"This is bizarre," Wizardmon shook his head, ten minutes later, eyeing the scene before you, "..There should be a limit to charisma."

"There is, just not one to me." you smirked smugly.

Airdramon laughed loudly, "He's got you there Wizardmon," the dragon pointed out, "When the boss wants to get something done, he gets it done."

You shook your head in amusement, focusing on Ogremon and his surrounding posse. Just mere moments ago, they were but small Goblimon, barely coming up to your waste, and it was cute how they crowded Ogremon seeking his leadership.

Now it was less cute, much more amusing/ Because now, instead of Goblimon, the giant forms of Two Seadramon, Three Kabuterimon, a Birdramon, Tyrannomon Drimogemon, Meramon and Angemon.

"Check us out big bro!" Birdramon flapped its wings, "We're all big and beefy now! I'd like to see that wimpy ass Digimon Emperor come start shit now!"

"Screw that pansy nerd!" Drimogemon cheered, "The boss is the real king! Ain't that right big bro?"

"Calm down, calm down!" Ogremon tried to calm the group of of boisterous newly digivolved champion digimon.

"So, hey boss man," Angemon made his way over to you, "You want I should take down that punk ass bitches tower? I'll shove my fist up its ass and tear it apart if ya' want." the angel digimon cracked his knuckles menacingly.

That attitude was so out of place on an Angemon, you almost burst out laughing. Wizardmon and Airdramon had no problems doing so.

"It's fine Angemon," you waved the holy digimon off, "I want to take a look at it first while it's active, and assuming this pretender is competent in anyway, He'll have ways of alerting him when they get taken down, and I'd prefer not to bother with him right now."

Honestly, you had a real good starting position right now. While the new champions weren't anything to write home about, they'd contend with any modern champion well enough, they were at least average champion strength of this age. Airdramon and Wizardmon were high tier champions for this day and age, and Ogremon was definitely in the Ultimate level of strength by now, especially by the modern standards.

But this Digimon Emperor fool had plenty of time to fortify himself, and thirteen digimon, did not an army make. Setting up base first and getting your current subordinates a bit stronger, would be the best thing to do...for now. You just needed a small bit of time to take stock of things and get your feet under you in the digital world.

"Alright, you're the bossman, boss," Angemon shrugged, "Holla if you need me." the angel digimon tossed a wave at you and made his way over to Ogremon

"...My lord, despite all I've seen with you, I think that is by far the most unnatural thing you've done." Wizardmon deadpanned.

Airdramon just continued to guffaw.

You took a look around you. Eyeing the vast expanse of area, surrounded by the natural large defense of clustering mountains. All in all, it wasn't a bad place to set up base.

Your eyes moved to the rocky plateau. 'There's even one of those television portal things that I came through up there.' you noted. It should be easy to categorize the coordinates of it and destination, so you could come straight here from the human world. And the plateau itself, high up, over a lake, would be the perfect spot to build a castle.

Your gaze then swept over to the massive amount of stone, wood and other materials your new subordinates had been excavating for whatever reason while under the control of those plebian dark rings.

It was quite a lot of material to use. And you could use it and format it to build a beginning abode of refuge. And with the lake, there should be an abundance of fish and clean water.

'Well, not like that's a problem for me, I can just bring over tons of food from the human world for me.' you mused. Still, the fish of the digital world were naturally spawning, when one was caught, a new one reformed, they weren't actually living things like in the real world, but more data packets of food, naturally produced by the digital world itself to simulate fish from the real world.

Still, while it would feed your subordinates, it wasn't big enough to satiate a kingdom itself. 'I'll need to recruit a bunch of vegiemon.' you nodded to yourself. Well, them, or some of the Tanemon and Palmon lines, they generally were very good when it came to growing both vegetables and meat.

To bad you hadn't thought to make some digivolution items for Vegiemon, or maybe a Togemon. But, easily rectified with some time.

You decided, that this was as good a place as any, actually, it was far better than most, and it was a great find. So, from this area, the Kingdom of Floatia would be reborn.

To that end, you called over your new subordinates.

