Having rested only an hour after getting back into the agency from his vigilante patrol, Leizcio musters whatever he can to get up from bed. Even though he went on patrol nearly every night since he left, they're only blurs in his memory, the only thing reminding him were the injuries that he'd gotten that night. Each night that continued, the slower his injuries started to heal.

Getting up, he heads into the showers, washing off the blood and dirt that got on him from last night. Everything he's been doing besides his vigilante patrols and training, he's been doing the bare minimum. His body was screaming, begging for a break. But his mind stays clouded, anything to distract him from the problems he has to face when he goes back.

"Hey kid, you almost done in there yet? I needa go!" Blink muffled through the door of the shower room. It didn't even occur to Leizcio how long he's been in there and got out. He walked back over to his room and started to change into his training clothes. Heading out to the track behind the agency, he stretches and gets himself ready.

Whilst he was advised against running so much so that his speed could slowly come back to him, Leizcio continued to use it on his patrols, it was the one thing that gave him an upper hand on villains and escaping from lesser Pro-Heroes trying to catch him. He gets into a stance, ready to run. He activates his quirk but doesn't feel much of a change in his body. Regardless, he runs ahead.

However, it is cut short when his quirk suddenly stopped and he falls down, not expecting the sudden transition from his boosted speed to a normal pace. Being the stubborn kid he is, he gets back up and tries again. He focuses his energy to his legs and manages to keep his boosted speed up for a few seconds but is cut short again.

"Kid, have you been training outside of what we usually do?" Blink asked as he offered his hand to Leizcio. Leizcio was so wrapped up in his own mind trying to understand what was happening to him that he didn't even notice Blink walking over.

"Maybe a little? But it isn't right for my quirk to just start spazzing out like that!" Leizcio said as he got up, refusing Blink's assistance. Blink only sighed in response.

"I know you wanna get back to 'normal', but you need to cool it with the training and running. Your quirk needs time to get back into the swing of things."

"You don't even have my quirk! Yours is simple as hell! All you have to do is hold your breath and that's it! I have to limit how much energy I use or I'll end up burning into ashes! Don't you lecture me on quirk usage when mine is more complicated than yours!" Leizcio lashed out, being fueled by the irritation of his quirk giving out. It took Blink by surprise seeing his intern who sure, was determined but for the most part quiet, suddenly lose his temper and yell at him.

"Calm down Esperanza. I know my quirk works simply, but I've been with friends who have quirks that are about as complicated as rocket science. But with most quirks, if something's wrong or it's being strained, it'll take time to come back. Trust me on this all right?" Blink calmly responded, hoping that Leizcio could do the same as well.

In which case, Leizcio did manage to cool down and stop talking. Whether he did it out of realizing he lashed out at someone he's only known for less than a week or because he wasn't able to keep himself in check. Regardless, he responded to Blink with a simple nod.

"I get you kid, you want to be out there doing what you can with your powers. But sometimes you just need to-"

"BLINK! I SET THE EGGS ON FIRE!" Spectro came out running as a smoke alarm suddenly went off.

"Again? Just give me a minute, I'll get to it." Blink said as he let out an exasperated sigh.

"As for you kid, no training today. You need to rest up. You've done well." Blink instructed Leizcio as he ran into the building along with Spectro to deal with Spectro's seemingly horrible cooking skills.

Knowing now that there'd be no point in trying to defy Blink and train, he heads back into the agency in disappointment.

Not knowing what to do and preferring to be by himself, he heads into his room. Sitting down on his bed, he felt a sharp pain suddenly surge through his body. Taking off the shirt he had on, he could see a cut on his chest that he seemed to have gotten last night. Sighing, he reaches into his backpack to get the reserve bandages he had kept. Applying it was a pain, having to cover it himself and the reminding pain stinging him every so often.

He finishes, chest completely bandaged, and putting his shirt back on. Deciding that he might as well try and rest, hoping that his quirk will get back to normal quicker. He lays down and shuts his eyes, hoping to get a nap in.

Thanks to the cloudy skies, not much light was going into his room, giving him the environment to sleep easily. As much as he wanted to continue and train, quirk or not, his body seized this rare chance of him lying still and getting all it could from this.

As he starts to fall into a sleep, he starts to have a dream.

"Ma, it hurts!" A younger Leizcio yelled as he held onto his knee. Getting to learn how to ride a bike wasn't easy for Leizcio, and he'd always end up getting hurt in some way. This time around however, he ended up dislocating his knee.

"Shhhh, it's okay Hijo. Let me take a look at it okay?" Leizcio's mom said as she quickly went up to him. It wasn't unusual to see Leizcio do this, but he was a bit hard-headed and determined to ride his bike. Looking at his injury, she saw it much worse than other times but started to use her quirk.

