"Okay... Just calm yourself down Lei." Leizcio muttered to himself as he was pacing around his room.

Even though he was waiting for the chance to talk to her, he can't help but dread it at the same time. As much as he wanted this, there was that thought in the back of his mind eating away at him hoping that he doesn't mess this up whatsoever.

He continued to pace around his room but heard someone enter the room and immediately stopped.

"Hisako... Could you please start knocking before you just enter?"

"Sorry, I figured I could walk in, it was open after all."

Leizcio just sighed in response, taking a seat in his chair.

"But anyways, do you need to panic so much?" Hisako asked.

"No? I was just... walking around was all..." Leizcio said, horribly lying, only getting Hisako to look at him unsurprised.

"Look... I know you're worried about talking to that friend of yours that thi-"

"Wait, how'd you know?"

"Leizcio... I could hear you from your room."

"..."

Leizcio didn't say a thing and wasn't going to try and defend his point so he let Hisako continue.

"Even if you're nervous, you've gone up against villains before anyone I know did and yet you were still calm. Sure this is something different, but try steeling yourself a bit. You'll make no progress if you can't even mutter a word."

Leizcio was surprised to hear Hisako say something like that. But it was that helpful reminder that this is something he wants. He shouldn't stop himself from fixing his own mistakes.

"Thanks, I needed that... I think imma go downstairs real quick, You want anything?" Leizcio asked as he started to get up, his mind now not as anxious as it was before. Hisako only shook her head in response and just started to go back to her room.

As she left and closed the door, Leizcio just looked up at the bulletin board he had on the wall above his desk.

Something that he had up for quite a while, didn't have much on it except for a family photo of him, Lavania, and his mom as well as some other ones. At least back when he was in middle school before he met Ochaco.

Since knowing her, getting into UA, it's slowly been getting crowded with pictures of memories he had. Ochaco and Lei going to UA for the first time, others that were just him and the friends he made with the people in his class, The photo that Denki took when Lei got 3rd place in the sports festival, hell even a picture of Lei sleeping on his desk with tape on his eyes when Sero decided to mess with him a bit.

It was something that he took for granted when he was alone. And going back into classes made him realize all of that.

He's already done enough damage to himself and quite frankly to others. It's time he fixes that.

Taking a moment, he takes a deep breath and calms himself, ready to walk out of his room.

About to head downstairs, he's greeted by that round face he's all too familiar with.

"Ochaco?"

"Oh! Hi Leizcio. I asked Lavania if it'd be okay if I could come upstairs and she let me so..."

"Course! Uhh... no problem with it! Here, come sit down!" Leizcio quickly said, leading Ochaco to the table in their living room.

'Can't believe I forgot the time...' Lei thought to himself as he sat down with Ochaco sitting down in another chair as she put her stuff down.

While the two had a common goal in mind, there was an awkward silence between the two. It had been nearly a month since the two had even spoken to each other. They threw themselves into this, but they both knew that this was necessary.

Regardless of that being the case, Leizcio decided to step up, it was only fair that he be the one to do so.

"I... I'm really sorry Ochaco. For running away from you, even when you were trying to help. I was being stubborn. I was so bent on trying to ignore what Lavania did but I ended up ignoring you. Even when you saved me, I was...there's no going around it, I was too blind in my own anger to even try and comfort you."

Leizcio started to speak his mind without pause, his anxieties and fears were pushed back into the sidelines and he let his heart do the talking it desperately needed.

"I should've told you about what happened, not make some dumb lie instead. I was too thick-skulled to listen when you were warning me about continuing to be the blur. And what I said about you not understanding what being Blur meant to me... I... I'm sorry about that. You know how much it did mean but you were trying to save me from letting myself burn out."

Leizcio felt the scar on his eye, the slight roughness of it, his fingers starting to feel slightly warm from the tears slowly streaming down.

"I know I didn't let myself be saved back then. But even when I was a horrible friend, you still saved me. Thank you Ochaco, I know I can't change what I did, but I'll be better. And that, I'll truly promise you." Leizcio said, his eyes a bit watery as he wiped at his tears.

"Leizcio..."

He was unsure what Ochaco was going to say, while he might've said what he felt, he also wasn't looking at her and she kept quiet up until now.