"What's up boss?" Ogremon asked, his gaggle of giant champion level subordinates lined up behind him.

You nodded at the mass of materials gathered by him and them before they were freed by you, "Can you grab all that up and take it up to the top of there?" you asked, pointing at the top of the plateau.

Ogremon shrugged, "Should be simple enough now that these lugs are champions as well," your current strongest subordinate replied, giving you a brief and lazy salute with one of his clubs before turning to face the ones behind him, "You heard the boss you maggots, get moving, take this as a chance to test out your new strength!"

"Yes big bro!" they cheered loudly and tore off towards the gathering of materials in a stampede.

Ogremon shook his head in what you assumed to be fondness, before he took off after them.

You looked to Airdramon coiled up at your side, "Go help them will you?" you asked, "With your portals, they can just walk through while carrying it instead of having to jump or climb up."

"You got it boss." Airdramon nodded, uncoiling and flaring out his large red wings as he took to the air and flew off to help what you mentally dubbed 'The Ogremon division'. With his strength as a Champion, there was no doubt Ogremon was going to be one of your top subordinates, and delegating was a true mark of a king if you do say so yourself.

"What about me?" Wizardmon asked.

You pointed at the dark tower, "I'm gonna go check that out, I want you to come with me in case there are any guards around it." you replied. If this 'Digimon Emperor' was in any way competent, he would have an extra guard in waiting as a last case scenario to defend something like his dark towers.

"..So my lord," Wizardmon began as he fell in line with you on your trip towards the tower, "I did not know it was possible to use your items to digivolve into the same form, and not just level."

You shrugged, "I had a few Whamon as subordinates, and it occurred to me when I saw that some of them were champions and ultimates, that some forms are much more combat able than others, even with a strength increase," you explained, "For instance, a Greymon's body is much more combat suited than a Nanimon's, despite the fact they would gain an overall power boost from digivolving into one after being a Greymon."

There was also the fact that when you were raising the Agumon that would eventually become Chaosdramon, you needed Greymon to become Metal Greymon, but also wanted the power boost that would come from an extra digivolution.

"..I see," Wizardmon mused. "I have held off on asking for one of your items to digivolve into another champion form, because I have a fondness for this form, it is the form I made my friendship with Gatomon in. If you want me to and have a better and more powerful form suited, I will be fine with it, but I would prefer to stay as Wizardmon, at least as a champion level digimon."

It wasn't needed to be said that when he was strong enough, you were planning on him becoming an ultimate level digimon. The only reason Airdramon wasn't already an ultimate, was simply because, his portals were much too useful right now to lose.

"Even though Wizardmon aren't a species that are geared towards how you fight?" you asked, "Wizardmon as a species, from what I've gathered from your data, are geared towards long range fighters, but you always tend to move in close to fight."

"I can't protect what I want to, if I'm to scared to fight in close, a protector has to be someone capable of fighting at any range," Wizardmon replied, but nodded nonetheless, "While there's no doubt my physical abilities would be drastically increased as a Greymon or a Garurumon, even then, I would prefer Wizardmon."

While you'd personally prefer to cover all his bases with a strong physical form, you didn't mind much, "It's your choice Wizardmon," you said, "It's not like I'm forcing you to follow me, you're only here because of our friendship and loyalty. If you want to stay Wizardmon, then I have no problem making you an item to digivolve again into your current form."

Wizardmon let loose a sigh of relief, his shoulders slumping a bit, "..Thank you my lord," he bowed his wizard hat wearing head, "I'm glad to know my faith and loyalty in you isn't at all misplaced."

You smiled and quirked an eyebrow, "Did my choice here really factor in that massively?" you asked in bemusement.

Wizardmon shook his head, "Not much no, you've already done so much for me that it would be a minor gripe all things considered," he replied, "But it's little things like this, your consideration for us that follow you, that reinforces that following you to help you rebuild your kingdom is the correct choice."

You laughed and waved him off, "With how hard you worked to train yourself physically over the last few years and make up for your weak physical abilities initially, it really isn't a major boon to give," you replied, "Wizardmon are generally not much stronger than a Bakemon physically, yet you are well capable of picking up and throwing a Monochromon."

