I still have a few hours until nighttime. Hanging out with Gonta was a nice break, but I really should try and do something about what I found today. I wonder what I should do. Maybe I should check out more of the academy. After all, if one of us is a traitor, I doubt they would rely on the library door, since that is obvious to find. Let's see… Where could there be another secret in this academy? It has to be somewhere where you would never find it, but also accessible to anyone at any time. That way, if it's found, they could easily avoid suspicion under that unlikely scenario. A few places come to mind, but I'll have to check them out before I-.

"Nyahahaha! I found you, Rin!"

"Huh? Wha-OOF!" I turned to see who was talking, only to get tackled and almost get knocked over. I looked at the person who had run into me, only to see Angie looking back up at me with excited eyes and a wide smile. "A-Angie? What are you-?"

"Atua has blessed me with an epiphany, and I needed a muse to create what Atua has envisioned. I began to search for someone to be my muse, and I found you, so you've been chosen! How divine!" Angie claimed.

"W-Wait. I actually have-." I couldn't say anymore than that before Angie grabbed my arm and proceeded to drag me away. "W-Wait a second!"

"Nyahahaha!" Angie just laughed as she pulled me along. She dragged me to the Shrine of Judgment and sat me down on the edge of the fountain. I then noticed something new had been added to the shrine area. In the middle of the fountain on a raised platform was a statue of a man that was split down the middle, separating black and white colors, and his head was Monokuma's. It was utterly disgusting. I was actually going to ask Angie about the new… 'decoration' that was added to the shrine, but I didn't get the chance. She then pulled out what looked like a sketch book and looked at me cheerfully. "Now then, please relax into a normal pose and do not move from that position."

I sighed, knowing there was no escaping from this point. I leaned a bit back, spreading my hands out to keep me from falling into the water. I look up at the ceiling, which is open because of the cage, allowing me to look at the sky. It's a beautiful day today. It's a wonder how the sky can still be so nice despite the situation we're in. I took a deep breath, taking it all in. This is quite nice. I look at Angie through my peripheral vision. She seems really into whatever she's drawing. She will quickly doodle a bit before narrowing her eyes and draw furiously, looking a bit possessed and moaning a bit at those times, before returning to a normal pace.

I chuckled a bit. She must be having multiple ideas for the drawing, but what's with the whole moaning and possessed look? Wait, didn't she say she was a vessel for her god and that Atau is the one who makes the art? After watching her, I can see why she would think that. I bring my focus back up to the sky. After gazing at the vast blue sea within the clouds, I notice something. It's not much, but something feels...off. I can't put my finger on it. It's just, the way the clouds are moving seems weird. Did clouds always move like that? Maybe I'm just not used to being outside much. I am pretty pasty compared to everyone else. I think the only people who match my horrible complexion are Shuichi, Kokichi, and Keebo, who is a robot. I hold back a laugh, thinking how Keebo would say something about how "that's robophobic!".

"All done!" Angie cheers, wiping a bit of sweat off her brow. I turn my head to Angie, who is looking quite proud of herself. I got up and walked over to her.

"May I see it, or do I still need to give a blood offering?" I asked, a little nervous about the latter part of what I said.

"Nyahaha! That will not be necessary this time! You contributed by being the muse, so you do not need to give an offering, though if you wish to give some, Atua would be most pleased." Angie said innocently.

"A-Ah… Thank you for that, but if that's the case, I'll pass on the blood then." I say before walking up and looking at the drawing. "..." I had no words. Seriously, no words could describe what I was looking at. Art…is very strange. I can feel an immense power from the drawing, and I think most people would have fainted from it, but somehow, I think I've seen worse things, so I'm able to handle it. Not to say the art is bad, on the contrary, it's quite good; however, it's very…different. I thought she was drawing my sitting at the fountain. That was not the case.

Even stranger, the person in the drawing doesn't look anything like me. But aside from his difference and bewildering it is, I can't say I hate it. The scene in the drawing has amazing detail put into it, and the person in the drawing is conveying so many emotions and thoughts that it really impacts me. There's no way that could be me, after all, there's no way I appear that good. "...Wow." I managed to say after staring at it for several seconds. "This is actually really good. It's not at all what I expected, but it's really nice."

