"Yeah not much else I can take with me..." Leizcio says as he packs his vigilante suit into his backpack. The day of internships has arrived and Leizcio was getting himself ready for the week. Once he was finished, he got up and hid whatever he had left behind in the warehouse. He looks back at it one more time before leaving and continues moving forward.

As he slowly heads over to the station the students were told to go to, Leizcio slightly limps as while his healing might've helped him recover, the pain still lightly lingered. Yesterday was already way too much of a struggle for him and today was only slightly better.

Leizcio manages to get to the train station and is the last one to arrive. He has his hero costume suitcase in his hands. Taking a look at it, he remembers the first time he received his vigilante suit. That bullet-ridden suitcase was handed to him by that random person. He zones out but Aizawa's voice suddenly derails his train of thought.

"You all have your costumes right? Remember you aren't allowed to wear them in public. Don't drop them or anything either."

'Great. Just like the usual patrols then.' Leizcio thought to himself looking back down at the suitcase. It gave him memories that he enjoyed before but is unsure about them now.

"Off with you now." Aizawa told the class as everyone responded with a strong yes sir except for Leizcio and a friend of his. As Leizcio went to his designated spot for the train, he was accompanied by one of his classmates.

"Are you going here too Esperanza?" Shoji asked with one of his mouths. Leizcio was a bit caught off guard suddenly being called out but quickly calmed down.

"Seems so. Who're you interning with?" Leizcio tiredly asked as the two walked over to the appropriate train.

"Octo-Limbo. I heard they got a similar quirk to my dupli-arms and that could help me improve. What about you Esperanza?" Shoji told Leizcio as the two got on the train and sat down across from each other.

"Well, this Pro-Hero called Blink. Apparently his quirk slows time so he might train me to get faster." Leizcio responded to Shoji. As the train began to speed off to its destination, Leizcio couldn't help but ponder about Shoji's mask. Nobody really knew why he wears it, but Leizcio feels that it's not his place to ask. It does remind him of the mask he uses himself as a vigilante.

~rumble~

Leizcio's stomach suddenly made a loud noise, clearly asking for some food. It made him slightly embarrassed but he acted like it wasn't a big deal on the surface. Shoji suddenly started digging around in his backpack.

"Here, have these. It isn't much but could help a bit." Shoji told Leizcio offering him a bag of chips.

"Thanks Shoji but I'll be fine. I'll just wait until I get there."

"Are you sure?"

"Yeah, I'll be fine, trust me." Leizcio said as he passed the chips back to Shoji. The two decided to relax as they would eventually reach their location. Leizcio started to doze off shortly after. However, it didn't take too long for the train to get to his place.

"Esperanza. Hey Esperanza, your stop is here." Shoji said slightly shaking him with one of his arms. Leizcio quickly woke up and saw that he was at his stop. He started getting his bag and suitcase ready to leave.

"Thank you Shoji, I'll see you at the end of the week." Leizcio told him as he got off the train.

Stepping off, Leizcio pulls out his phone and opens up his GPS. Typing the agency, he sees that it luckily isn't too far from where he was. He begins to walk into the city that's unfamiliar to him.

"Okay, should be around here after taking a right." Leizcio muttered to himself as he watched the directions on his phone. Taking that turn, he sees a two-story building with a stopwatch on the front of it.

"It's definitely som-

"Something cool right?" A random voice said. Leizcio quickly turned behind him but nobody was there. He used his quirk but still couldn't see who was saying those words. He started to focus his perception higher and started to see a blur move around him.

"Even just seeing me like that's amazing kid! Nice work!" A man suddenly stood before him.

"Raymond West! I'm Blink, the guy you're going to be interning with this week!" Blink said offering a handshake to Leizcio.

"Nice to meet you sir. I'm Leizcio Esperanza. Are we going to start training soon?" Leizcio asked as he shook Blink's hand.

"Calm down kid! We're in no rush right now. We're going to go eat something first! Well actually, you can drop off your stuff inside first!" Blink told him as he started heading inside signaling Leizcio to follow. He did follow with a bit of confusion. While he might not have known much on this hero, he thought Blink would get right to training.