"..That wasn't quite all because of my effort remember, my lord," Wizardmon chuckled lightly, "It was you who trained me after all and helped me increase my strength to this level."

"True," you agreed, "But it doesn't change the fact that you put in a great deal of effort to get as strong as you are, take pride in that."

Wizardmon looked away from you embarrassedly at your praise and you laughed louder.

It took just a few minutes from there to reach the dark tower. But to your surprise, and bafflement, there was no guard.

"I suppose this Digimon Emperor thought he wouldn't need another guard with Ogremon around?" Wizardmon mused as you circled the tower, examining it.

"Meaning he's an ignorant moron," you shook your head, "Ogremon was very strong for a champion, probably on the level of low-level ultimates of this age, but, ultimates aren't that rare."

"It's been five years since I was in the digital world, but from what I remember, ultimates are actually quite rare." Wizardmon replied, matter of factly.

You stopped your circling of the dark tower, "Eh?" you blinked, "I'm sorry what? Ultimates are rare? Back when I was first in the digital world, ultimates were everywhere."

"the more a digimon fights and trains, the stronger we get and the faster we digivolve," Wizardmon pointed out, "You know this better than anybody these days. Back then, you saved the digital world when the vast majority of digimon were feral and constantly fighting for years, even decades on end, it's no wonder they were much stronger on average and there were much more ultimates around."

Wizardmon tapped his chin, "Honestly, when I served Myotismon, digimon reaching the ultimate level was a big new worthy thing," the champion continued, "Honestly, there was maybe ten known in total at the time, and quite a few of them served Myotismon. With his group alone there was Myotismon himself, Phantomon, Mammathmon and Skull Meramon."

You raised an eyebrow in interest, "What about the others?" you asked.

"Well, there was Pixiemon, the legendary trainer digimon," he replied, "and of course, Myotismon's only real rival at the time was Etemon. There were a few on File Island as well, like Monzaemon and Andromon, and I heard rumours of a Whamon, but that's generally all the ultimates that were about back then before I came to the human world."

Dear lord, the digital world had gotten even weaker than you thought! No wonder the Digidestined managed to win in the end despite how generally incompetent and bumbling they were.

Wizardmon listed nine ultimates in total. And the strongest group was Myotismon's, which had four of them. There were eight digidestined, so once they got their crests they would be a group with eight ultimates. A miniscule amount for the time you led the charge in the digital world, but that was twice the fighting strength of Myotismon's group who basically ruled more or less uncontested at that point.

"How bizarre." you mused. To think groups so weak could rule over the digital world. You supposed it just meant it would be much easier to establish your kingdom once again in the end.

Either way, you'd had enough time to examine the outer shell of the tower. "Let's see now." you hummed, unlocking your digivice and swiping through the apps on it. There was one specific app you had created for the time you returned to the digital world.

You opened it up, and with a few presses of the buttons on it, a holographic keyboard phased into view above the screen, before they solidified. 'Yes, it worked!' you grinned. There was a specific piece of coding to draw on digital information and solidify when used. Impossible in the real world, but the digital world that was made up of physical data, it was very much more possible.

"That's an interesting keyboard, but what's with the letters on it?" Wizardmon asked.

"You don't recognise the language?" you asked in interest.

"Should I?" your subordinate asked in puzzlement.

"Well, your 'magic' abilities are based on this language," you replied and Wizardmon blinked in confusion, "It's the High Coding language of the digital world, it's basically coding commands that allows one to interact and change the digital world itself."

Once upon a time, you did not understand a lick of this. But you gained a basic understanding of it thanks to Andromon and Giromon passing on their knowledge and skills to you. From there, you had expounded on your knowledge through a lot of trial and effort, and not to mention, many, many failures.

"Technically, you should be able to pull up something like this without a terminal like me," you said to Wizardmon as you began typing, using the High Coding functions to establish a scan function that began scanning and going through the data that made up the dark tower, "Honestly, if I had your abilities to use the High Coding language without one, things would be a lot simpler."