"Nyahahaha! I'm glad you liked it Rin!" Angie cheered. "I'm surprised. Most people faint when they see my art, yet you're completely fine. Perhaps you have been chosen by Atua?"

"I don't know about that." I say with a chuckle. "I have to ask though. Who is the person in the drawing?"

"You of course!" Angie said.

"Really? It doesn't look anything like me." I say somberly. "I don't look this good or interesting."

"Nonsense! This is how Atua sees you! You may not be able to see it, but Atua and I know how great you are! You always try to help us and look out for us. You were very reliable in the tunnel as well!" She said as she clasped her hands together happily. "You are my muse for this drawing, so Atua through me had to make sure to draw you perfectly." I smiled at that. These guys are really too kind.

"Thanks." I said "You really are the Ultimate Artist." I sit back down on the edge of the fountain, Angie plopping down beside me. "So, Angie, since we're hanging out, how about you tell me about yourself."

"Oh? You want to know more about me? Then I shall tell you more about my island. My island is a beautiful place. It used to be very big, but Atua used a natural disaster to make it smaller so it would look cuter."

"That…doesn't sound pleasant."

"My island also has many beautiful flowers, but most of them like to attack people."

"Attack people!?"

"Come to think of it…I'm honestly not sure if they're actual plants or flowers." Angie said while fiddling with a paint brush. Note to self, never go to Angie's island. "Let me tell you more about it. You already know about the offerings, so I will explain more about them. Offerings are usually a pint or two of blood, and every Monday and Wednesday morning, a truck comes to collect them."

"So...blood for the blood god? That's...nice I guess." I comment. I would ask why she needs blood for offerings, but I think I'd rather not know. "So where is this place? I've never heard of such a place."

"In the middle of the ocean! Surrounded by water and nothing else."

"I guess that explains why I've never heard of it, besides the whole amnesia thing. So is the whole island isolated completely from the rest of the world? If so, how would you get things that aren't available on the island?."

"Nyahaha! Don't worry. There is a shipping site that I used called DeepSea that I used to get things I couldn't on my island. Like magazines, food, clothing, organ meat, medicine, blood, even children!"

"...I'm not going to question it." I say, before noticing Angie staring at me. "Is something wrong?"

"Hmm…yes. Talking to you, I am sure that you could be a devout follower of Atua! You seem to be chosen by him after all. I believe he could do great things with you if you let him, Rin."

"Oh, I don't know. I don't think I'm the devoted type of person."

"Not to worry, for I will teach you all that there is to know about Atua." Before I could say no, Angie began to teach me many different things about Atua. It was very interesting, however, I couldn't help but think that this "will of Atua" is just Angie's will, but she might have confused it for her own. I can't really say for certain, but maybe when she teaches me more as a "disciple", I'll be able to tell. This has me a bit concerned. I hope she doesn't try to force everyone to do stuff because it's Atua's will and stuff. If that happens, as her friend, I might have to stop her if it's something dangerous. After my many lessons to become a disciple of Atua, Angie and I went our separate ways.

I took out my Monopad to look at the time. 6:30 pm. Wow, time flew by today. Guess I was too distracted by the hidden door, helping Gonta look for bugs, and Angie's art to really notice. Maybe I'll get some food and just relax for a bit. Maybe try and figure out stuff about me. I was about to put away my Monopad, but then I noticed a new icon on the screen. It was a symbol of a music note. Confused, clicked it, and the words "Searching for wireless device" appeared. I titled my head, but then I remembered I had wireless headphones.

I took them off and looked at them, finding a power button, which I clicked. The Monopad then said it connected, and showed me a library of songs. There was also a message. "Sorry for the many inconveniences that you have had. Please enjoy these selections of music as an apology. Monokuma." Huh… Well this is unexpected, but nice. I put on the headphones and started listening to one of the playlists. It was strange. I don't think I've ever heard these songs before, but they still sound…really familiar. Maybe I used to listen to these songs a lot. If so, why does my Monopad have these songs on it? Well, I'm not going to complain, since these songs are really nice. They also don't seem to have been altered for malicious purposes, so they seem to be safe. I could actually work to some of these.

