Mintshipping (Esper Roba x Haga)
"You're being dumb."
"Shut the hell up."
Roba just raised an eyebrow at the sulky boy with the thick yellow glasses.
"Look, just take the stupid ice cream; they messed up the order and Ryori hates mint. I know you like it."
"Stop lying, they didn't mess up your order, you're just saying that to have an excuse to give it to me."
Roba rolled his eyes, but it was true. He didn't think Haga would take his charity otherwise.
It was a nice spring day in the park, but despite the sun and the breeze, Haga was still sulking. It probably had to do with all the other people running around with Duel Disks and locator cards while Haga was stuck sitting on a low stone wall and just watching the duels.
"You know, I lost my duel too," Roba said, still holding out the mint ice cream.
"You deserved to lose with that stupid ESP trick of yours."
"Oh, and you stealing your opponent's deck and planting a card in it doesn't make you deserve to lose? Geez, Haga-kun, if you can't even win while cheating I don't think you should have been in this tournament in the first place."
Haga glared furiously at Roba. Roba just looked blandly back. It had been several years since he had seen Haga, when they were in middle school before Roba had transferred. He was still the same as ever: sulky when he lost, always justifying cheating just for the sake of winning, and completely unwilling to accept pity from people.
The ice cream was melting in Roba's hand, and the last thing he wanted was mint chocolate chip all over his fingers.
"Haga-kun," Roba said. "You lost. Get over it. Now I am offering you free ice cream, so take it before I drop it in a trash can."
Haga glared again, but he faltered. Roba had to suppress his grin. He knew Haga couldn't resist mint ice cream for long.
"Fine," Haga said, taking the ice cream cone. "But it's just because I'd hate to see it get wasted. Not because you're giving it to me."
"Whatever makes you feel better," Roba said, licking at his own strawberry cone.
Haga snorted, but didn't retort. Roba hid his smile.
A/N: Sorry about the problem with a few chapters before...I don't know what happened. I think the copy-n-paste function was freaking out on me again. Anyway...this was boring. I don't really care about these two, much less care about them when they're together. Especially because Roba doesn't have nearly enough development for me to do anything with them, so I had to make up a backstory between Haga and Roba. I can see them going to middle school together, can't you? Next is Minorshipping (Otogi x Ryo).
