Mastershipping (Seto x Otogi)
"I feel like an idiot."
"You were the one that wanted to lay low. I'm just trying to help."
Seto Kaiba scowled – or in other words, looked the same as usual. Ryuji Otogi rolled his eyes.
They stood in the toy aisle of the department store, sandwiched between Lego sets and My Little Pony boxes, which for some reason had been shoved into the same aisle. That wasn't the real reason why Kaiba was in a foul mood, though. No, the culprit for that was the outfit that Otogi had lent him: a black tank top and skinny jeans with a large black cap that hung low over Kaiba's eyes. He shifted uncomfortably as he looked across at the toy sets.
"Oh, come on, Kaiba," Otogi said. "I can't believe that you actually have anxiety issues because you're not wearing your jacket."
"I do not have anxiety issues. And for the last time, don't call me that right now."
Otogi rolled his eyes again. Kaiba was trying his absolute hardest to avoid the media right now. The announcement that he was working with Pegasus and Industrial Illusions to establish the world's first Duel Academia had caused the CEO to basically retreat into his office without coming out for air for weeks. The only reason he was outside now...
"Dammit, I don't know," Kaiba growled, putting down another Lego set. "He said he likes Lego sets...but what kind of Legos? There's a billion different kinds. I don't get it."
"Well, what kind of stuff does Mokuba usually like?"
Kaiba grimaced, and didn't answer. Otogi raised an eyebrow.
"Don't tell me. You don't know what your brother likes."
"I have been trying to run a company," Kaiba said, through gritted teeth.
"I do that too, you know, and I still know what my friends want for their birthdays. You're telling me you don't even know what your brother wants for his?"
"Shut up."
Otogi couldn't suppress a grin. Kaiba was really out of his element right now, and it was hilarious. If only the media could see him now – luckily for Kaiba, nobody gave him a second glance, though. He was just another ordinary Japanese teenager looking at Legos without his signature gravity defying coats.
Otogi sighed and leaned down, putting his hands on his knees to look idly across the boxes. He didn't really need to be here. He had just run into Kaiba trying to hide from the paparazzi and let him hide in the back of the Black Clown for a while. But, he had been bored, and he had more than enough hands on the desk, so he thought it would be more fun to follow Kaiba around and see what exactly he did when he wasn't working himself to death.
It wasn't really that interesting, actually.
Otogi shrugged.
"What about dragons? Does he like dragons?" Otogi said.
"Yeah..." Kaiba grunted.
"What about this one, then?"
Otogi pointed out a set with knights and a big Lego dragon. For a moment, Otogi thought he might have seen Kaiba's eyes light up at the sight of it – but it might have just been the flickering light overhead. What kind of shoddy maintenance did they have in this store? Otogi wouldn't have stood for a failing light in his own store.
Kaiba slid the large box from the shelf and flipped it over, glancing at the contents.
There was no mistaking it this time – an actual smile flickered across the CEO's face.
"So?" Otogi said, smirking. "Do I win a prize for finding the good one?"
Kaiba snorted.
"I would have seen it in a minute anyway."
"Yeah right. You were barely looking. You were too busy stewing."
Kaiba rolled his eyes and shoved the box under his arm.
"Why the hell did you come with me, again?"
"Bored."
"I think this may be why I don't like you very much."
"Oh? You mean it's not because I'm a successful game business rival?"
"Oh please. Your silly little shop doesn't even hold a candle to Kaiba Corporation."
"Only a matter of time, Kaiba, only a matter of time."
Kaiba gave Otogi a "yeah right" kind of smirk, which Otogi gladly returned, before he strode purposefully out of the aisle towards the checkout.
"You're welcome for the clothes, by the way," Otogi called after him. "I'll want those back."
"I thought you were my successful game business rival. Surely you could easily replace this."
"Still want 'em back."
Kaiba paused just enough to throw Otogi a smirk over his shoulder.
"I'll send them back to you later," he said, waving.
Then he disappeared around the corner, leaving Otogi to shake his head and smile.
A/N: Yeah. Not sure what to make of this. Next is...Maskedshipping (both the Moonisteves x Pandora/Arcana) (their names are really Hikari no Kamen and Yami no Kamen, or Lumis and Umbra in the dub, but really, they're just always going to be the Moonisteves.).
