CHAPTER 03: Seeking the Truth (Part 02)

Opening Remarks: This is the second part of Chapter 03 of this Lady Fairy AU. Once again, I wish to apologize for my 2+ year-long absence due to the stuff happening around me and just overall trying to get back to the writing mood. As mentioned in the (long) End Notes of the first part, this part will start containing the portions from the Canon that is more in line with the whole superhero / supervillain concepts we have come to expect from Miraculous Ladybug but for this Lady Fairy AU.

Stick around at the End Notes if you want to read some notes and references that I added. I hope you all enjoy my story, and if you want, leave a comment since I would like to reply to them when I can, and I hope I can continue writing more on this!

"Alya still hasn't messaged any of us, huh?" A saddened voice broke the silence as Nino and Adrien looked at their blind friend as they talked amongst themselves in the classroom.

"No, she hasn't. I wouldn't be surprised if she's just not allowed to with how she's being punished for her stunt," Nino added lowly before he turned to their model friend.

"You sure you couldn't pry a bit more out of Chloé or Sabrina with what really happened during their meeting with Principal Damocles days ago, Adrien? I was there at the lockers, but I am still in the dark about it."

"Sorry Nino, Chloé would shut down anything that had to do with that incident. She was honestly also looking really busy planning something with Sabrina . . . something about the hotel," Adrien murmured out the answer, knowing it would give no substantial answer for the three friends' burning inquiries but continued.

"She did seem more at ease after the first day she saw Alya was not in school, and I heard her make a passing comment that Alya should have never snooped where her nose doesn't belong."

None of them could argue with that comment since they all still choose the side sadly against their suspended friend, and now it's been a week since. Before they could continue reminiscing, Nino caught chance of someone who could give them more tangible answers.

"Hey, Max!"

The said bespectacled classmate of theirs was passing by them holding a shopping bag filled with books when Nino's greeting caught him.

"Hello Adrien, Marinette and Nino. Do you guys need something from me . . . and I hope it is not help with the Physics homework. I already have Kim and Alix to handle with that." Sighing in jest at the thought of his two friends, he went over to see what they needed him for.

"Th-that's right. Max, you're the one asked by the teachers to give Alya her modules for all the classes she missed due to suspension, right?"

"That is correct, Marinette. I was asked since they trusted me to make sure she would receive them . . . and because I live close enough to where she lives, so it only made logical sense." Realizing they finally have someone who at least interacted with their despondent suspended friend during her days away from school, Marinette decided to take the opportunity.

"I-is Alya doing alright, Max? P-please, we're just really worried about her because she hasn't contacted us since . . . the argument we all had with her when she got suspended." Muttering the last part did not stop her two friends nor Max to hear what Marinette said and Max felt a tinge of sympathy for all of them as he sat down to answer their questions.

"Well on the first day, I did not actually get to see Alya. I met with her mother who had a day off. She did say that Alya looked severely haggard even when she woke up, saying something about Alya having had nightmares. . . which to be fair was because it was the first day of her suspension when she was severely punished the day before." Max cleared his throat in apology over the sore subject and decided to continue onto more positive aspects.

"We-well fear not to you guys, because after the first day Alya was the person whom I was interacting with when she came to receive her modules. She was still admittedly dejected but was eventually happy she got to meet someone every day. Funny enough, around the third day she asked me if she could borrow books on computer coding. She's been borrowing them alongside the school modules since, saying how interesting it was."

"Coding books?" Marinette couldn't help but quip in inquiry over that new bit of information.

"Yes! It seems that aside from her usual punishments of what I assume is having to do chores, finish her modules, and not being able to freely use the internet as usual, Alya told me she picked up on about computer coding from old textbooks laying around their home, found them interesting and eventually asked me for more current versions. Despite what I am assuming is a limited or monitored usage of her computer due to her punishment, she finds time in self-learning about the wonders of computer coding!" Max had a slightly more excited tone with the last part of his answer, denoting how thrilled he was to have a fellow classmate see the wonders of learning technology.

"W-wait, Max . . ." Catching the boys' attention as they pondered over Alya's newfound hobby, Marinette spoke up with a meek voice that Adrien was trying very hard not to blush over.

"Is . . . is it okay if I can join you in bringing those books to Alya after class?" Finding herself feeling the gazes of the three boys despite her blindness, Marinette felt the need to stammer out her reasonings.

"I-it's just that I really want to talk to her and just see if she's okay . . . and just maybe knowing if she might still be mad at us for not supporting her even if she was on the wrong . . . I-I mean if that's okay with you since I know you're also pretty busy yourself!"

Max and Nino couldn't help but find their blind classmates cute with her reasonings, since they understand that the silence must be tearing up Marinette badly with how their last interaction ended. Adrien just thought how cute his blind classmate was, period.

"W-well I do not think it is against rules to have someone help me bring those modules and extra books to a suspended classmate."

"R-really?" Nino chuckled over Marinette's reactive reply as he sighed in defeat, all while Adrien smiled seeing his friend bubble in glee.

"Aww man, I wish me and Adrien could go, but I need his help with Chemistry and we already agreed to just study at the library."

"Yeah, I hope you can at least update us somehow if she's doing alright after, Marinette."

"Well, if Marinette manages to cheer up Alya enough to talk, I can let them borrow my laptop so that they can greet you guys as well. While I understand Alya is being punished with restricted internet privileges, it does not mean she cannot borrow someone else's device to just give a much-needed friend update."

"Aww, thank you, thank you, thank you, Max! You are so getting a Dupain-Cheng treat on me for doing this!"

Reaching over to where she knows Max was, she gave the perplexed classmate a friendly side hug, not ever noticing in her glee the embarrassed blush from Max, the light chuckle from Nino over the spectacle, and the smile yet admittedly slight twinges of envy from Adrien as he also looked on seeing their blind friend be so happy.

"Make that your parents' amazing éclairs and you got a deal."

"Deal!"

The trip was short after class, except for the part where true to Marinette's word she managed to get a box of éclairs, along with a smaller box of cookies for Alya.

"Do you want to knock on the door or should I?" Max knew that his blind classmate was mulling over how to present herself in front of Alya. Getting only a meek nod from her because she felt more self-conscious, Max knocked.

"Alya, it's me, Max. I brought the modules and coding books you wanted . . . also some delicious cookies!" Max couldn't help but add in the last part since he hoped that would help his blind classmate get more resolve in talking; that is if Alya wanted to talk to her friends in the first place.

"Hey Max, thanks for the stu—"

Silence permeated as Alya opened her door to see Max with the books, but also her best friend holding onto a small confectionary box like it was her lifeline. Max decided to help break the ice.

"Marinette wanted to come see you, she even brought you some cookies from her bakery as a gift."

Alya found herself in a position she felt like she was not ready to undertake just yet.

"O-oh, that's cool . . . I jus-just don't know if now—" Her lame excuses to lamely excuse herself from this awkward situation were cut short by a slightly more determined Marinette.

"A-Alya! I really wanted to come see you, be-because I was worrying about you and about our last talk together . . . we all were worried about you . . . so please, can we talk?"

"I-I . . . sure." Barely murmuring the last part, Alya allowed her two classmates into her home, thankful that no one was around at the moment. Sitting down in her living room, Alya tried to put aside the coding books she has been self-learning to make room for Max's stuff, along with the box of cookies from Marinette who still wanted to talk to her.

"A-Alya, listen I . . . I wanted to come here because I wanted to apologize over what happened the last time we talked." Steeling herself forward, Marinette continued.

"I am sorry if me, Nino and Adrien ganged up on you regarding your punishment. We have always loved your passion for your journalism, you know we do, but we always hoped that you would also rein it back in and know your limitations of like where it might become too much. We weren't trying to dishearten you and go on about how we told you so . . . We were always just worried that you would get yourself into trouble that you might even get hurt in the process . . . and that we couldn't be there for you when it does happen. And with what happened with Chloé, maybe we were too hard on you because we felt . . . I don't know, like vindicated. . . but also extremely guilty for feeling right because of how much it hurt you in the end . . . so what I am trying to say is, I really hope you could forgive us for making you feel like that, Alya. I am so sorry!"

Crying immediately ensued after the speech, with Max was already prepaed with a box of tissues on hand. Giving her space, Max watched as they used the tissues to dab away tears. A bit of sniffling and composing herself more, she looked towards her classmate and best friend.

Yet failed as Alya looked to Marinette once more.

"Ma-Marinette! I am the worst! I am so sorry!" Sobbing uncontrollably, Alya latched onto Marinette like her life depended on it. She lost her composure after hearing the heartfelt apology and tried to remain strong but knew she could not. Both Max and Marinette allowed her to just let her emotions flow out, with Marinette stroking her hair and giving her calming words. After giving her the much-needed crying minute or two, Alya regained some actual composure while continuing to wipe her face down.

"I am sorry for breaking down like that too, along with the amounts of sorry I owe to you and the others . . . It's just that . . . I was an angry idiot who took out her frustrations to her friends who were right to tell me off for going overboard. I was so caught up in the moment of proving I was a journalist in seeking the truth, that I ended up being nothing more than a lousy snooper . . . trying to prove to everyone that what I was doing was for the good of the masses. In reality, I just pried into other people's business. I messed up so badly that I was so scared of seeing you or Nino or Adrien because I thought you guys hated me . . ."

Barely could Max hear the last few words Alya murmured out inaudibly, yet Marinette, who was closer had better hearing, could.

". . . it was no wonder I dreamt I was being Vesseled."

Alarms shot through Marinette's mind as she thought she felt a faint presence, a very subtle malignancy somewhere in the apartment. Nooroo always told her that she always had a remarkable perceptiveness to emotions, and her now being the present Miraculous wielder of Transformation gave her a more heightened sense, amongst other things. Careful as to not let that just be her paranoia kicking in due to what she heard, Marinette decided to refocus on just comforting her friend.