I make my way to the dining hall, grooving a bit to the music. I finally get there, seeing a few others eating their own meals. I made my way to the kitchen and began to scrounge up something quick and easy. After that, I took my food out of the kitchen and sat at an empty seat at the table. I was planning to quickly eat my meal so I could go off and try to find more about myself, but I was pleasantly surprised when someone in the dining hall moved over to sit next me. I turned to see the smiling face of Kaede. As she sat herself down next to me with her food, I turned off the music and took my headphones off. "Good evening Kaede. How are you?"

"Good actually. I've just been hanging out with a few of the others."

"Really? Who had the pleasure?"

"Well, I tried to get Maki to open up to me, but that didn't really work out. I think I just made her angry. Then Kokichi dragged me around, telling me that we knew each other. I almost believed him too." I laughed as she told me more about what happened with those two.

"It sounds like they had a good time though. It must have been fun."

"What about you? What have you been doing?"

"I actually helped Gonta look for bugs, but we couldn't find any. We then spoke for a bit before I left. I was going to explore some more, but Angie dragged me away so I could be her model. We then spoke a bit and she began to teach me the 'ways of Atua', since she thinks I could be a disciple like her." Kaede was now the one laughing.

"Seems you got dragged around too. Our classmates are really something, huh?"

"Tell me about it." I took a few bites of my meal, noticing Kaede looking a bit nervous about something. "You ok?"

"O-Oh! Yeah!" She reassures me. "So, um…did you find anything in the library?" I almost choked on a piece of chicken when she asked that. Oh boy… How do I play this? I could play dumb and say I found nothing, but as she probably is suspicious of me, that could backfire on me horribly, making her even more suspicious of me. But should I tell her that I know? I know that she knows, but should I reveal my cards to her? Can I trust her? I think for a moment before sighing. Who am I kidding? It's Kaede. She's the most trustworthy person here. Besides, if Shuichi trusts her, then It's probably fine. I lean over and whisper to her.

"Yeah. I did. And I'm guessing you and Shuichi know about it too, the thing in the library that's suspicious." Kaede's eyes widened as I whispered this. "Look, I understand that you think I'm suspicious, especially when I went down there right after Monokuma was destroyed, but please believe me when I say I'm not involved in this at all." Kaede looked at me sternly for a bit before smiling.

"Yeah! I trust you. We're friends after all." I breathed a sigh of relief. If she isn't lying, then I'm glad. I don't want to end up being suspected by everyone. "Let's discuss it a bit after we eat."

"Sure." We chatted for a bit as we ate. Kaede started talking a bit about herself. Some of the details were shocking though, like how she apparently has played in front of a European king. Seriously, these Ultimates are incredible. After we finished eating, we left the dining hall and headed somewhere we could talk in private. We ended up in the game room in the basement. No one was there, since most of the arcade machines are broken and there isn't much here. "Hey, has that door back there opened up yet?"

"Oh that? I think that's an AV room. There's a projector and a lot of movies in there." Kaede responded.

"I see." I walked over and opened up the door and peered inside. Kaede was right. The place was filled with different movies and other dvds. There was a couch and a large projector screen on the wall. I closed the door and turned my attention to Kaede. "So, can I ask you something first?"

"Sure. What do you want to know?"

"How did you find the hidden door?" I asked.

"Shuichi showed it to me earlier today, after Monokuma was smashed."

"Oh! I must have run into you right after you saw it, huh?"

"Yeah. It was really jaring."

"I bet. Seeing the hidden door and then running into someone heading straight for it. No wonder you and Shuichi were taken aback." I sighed. "I'm just lucky I didn't find the door before Maki came into the library yesterday. That could have ended badly for me."

"So what's your impression of the door?" Kaede asked.

"I have plenty of thoughts on it, but I'd rather ask you first, since I imagine Shuichi shared his thoughts about it with you. I would like to hear what the Ultimate Detective has to say on the matter."

"Well…he said that the door is proof the game isn't over, and that someone is most likely a traitor, or the mastermind behind all of this."

"I see. Those are also the conclusions I came to. Do you and Shuichi have any plans?"

"Shuichi placed dust on the card reader to see if anyone used the door to try and bring back Monokuma."