"Maybe you can make a way based on me?" Wizardmon mused, "Like, those are like those runes in mythology from your world right? Can't you tattoo them on you like in that one anime I watched?"

You were about to comment on how silly that was, when it occurred to you, that it wasn't really. Of course the sheer amount of High Coding based runes would be massive, and be insanely hard to condense, it should be possible, theoretically, to link some to your brain and command through your thought process. While you still wouldn't have natural born power like a digimon, since humans were incompatible with it. The runes themselves would hold the power...maybe?

But, they;d only function in the digital world without a natural power source. And you didn't really like the idea of a limited ability like that, that only worked in one place. What could you use to give the runes a power source of their own?

An alert noise coming from your High Coding keyboard brought you back to attention. 'I'll think on it later.' you decided, and looked brought up a screen through the High Coding to check the results.

'Hmm, these are quite well put together, though basic in function,' you mused, but when you looked over the amount of data packed into its creation you whistled, "That's quite a lot of data."

You could use this. That amount of data could be used to make any numbers of things, and fill quite a few digivolution items. But, you had a better idea in mind.

First things first, you needed to make sure this guy didn't know about anything happening to this tower. So you quickly hacked into it, bypassing the defences easily thanks to High Coding, it was a version of coding far beyond the human one in use through this tower.

You went right down to where it was connected, and established a pseudo connection in its place, to make it seem like it was still there, and then, you broke the tower down. It wasn't a natural formation like other parts of the digital world like the ground and grass, so breaking it apart and down into raw data, was incredibly easy.

"Woah!" Wizardmon yelped when the tower buckled in on itself and then glowed brightly, going from physical, to almost liquid like in appearance as it turned into a massive river of dark flakes of data.

"Now then, let's go!" You grinned, and established a connection between the data and your digivice. You held your digivice up in the air, and the mass of data was sucked towards you like your digivice was a vacuum.

Moments later, the mass of data disappeared into your digivice, and was absorbed straight into your partners digi-egg.

The best of it was to, that because they were connected to the central system of the digital world, filled with massive wires that transferred vast amounts of data throughout the entire digital world, it brought some of the excess along with it.

With that done, you made your way back with Wizardmon to the top of the rocky plateau. Airdramon opened a portal for you both when you got to the bottom and you stepped out to see a massive, massive pile of stone, metal and wood material piled together.

Ogremon stood before his exhausted looking subordinates with a massive, proud grin on his face and his muscular arms crossed over his chest, "How's that boss man?" he asked, "Didn't even take us an entire hour to get all this crap up here."

"Good job guys," you gave them a thumbs up, "Take a rest for now huh?" you held up your digivice.

"Eh, what'ya gonna do with that?" Ogremon asked.

"I'm gonna put you guys inside it for now, then while you're in there, I'm gonna see about making you guys immune to those black rings," you replied, "Don't fight the pull effect, it isn't that strong so I can't bring you guys in if you don't let me."

Ogremon shrugged, "No idea what you're talking about, but you're the boss, boss!" the dual club wielding champion agreed, "You heard him, don't resist!" he barked at the mass of ten champions behind him.

"Yes big bro!" they shouted through groans.

You snorted in amusement, before holding your digivice up, and in a glow of flashing light from the screen, all the digimon around you, including Airdramon and Wizardramon were taken inside.

"Now let's see, first, I'll set up the castle building program." you mused. With the materials already brought up. All you had to do, was create a program through High Coding that built the castle. It would refine the materials all around into shape, and slot them together. Honestly, it was more like an automated lego building program than anything else.

It would take longer to design the castle than create the program honestly. Mostly because, you already had experience using these programs. But really, it didn't take long to get it started up, because you'd already designed sme castle schematics in advance.

And you had one that would be fine for your initial base, more practically designed, than extravagance.

In just a few short minutes, all the materials began floating into the air as if by magic, and began changing shape, rough rocks splitting apart and refined into rectangular bricks, wood carving into different shapes to be slotted together and more.

"Now to deal with the anti-coding for those dark rings." you hummed once you were done, and sat down, bringing up the data you had gotten from the dark tower and the High Coding keyboard.