"Alya, you know we would never hate you just because. We admit that we were tough on you, but we were just worried; we'll always be friends, okay?"

Both friends hug each other in apology and Max couldn't help but smile at how they managed to mend their friendship, even getting him to shed a slight tear.

"S-sorry for making you watch these sappy tears and apologies, Max!" Both girls couldn't help but giggle with still slight teary eyes over realizing they still had their classmate watch the whole ordeal.

"No problem, Marinette. I am happy you and Alya could make up."

"I just wish I could also apologize to the boys too for this . . . especially Chloé, but I doubt that's going to happen."

"W-well I cannot offer you help in apologizing to Chloé of all people . . . but I can help you communicate your apologies to Nino and Adrien." Fishing out his laptop from his backpack, Max made quick work to log in and open up a messenger app.

"I am assuming that as part of your punishment you are heavily restricted in using the Internet, yes? Well . . . let's just keep this as a secret among the three of us, I already got a nice bakery compensation from Marinette for this."

"Right! Thanks, Max!"

"Oh wow . . . that helps a bunch, Max!"

Both girls side-hugged their nerdy classmate as he finished setting up a video chat to connect to Nino; the screen links up as it now showed said DJ and Adrien Agreste together in what appears to be the school's library. Both Nino and Adrien were surprised to see their classmate Max being hugged by the two girls.

"Is . . . is this your way of telling us you're getting all the ladies now, Max?" Nino added with a sense of humor that got Adrien a hearty chuckle.

"Yes, I was going to tell you that Alya and Marinette have made up and I am just their third wheel," Max sarcastically retorted back which made the two girls playfully smack him while facing towards the video chat.

"Hey, Nino! Hey Adrien!"

" 'Sup little Mari, it seems some tears were shed but it looks like y'all made up huh?"

"Hey Alya, I hope you're doing alright now." Adrien tried to not be awkward in the video chat since he still remembers how he was the main instigator of siding with Chloé before Alya ran off from them.

". . . before you start overthinking there, Agreste, know that I am fine and . . . honestly, I am sorry to you both. I talked and cried and hugged it out with Marinette, but I also want to apologize to the both of you too. I doubt I can ever get Chloé to ever forgive me but please know that I really messed up, I was really angry because of the punishment . . . and that I realized I was just in the wrong the whole way. I hope you guys can also forgive me."

"Aww, we forgive you, Alya, and we're happy you're doing alright again!" Adrien nodded in agreement with Nino's words before hearing someone lightly shushing the two teens from their place in the library.

As Nino diverted the slightly lessened volume chat to Alya's new coding hobby, which stirred a plentiful discussion from Alya's beginner yet enthusiastic knowledge to Max giving his own more adept knowledgeable but just as enthusiastic inputs, Adrien looked to see where he saw his blind friend Marinette listening to the conversation. He smiled over how much she was just smiling as well, both feeling like there was peace once again.

If only they knew.

"Also, Max. I might need your big tech brain help for this. I have been noticing this weird symbol on my phone. Can you give it a check?" Handing him her smartphone, Max could only ponder out loud what he was seeing when he opened her screen and checked what the issue was.

"Huh, that's a peculiar symbol . . . hmmm, must be some sort of new annoying malware, worst case a virus."

Alya and Max, sans Marinette due to her lack of vision, could only speculate over the innocuous-looking blue symbol appearing on her screen before it started glowing.

The Peacock Miraculous user allowed his creation to feed. He allowed his Asura to take time in gathering whatever data it could get from the wannabe journalist girl's phone. Mainly through her personal files, such as her photos, videos, and even LadyBlog drafts.

Communicating with his infestation like Asura, the man in deep blue shades found a peculiar find that gave him something to work out on, amongst all the other outlandish drafts he thought were far too insane to consider in his time to strike. Le Paon needed to have a solid chance to pounce at his foes and catch them unawares; thus, he does not need any insane-sounding theories as options.

'I need to make a calculated risk.'

"A certain 'Butterfly and her Cat' staying at the Le Grand Paris Hotel could be where Lady Fairy and Chat Noir, so it says," Le Paon stated out loud, but a part of him could not help but consider that idea before something else from that messy blog article draft further grabbed his attention.

"Rumors speculate that Le Grand Paris is also where Parisian police enforcement is planning to set up their main signal hub for all the security cameras around Paris to be connected, as to have better surveillance over the area during Asura attacks."

Le Paon remembered hearing about that one rumor, and with what connection he had, he was certain that was more of a certainty. Realizing what amazing results he could achieve should he have control of Paris' cameras using the supposed central signal hub, Le Paon decided the waiting game was finally over.

"Now is the time to make your appearance known my Asura. Now is the chance to strike!"

"Woah, what's happening Max!?"

"I-I do not know, Alya! . . . I have never seen a virus do something like this before!"

". . . Guys get down!"

Marinette pushed Alya down, which in turn pushed Max down as he dropped the smartphone far from them to the other side of the living room as the blue glowing started becoming brighter. Even without seeing the bright blue glow, Marinette realized what she imagined sensing was no paranoia.

'It's an Asura!'

The phone vibrated rapidly until the bright blue light surged out of its container as Alya and Max, sans Marinette, could see a tube made up of what seems to be bright blue light depicting code corporeally manifest out her phone. It wriggled and coiled around itself in the air as it filled up the side of Alya's living room, like a long twisting worm or snake made of digital; its cylindrical-like body a meter or so in diameter. Aside from its long body made up of various numbers, symbols or letters typically known in computer coding, the only other noticeable characteristic was that one end of its ever-elongating body projected out in a sort of fan or flower-like structure.

Like a peacock pronouncing its tail feathers.

Not bothering to even attack the children, the creature looked towards them before striking the laptop in such a rush that it instantly went inside despite its incredibly long body. A moment or two passed before the three classmates got up due to hearing screams from the other end of the video chat. Some from Nino, some from Adrien, and most from other students or faculty from the school.

"Woah what the ever long f—"

"Nino, duck!"

"We've got to get out of here Adri—"

"Ahhhh!"

"Wh-what is that thing!"

"Teacher, I am scared!"

"Get back you digital snake, er, creature monstrosity!"

Alya and Max huddled together as Marinette listened to what was happening. The video call showed that the entity that zipped into Max's laptop has now appeared inside the school, still endlessly coiling and twisting while floating in the air. The creature started using its pronounced fan-like end to shoot blue electric streams at certain targets: smartphones, computers, and other similar gadgets. For every device it targeted, it seemed to grow longer before it somehow noticed the laptop it came out of. An eerie neon blue symbol started glowing in front of the fan projecting end of it, and as though it was looking straight into the camera onto Alya's very core it zapped at the camera, and the signal became lost.

No one made any sound or movement over what transpired. Suddenly, a phone scared the ever-loving wits about the three teenagers as Max decided to answer his phone by putting it on the loudspeaker when he saw the caller ID: Nino Lahiffe.

"Nino? Nino!? Are you there?"

"Y-yeah, I am good, Max. I managed to help Adrien vacate the area when that blue worm-snake thing straight out of World of Fantasy started frying up devices left and right. It even fried up the laptop we were using . . . I am so screwed when my parents find about that!"

"Nino, please tell me if you and Adrien are alright?" Marinette finally talked out after having only her fear kicking in the whole time as she could not see what was happening, only making guesses based on the video call's screams and the stunned silence from Alya or Max during the ordeal.

"Yeah, me and Adrien are fine. I am actually on my way home since the school is being closed off due to thing— Asura's attack. Adrien said he had to go home as well and try to warn his neighboring area about what we saw."

"Wa-wait, is that thing, the Asura, still at school?" Marinette voiced out in extreme worry and concern over the realization further kicking in her mind.

"N-no, that thing fried a bunch of the phones and PC's at school, started to look longer before it started like worming its way to who knows where . . . I don't know about you guys, but I think it's better to stay safe at your places and hide your phones or stuff that seems to connect to the internet." The message ended with a click as silence permeated the room once again.

". . . it's going to the Hotel."

Max and Marinette whipped their heads to where Alya's whispered voice was at, where she picked up her thrown smartphone. The same phone that had the Asura's first appearance. Walking to where she knew Alya was standing and holding back the wave of foreboding, Marinette held her best friend's arm as she comforted her, while all three came to the same conclusion: Alya was Vesseled.

Alya was Vesseled, and her Asura took the form of a sort of physical computer virus targeting devices to grow, all while moving towards an unknown goal.

". . . are you sure, Alya?" Marinette did not mean to start confronting her with a hard-hitting question. As much as Marinette needed to be there as her friend, she also needed some potential leads because of her other role as one-half of Paris' heroic saviors against those Asura monsters. Feeling a nod from Alya, they allowed her to sit down on her couch, clutching onto her smartphone as she relayed her views.

"I-I had a pretty intense nightmare the night I was punished . . . I woke up severely drained and I kept remembering how other victims described their experiences of being Vesseled. I tried to rationalize it with how it was just a stressful dream and that there weren't any Asura attacks, even though I just knew in the back of my mind it was something more than that— that's also why I tried to avoid talking to people aside from Max." taking a sigh as to try and ameliorate the anxiety forming within her, Alya knew it was a losing battle.

". . . but now that— that Peacock Virus appeared like that it pretty much confirms it! Now that it possibly read through my files, it must think the heroes are in Le Grand Paris Hotel! This is all my fault!" Fresh new tears cascaded down Alya's face as the full vocalization of her worst fears broke through her limits. Marinette just hugged her friend as much as she could as she wishes she could do more for Alya, while still realizing she needed to do her job. Thankfully, Max was there to help.