"Spectro! The intern is here!" Blink calls out to another pro who was sitting on a couch inside the agency.

"Oh hey! Nice to meet ya! Your room is upstairs to the left!" Spectro told him pointing to the stairs.

"Nice to meet you too." Leizcio said as he made his way upstairs. Opening the door, he was met with an average-sized room with the basics in it. Putting his suitcase on the desk and his backpack on his chair. He takes a second to look at the bed and immediately throws himself on it.

"God it's been too long." Leizcio mumbled into the pillow. His back suddenly felt a bit better laying on it.

"Change into something casual kid! We're going soon!" Blink told Leizcio through the door. Leizcio got back up and scourged through his backpack to find whatever casual he had. Unfortunately, it was just his training clothes but it'll have to do. Finished changing, he heads outside his room and downstairs greeted by Spectro and Blink.

"Ready kid?" Blink asked.

"Yeah, where are we going?"

"We're going to a buffet down the street, we need to eat and rest before we can get to training!" Blink told Leizcio as they started heading out of the agency. But hearing the words 'buffet' suddenly re-energized Leizcio, having sparks in his eyes.

The walk was rather short as the restaurant wasn't too far off. As the three sat down and served themself they began to eat. Leizcio was shoveling away at the food as if he hadn't eaten in weeks. Well... Might not be literally, but his stomach tells him otherwise.

"So Blink, what made you offer me an internship?" Leizcio asked as he finished his 5th plate of food.

"I think you've seen the similarities in our quirk. But other than that, you got a lot of potential to be a hero kid. Especially with what happened back at USJ."

"Wait, USJ?"

"Yeah, I don't know many heroes bold enough to distract a nomu that could kill All Might. Even when things were desperate you still moved forward." Blink told him as he recalled hearing the news of the USJ.

"Well, thank you. I'm more than honored to be your intern." Leizcio said with gratitude bowing his head a slight bit.

"Mind if I ask you a question then Esperanza?" Blink asked.

"Sure, go for it."

"Why do you want to be a hero?"

Leizcio paused to think about it. A question that he hasn't been asked in a while but also something that one couldn't really answer that quickly.

"I'd say... Well... I want to be a hero because I'm tired of being held back and not able to help others. I was given this power for a reason and it's to save others. If I can become a hero, I can finally use my powers to save as many people as I can." Leizcio explained to Blink.

"I see. Well kid, we're going to train you to be one great hero. But don't forget that patience is important. Hah! And I know that's asking a lot given our quirks!" Blink said as he laughed at his own joke. Leizcio took a second to realize what he meant and slightly groaned mentally.

"Are we going to train after this? How am I going to train?" Leizcio bombarded Blink as he finished paying for the check.

"One thing at a time fast one! First, we need to unwind a bit. Then we can begin the training! And you'll find out once it's time!"

"Understood." Leizcio said slightly irritated as he wanted to get to training immediately. As the three got back up and started heading back to the agency, a question had popped into Leizcio's mind.

"Spectro?"

"Sup kid?"

"What exactly is your quirk?" Leizcio asked as he never got to learn what it was. The only info he had was on Blink and even then he didn't know that much.

"Ah! Well, I can adjust my eyes to use different wavelengths of the electromagnetic spectrum! Hence the name Spectro!" Spectro confidently said, proud in his quirk.

"That does sound quite impressive." Leizcio admitted realizing this man essentially had infrared vision and even x-ray vision.

As they made it back to the agency, Blink and Spectro sat down on the couch and Leizcio decided to join them as they made space for him.

"Now what?" Leizcio impatiently asked, unable to keep his foot from moving as the amount of food intake has reinvigorated him.

"We calm down. Even heroes have to be able to take a moment and sit down." Blink explained as Spectro nodded in agreement. Leizcio was starting to get a bit annoyed. Even to the point where he's starting to think he interned under some sleazeball.

