Epilogue
Ugh, what happened? Where am I?
Ocho was on some sort of beach facing the ocean. It was the middle of the night and there were no dragons in sight.
Wasn't I just in the caves? Wasn't I about to attack my father and protect my little brother? What on earth did Dredge do to me? I was in the caves one moment and now I am on the surface.
Ocho wondered how Dredge did this to her? Did he teleport her to the surface? If that's the case then she can just fly back into the caves and back to her brother. She got up off the ground and took to the skies. But what Ocho saw wasn't what she expected.
Where am I? She wondered as she flew across the ground that seemed to be dry. It seemed like there were trees around the ground but not as many as she suspected to see.
Where am I? She wondered again. This surface doesn't look like Petonix, what did Dredge do to me?
And then her question was answered when she flew over a hill and saw a massive structure reaching into the sky. It looked to be made out of wood but the wood was in a weird shape and color, almost like it wasn't really wood at all. But Ocho saw what interested her the most.
Dragons. Hundreds of them, flying in and out of this structure. There were dragons with two wings and four wings but what caught her eye were their colored scales. They weren't gray like Webwings, rough like Cavewings, and none of them had curved horns or sharp wings like Drillwings. Instead the ones with four wings had yellow scales with some black scales throughout. The other ones with four wings had scales all over the color pallet, from brown, to blue, to green, to purple, everything. And the dragons with two wings were shades of green and their wings shaped like the leaves off of the trees.
Where did Dredge teleport me to? Ocho thought.
All of a sudden, Ocho heard a thud behind her. She spun around and there were two dragons looking at her. One had very blue scales that matched along his body and to his four wings. The other one had yellow scales but also had spectacles in front of her eyes.
"No need to be afraid, we aren't going to hurt you" the blue dragon said.
That would be reassuring to Ocho, only if the yellow dragon wasn't bouncing up and down like a dragonet who just got their favorite food.
"Oh my, BLUE LOOK AT HER! LOOK AT HER SCALES! YOU SEE HER WIGNS? SHE LOOKS AMAZING!"
"I know Cricket," the one named Blue said. "Hello dragon, I am Blue and she is Cricket."
"Hi, Hi!" Cricket said. "Can you please tell me what are you? Are you a Nightwing-Hivewing hybrid? I mean you have four wings and you have gray scales. Or are you a Hivewing with complete gray scales and no yellow scales? That would be so cool to see. Sorry, sorry I get jumpy sometimes," she said as she noticed Blue shaking her out of her thoughts.
"Sorry about that," Blue said. "Cricket loves to ask questions, I promise you'll get used to it. I do wonder though, what type of dragon are you?"
"First off, where am I? Ocho asked.
"Oh yeah sorry, this must be much for you," Blue said. "You are at Pantala, the land across the sea."
There is another continent other than Petonix? With different dragon tribes? Hmm, I wonder what else can be out in the sea.
"Ok, I am Ocho, a Webwing from Petonix, I don't know how I got here."
"It's okay, well help you figure it out," Blue said but Ocho saw Cricket was bouncing up and down again.
"A NEW CONTINENT BLUE! DID YOU HEAR HER? A NEW CONTINENT! ISN'T THAT AMAZING? AND A NEW DRAGON TRIBE! We have to tell the Pyrrhia dragons, they will be so amazed!"
"Hang on Cricket, one thing at a time," Blue said. "Ocho, you said you were from a continent called Petonix."
"Yes," Ocho said.
"Are there other dragon tribes there?" Blue asked. He looked scared for some reason but Ocho couldn't figure out why.
Maybe this is it. If I am able to get these Pantala and Pyrrhia dragons to help me out, I could get back home. And they may be able to help us out in ending the war between our tribes. It's worth a shot.
"Yes there are," Ocho said. "And we all need your help."
