"Alright, just remember, he can't take off that patch on his eye alright? I'll be back soon with Lavania." Tamashi said as she started getting into the car. Ochaco and Blink nodded in response. She drove off and left the two to handle Leizcio.

The two started heading back inside, waiting for Leizcio to get up. As they waited, Blink couldn't shake off the feeling of distress that Ochaco was trying to hide.

"You know, it's alright to be worried. I know something like this must be hard on you and I'm sorry that you had to see it happen to him." Blink said, trying to reassure Ochaco. There was a small silence, but Ochaco began to speak while she continued looking down.

"That's the thing. I'm tired of worrying so much when it's all for nothing… We warned him so many times, asking him to not continue, to just take a break for once…" Ochaco softly said with a tone of frustration but underneath it all, some sadness.

Leizcio's eyes began to open and were quickly met with the bright light of the room he was in. Seeing from just his right eye, he begins to feel over his left eye, feeling a wooly texture over it, clearly some patch on it.

He starts to feel around his chest, seeing that there was nothing new, but as he put his hand over his heart, he started to worry. It was beating normally like it used to before his quirk. He then tried to make electricity come out from his hand but to no avail as only a small spark appeared for a second before it fizzled out. Starting to panic, he tries getting up but falls down to the floor.

He started to hear footsteps approaching the door and he tried his best to get up. But his legs didn't budge a single bit, everything else could move, he's been scared to points where his body couldn't move but this felt different. His legs felt as if they were stuck and rooted in their spot.

The door opens and he is suddenly sitting on a chair. That's when he notices Blink having entered the room. Even his own perception was gone. His quirk healed him and sealed itself away from him.

"You alright kid? How are you feeling right now?" Blink asked as he found a chair to sit down.

"Where are we? And what are you two doing here?"

"Tamashi brought us here. She got you from when you got beat up and took you here and we tagged along." Blink explained.

That's when Leizcio also noticed something. His suit was nowhere to be found in the room, he'd get up and search, but his legs refused.

"Where's my suit?" Leizcio asked with an undertone of desperation.

"Gone. We burned it." Ochaco coldly said.

"What do you mean? You can't just-"

"Yes we can Leizcio, and we did so. It had to be done."

The tension in the room immediately skyrocketed as Blink watched the two with clear anger in their eyes, focusing it on each other. Before he could even open his mouth, Leizcio started to fire.

"What the hell?! Why would you do that?!"

"Why would we do that?! Are you serious Leizcio?!"

"Yes!"

"Are you that blind?! Look at yourself! You just kept burying yourself more into the 'blur' to the point that your quirk doesn't even work!"

Blink tried to speak up, but was quickly cut off before he even got the chance.

"How are you even involved in this?! What about your internship with Gunhead?!" Leizcio yelled, trying to dodge the question.

"That doesn't matter! I had to help because I was the only one close by!"

"Wait wait. You'd only know this if Lavania told you anything. And if Gunhead's agency is so close here, then how would you even get to talk to her?"

Ochaco didn't say anything as she had nothing to rebuttal with. Leizcio then came to a realization of how Ochaco got into this.

"Crimes have gone up there since I left, hasn't it?"

Ochaco still didn't say anything. She knew he was right but, admitting it would only feed into his mind that he was needed there more than his own body needs him.

"Wow. Really? Don't you see Ochaco?! This is exactly why I need to get out there! I need to help people!"

"Damnit Leizcio can't you see?! You're paralyzed! You can't even move! How do you expect to help anyone in that state?"

"I'll heal from it! Those people need my help!"

"Yes there are people that need help, but you can't be the one to do it yourself! Can't you for one minute realize just what you've done to yourself and others?!"

"What do you even mean by others?!"

"Are you kidding me Leizcio?! Your friends! Me! Tamashi! Even Lavania! You've had us all worried to death! Don't you see how painful it can be having to see you come out like this?!" Ochaco yelled as she began to tear up.

"I'm sorry! But if I'm not there the-"

"Then there'll be other heroes! Leizcio, you're not the only hero out there! Can't you get that through your thick skull?!"

Leizcio then didn't say anything to do that. He felt such anger, he knew there was a point in there but his mind was too clouded to understand it and ignored it.

"Heroes who don't know the street like the back of their hands?! Ones that are scared to use their quirk past their limits to save someone?!"

"Leizcio you know damn well that-"

"All this time, I've been busting my ass to catch up with everyone around me who already had their quirks. How the hell are you going to understand how much all of this means to me?! You had your quirk handed to you since you were born and I had to learn in a few months how to even use my quirk!"

Ochaco's face was mixed with sadness and anger but as soon as Leizcio said this, anything else was thrown out the window and frustration immediately took over. She stuttered for a second thinking of something to say before she could.

"I've had it with you Leizcio! If you can't even bother to see the damage that you do to yourself or me, then there's nothing else I have to say to you!"

Ochaco stormed out of the room, slamming the doors behind her. Blink sighed. He tried to intervene, and he knew that all of this was not good for Leizcio in the condition he was in. But Ochaco needed to release her emotions and everything, but it only seemed that the bridge between those two started crumbling immediately.

"I'll be back soon, Esperanza. Stay there." Blink said as he followed after Ochaco.

Ochaco waited outside, sitting in the cold night. She wiped at her eyes, drying off her tears. Blink catches up and sees her outside. He sighs and just sits down. He was going to say something but quickly closed his mouth as he took a second to think. Next to him sat an angry teenager, who needed to let her emotions out.

"I'm sorry about what happened, kid. I know this is tough, I know how it's like from both sides."

"What do you mean?" Ochaco asked.

"I used to be a vigilante back in my time too. They called me 'ghost'. But that's not the point. In my later years as a pro, something happened, and I just kind of shut myself off. I was the one who drove himself away from everyone because of how… frustrated I was with myself."

"Look, I get you got Leizcio as an intern but that doesn't mean tha-'' Ochaco was interrupted as Blink raised his hand slightly.

"I'm not trying to defend him. I don't know the full story, but he's clearly got his warnings before. I wish it didn't affect him so horribly, but his actions have consequences. Right now, he's just trying to deny the fact that he can't go back into it."

Blink took a quick second to sigh and continued.

"I wanted to intervene because in the state he's in, he shouldn't be yelling and be so washed up. But you clearly needed to express what you've been bottling up."

Ochaco lifted her head up a bit and her eyes started to clear up. She took in what Blink had told her, and started seeing what he meant.

As much as Leizcio was one of her closest friends, she could only be pushed so far before she hit a breaking point. Her warnings and worries were tossed to the side as he dug himself deeper.

"Thank you. I needed that." Ochaco said as she got up from where she sat. Blink followed suit and stretched as he stood up.

"You should probably head back before Gunhead notices you're missing. Would you like me to drop you off?" Blink offered as he took a glance at his phone, checking the time.

"Yes please, if you could."

The next few seconds were a blur as she saw streets passing quickly and was suddenly back at Gunhead's agency. Looking around, she sneaks back into her room.

Slowly laying down on her bed, she just looks up at the ceiling and begins to let her mind wander. Trying to take in the past few hours.

She didn't want this to happen, but whether she liked it or not, she needed it. Having Leizcio's secret to protect and keep to herself was a burden in itself. She couldn't express her worries to anyone, having to let them sit in her mind.

It didn't help that before they argued that she was starting to understand more of Leizcio's nature. She just took a deep breath in, and slowly let it out.

Her and Leizcio had a strong bridge between them that had looked unbreakable.

But the smallest of cracks began to grow and quickly

Soon enough, the bridge was broken, and there's no telling when it'll be fixed.

If it even can…