"And I can tell with those eyes you think I'm some lazy ass. But trust me, a level-headed mind can go far, especially with this career. " Blink said as he got up from his seat and grabbed some papers from one of the office desks nearby. He put them down in front of Leizcio for him to see.

"These are pages of different routines we're going to try to help you and your quirk. You might be an intern kid, but we're going to do our best to make sure you can become a hero." Blink affirmed Leizcio sitting back down on the couch.

"Actually, looking at the time, how about we get some of that running in?" Blink said as he gestured towards Spectro. Upon seeing that, Spectro reached next to him and pulled out what seemed to be a training mask.

"We're going to run with these masks on and it should help to increase your speed kid. So get ready in five minutes!" Blink told Leizcio as he got up with Spectro following behind.

"Wait we?"

"Of course kid! Even pros have to train to get better!"

'Right' Leizcio thought to himself as he picked up the mask. He's never seen a mask like it so he decides to try it on. To his surprise, his breathing suddenly became more difficult. Taking it off, he wonders how exactly this is going to help him.

A few minutes pass by as Leizcio looked up what the mask does and Blink and Spectro come back into the main room of the agency.

"Ready kid? We're going to be running around the track we have until I stop." Blink said as he pointed to a door on the other side.

"Yes sir." Leizcio said getting up with his mask in hand. The three walked over there and much to Leizcio's surprise, the track looked professional but a bit compact. Blink signals him to stand in his lane and put on his mask. Leizcio put it on and could feel the mask working, lowering the amount of oxygen he was breathing in.

"Alright kid, I'm assuming it's your first time using a training mask. But that thing will help to deliver more oxygen when we're through with it! Now get ready!" Blink muffled through his mask. Spectro tapped Leizcio on the shoulder and gave him a nod that probably meant 'good luck'.

"Three"

"Two"

"One!"

A sudden bang went off and Leizcio started running as did Blink, leaving Spectro in their dust almost literally.

Leizcio was struggling with the mask but kept powering through. But he would look to his side and see Blink continuing to run by him which motivated him to catch up. Leizcio kept running multiple laps to the point where he was building up a wall of dust around the track from the sheer gust of wind from his speed. As he was about to finish another lap, he had trouble breathing and started to slow down but kept on running. Didn't take long until he fell to the floor and Blink rushed over to him and took off his mask.

"You there kid?"

"Y-yeah. cough just need to cough catch my breath." Leizcio gasped out as he was trying to speak to the best that he could. Looking down at his wrist, Blink noticed that it was already quite late and Spectro was also hitting his limit.

"Hey, you did well out here today. I think we should call it in for today since it's pretty late now. We'll come back to this tomorrow in the morning all right?" Blink said as he helped Leizcio get back on his feet.

"Sounds good, thank you sir." Leizcio managed to say as his breathing was going back to normal.

"You can drop the formalities kid! Just call me Blink!" He said as Spectro joined the two back into the agency.

Blink locked down the agency as it had reached its time to close for the time being until tomorrow. Spectro was already heading back into his room as Leizcio was about to as well.

"Hey kid!" Blink called out from the main room.

"Yes si- Blink?"

"Good job today! You did great considering using the mask for the first time! We'll get back on it tomorrow!" Blink said giving him a thumbs up. Leizcio gave a slight smirk hearing this.

"Thank you, I look forward to it." Leizcio said as went into his room. Locking it, he sits down at his desk and rummages through his backpack.

-clunk-

His vigilante suit falls onto the floor and his hoodie as well. Picking it up, he looks at the two and quickly takes a look outside.

'If that mask can help me get faster, then I could use it when I patrol as well...' Leizcio thought to himself. He hid his suit in the blankets of his bed and unlocked his door. He snuck out of his room and headed downstairs. To his relief, he found the training mask and snatched it. He quietly heads back into his room and locks his door.

He puts on the rest of his vigilante suit first, noticing that even the undersuit was starting to show signs of damage which it rarely did. But Leizcio ignored that and continued to put his mask on. Opening the window, he looks around to make sure nobody else will be able to see him.

He jumps out his window and runs out into the night yet again.