"Alya, this was not your fault. You were used and exploited by that bad person. Le Paon used his power on you while you were asleep, where you were at your most vulnerable and incapable of escaping. The fact he targeted a teenager going through something is bad enough, but to target them in their sleep is unforgiveable."

"Max's right, Alya. You may have had some faults but what he did to you was horrible beyond belief. You are just as much of a victim of being Vesseled as the other victims, okay?" Somehow relieved when she felt a nod of assurance from Alya, both Max and Marinette released a tense breath of relief over the shocking news.

"I should get home already; I need to make sure our neighboring areas are safe. I will also relay this warning to everyone to try and avoid the hotel and the path going there in case they run into the Peacock Virus Asura . . . do not fret Alya, you're not at fault for this, okay?"

"You go on ahead, Max. My place is too far right now, and I think I will be safer here with Alya. I am sure my parents already heard the news."

Giving his two classmates reassuring smiles, the two girls were left by themselves.

"Thanks for sticking by me, Marinette. You're a really great friend . . . I still just wish I could do more for the people of Paris." That's when genius struck for Alya. Removing herself from her friend momentarily, she grabbed her phone stand and her phone charger to see if her phone was still working. A ding and lit screen proved correct.

"I know my parents are going to kill me for this . . . but I need to help the people, for real this time."

Realizing where Alya was going with this, Marinette removed herself from the vicinity by asking to use her bathroom, which Alya nonchalantly let her go. Steadying the video camera app to be pointed at her face, Alya pressed record.

'Screw getting more punished for this. I need to suck it up and own my mistakes!'

Chat Noir, having transformed as soon as he found a hiding spot after separating from Nino, already looked from his rooftop vantage point to see the digital looking blue Asura slowly growing in length as it seems to consume devices around it and then continue its way through the Parisian streets. All while still trying to figure out where it's headed.

'Is it heading to the Eiffel Tower? The Louvre?'

Suddenly, he got a message from the small screen from his trusty Miraculous staff. Never getting any substantial answers to this when asking his lazy cheese loving Kwami how such magic could somehow work well with the current technologies of the present, if not more, he saw that it was a notification for a video being livestreamed from the LadyBlog.

"Hello everyone, this is Alya and . . . actually I am breaking the rules for making this video but right I couldn't care less on that . . . I know who the person Le Paon Vesseled to make that Asura running amok on our beautiful city . . . it was me." Chat Noir could hear collective gasps from the streets below as he knew plenty of people were watching the LadyBlog's current livestream event.

"He exploited my emotions, especially while in my sleep— which honestly, rude— but I just know that Le Paon's Asura, the Peacock Virus, read through my personal files on my phone, and I know it's on its way to Le Grand Paris Hotel! I-I can't give exact reasons as to why but please to all the citizens of Paris, try to stay away from that general area, hide— or even better turn off your devices because it'll fry them, and just wait for our heroes to kick that Asura's butt! . . . Chat Noir and Lady Fairy. I-I know this is probably a one to million chance you might be listening in on this livestream since this blog was dedicated to trying to unveil your identities, but please believe me when I say I am really sorry for all the trouble me and this blog was giving you in revealing your secrets. I hope you guys can defeat this evil. Please help us, please save Paris."

The livestream ended just as quickly as it started, but Chat Noir felt the genuine sincerity from Alya's words. Both from her apology and from her tip on where it could possibly be heading. Deciding to try and slow down the Asura's path until he gets the help from Lady Fairy to quell this digital virus turned real, Chat Noir leaped off his rooftop perch and into the fray with one last thought in mind.

'I just hope Chloé and the people in the Hotel are staying safe as well.'

"My, my, how grand has been my first few days stay here in your father's hotel, is it not Miss Chloé?" An eccentric but elegant woman in her 70's was lounging at her own suite's private balcony, her black kitten named Prince IV enjoying her mistress' touch as it snuggled alongside her.

"Of course, ViVa— I mean Madame Victoria Valentina, I made absolute sure that your stay here in Le Grand Paris would live up to its namesake, if not more. It is important for my family and the hotel to ensure every guest who has graced our halls are living a life of extravagance . . . and away from the prying eyes when they need to get away from it all." Chloé admitted that the last part of her spiel also affected her. She drowned herself in all the planning and catering for the celebrity because deep down she also wanted to get away from what transpired almost a week ago.

'. . . stay strong Chloé.'

"Well, for someone so young yet so experienced, you my beautiful dear have done a 'très bien' (very good) job at doing it . . . and you can call me Madame Victoria— not a lot of people get to say it, so own that privilege, Miss Chloé." Further enjoying the lavished privacy of her stay with her cat, the celebrity gave the blonde heiress not only a compliment for how well she's been enjoying her hotel stay but even to Chloé herself for making it possible. The blonde teenager excused herself away from the celebrity to allow the multi-media star to enjoy her private stay until she was alone in the hallways of the private V.I.P. suites.

And then start doing an excited but quiet giddy dance for herself as she released all the positive emotions she was feeling over a job well done.

'Oh hell to the yeah!'

Raising a fist in the air in victory, she immediately got a call on her phone from her close friend and secretary of sorts Sabrina, who she had stationed on the ground floor to help coordinate ViVa's luxurious stay. And by the sound of distress from her bespectacled friend, it seemed Chloé gave herself an early celebration before the real trouble began.

"Chloé, we have bad news. Reports say there's an Asura attack happening and that it's based off like a computer virus but real . . . what's worse is that a quick livestream from the LadyBlog stated that the Asura attack is worming its way to the hotel!"

"The LadyBlog!? From that wannabe journalist!?"

"Y-yeah Chloé . . . Alya seemed to have outed herself as the Vessel, sincerely apologized, and then said the Asura also likes to destroy devices like smartphones or computers!"

Tinges of anger and fear started clawing its way onto Chloé's mind, which in a normal scenario would mean she would usually start screaming and then hiding. But right now, Chloé was in her professional mode, and she needed to make sure ViVa's stay here was one of the best the celebrity has ever had, to hell with Le Paon and the Asura. Chloé got the privilege of getting to say 'Madame Victoria', and a 'Miss' with her own first name by thee ViVa herself!

Taking a few deep breaths while calculating her plan of action, she spoke to Sabrina on her phone.

"Sabrina, you said that the Asura seems to feed off from devices that use WiFi right? Coordinate with the IT people to make sure that our usual systems are turned off, while you also try to coordinate with the ground staff to appease our remaining guests. I'll send a message to everyone in the staff to remain calm, turn off their devices, and board up their workplaces if it comes to that. We should all communicate via non-WiFi means, like text or phone lines for the meanwhile. We cannot have panic destroy this hotel at all costs!"

"Wh-what about ViVa?!"

". . . don't worry, Sabrina. I'll just keep her up here where she's most likely safe. Her suite is very much the most private one of them all, and I doubt she will keep her phone on when she's busy relaxing. She won't know a thing!" Giving her friend a determined yet reassuring smile, she turned off her phone and its internet connectivity. Chloé reapplied some deep breaths before looking through her phone for things she can do to keep ViVa unaware of the actual dangers they are all in.

'So much for that early victory dance, but I guess a hotel manager's job is never done.'

As Marinette navigated through Alya's apartment, she went for the bathroom inside the parents' bedroom, as she remembered that bedroom being the farthest away from the living room. Careful as to make sure she locked the door, Nooroo came out of his hiding spot in one of her ponytails to give her the clear.

"Marinette, time is of the essence. I am sure you already have your Champion of choice ready?" Nooroo smiled seeing as his Chosen pulling out the Miraculous brooch from the inner pocket of jacket, careful as to not fiddle too much with the hidden necklace she always wears. The same necklace that contains a small bottle charm containing minute butterflies.

Butterflies that seem more than what meets the eye.

"You're right Nooroo, I think she is the best person for the job!" Putting on the brooch at her shirt's collar, she made quick work with her transformation.

"Nooroo, Wings Flutter!"

Transformed into the Butterfly Miraculous wielder known as Lady Fairy, she opened the bottle charm which allowed the tiny butterflies to manifest outward into their actual Fae forms.

"As to not incite suspicion, circle around the apartment until you enter from the balcony next to the living room, okay my Fae?" Lady Fairy whispered out her command as it flew away. As she gave the Fae time to sneak out the bathroom window to enact the order, Lady Fairy smiled to herself since she could lightly hear, through her Fae, the warning and apology Alya was giving in her livestream and knew she was making the right choice.

As Lady Fairy heard the recording was finished, she let her Fae land gently onto the smartphone, and immediately did she reach a mental connection with her best friend who gasped at seeing the butterfly-like manifestation before it disappeared into the object.

"That was a lovely apology, LadyBlogger."

For every mental scenario Alya imagined in getting to communicate with the elusive Butterfly Miraculous heroine, she never imagined stunned silence would be her actual outcome. Thankfully, Lady Fairy decided to break the ice for her to finally find the voice within herself.

"May I ask for your name, Mlle. LadyBlogger? Or would you rather I keep calling you as such?"

"N-no! I-I mean I am so sorry . . . I am Alya Césaire . . . I was— er, am the LadyBlog owner."

"Well then, it is a pleasure to finally meeting you, Alya. I wish we could chat some more, but I am needed to help stop the Asura with Chat Noir . . . and I am requesting for your help in stopping it."

For a moment Alya was just overjoyed at the prospect of being chosen by Lady Fairy, but she felt her anxieties and reality rising against her.

"B-but you basically heard my last livestream, right? I was the cause of that monstrosity! I-I was that Asura' Vessel because of how troublesome I was in uncovering your identities . . . why would you choose me, Madame Lady Fairy?"

Giggling a little over how overly formal and shy Alya was being at this communication, Lady Fairy continued with her calming demeanor.

"I chose you, Alya, because I could sense in your heart that you really have changed for the better. I see in you someone who has learned hard from her mistakes, and now wishes to make progress towards improving oneself and helping others . . . I wish to give you this chance to help. Please Alya Césaire, may I entrust you with this chance and be my Champion?"