"Smart. I didn't even notice the dust. I'm glad I didn't touch the door and the card reader now." So that's his plan right now. Not bad, but there are a few flaws with it. Specifically, the fact that there are probably hidden cameras watching us, meaning this trap would be known by the mastermind, and the possibility that there may be a secondary entrance. Has Shuichi considered these possibilities? Maybe he's using the dust to see if this is the only entrance, since if the mastermind knows about the placed dust, but uses that door anyway, that could mean that's the only entrance. But that could be a trap. Ugh…my head's hurting just thinking about what could happen. I just need to wait and see.

"So what are you planning to do, Rin?" Kaede asked.

"Not sure. Shuichi seems to have an idea of what to do, but I think I'll try something myself." I said. "If someone here is the mastermind, then all we need to do is find them. I think I'll wait until tomorrow to decide. I'll need to confirm some theories before I try anything. Right now, for all I know, that door is just a liability."

"Liability?"

"Don't worry about it. Just thinking out loud. Either way, I think I'll try coming up with a plan to stop the killing game."

"I see. Maybe we should discuss this with Shuichi."

"I actually think I shouldn't work with him."

"Huh?"

"Shuichi didn't trust me with the knowledge of the hidden door. He trusted you. If I'm suddenly in the mix, he might get more suspicious of me. Besides, I think he and I have different ideas on how to approach this. And the way I see it, if we both plan out two different traps, I think there'll be a higher chance of success for one of them." I say while stretching. "You should help him out, though. He trusts you more than anyone else." Kaede thought about it for a moment for a minute before nodding.

"Alright. Let's get everyone out of here together!" She said while extending her hand.

"Yeah. Together." We shook on it, promising to do our best to help everyone. With that we left the game room and started heading back. While we were walking, I noticed Kaede looking at me curiously.

"Those are headphones, right?" She asked.

"Yeah. Why?"

"You had them on when you entered the dining hall. It seemed like you were listening to something."

"I was. My Monopad has music on it."

"What!?" Kaede looked surprised. "Can I see?"

"S-Sure." I say as I take out my Monopad and hand it to her. "Do you guys not have that on you Monopad?"

"No!" She said as she scrolled through the entire library of songs. "They even have some of my favorite songs here. You're so lucky." Kaede groaned as she pushed the Monopad back into my chest. I laughed as I put it away.

"Well, maybe I'll let you borrow my headphones later."

"Really? If that's the case, maybe I'll teach you some piano in exchange."

"Really? That sounds cool, but is there even a piano here?"

"Oh, you haven't heard. This place apparently has rooms called 'Ultimate Research Labs'. They're rooms made specifically for each of us, and the Monokubs said that my lab and Miu's lab are close to being finished."

"Research Labs. And you say there's one for each of us? Does that mean they made one for me?"

"Yeah! I'm sure."

"Huh." That would be something. What could be inside. I don't have a single clue.

Ding dong, bing bong.

A school bell rings out and the monitors flash to life. The screen showed not the Monokubs, but just Monodam. He didn't say anything. After a few seconds, the monitors shut off.

"Just one?" Kaede asked.

"I guess they weren't kidding when they said they were going to honor their father's death. I suppose that was supposed to be the nighttime announcement. We should head to the dormitory." Kaede nodded and we walked towards the dorms. Once we got there, I finally noticed the new addition to the area. In between Himiko and Kokichi's rooms on the second floor, was my new dorm room, complete with an 8-bit sprite of me above the door. "About time. I can sleep on a bed again and not in a locker or chair." I laughed. "Welp, I'm hitting the hay. I'll see you tomorrow."

"Alright. Goodnight." With that, we entered our own rooms. I opened my door and entered, seeing that my room was almost exactly the same, with the only difference being that it looked slightly bigger. I had a key that was hanging on a stand as well. I immediately grabbed it and locked my door. With that, I began to investigate the room. It really was the same as Kaito's, which I was happy about. The only strange thing was in the closet, in which I found multiple pairs of my outfit, just like with Kaito. The strange thing wasn't the multiple outfits. It was the one that was different. This one was a formal suit and tie. I took one look at it and cringed. I didn't know why, but I hate formal attire like this. Guess I have an outfit I'll never wear. After changing into pajamas, which I found in one of the drawers, I laid down on my bed and let sleep take me. All hell is going to break loose tomorrow. I don't even need my random bits of knowledge to tell me that. Tomorrow, the game starts for real.