"Shhhh, it's okay. See?"

Leizcio's mom didn't tend to use her quirk to heal small things, but this was a different case and her son. Her hands emanated a soft and blue glow as Leizcio's knee was put back into place. He sits there in amazement as he manages to get up and be able to walk fine again.

"Gracias ma!" Leizcio said as he ran over to his bike, eager to try again. However, he felt a hand stop him and pick him up with ease.

"Hijo, you need to wait a little bit! It's okay to keep trying, but don't forget, you need to rest after doing so much. Especially with all of this!" Leizcio's mom teased, pointing at all the bandages that Leizcio managed to use up in the past two hours of learning how to use his bike.

"Can I try again tomorrow?" Leizcio asked with excitement. His mother just smiled at him and scruffed his hair.

"Of course Hijo. But right now, let's go eat okay?" She said, holding Leizcio's hand as the two walked back into the house.

It's what Leizcio truly wanted.

Running and using his powers to save others. There was a reason why he was given this power. But yet, it's rejecting him. He knows the reason why, but it isn't something he can ignore.

He just wants to be healed, not have to wait for his quirk to act normally. Without it, he's literally powerless to help anyone.

However, a sharp and intense pain wakes him up from his dream. He feels it coming from his chest and can see a small blue glow appear. Lifting up his shirt, he notices the glow over where his scar was underneath the bandages.

Curious as to what was happening, he took off the bandages he put on earlier today. To his amazement, he could see the wound healing before his very eyes. He put his hand over where the wound was previously and felt around it. His skin healed and was back to normal.

His body on the other hand sends him a crude reminder, suddenly giving him a strong shock of electricity coursing through his chest. It took his resting moment to heal but was pushing itself to even just do that.

He reached for the nearest towel he had and bit into it, hoping to not let anyone hear him yell in pain. It took a few minutes but the pain had finally disappeared. But it helps to start settling something into Leizcio's mind.

Maybe he has been doing too much. Like Blink said, even heroes have their limits, and it's showing that Leizcio had broken his way before. The patrols, while he did continue to save people and beat villains, they've become something to distract him from the problems he doesn't want to face.

He doesn't want to face the facts that his sister really drugged him. Of course, there's no denying it happened, but to Leizcio, it hurt how she kept that from him and planned on continuing it.

He gets up and takes a look at his vigilante suit. It's been worn down to hell and barely even functions anymore. But he's needed out there, when the pros aren't around, people need someone to save them, and he has that obligation.

Yet, he looks at the suit in hesitation. He takes a second to breathe and ultimately decides to put the suit back into his backpack. However, he thinks he hears something so he goes to check outside his window.

It was very faint, but he could hear someone calling out for help. He looks at the suit he was about to put back into his backpack. He hopes that another hero will come to rescue them, but he kept hearing small shouts of help. He's supposed to be a hero, regardless of whether it was legal or not. He put his own needs to the side and puts on the suit.

Jumping out of his window, he lands lightly, ready to run towards the source. Knowing he can't depend on amplifying his speed, he has to run as fast as he normally would without his quirk. As he managed to get to the scene, he hides. He sees four people surrounding someone.

"Please work…" Leizcio whispered to himself, hoping that his body can get his speed up for once. He is granted a chance, and he manages to use the short burst to try and move the person. But… He moved through them?

"Leizcio Esperanza."

Leizcio suddenly feels a shiver down his spine and quickly turns around, looking for the voice that called to him."

The people that were there before him suddenly glitch out. He sees a fist going through one of them and Leizcio backs up before it could hit him. As he stood up, he saw three people standing before him.

"You really think you're making a difference as 'Blur' Esperanza?" A hero asked, his hands glowing with a red aura. Before Leizcio could even answer, he noticed a whip come from his right and barely dodged.

"Wasting away, breaking your body into nothing, just to be a vigilante that makes no impact." The other hero said, trying to whip him again, but fails as he manages to dodge.

However, he didn't have time to react to the punch that hit his back, sending him into a wall and leaving immense pain.

"It's time you give up. You never did, and never will amount to anything, especially as a vigilante." The hero who punched him said.

Leizcio stumbles, but he manages to stand back up. He sees himself surrounded by three pros, well, pros are too generous. More so Mashito's servants doing his dirty work.

That's the one thing Mashito knew about Leizcio. He didn't know that he was on the verge of a breakthrough, but there is one thing that will always call to Leizcio. That heroic heart of his wouldn't dare ignore a call for help. Now his sidekicks had him where he wanted.

Leizcio gets into a stance, quirkless or not, he refused to give up.