Feeling the calming words from her request, Alya felt further at ease in realizing she has this golden opportunity. It will be a tough ordeal, some people might still look at her as the one at fault, and everyone except her and Lady Fairy will never know it was her, the Vesseled LadyBlogger, who was chosen to take down her own Asura. Yet Alya finally understood what her friends were telling her when they said that there was magic in the mystery. That some mysteries should be kept as mysteries. Not just to protect them, but to also keep the magic within the mystery fully alive.

"I do, Lady Fairy. I wish to help you, Chat Noir, and everyone in Paris."

And with that confirmation, she felt more magical and more alive than ever before.

Without a second thought after the transformation was completed, the Champion formerly known as Alya Césaire leaped out her balcony onto the Parisian rooftops to finally start helping defeat the Asura menace.

Another quick dodge and swipe at the lashing end of the Asura proved fruitful as the non-fan shaped end, its tail probably, lost another chunk of its digitally made real body, and Chat Noir could tell it was getting peeved. It did lose a good chunk of its length when it faced off the Cat Miraculous wielder.

'Another segment down!'

Not long after the livestream's end and everyone clearing the general area of the hotel, Chat Noir was ensuring he could keep the Peacock Virus Asura away from the building as much as he could. He was thankful people listened to reason and turned off all their internet and internet-based technology around them, which made it easy for the superhero in black to face the Asura, without it having a chance to sneak past him if he has anything to say about it. The Asura once again lashed out, but before Chat Noir could dodge then swipe at it, the tail end smacked his torso and ricocheted him into the air like a ragdoll.

"Ahhh!"

Crashlanding into the hotel's glass entrance doors, Chat Noir staggered back up.

"Crap, that's gonna sting in the morning . . ."

Seeing the Asura have the glowing symbol on its fan-shaped end, which is probably its head, as though Le Paon himself was leering at him through his monstrosity, the hero braced himself when he saw the other end about to lash at him.

Suddenly, Chat Noir saw the long elongating entity be peppered on its side by a barrage of whitish purple light before it could finish its attack. The entity now on the floor, with parts of its coding textured body missing chunks, wobbled back up as the fan-shaped head looked to who or what attacked them. A small handheld object whizzed by ir, but it did not hit the Asura. While it was still in mid-air, the object emitted an intense white and purple light and detonated like a bomb. Chat Noir, through his heightened senses, managed to see what that small brick-looking grenade was before it exploded.

It was a smartphone.

As the light faded and the debris settled, Chat Noir got a good look of the same smartphone still intact. And the Champion holding onto it.

"Sorry for the explosive entrance . . . still getting used to these powers!" The Champion in whites and purples faced her bewildered partner as Chat Noit got a good look at Lady Fairy's new chosen hero.

The Champion wore a wide-collared cyberpunk style coat that ended above her knees while the sleeves ended slightly below the elbows; the coat itself was in an off-white color and various accents that accentuated the look were colored in various dark and light purple shades. Under her coat, there was a dark purple bodysuit, lined with black and white, that reached down to meeting slightly below knee-length boots styled and colored similarly as her coat. From the end of her coat's sleeves, the same bodysuit continued from her arms all the way to her hands as gloves. Each of the glove's fingers ended with an additional nail-like extension that are each connected via small wires that meet into the silver cuffs on her wrists. She also wore a silver utility belt over her coat with pockets at each side; a symbol like a WiFi signal engraved in the main buckle. The upper portion of the Champion's face until the bridge of her nose was covered up by a futuristic looking visor heavily tinted with purple and some black, barely making out where her eyes were, while the Champion sported her wavy reddish-brown ombre hair in a half space bun style.

The temporary Champion smiled at the permanent Cat hero as she lent her hand out in greeting.

"My name is Al— er, I mean I'm Lady WiFi! I hope I can be of assistance to you, Chat Noir." Despite her introductory fumble at the start, Chat Noir gave his trademark cat-like grin in reply and shook the new heroine's outstretched hand.

"It's great that you're here Lady WiFi! I just hope that Asura can't try to fry you like it did all the other phones and computers it fed before getting here. I managed to whittle its body trying to find its Soul, but I am sure it's just biding its time." Almost like it heard Chat Noir talking about it, the Asura rose back up. Seeing the new hero accompanying the Cat hero, the blue entity connected the dots and decided to strike the heroine with its tail end.

That was its first big mistake.

Almost instinctively, Lady WiFi tossed the smartphone in her hand like a frisbee. It whiffed past the Asura like before but from where she originally stood, Chat Noir saw that she instantly disappeared then reappeared in the air. Right in the trajectory of where she threw that smartphone to grab it.

'Woah!'

Realizing its target disappeared, the Asura could not turn its back fast enough to see Lady WiFi project various digital looking screens in front of her to then launch at the Asura in an explosive volley. She immediately threw the smartphone to the area close to Chat Noir and immediately disappeared only for a second later to reappear on the ground, catching the same smartphone as though she threw it for her to receive back to herself. Immediately typing on a smaller digital screen projecting from the smartphone until it became a small floating white orb, the Champion known as Lady WiFi used her other hand to flick the inconspicuous looking orb in between the heroes and the hurt Asura.

"Firewall!"

As per her command, the area in between the Asura and the heroes became engulfed in a large wall of digitally made white fire. As the Asura tried to use its fan-shaped head-end to zap at the heroes, the fires stopped the beam short and even scorched portions of its other end when it tried to also lash at the same time.

"Nice, Lady WiFi! This should keep it at bay!" Chat Noir cheered as he realized they were at an advantage. A moment or so passed before the Asura stopped in its attacks as the heroes saw the strange neon blue symbol in front of the Asura's fan-shaped end, and as though it followed its master's telepathic command, zipped upwards into the evening sky.

"Whe-where did it go!?" Chat Noir readied his staff should the Asura try a sneak attack on them as Lady WiFi checked her magically infused smartphone.

"Thi-this is bad, Chat Noir! I'm picking up a faint signal somewhere in the Hotel . . . and I think the Asura felt it too and decide to find it!"

"Hurry, you two! You must not let that Asura find it! That signal could allow the Asura to recover or even escape until it can ambush us once more!" Lady Fairy rang out her warning as she allowed Lady WiFi to also relay it to Chat Noir as the trio of superheroes made their new gameplan.

"Lady WiFi, you start from the bottom since maybe someone left a computer or phone on. I'll scout from the top if it's maybe from a guest or housekeeping."

"Got it! I'll keep you posted!" Throwing her smartphone into the now broken hotel entrance, Lady WiFi teleported way as Chat Noir used his enhanced reflexes to scale the Le Grand Paris Hotel.

'It's after something . . . We just need to stop it before it gets to it!'

"I hope you enjoy your private spa treatment Madame ViV— Victoria. I made sure that you not only are getting the absolute best spa treatment of all of Paris, but you will enjoy it in absolute privacy."

"Oh, how joyous! Very très bien! Come now, Prince IV. It's time mommy needed a relaxing scented soak and so do you!" The multi-media celebrity excitedly walked past the slightly tense blonde heiress and planner while carrying her luxurious black cat. Said blonde heiress and planner quietly excused herself once again until she reached her own private room on the hotel's top floor to finally release the tense breath she had been holding. Using the rarely used landline, she called the concierge downstairs to ask for an update from the staff, while simultaneously texting Sabrina about the current situation with the Asura.

"The fighting seemed to stop for now Mlle. Bourgeois. I heard from the doormen that the entrance doors got smashed but otherwise the hotel has yet to be infiltrated."

[ Chloé good news! New Champ came & fought the Asura! Things r looking up! \ (•◡•) / ] - Sabrina.

'Oh hell yeah! Now that's good news!' Giving herself a small fist pump, Chloé walked to her balcony to breathe in more evening air as she thought the worst was over.

". . . Uhhh, sorry to barge in but can I ask for your help?"

"Ahh!"

Or at least that was what she thought before Paris' Chat Noir was perching on her balcony with a face that shows off distress, and possibly even awkwardness.

"Sorry to startle you, citizen! I am here on a mission to stop the Asura. There's reason to believe that a faint signal is still on within the hotel, and it might be after it."

Seeing the hero all in black look around her room, Chloé decided to message back to Sabrina, who also just gave her a new message.

[ Chloé new Champ says a signal might still b on. Checking round the lower floors for it. Asura still on the loose. Stay saef! (ง'̀-'́)ง ] - Sabrina

[ Met w/ Chat Noir, said same thing. Help coordinate w/ security around floors & rooms. I know we turned off the hotels wifi tho ( _ ) ] - Chloé

"Excuse me, Madame, that phone you're using is not connected online, is it?" Trying to say with as much seriousness and professionalism as he could muster, Chat Noir walked over to the girl in question after checking if Chloé's computer could be the cause. Which only got a tick of irritation from her with how he addressed her as she gave her phone to him to check.

"It wouldn't work even if I chose to . . . I had Daddy's hotel turn off its main internet when I found out it was coming this way and what the Asura does to stuff that are still connected . . . and it's Mlle. Chloé Bourgeois! Do I look like a Madame to you?!"

"O-oh, sorry Chl— er, I mean Mlle. Bourgeois. I got caught up with where the Asura could be hiding and where the signal is that it's after." Chat Noir found himself unconsciously being more casual with one of his closest childhood friends, despite being in his superhero secret identity. And unconsciously, Chloé also felt at ease talking to essentially one half of the team that makes up Paris' saviors, with only one thing in her mind as she walked along with him in his search for the device.

'Weird . . . wa-wait a minute!'

"Madame Victoria . . ." Realization struck as she pulled Chat Noir with him to the private suites only elevator and pressed for the floor below.

"Wha-what's going on!"

