were they doing down here?
"And I'm telling you that you are forgetting who's in charge here," he heard Namu say.
Otogi's brow furrowed. He hadn't really talked to Namu before, but that tone of his didn't seem like him. Too angry.
"You do not decide how or when I win," Bakura said. Again, the voice seemed...different. Almost deeper, even.
Namu stopped, and glared at Bakura.
"Ana swf yqtlk ywma ma," he said under his breath.
"I do understand Arabic, you know," Bakura said, half smirking.
And then the white-haired boy's eyes fell on Otogi, and for a second, Otogi thought Bakura's eyes were purple. But then they were their normal, bright green again. It must have been the light.
"Hey," Otogi said, nodding. He flicked his ponytail off of his shoulder.
Namu blinked, and his eyes darted to Otogi. He smiled that rather bland smile of his that Otogi had noticed the first time he had seen him.
"Oh, hello," he said. "I didn't see you there."
"I figured," Otogi said. "Whatcha up to?"
Namu shrugged.
"Just talking to Bakura-san."
"Huh. Tournament going to start soon?"
"In about five minutes. We're headed to the room now."
Otogi nodded.
"I'll come with you, then," he said, leaning back off of the railing.
"All right," Namu said, smiling again.
It really was a bland smile. Like he didn't really mean it.
Bakura was being strangely quiet. As they continued down the hall, Otogi snuck a side-long glance at him.
His eyes were a deep purple – and there was an expression in them that looked nothing like Ryo's face.
Bakura caught Otogi's glance. Otogi looked hurriedly away. He got the feeling that he shouldn't be here. And he wasn't liking the fact that he had somehow ended up walking in between them.
I've got to tell Yugi and the others that something's up about these two, he said. If I make it to the end of this hallway alive...
A/N: Okay, cool, another hole patched up. Next is finally Pompshipping (Seto x Miho).