You had a direct reference for its mind control frequency now. You just had to make an anti-frequency that continuously ran through you subordinates data bodies.

'Perhaps an adapting program? In case he changes the frequency later down the line so the program itself will adapt to any frequency of the like and counter it?' you pondered.

By time you were done and succeeded in creating the program you were aiming for, an entire two hours had passed. You would have got things done sooner, if you were aiming for just the same frequency the dark towers used now, but, you thought it was better to prepare, just in case.

From what you saw, the power of the dark rings and the frequency of the tower, while good enough to hold most, would struggle to control any strong ultimate, and any stronger and it would fail completely.

Once the fool figured that out, if he eventually ran into any strong ultimates before you dealt with him, he'd no doubt look into upgrading the dark rings and frequency.

Around you, a general slight building layer had already been formed, so you stood up and made your way out of the building assembling itself and overlooked the Nigh Plains from the tip of the rocky plateau.

"What to do now?" you mused. You'd already added the coding to your digimon subordinates, but you were limited on what else you could accomplish here and now with just your digivice. It was only a single terminal after all, and while on par with your supercomputers back home, it still didn't have the same quantity as them.

You could head back to the real world and bring them back with you. You'd already taken the coordinates of the television portal you came from. And then when you got back you could use multiple terminal facets to begin building more.

There was that, or there was the fact you could venture out a bit and see if you could find any more places with digimon. You were itching to go find more of those dark towers. by your reckoning, you only needed a good thirty or so of them, and you could revive your partners from their egg form. Your goal of reviving them was so closely in sight that it was making you a bit impatience and antsy.

'What to do, what to do?' you mused. It was unbefitting of a king to be so undecided, but at this moment, you couldn't decide what was the better option.

In the end, you decided to head back to the human world. While you were desperate to revive your partners. It wouldn't do to get too reckless and over extend. You'd practiced caution a lot in your first venture, no use doing away with what let you save the digital world and become king in the first place.

Besides, stocking up on a bunch of food for an extended period of travelling in the digital world was a good idea.

You left your castle to build itself, and using your digivice, returned through the television portal, and finding yourself back in the unused classroom with your laptop in it.

You grabbed the laptop and put it in your bag, before heading out. The school was almost eerily quiet and empty.

Looked like you were in the digital world longer than you thought. School had already ended for the day.

You made your way out, walking through the empty school grounds, but when you got to the gate, someone was waiting for you. An older, voluptuous and familiar girl. You'd met her in passing once, when you attended a concert as publicity for your company.

Amano Nene, third year high school student and student council president for the high school division of the school. And celebrated idol and singer. There had even been mentions of her being hired as the possible heroine when the digimon movie based on your game went into production.

Oddly, she wasn't dressed in her school uniform, but a simple, light purple checkered sundress and a white coat.

"Hello Artus." she greeted you with a mysterious looking smile when you reached the gate.

"Nene," you greeted with a simple nod, "Something I can help you with?"

"Well when the most famous student in school, above even an idol like me ditches his afternoon classes on the first day of school, teachers understandably panic," she shrugged, "It's my responsibility as the the student council president to investigate these things."

"Is that so?" you raised an eyebrow, before shrugging, "Well, it's a waste of your effort, I already discussed with the principal in advance and told him I may just ditch classes altogether, he was very forthcoming about it, since I'd bring more publicity to the school alongside the fact I donated a bunch of money."

"I know," Nene stuck her tongue out cheekily, before pushing off against the wall she was leaning against, "I just needed an excuse to speak to you.!

"Oh, and why's that?" you asked, your interest peaked.

"Hmm, I wonder?" Nene hummed and teased you, "Did you have fun in the digital world today?"

'Well now, what's this then?' you wondered, interest deepening all the further.

Anyway, again, shameless Pa-atreon plug. I've got one, go by the same username on there, easy to find and all that jazz. Support me if you want, it'd be swell, but don't feel pressured lads and ladies, I'll be uploading my stuff outside it regardless and not keeping it all behind a paywall or anything like that.