"I just remember that the special guest I am catering to still has her phone and she wasn't told about this whole Asura business!"

"W-wait, are you serious!? Why wasn't she told about this!?"

"Look M. (Monsieur) Chat Noir, this famous celebrity guest is someone I am trying to severely impress and if this Asura business gets in the way, I am royally screwed!" Running to the entrance of ViVa's private suite, Chloé shushed him as she continued, realizing only afterward she was basically ranting to the superhero who had bigger issues in her non-usual heiress-like way of talking.

"I-I have worked my ass off this entire week, got severely sidetracked and even nearly traumatized by a crazy classmate along the way, and now I am this close to getting into Madame Victoria and her kitty cat's good graces and networking. Stay quiet and wait at the elevator, I'll go in, grab her phone, and then we can go back to the balcony to try and lure the Asura out."

"B-but wai—" Chloé pinched the superhero's lips to stop his reasonings as she walked back into the suite.

Careful as to still check the slightly opened door to the private spa and bathroom, she could see ViVa still resting in her floral spa soak with earphones on. With that assurance, she quickly checked through her stuff until she saw the phone. Quickly but quietly speed walking out the door and to the elevator, she held the item Chat Noir was potentially looking for. Both teens were too busy cheering and thinking up of their lure plan to ever notice a little furry companion stowing away with them in the elevator.

"Still no sign of the Asura or the signal!" Lady WiFI exclaimed which made Sabrina and a security officer, a lower-ranking workmate of Sabrina's police father, sigh in defeat over another floor clear of any sign of the Asura or the supposed signal Lady WiFi is picking up.

". . . is it possible the signal could be existing outside the Hotel but just really close to it? Like an office building nearby?" Lady Fairy could not help but ponder out loud which only got her a reply.

"No, I am positive that the signal is somewhere inside this hotel. I-it's faint but I can sense it, Lady Fairy." The Champion could tell the other two who were accompanying her already understood that she was having a mental conversation with the Butterfly Miraculous wielder as they continued helping in the search.

"How can there still be a signal if we turned off the hotel's main internet?" Sabrina also pondered out loud as she remembered giving that exact order on behalf of Chloé to the IT people, which finally made Lady WiFi, or rather Alya, remember something.

'If it's not the main internet of the hotel . . . wait, could it be?'

"W-wait Officer! Are there not rumors that there were plans by Mayor Bourgeois to have the Parisian security cameras be connected to a central signal hub hidden within Le Grand Paris Hotel!?" The realization also came across Sabrina and the officer's face at that information.

"Y-you don't think that could be it right!?" Sabrina could not help but realize things starting to make sense in her head if that were the case. Looking at her father's co-worker, the officer used their walkie-talkie to convey the rumor speculation to Sabrina's father. They got a reply not a moment sooner.

". . . Yes officer, the rumors are true. There are plans for that to happen, but it is still not fully completed. Mayor Bourgeois mentioned to me that it was planned to be announced the next week."

"Where is the Central hub then?" Lady WiFi exclaimed as she clutched the officer's walkie-talkie and realized they finally had a lead.

"H-hold it right there, Lady Champion, that is classified information! The fact you already had confirmed the rumors were too m—"

"Officer Raincomprix, I understand now more than anyone the value of secrets and being none of my business . . . but right now that Asura could be striking that Central hub and have full control of Paris' cameras, which can be very bad for all of us. As the Champion for Lady Fairy it has become now the Parisian heroes' business to know so we can help you guys fight this thing . . . so, please, please, please tell me where it is right now . . . please!"

Sabrina, the officer with them, and even Officer Raincomprix on the other end were stunned over the Champion's assertion, and even more so with how she added a lot of 'please' in her forceful request.

". . . very well then, Lady WiFi. For Paris' safety."

Not a moment too soon as she heard where it was, Lady WiFi ran to the emergency stairs, and threw her phone upwards to teleport higher up, continuously doing so as to reach her destination as fast as possible.

'I have to get there quick and tell Chat Noir!'

Running out the elevator, Chloé and Chat Noir were out at the balcony to try and bait out the Asura.

"Come here you Pea-C. Virus!"

". . . PC Virus? I thought this was for the Asura?" Chloé couldn't help but look at the hero as though he grew a second head.

"Oh, I mean Pea-C. like Peacock Virus . . . but also for the whole wordplay I made up!" Giving a toothy grin at the other teen, she can only give a cringe in reply.

"God, your jokes are lamer than my best friend Adrien . . . and that loveable dork is a big weeb!" Despite her saying that, Chloé still gave a light chuckle over the goofiness of the superhero.

'H-hey!' Internally rebutted Adrien, currently as Chat Noir but had to remain overtly unaffected. Deciding to continue, he waved the smartphone around to try and see if he could bait out the Asura.

But no luck; just on par for the Miraculous Wielder of Misfortune and Destruction.

". . . huh, maybe it's not this smartphone that it was after?" Before Chloé could give a biting retort over the trouble she had to go through for a failed plan, she overheard a soft sound.

". . . meow?"

A highly well-kept black kitten was walking over from what they assumed was outside Chloé's room. Such as the private suites only elevator.

"Oh fu—"

"That's a pretty kitty cat! Is it yours?" Cat Noir unknowingly stopped the words forming out of the blonde heiress' mouth as she saw Prince IV walk towards them. Running towards the kitten, Chloé picked up the black cat as dread started forming within as she faced Chat Noir.

"Y-you finish up baiting the Asura somehow, I need to make sure Prince IV gets back to Madame Victoria . . . or this is going to go downhill for me, real quick!"

"W-wait did you just say, Prince IV?! Isn't that the cat lineage from Vi—"

Chloé's door further opened to see a mature but fabulous seeming woman walk with a green facial mask, shades, while in Le Grand Paris bathrobe, slippers and hair in a towel wrap.

"Ms. Chloé, I seem to have left my suite door open and poor Prince IV must have gone snooping. Can I ask for your assistance— Oh, there you are, kitten! Mommy was scared you've run of— "

The mystery woman in full luxury R & R wear could barely walk towards her kitten being held by the bewildered blonde heiress, and not at all wondering why a superhero in black was at the balcony with her phone, before someone else ran into the room and saw Chat Noir who she needed to see.

"Chat Noir, good you're here! Lady Fairy and I figured out where the signal is! Quick let's g— uhh, what's going on here?" Lady WiFi processed the scenario more vocally as she, and Lady Fairy through her communication symbol, were seeing what they were seeing.

Chat Noir at the balcony holding onto a phone in the air, like he was waving it.

Chloé Bourgeois, the girl who suspended the Champion, looked like a deer caught in the headlights holding onto a beautiful black kitten.

And right next to the Champion was this random older-looking woman who seemed to carry herself with amazing poise and grace despite being in a bathrobe and green facial mask.

A moment passed before a surge of something long, blue, and evil manifested itself onto the rooftop balcony of the hotel, immediately whipping its tail-like end towards the non-superheroes and kitty cat.

"Oh-oh my word!"

". . . meow!"

"Madame Victoria, please get inside!"

"Ch-Chat Noir!"

"Cataclysm!"

The tail end did not get to lash out at the citizens, but instead met the right hand of the Cat Miraculous wielder while it emitted its black destructive energy. Severe pain and damage rushed to the long digital worm Asura as the destructive force decimated half of its original length, with now only looking to be as long as a sizeable bus. While the Asura was down for the count in pain, digital screens manifested themselves in the air as they somehow managed to gently push the two citizens and actual cat back inside the room from the balcony's opening and away from the main fight.

"Madame and Mademoiselle, please stay back as Chat Noir and I, Lady WiFi, combat this monstrous Asura once and for all!" The other superhero who conjured those digital screens soon sent them at the hurt Asura to further weaken it. Chat Noir and the Champion continued to fight against the damaged Asura, all while Chloé looked on with the very celebrity who she wanted to give the utmost pampering with her kitten away from the fighting. Concerned over how calm and silent ViVa was with her kitten in just observing the superhero VS Asura fight from a safe distance, Chloé's thoughts were interrupted by a text message.

[ Chloé, r u safe? Lady WiFi went ahead to take down the Central Hub. Thats where the signal is! Asura is trying to feed on it to contrl the camras in Paris! ] - Sabrina

Thinking time was of the essence, she decided to call Sabrina for more details over what she messaged

"Wh-what's this about the Central Hub again!?"

"Chloé! Remember the rumors of your Daddy habing plans to set up a central signal hub for all the security cameras around Paris? It's actually basically true and done, and they hid it next to the main WiFi tower! The Asura is probably going to go after it to control it!"

As though she was overcome with adrenaline or even insanity, Chloé ran over to the side balcony entrance and ran to where she knew was a staircase for the actual topmost part of the hotel: A small open area that was at the other side somewhat overlooking Chloé's balcony, where the only things there were potted plants and the WiFi signal tower the hotel uses. Climbing up the stairs in no time at all, she opened the door and saw the tall WiFi signal tower. Chloé looked around until something caught her eye. It looked to be a small box with various wires connected to the main signal tower high above, and unlike the main signal tower that was turned off, it was still blinking various lights.

". . . the central hub is that box and it's connected to the tower! It must have been leeching off the main tower until we turned the main off!" Chloé exclaimed to herself at her realization. She looked over to see the superheroes still fighting the Asura, thankfully with none of them noticing her. Taking the risk against all odds, she grabbed a discarded long thin metal tubing pipe left at the side and used it to poke at the box until was she successfully had it dangling from the tower within arm's reach. Yanking at it with all her strength and petite weight, Chloé managed to pull the box from the tower's wirings. Running over to the edge of the smaller area where she could visibly see the heroes, Chloé yelled out in triumph.

"Hey!"

