Megan sat on the couch, a little worried. The stars were out in full overhead, and Roll had convinced her dad to get some sleep. Megan, on the other hand couldn't. Robots didn't need sleep and frankly, even if she wasn't, there was no way she could ever get to sleep. She had been sitting on the couch for ages, just staring. Tomorrow she hoped that she could find and defeat the rest of the Robot Masters. Even though she had been repaired, that was lot to think about. Also, where was Blues? It was like he had vanished between the time he had given her information and when she woke up. Nobody had said anything though. Was this one of Blues' old habits? Disappearing with his own agenda? Megan lay down on the couch, not that she could sleep.
What about Jazzie? Blues had been a robot, did Jazzie know? And why hadn't she heard anything from her since her birthday party? That party seemed like a millennia ago. Megan sighed, so many questions, and not nearly enough answers. Even more, new unanswered questions raced through her mind. What was Bass' deal anyways? And who was Wily really? She knew he was bad, she knew he was crazy, but who was he really? Megan cycled through her various weapons, looking at the different colors. She then went back to her default one, her colors plain and silvery. She stood up, she was going stir-crazy here! She needed to do something before any more questions appeared in her head. She walked towards her dad's lab. Rush whined as she opened the door. Megan gave him a smile.
"Hey there, boy. I'm just going to give myself a paint job." she whispered. Rush awkwardly stood up, tail wagging. Megan smiled, and started rummaging in the paint cupboard. She found one full white can, and several other half full ones. Megan smiled, she had an idea.
Later, her silver colors had been turned to a pearly white, and turquoise. They shone with newness, and excitement. Megan smiled, now she was really ready. Rush gave a feeble bark. Megan turned around, Rush's tail was wagging. A second person was in the lab too. Megan's dad. Megan looked at the floor, letting guilt catch up with her.
"I'm sorry I-" she started.
"You look fine, Megan, great actually." Megan's dad said, cutting her off. Megan's face lit up.
"Really?" she asked. Her dad nodded.
"You look ready." he said. Megan ran up, about to give her dad a hug, stopping herself just in time.
"The paint's still wet." Megan said sheepishly. Megan's dad smiled.
"I understand." he said. He gave Rush a pat.
"I couldn't sleep, I guess you couldn't either." Megan's dad said. Megan looked at the floor.
"There's so many questions, and I don't have even half the answers, everything seems just so, different right now." she explained.
"Do you want to ask any of those questions?" Megan's dad asked. Megan nodded.
"Just one right now, who was Dr. Wily?" she asked. Megan's dad gave a sigh.
"Now that's a story. Dr. Wily used to be a friend of Dr. Light, well, Grandpa. I even trusted him for a while. Then, the day after the first six Robot Masters were revealed, he reprogrammed them and weaponized them. That's when I choose to become Mega Man. I battled the Robot Masters and finally got to Dr. Wily. He wanted to destroy me, and his attacks after that were more than wanting to conquer the world, they were to get back at me. The Robot Masters were all built to beat me, and I still won. Finally, Wily built Bass. He was strong, but I still managed to win. He kept coming back though, even after the robot ban. Now that I know Wily's gone, I don't know what to think. On one hand I'm glad he won't attack any more, on the other, I wish he could have been set straight." Megan's dad looked at her with sad eyes. "Dr. Light always thought he could." he whispered. Megan nodded.
"Do you think, Dr. Regis could?" she asked. Megan's dad smiled.
"I hope so. I really hope so."
