"Do you always carry that on you?" Ochaco asked Tamashi, pointing to the fake police siren that she had used.

"Yeah, I only use it for emergencies. Let's hope that that was enough to scare off whoever was hurting Leizcio." Tamashi said as she started speeding to the signal that Leizcio's suit was giving off.

Moments prior to Leizcio's torture, Tamashi had noticed that his vitals were steadily decreasing and more worryingly, the energy from his quirk suddenly disappeared in seconds. She started driving from her home and picked up Ochaco along the way to get him.

Turning off the police siren, she starts pulling close to where the suit was on the GPS. Getting out of the car, Tamashi quietly approaches and hides as Ochaco followed suit. Taking a look around the corner, she decides to start walking in with a flashlight on.

"Leizcio? Are you…"

Tamashi was calling out to Leizcio but upon her light displaying Leizcio, she looked away in horror. Her body went cold and fear completely overtook her. She might've worked with vigilantes and seen them get roughed up over the years, but seeing this done to someone, and no less the son of her old friend, she couldn't bear to see it.

"Ochaco… Can you bring Leizcio to the car… I need a moment to gather myself." Tamashi said under shaky breath as she tried to push her fear down. But she can feel tears starting to fall down. Ochaco just nodded and slowly started moving towards Leizcio.

She could feel the fear hit her as she saw Leizcio in the light. There he was on the floor, blood dripping down to the floor as the left part of his face was smothered with blood on it. His back was clearly broken and he himself was barely responsive to the light being shined on him.

Running up to him, she tries yelling, asking if he's okay, but there's no response. He looks, but can't tell what's happening. All Leizcio was able to see was Ochaco yelling, his ears could barely hear a thing so he couldn't make out what she said.

For a brief moment, he is relieved that he was found. Maybe it wasn't over for him. He tries to move towards him but immediately falls as his body was already beyond its limits and broken. The blood leaving him left him cold as it flowed from his suit onto the floor.

Ochaco steeled herself to the best she could and used her quirk, making Leizcio float off the ground, and quickly grabbed him to make sure he didn't float away. As she walked her way back to the car with Leizcio in her hands, she stifled some tears.

Doing her best to keep her calm, she could barely do it. She knew that being a vigilante was always a dangerous thing for Leizcio and for better or for worse, he'd spend so much time doing it. But to see her best friend in this condition, the last time they talked, he was shutting himself off completely and now here he was holding on to his life by a thread. She felt a cold hand slowly pat her shoulder and saw that it was Leizcio's hand.

Mustering what he could, Leizcio manages to mutter with a slight smile,

"I'll be okay Ochaco…"

It gave Leizcio a great deal of pain to say that, but he knew that he had to give any indication that despite the brutal fight he faced, he'll be alright. He then started to feel warm tears fall on his body. He kept his smile until his consciousness faded and could no longer support himself.

Ochaco cried for a moment and quickly wiped her tears away. She'll have time to cry later, but right now, Leizcio needed to be saved. She continued walking over to Tamashi's car and slowly laid his body down and made sure he was secured down.

"Let's go, he's secure now." Ochaco said with a firm but sorrowful tone. Tamashi walked back and went to where Ochaco was with Leizcio. Without saying anything, she tore off an armored part of his suit and started wiping off the blood and tinkering with it.

"What are you doing with it?" Ochaco asked, confused as to what Tamashi is doing.

"Disabling the signal receiver and vitals tracker. And leaving proof that the 'Blur' died and with no evidence for anyone to find out it was Leizcio." Tamashi explained as she threw it back into the alley.

Getting into the car, Tamashi got ready to drive off and fix up Leizcio.

At least until some random person showed up.

"Hey, have you guys seen a kid with a tan like compl- HEY WATCH THE GUN!"

Blink was around and tried asking Tamashi about Leizcio before she pulled a gun out and right at his face.

"Who the hell are you?" Tamashi asked as she put the barrel right against Blink's forehead. Blink just held his breath as he took the gun out of her hands and disarmed it.

"I'm looking for my intern, Leizcio Esperanza. I had a suspicion that he was out at night but I couldn't find him… Wait is that him?" Blink asked as he pointed to the laying body in the car. Tamashi was surprised that Blink disarmed her like that, and if his quirk was true, then not even driving off would work. She would have to come up with an excuse to cover this up.

"We found him like this in the alleyway, we're not sure what happened and saw him beat up so we're driving him to a hospital to patch him up."

Blink sighs, knowing there's more to the story so he comes right out and says it.

"Look, I've been having suspicions that he's been a vigilante this whole time. Especially with the way he'd get random bruises and scars each morning. But I'm not here to arrest him or either of you. Just please let me follow, he's my intern and I have to do what I can to make sure he'll be okay."

Tamashi was taken aback by all of this. In her role of supporting vigilantes, she never had to deal with a pro hero confronting her. Much so when they didn't immediately threaten to arrest her. He was on the spot with the assumption but it'll have to be for later since Leizcio needs medical attention.

"Fine, you can follow us then. I'm not giving you a ride though. Use your quirk." Tamashi said as she drove off. Blink used his quirk and started following them.

"This is kind of shady…" Blink murmured to himself as he ran into the back of the hospital with Tamashi and Uraraka.

"I know, but as you can tell, it wouldn't be the best idea to tell everyone that a vigilante that's been wanted for a while now is suddenly in our hospital." Tamashi said as she guided Uraraka and Blink through the rooms. They soon reach the operating room Tamashi had made sure was empty and couldn't be recorded.

"Lay him down on the bed Uraraka." Tamashi said as she started to put on her doctor's attire. Ocahcao gently laid down Leizcio onto the bed and deactivated her quirk.