All three superpowered beings, Chat Noir, Lady WiFi, and the Peacock Virus Asura, looked over to see Chloé in a slightly higher area across from where they were holding what seemed to be a plain wired box.

"I pulled out the central hub! You're welcome by the way!"

Immediately checking, both Lady WiFi and the Asura realized the signal was no longer online and that its last faint positioning was actually the area where the blonde heiress was standing, holding onto what could have been the source. Le Paon's neon communication symbol glowed over the Asura's fan-shaped end, and immediately tried to leap at the blonde girl for having taken out the signal.

But the Asura and its Master were too late to notice.

"Firewall!"

Screens of digitized white flames singed and surrounded the Asura as Chat Noir, despite being on a timer, readied himself on the rooftop in front of the entity should it try to leap over the fires.

"We need to take it down now!" Chat Noir screamed out as it deflected another electric stream from the Asura's fan-shaped head end.

"R-right . . . Lady Fairy, I am ready when you are!"

"I bestow upon you, my Champion of Technology, the Miraculous' special power . . ."

"Fairy's Blessing!"

Lady Fairy on her end yelled forth her command as magic surged from her to her Champion on the field. Chat Noir looked on as shimmery bright purple magic swirled around Lady WiFi as various digital floating screens surrounded the Champion before she took a deep and calming breath. The Champion moved her hand and had the various screens compressed into a glowing purple sphere on top of her smartphone. Facing the Asura as the monstrosity itself had Le Paon's symbol glowing on its fan shaped end, the Champion known as Lady Fairy flicked her hand forward with a shout of her move.

"SYSTEM OVERDRIVE!"

The glowing orb flew towards the Asura as it emitted a sort of magical-based EMP (electro-magnetic pulses) before it caused a stronger purple EMP blast. The blast was so strong, it caused momentary blackouts within the hotel and the surrounding area, as well as making the cars down below activate their alarms.

But the worst was on the Asura.

The damaged Asura started slightly glitching, then as it tried to raise its fan end further, the glitching became more severe and erratic as Le Paon's communication symbol seemed to try and hold the Asura's physical form together before it too glitched and fizzled out. As Chloé came back around, she, the mysterious woman in robes, Chat Noir, and Lady WiFi, with Lady Fairy's own link or communication symbol, looked at the glitching Asura. They noticed that at its other end, the body's use of coding letters and numbers started to chip off and dissolve away. The body of the formerly long glitching Asura dissolved into nothing, with the Soul merely floating as a shell-less black feather; even the super attack of Lady WiFi damaged the magic infused shell enough to dissolve it too.

"Stand back, I still have enough time before I de-transform for a Black Scratch." Having his right pointer finger with the small black dot of destructive energy ready, he was stopped by Lady WiFi who used smaller digital screens to encase the feather in a cube-shaped prison while she began typing on a projected screen on her phone.

"W-wait, how about we try to see if we can locate Le Paon with this feather before we do?"

Confusion marred everyone's faces over the Champion's suggestion; even Lady Fairy was as confused yet no one would ever see it. Clearing her throat, she explained her thought process clearer.

"Si-since I am a Technology-based Champion and somehow this magic can work in tandem with the tech, what if I try to somehow figure out where the feather came from? Like how you know who the sender of an email was, or like when you click on a searched web image to take you to its source. It's possible we could have a general idea of where Le Paon could be hiding— like I know I am now more about keeping secrets and not butting in on other people's business, but I think it's safe to say we have every right to knowing Le Paon's business for all the trouble he's caused! What do you think?"

Chat Noir and Lady Fairy finally understood what the Champion meant: they can finally turn the tides and go on the offensive. Rather than having to wait for the next Asura attack, they could have a good lead as to where the dastardly evil person known as Le Paon is hiding, reclaim the Peacock Miraculous and finally let Paris be at peace.

"I-I say go for it, tech queen!" Chat Noir exclaimed, acting like a hype man which only made everyone chuckle.

"Wait, I am almost getting a coordinate!" Everyone, even the older woman in robes, looked at Lady WiFi as she exclaimed her almost findings.

Sadly, things do not always work out that well as the black feather emitted a black and blue pulse before it started to dissolve within the cubed cage.

"W-what happened to the feather?" Lady Fairy asked out through her link symbol as Lady WiFi looked shocked and dejected at her plan being foiled.

"I-I . . . somehow Le Paon must have caught on to our plans since none of us tried to destroy the feather and . . . he probably destroyed it on his own . . . darn it!" Frustration was starting to build up for the Champion over her failed tracking plan, but Chat Noir gave her a reassuring pat on the back. Even feeling the emotional reassurance from Lady Fairy, Lady WiFi realized it is what it is.

"Hey, we still defeated the Asura and saved Paris. I still count that as a win!" Raising his fist up for her, he gave her a reassuring smile. And feeling Lady Fairy's smile as well somehow through the link, Lady WiFi decided that they still won the battle and smiled while raising her fist to meet his.

"Pound it!" All the superheroes, Lady Fairy included, exclaimed at their job being completed for now. They may have won the battle, but the war is still technically not over.

The Peacock Miraculous user almost fully keeled over, steadying himself on one knee as he suffered the immediate pain of having his feather-based Soul destroyed. Why he is feeling more of the feedback was due to how he himself caused its own destruction, amplifying magic-induced pain further until he was struggling to get back up. But the dastardly man in blue known as Le Paon knew that was the price to pay as to ensure he can remain hidden in the shadows.

"Uggh . . . I am not about to let them have such an easy early win! No-not until my goals will be realized!" Standing back up after enough deep breaths, Le Paon smoothed himself out as he looked from his observatory lair towards the large window.

"My waiting game may have ended with me nearly being the worm, but I will not stop until I have accomplished my goals . . . I am a patient man when I can still keep my cards close to me. You best keep your guards up, Chat Noir and Lady Fairy! Because one day, the secrets behind your identities will be compromised, and I shall reap the benefits of claiming what I am after! Mark my words!"

The large circular window closed as he ended his threat.

Soft applause broke the teen heroes' concentration from their fist bumps as the mature woman in the soft robes came forward, her black cat sauntering forward with its mistress.

"Bravo! Bravo! Maravilloso (Marvelous!) Simply Maravilloso!"

"M-madame Victoria?" Chloé questioned as to why the celebrity was cheering after seeing a basically life or death situation in front of her.

"Miss Chloé! You have certainly made my stay in Paris a truly remarkable and memorable one, I must say!" The woman's words only made Chloé's eye nearly bug out of their sockets at her words.

"R-really?!"

"Truly! I mean, what other celebrities can truthfully say they got to be pampered with every inch of their life to then bear witness to the glory that is the Parisian superheroes in such a spectacular spectacle of heroism! Why, I was on the edge of my seat seeing the action unfold! Oh, how I am even starting to get all antsy at the idea of me trying my luck on these action or even superhero styles films now; they are all the rage these days! How wondrous!" The eccentric woman continued to exclaim as Chloé was still amazed over realizing she was actually receiving higher praises over what happened.

Picking up the discarded phone that he assumed was the eccentric woman's, Chat Noir walked over for her to receive as he also knelt down towards the kitty who meowed at him in awe over the black cat superhero.

"I-I am not sure what exactly is going on, Madame, but I am really happy that you are all safe and that you got to enjoy that spectacle safely. I am just happy this little girl was also safe since I wouldn't know how to live with myself if she got hurt, why I would have to give up one of my 9 lives if that were to happen!" Chat Noir dramatically placed his hand on his forehead, acting all weary at the thought, as the other superhero laughed at his antics while the cat in question mewled happily.

That is until Chloé caught on to what he just said.

"W-wait, did you just say girl to Prince IV?!"

"Huh? Uh, yeah . . . isn't it obvious this little outrageously beautiful black kitty is a female? Maybe it's just me being a Cat superhero but I totally noticed it."

The mature-robed woman was just as astonished over the revelation but nonetheless picked up the cat with ecstatic glee.

"How joyous is this plot twist revelation! Just like when Celestina from 'By Candlelgiht' found out she was actually adopted! My Prince is no prince at all! No! I shall now call you a more fitting name for such a fitting beauty." Looking at the two superheroes, she questioned them.

"May I ask for your names? I am afraid I am not as knowledgeable of Paris' own wondrous heroes."

"I am Chat Noir, Madame."

"I-I am Lady WiFi, but I am merely a temporary Champion chosen by Chat Noir's real partner who has to remain hidden, Lady Fairy." Lady Fairy's link symbol glowed over Lady WiFi's visor to signify her presence.

"Splendid! Your new name now, my gorgeous beauty, shall by Lady Noire! The newest lineage named after the 3 saviors of Paris!" The kitten mewled out in agreement over her new name as her mature owner cuddled with her pet before looking over to Chloé once again.

"And you, Miss Chloé, also truly deserve a lot of praises once again. I'll be sure to continue my stays in Le Grand Paris as a great go-to, and I will make sure all of my wonderful friends know they can enjoy a truly posh relaxing stay in this hotel, knowing they are safe in the end." The mysterious but graceful woman in facial mask, soft slippers, and bathrobe walked away with her kitten back to her private suite as the teens had various expressions of awe over the whole interaction.

"Well, looks like cheers for everyone right now on the job well done! We saved Paris, gave that strange woman a show, got her cat named after us, and . . . looks like someone did a great job managing that lady's stay, huh?" Chat Noir tried to break the tension but all he got from the blonde heiress was a deep breath, followed by an excited yell.

"Oh, hell to the yeah!" Chloé, usually all high class and haughty in front of others, did not care the slightest as she started doing her own little victory dance with fist pumps as she finally achieved what she wanted to achieve with ViVa's stay. The two superheroes could only look in astonished silence over the blonde heiress dancing all goofily in her success before the moment was cut short by beeping warnings from Chat Noir, followed by Lady Fairy through Lady WiFi's symbol. Composing herself once again as her usual self, Chloé looked at the two superheroes who realized their times were almost up.