"Thank you..." Ochaco said, also trying to keep her tears in check but her eyes were getting a bit watery.

"Wait don't cry! And why thank you?" Leizcio said as he quickly went to get tissues.

"I don't think either of us wanted this to go any longer... Y'know?" Ochaco asked, wiping her eyes with the tissue Lei gave her.

"Yeah, I... I missed being able to just talk to you Ochaco. I've been wanting to do this but I didn't know how I should've gone about it. I didn't want to mess it up." Leizcio admitted.

"You didn't Leizcio. I was actually kinda scared that things would've been the same."

"I know I was late, but we can try to get things back to the way they were... right?"

"Yes Leizcio, I think that'd be great." Ochaco said with a wide grin, something Leizcio hasn't seen in a long time. He forgot how infectious it was as he ended up smiling a little bit too.

A quiet moment between the two that had been filled with tension was now one of relief, one where the two's hopes are refilled.

"Hey, Leizcio."

"Yeah Ochaco?"

"I also wanna say sorry about something..."

"But Ochaco you didn-"

"I know that's what you think Leizcio, but please, let me explain." Ochaco said, making Leizcio stop talking and get ready to listen.

"I'm sorry bout the whole suit thing. I know we did what we had to but something felt off about it. You weren't in the right state of mind but... It just didn't feel right the way we did it. Like it wasn't the right way to do it."

Leizcio was there and remembered back to that day. He remembers a whole lot of anger, yet it didn't really revolve around the suit all that much, it was just the catalyst to his actions.

"Ochaco, I'm glad you're telling me, but you did the right thing."

"What?"

"I think that it was about time I hung up my 'career'. I was considering leaving it that night actually. That night, I was up thinking about how it had become a distraction, just a way for me to run away from my problems instead of facing them. I was so close to not continuing being Blur anymore..."

"But... what made you go out that night then?"

Leizcio was quiet for a second. He contemplated telling her what happened and how he ended up getting that scar. But not communicating was one of the reasons why they got into this mess in the first place. Ochaco deserves to at least know the truth.

"I heard a cry for help. I... I couldn't resist not helping out someone if I had the chance. But that ended up being fake. It was a ruse. These 'heroes' knew my name. It was all a trap to do me in."

"Seriously?! But heroes can't just-!"

"I know, I know. But these heroes weren't regular ones. They were sidekicks of Mashito that he proba- no did send to deal with me. They even used some kind of quirk removing bullet on me and... yeah..." Leizcio explained, not wanting to finish the thought of how he got his scar.

"Please tell me there's something we can do Leizcio! That damn father of you kidnapped you and now this?! There has to be something, anything!" Ochaco said in an enraged tone. She couldn't stand to see that father of Leizcio's ruin him again. But much to Ochaco's disappointment, Leizcio shook his head.

"It'd be my word against his. He's somewhere ranked in the 20s on the hero board and I'm just some, well... used to be a vigilante. I'd probably be arrested if I came out with the information and I don't think he'd be dealt the same fate even if I did." Leizcio explained with a bit of distaste, also wishing that it hadn't been the case. Ochaco only sighed in response, also disappointed in how Mashito wouldn't be able to be held responsible.

"But what happened happened. I can only hope that he gets what's coming to him."

"Yeah..." Ochaco said slightly defeated.

"Actually, want me to walk you home Ochaco? It's already dark outside and late." Leizcio pointed out as he checked the time on his phone.

"Crap I forgot about the time! Yes please!" Ochaco said looking at her own phone, getting up from her chair.

The two go and head outside to walk to Ochaco's home. The night was lightly illuminated by the soft lamps on the streets they walked that would flicker every now and then. It even started to get a bit cold as the night breezes would go by them.

But despite the cold night, the two were feeling the warmth of a reborn friendship. It's not the same as it was where they were before, but it was a fresh start that the two wanted. Thanks to Ochaco's home being close, it didn't take long for them to be there.

"Thanks for walking me home Leizcio. Go make sure you get some rest okay? We still have school tomorrow." Ochaco reminds him as she unlocks her door, Leizcio standing by the front.

"Course. And Ochaco?"

"Yeah Leizcio?"

"Thank you."

A small grin on Ochaco's face appeared.

"Thank you too Leizcio."
