Little full circle from 2x12…

They're waiting in line for a table, fingers intertwined as the ocean breeze comes off the pacific. "I'm telling you, baby, bagels are so much better half toasted."

Her eyes find his, brow furrowed in pure disbelief. "You're insane. Who did I marry? What did I marry?"

"Heyyy, I'm a catch."

"More like a sardine you use as bait."

"Hurtful."

She smiles gleefully before leaning in to press a kiss to his cheek, taking the sting out of her insult.

"Excuse me. I'm sorry to interrupt but do I know you?"

The investigator looks to his partner and then back to the older man, shaking his head. "No, I don't think so."

"It's just your voice sounds so familiar."

She watches the exchange between her husband and the stranger not being able to place the man either. "Did you ever maybe frequent a strip club in the early 2000s that had a Jack Dawson act?"

"No, I can't say that I did."

Her comment deserves a touché but there's just just something so intimate about it that he has to keep it bottled up for now. He takes another look at the man, there's something in his voice that sounds familiar but he can't place it. "I'm sorry, I don't-"

"Wait! Did you happen to call a radio station back in 2011 confessing your love for a coworker?"

Kensi's jaw drops before slowly rising back again as a laughing grin appears on her face. "Oh. My. God."

"Oh, I'm so sorry, I didn't mean to cause any trouble."

Shaking his head, he gives. There's no use in fighting it anymore. "Yeah, man that was me and this is the coworker. She's also now my wife." He catches her eyes, not missing the smile that spreads to her lips right along with his. They've been married for almost 3 years and he still can't get enough of introducing her as his wife.

The older man pats the blonde on the back as his face lights up. "Good for you man. I always wondered what happened to you and honestly I heard the sniffling on the line and didn't think you had the guts to…well you know."

Unable to wipe the knowing smile off her face, mismatched orbs lock with cerulean blues as they share a flash of their push and pull of never saying what they truly mean to frozen lakes to metaphors and proposals all of which led them here. "Oh, he knows."