"Uhhh, excuse me Chl— Mlle. Chloé, may I ask for you to vacate the area? I will be detransforming soon, and I have to keep my identity a secret and all that jazz. My timer is about to end."

"O-of course!" Chloé rushed back inside, using the excuse to also go downstairs to meet with her friend Sabrina over the great news. After she left, Chat Noir looked to his temporary Champion partner.

"I wish I could stay and talk to you more though, Lady WiFi— great name and superpower by the way— but alas, my time is almost up."

"Aww, I wish we could all continue chatting, but I understand we have to part for now, Chat Noir. I hope to see your beautiful eyes soo—" Lady Fairy stopped herself as she realized she vocally said out loud the second part which she knew her Champion heard her say as they were still linked up. Usually she would try to do some damage control, but the impulsive thing Lady Fairy did instead was to try and excuse herself out.

"W-wait Lady WiF—"

"Not to worry, Lady Fairy said that she understands, and she hopes you stay safe!" Seeing as her Champion isn't going to say anything and readying herself to leap away, Lady Fairy gave a sigh of relief thinking she was out of the woods from that embarrassing remark.

She thought wrong.

As Lady WiFi was about to throw her smartphone to teleport away, she gave a cheeky grin and retort.

"P.S. Lady Fairy said you have gorgeous eyes and a great ass! See ya!"

"W-wait wha—"

Laughter resounded through the Parisian evening as Lady WiFi zipped away in her teleporting leaps, leaving a confused Chat Noir alone in the top floor balcony as he detransformed back into Adrien Agreste. His Kwami, Plagg, already reaching inside one of Adrien's pockets for the Camembert cheese his Chosen keeps on hand if they need a recharge.

"Di— did you just hear what I just heard?"

"Yeah, yeah, your elusive Butterfly partner thinks you have a great butt," Plagg stated with indifference as he engulfed the cheese in one big gulp.

"Uh— I was referring to how she thought I had gorgeous eyes but also that too."

Adrien Agreste, previously the Cat Miraculous wielder known throughout Paris as Chat Noir, could only look into the evening sky with a full blush which colored his entire face pink over the compliments he got from his ever mysterious but benevolent partner via Champion.

Landing at her own home's balcony and thankful no one was home yet, Lady WiFi decided to confront the beast she purposefully angered over the last quip with Chat Noir as she addressed the link symbol with what sounded like a heavily blustered Butterfly Miraculous wielder on the other end.

"I-I most certainly did not say he has a great ass! I-I mean sure I think he looks great all-around b-but still!"

"Aha! So, you don't deny you said he had gorgeous eyes, my Lady?" Lady WiFi couldn't help but continue teasing the person who basically gave her superpowers, but she felt more at ease with this mysterious Lady Fairy. While she may still remain a mystery, Alya as Lady WiFi can somewhat enjoy how cool it is to know just a bit more about Paris' Great Lady without knowing her identity.

'There really is magic in the mystery.'

Allowing a minute of teasing and playful banter to end nicely, Lady Fairy finally addressed them back to course as the timer counted down again.

"Thank you once again for having accepted being my Champion. You did such a wonderful job out there with Chat Noir in overcoming and defeating the Asura."

"O-oh, it's no biggie, my Lady. I was just happy we got to defeat the Asura in time! I kinda wish Le Paon didn't just off his own feather like that, because we could have tracked him down if we could!"

"Well, it's not a stretch to say that I wouldn't be opposed to calling upon you again for another try, Lady WiFi?"

"O-oh my gosh, that is truly an honor, Lady Fairy! I-I will be ready should you need me!"

The communication and the magic's hold on the Champion finally ended as she reverted back to Alya, as the butterfly Fae zipped away into a glimmer in the night sky. Alya looked around her living room until she saw Marinette come back out from where she was. Realizing her best friend was still there the whole time, Alya rushed over and hugged her blind best friend.

"Ma-Marinette, what are you still doing here?!"

Thinking up of a better excuse than her last attempt, Marinette gave her reasoning as to why.

"I-I actually had to really use your bathroom really badly, and then I . . . accidentally knocked something over that got me stuck inside . . . I must have been so busy trying to clean and arrange the stuff I clumsily knocked over, that I must have not noticed the time gone . . . yeah. H-how about you? Did you go out or something?" Marinette gave a somewhat over-the-top reasoning but knew she could try and get out of the questioning if she can throw the question back at Alya.

To which it was now Alya's turn to make a somewhat believable excuse.

"O-oh, uhhh . . . I actually ran downstairs to the apartment's landlady to warn them about the Asura attacks . . . I-I must have been so caught up in trying to help after my livestream . . . that I also started warning the apartments next door until they said the Asura was defeated . . . Oh god! I am so sorry for forgetting you like that, Marinette!" Alya hugged her blind friend as she realized her lame excuse still did not excuse her for leaving her best friend in her own home for hours because she was chosen to be a Champion. Thankfully somehow, Marinette accepted her apology as though it was okay.

"N-no it's alright, Alya. I am just glad we are now both safe."

The friends hugged it out as Marinette's words rang far deeper than the girls thought. She was not only happy Alya got home safe despite being her chosen Champion, but also how Marinette managed to keep her Lady Fairy identity a secret from her loved ones.

'I am at least getting better at this excuses thing.'

Many days after the Asura attack saw the school back in session with a new school week. Students started walking up the stairs to get ready for class, yet the serenity of the school setting was slightly broken do to a certain someone making a rather astonishing shout.

"You can go back to school again!"

Three pairs of hands clasped over the blonde model's mouth as the realization hit him over his loudness of voice.

"Jeez, Agreste! I don't think they heard you enough in Uruguay!" Alya couldn't help but tease her blonde friend over his exclamation. Putting their hands away, Nino and Marinette also smiled sensing that there was normalcy again amongst friends.

"So wait, why did Principal Damocles cut your suspension then?"

"Mom just told me last night that Chloé apparently called Principal Damocles to drop the charges, something about getting him an autograph, so that while I can go back to school, the rest of my suspension days will be mandatory detention."

"That's awesome Alya! I-I mean sucks you still have to do the rest via detention but at least we get to see you around school again!" Nino exclaimed as the friend group realized they have their fourth back in school with them.

"Yeah, the best thing about this is that I managed to convince my parents to let me still learn about coding with Max. I talked to him as well about it and he's cool with it for the most part. With his help, I finally achieved my new dream project in progress!" The last part was something Marinette caught on and she could not help but ask.

"What's this new project of yours, Alya?"

"I am planning to delete my LadyBlog and work on my new thing!"

"D-delete your old passion project, but why?" Even if she asked that question, Marinette, and Adrien, were slightly happy to hear about that part of the snooping website being gone for good. Gives them one less crackpot theorizing website in uncovering their truth, either by saying they were nuns or magically genderbending, to worry about.

"Because I realized that blog was just me trying to snoop around uncovering the identities of our heroes . . . and look where that got me? In trouble. So, I decided to let go of that blog and start up a new website, only this time instead of uncovering the superheroes it will be all about praising them!" Fiddling with her smartphone, she presented a new website domain with a much more engaging design and graphic user interface. She presented a video embedded on it called 'New Beginnings!'.

"I call it the Heroes' Scene!" Getting ooh's and ahh's from her friends, even though Marinette was blind but still encouraging, Alya pressed play on the video. It showed Alya sitting at her living room, with a smile on her face as she introduced herself.

"Hey everyone! I am Alya and this is a new site I am calling the Heroes' Scene!" A more stunningly visual transition showed off the site's name 'Heroes' Scene', as a new emblem showed itself off, the same emblem that is the main symbol throughout the new website. The emblem or sigil was presented a circle cut in half; one half was in green which had an image of a black cat, denoting Chat Noir, whereas the other half was a light purple that had a lighter whitish pink butterfly, denoting the Fae like butterflies used by Lady Fairy. In the middle of the symbol was a silhouette of the Eiffel Tower, where at the top most point was a glowing light yellow 4-sided star with smaller stars to its side, giving the emblem of the Heroes' Scene website an overall stylish look.

". . . So basically, I realized that my old passion project, the LadyBlog, was not healthy for me to continue, nor is it healthy for any of us to continue snooping around the identities of our heroes! I realized that I wanted to make this new website way better than the last one thanks in part to the people around me who made me realize why my last blog was no longer good for me. The Heroes' Scene website will now focus more on praising the heroes of Paris in their quest to fight evil, while showing off the good they are doing in general!" More fluid transitions show photos, probably taken from some citizens, of the heroes of Paris fighting the Asura or even just showing off their kindness to the people of Paris; mainly these were photos of Chat Noir, but some showed the allied Champions being called upon by Lady WiFi.

". . . People can share their thoughts about how helpful Chat Noir, Lady Fairy, and even the Champions have been in working to save Paris from Le Paon's Asuras and even share pictures or creative works!" Alya paused the video to show them someone posting a cool fanart piece depicting Chat Noir and Lady WiFi, which got her some more 'oohs' and 'ahhs' from her friends, even if Marinette could only guess it was cool due to her blindness. Alya decided to continue showing website's video, like a saleswoman making a confident sales pitch.

". . . The new site will also allow people to link and share their Asura alerts or reports so that others can now know when there's an Asura attack, and even give a general idea of where it is or even what it does so people can avoid harm's way! I hope these alerts can even help out the heroes be better prepared with where it could be and even what the Asura does in general so they can stop them better! Many more things are to come to this new Heroes' Scene website and I hope you guys watching can continue being a part of it with me! Talk to you guys soon and remember! Stay Safe and Say Thank You to our Heroes! Bye!" The introductory video finally ended with Alya making a dramatic bow which only made her friends chuckle and give her an applause to her presentation. Adrien and Marinette internally and individually were amazed at how the new website is giving more about the Heroes' duties in helping Paris while the Asura alters would seriously help them out a bunch in being more prepared should there be attacks.