"Okay. I'm going to have to ask you two to leave the room. I need to have my focus on him." Tamashi requested as she started to get her tools ready. Blink and Uraraka get ready to leave her to her work. Before Ochaco could ask something, Tamashi answered as if she read her mind.

"Don't tell Lavania yet. Once I'm done, we'll let her know."

Ochaco nodded and quickly left the room. She saw a few chairs outside of the room and decided to sit as she waited. There she waited, hoping that Leizcio would come out alright.

"So, how'd you get to know him kid?" Blink asked Uraraka to try and make the place not be a dreadful silence.

"It was just complete coincidence the way I see it. I was out with my mom and dad to go get something from a vendor but when we were there the marketplace got raided and we were essentially held hostage. That's when he ended up making his debut… I even remember when he pushed me out of the way of that villain's bullets and he ended up taking them." Ochaco explained as she reminisced the time they had accidentally met. Blink was paying attention and nodding, allowing for her to talk about it more.

"When he beat the villains, he passed out and we hid him from the pros that made it to the scene. Thing was that when he beat them, his goggles fell off so we could all see his face. That's when I recognized him. He went to the same middle school as me. But whenever I saw him before this… He was always quiet and kept to himself, I only saw him talk when he needed to or when his one friend was with him. He just blended into the background…"

That's something that just started to hit her. She didn't think of it much since now they were in UA their years in middle school were overshadowed. But now Ochaco began to realize the person Leizcio was before all of this and before they met. It started to make sense.

He's always been hiding things, whether it was himself or what he felt. No wonder he didn't say anything when he got into situations, he just didn't want to and kept it to himself.

"You okay there kid?" Blink asked, interrupting Uraraka's thoughts.

"Yeah… I was just… remembering it I guess." Uraraka lied, still trying to process her own realization.

Before Blink could say something, his phone started ringing and he quickly answered it and moved away.

"Blink! Where are you?! And where the hell is Esperanza?!" Spectro asked wondering where he went.

"He… he got beat up. He was a vigilante and I think some villains got to him. But he's getting treatment now. Watch over the agency for now will ya?" Blink said with an exasperated tone. He didn't hear anything over the phone except a sigh from Spectro.

"I will." That was all Spectro said as he hung up. For a moment, Blink puts his head against the wall and looks down. He feels disappointment and an underlying frustration. He should've acted on his suspicions. He could've saved whatever the hell beat Esperanza down into nothing.

He then remembers he left the girl on her own since he took the phone call. He rushes back and sits back down in the chair he was sitting in.

"Sorry about that, my sidekick just wanted a checkup."

"It's okay."

The hall was then filled with silence. Uraraka was trying to think back more to the epiphany she had about Leizcio while Blink tried to keep his head up and let himself be pulled down by the disappointment he had in himself.

"Good lord Leizcio…" Tamashi muttered to herself as she looked at Leizcio with disbelief.

When she finally managed to clean off all the blood he had on his body, she noticed that he was glowing a light blue all around. His bones were healing at extreme rates, even for his quirk. But she could see that his quirk was starting to bug out. Small sparks were starting to fizzle out as his body kicked into overdrive to heal him. However, there was one part that didn't want to heal.

Leizcio's face had suffered major damage from whiplash's attack. Checking, Tamashi was able to confirm that he wasn't going to go blind. His quirk saved him before he could lose sight. But it didn't seem that it could heal the scar that it had left behind. A scar went over his eye from the damage and didn't show any chance to go away.

With his vigilante suit on a chair, Tamashi grabbed some clothes that she had stored in the room, leaving them next to Leizcio. Even if she wanted to, Leizcio's body healed too fast for her to operate. At that point, she'd have to leave him there to heal naturally at his pace. With that in mind, she took his vigilante and headed out of the room.

"Everything okay Tamashi?" Uraraka asked as she got up.

"For the most part. His body is healing faster than I can operate on so we'll have to wait a bit. In the meantime however…"

Tamashi pulls out a box of matches.

"We're going to do Leizcio a favor and destroy the suit."

Uraraka and Blink looked at each other but both nodded in agreement. Uraraka knew that this was the only way that Leizcio would give up being a vigilante. Blink knows the path that it leads toward and can't let Esperanza go down the same path. The three then walk out of the hospital ready to do what is needed.

Finding a barrel and tossing useless papers into it, Tamashi throws the suit into it. She goes to her car and starts to pour gasoline into it.

"Are you sure that the suit will actually be able to burn?" Uraraka asked with doubts in her mind.

"Yes. It might be somewhat heat resistant, but it won't be able to keep together in an open fire." Tamashi explained as she slightly distanced herself from the barrel.

Tamashi looks down at the boxes of matches in her hand. She remembers the patrols that Leizcio had gone on under her guidance. The joy he got from when he was saving others. It was great at first, but it slowly became something that Leizcio had burdened himself with. She brought him into all of this, and it was now her turn to get him out of this. She threw the match into the barrel, and the flames immediately rose and started engulfing the suit.

The fire slowly ate away at the suit as the three watched it. A sense of relief was felt across the three of them as they saw it finally being reduced to nothing but ashes. As Blink had grabbed an extinguisher from one of the nearby cases, Tamashi began to put what remained into a small bag and handed it to Uraraka who looked at her in confusion.

"I want you to use your quirk on this and throw it as far away as you can. The bag will spill once you deactivate it."

Uraraka looked down at the bag and with no hesitation used her quirk and threw it high into the sky. She waited until it was high enough and released her quirk.

With that, the dust of Leizcio's vigilante suit blew into the wind.

The 'Blur' was no more.