"But wait! There's actually more to this website. I-it's actually still in progress to be fair but . . . I also plan to include a segment where it has links to mental health professionals or centers around Paris." Seeing the slight confusion on her friends' faces, Alya decided to expound that idea further.

"I-it's just that I was talking to Max about this, and he made a really great point about how during these dangerous Asura attacks, people will find themselves going through a bunch of emotions, mainly stress, fear, anxiety, or a mix of all of them plus other negative ones. Max told me that the mind and spirit needs to heal just as much as the body gets hurt. It made me realize how important it was to try and prevent them if possible. If Le Paon is sort of targeting people who go through a bunch of negative emotions, maybe people can find ways to self-help or find actual help, such as calming techniques or counseling, so as to not be actual targets . . . then it got me also thinking how these links as well could help people who were Vesseled . . . people like me. They— we should also have ways to helping ourselves realize that we are not to be blamed for Le Paon's actions, that we were caught vulnerable and that we should never blame ourselves for those Asuras." Giving herself a moment to breath as she realized she getting into some heavier territory of this plan, Alya continued on because she felt this was the right direction to take.

"I am hoping the Heroes' Scene can be a place to help people reach out to others, especially to say counselors or therapists, for help in regard to their mental or emotional health . . . And that's really what I wanted to make my new website all about: a place where people can help one another, be it giving Alerts or lending a hand, while also continue promoting positivity by remembering we have these heroes who constantly save us. Th-this is what I want to now focus my energies on whilst also still being a journalist." Ending her speech, Alya felt all the tension she initially had fully be gone as a wave of relief and happiness swept over her and she was happy to see her friends smiling at her over their full support to her new passion project.

"Now this is a killer idea, Alya!"

"This is an amazing passion project, Alya! I am so proud you're using your talents in being a positive yet helpful influence to the people of Paris!"

"Y-yeah, like what Marinette said! This site could be a great place for even the heroes to know they are being well-received by the people of Paris while getting a bunch of alerts to be ready! I am really excited as well about that last plan of yours coming true, Alya! Those could really benefit people's mental well-being, and I am really happy you are also having these links addressed the victims of Le Paon's Asura making."

Everyone was so happy for Alya as she seemed to really have moved past her former snooping quest for something more beneficial. Her new website would help better promote active community awareness, positivity in applauding the heroes' duties, and soon, even helping people's mental health due to these attacks. The compliments further made their journalist friend smile even brighter.

"I-I am not saying I am giving up on being a journalist though, but I do think I will stick to things that really matter. Such as livestreaming alerts, maybe even conducting interviews with people who want to help properly promote better safety or well-being. Things that would mean more than just unveiling the truth behind someone else's secrets . . . unless it's Le Paon's!" Alya's last biting remark made everyone chuckle that there was still always a little bit of the investigative journalist inside her. Alya herself; however, contemplated over the idea, seeing it almost like a challenge. A challenge to try and help the heroes find even a substantial lead as to where the blue evil is hiding as just Alya.

'Hmmm . . . it would be interesting to try though. But not right now!'

Her thoughts were interrupted when Alya saw Chloé step out of her luxury car, Sabrina with her. The blonde heiress with her red-haired friend were walking to the school's entrance, barely looking to the side seeing the four friends talk. Not even bothering to gush towards Adrien or make a disdainful comment at Alya, Chloé continued on her way. But Alya decided she needed to confront the last person she needed to apologize to, even if they flat-out refuse her apology. Standing at the foot of the school's stairs as Chloé was at the top, Alya called out to her.

"Chloé, we need to talk!"

Time seemed to almost stop as Chloé Bourgeois actually did stop in her tracks, yet still refused to face Alya. Sabrina herself looked worried at how her best friend being called by the very girl who nearly traumatized her.

"I-I know I have absolutely no right after what trouble I caused for you . . . but I just want to say that I am really sorry for putting you in that predicament, and that you had every right to have me suspended for it. So, in a way, this is also a thank you for dropping the suspension enough so that I can go to school again. T-thank you, Chloé."

". . . I have no idea what you're talking about." Chloé tried to mutter out lamely to save some face, but she knew Alya was told about it. Even when she specifically told Principal Damocles not to because she didn't want people to know for ViVa's was not expecting any other reply other than that but she could see Chloé slightly moved her head. The blonde heiress looked to where the formerly suspended classmate was before facing away once again.

". . . whatever." Chloé muttered the last part and walked into the school's doors. Sabrina was still astonished over the ordeal but gave a curt smile and nod towards Alya and then to Nino, Adrien, and Marinette before following her best friend.

Alya's friends came over to see if she's alright, to which Alya gave a long sigh as she released all the tension she experienced after apologizing then thanking Chloé. Even though Chloé may have seemed to have not accepted them, a part of Alya knows that was her way of acceptance. Alya realized she has been reading Chloé all wrong. That maybe behind all the designer clothes, fabulous hair and makeup, and bossy rich daddy's girl personality lies an actual decent person. And truth be told, Alya realized how much more different Chloé really was when she saw her act like a completely different person during the Asura fight, willing to help the heroes out by taking out the signal hub and then even respecting Chat Noir's request to leave her own room so he can destransform. Alya before all of this would have never been that brave or considerate, but Chloé was.

'Guess, I've got you all wrong, Bourgeois.'

Chloé Bourgeois walked into her bedroom suite after a long day at school, feeling the fatigue get to her as she decided to lay on her bed. As exhausting as new homework and new lessons were, she didn't think having that interaction with Alya in the morning would be as tiring as it really was, yet she knew it was less about the person but over the reminder of the stunt that left her vulnerable. That was what was making her have a mental conflict. She did play up being indifferent to Alya's sincere apology and thanks because Chloé thought she needed to remain cold towards the formerly suspended girl. But after what happened with the Asura, the superheroes, and the great job with ViVa, and then her sudden decision to drop Alya's suspension early, Chloé felt like she needed to realign with who she thinks she is.

Because against it all, Chloé is not a total bitch.

Sure, she's a rich blonde heiress so being haughty and at times bossy comes with the title, but she is not the total monster some claim her to be. Maybe parts of it are true, and other parts of it are just an act to play this role she pushed onto herself due to external reasonings. But lately even Chloé herself is not as sure anymore of what is or is not who she really was, or which parts are just her playing up what people think about her. Ironic, since she says their words don't affect her when it actually does. There is a sense of dissonance with what's going on with Chloé's mind, and quite frankly, she is quite tired of it all. The real question is when will she herself realize who she really is and demand to stop being who is really is not?

'Uggh, all this philosophical thinking has got me dizzy. I need a nice soak." Getting up from her bed, Chloé was taking off her usual designer jacket when there was a door knock; panic shot through her as she heard it being open, even though she was in another part of her suite.

"Chloé, it's me."

The panic within her dissipated almost immediately as she heard Sabrina, one of the only few people she trusts, come in. Said best friend of the blonde heiress walked into the living room part of Chloé's suite, while the heiress herself was taking off her jacket which she almost always wore whenever she goes out in public.

Because Sabrina was one of the only people who knew the traumatic reasons behind it.

Staying in the area since she knew her best friend was probably going to take a relaxing bath after today's events, Sabrina spoke out various updates while Chloé began undressing and putting on her Le Grand Paris luxurious bathrobe.

"I just received a message from ViVa's assistant. They will prepare her networking contacts with you and your father soon, saying how much they really appreciate ViVa is still enjoying her stay in Le Grand Paris. They even said that ViVa suddenly wants to get into contact with the famous Wonders' Comics Studio in America, as soon as her break is over. Something about ViVa being all of a sudden really interested with getting into the studio's Cinematic Universe? They were even surprised when ViVa brought up about how her current cat is actually now Lady Noire and that she also deserves a roll with ViVa too!" Sabrina added the last part which thankfully got a laugh out of Chloé as she herself remembered the celebrity saying it to her and the superheroes. Sabrina let her best friend enjoy the good news before she had to divulge the bad ones.

"A-also Chloé, your dad told me to tell you that your mother might be considering coming home . . ." Sabrina knew this was a topic that would mean walking on very fragile eggshells, but she knew she had to state out the message as Chloé's best friend and secretary of sorts.

". . . O-oh, I see." Pausing from entering her bathroom, Chloé quickly rounded to her purse to pluck something out of it to help calm her nerves, knowing they were possibly going to get frayed with where this talk was going once again. Chloé was internally thankful it wasn't her Daddy who would give her this talk again because she wouldn't know if she could handle it better than she is right now with Sabrina.

Chloé doesn't know if she could handle it, period.

"H-he said that the offer still stands if you want to . . . he keeps saying that the plastic surgeon from the U.K. has the best medical practice when it comes to plastic surgery and skin grafting. Mayor Bourgeois said that if you are interested, he could get them—"

"Sabrina, you already know what my answer is . . . what it always is . . ." Not getting an immediate response, Chloé went inside her bathroom, thankful that the hotel staff already had her bath prepared. She began using the key attached to the small jewelry box she took from her purse, and she gently placed it next to her sink with the 3-sided mirror showing off the blonde heiress' reflection; slightly dabbed off makeup, her usual designer sunglasses and jewelry taken off, and even her hair in its usually iconic ponytail down, framing the blonde heiress to almost remind herself of the innocence she had back as a child.

Back before it happened.

With slight resolve, she half undressed out of her bathrobe and clearly saw what was always there, as she peaked at the side mirror to have a better look of it.

"I don't plan to have these removed until I am strong enough to finally let go of it . . . to let go of what happened. This serves as a reminder . . . a reminder of that incident. Why she's gone and why I am still too scared to wear anything less than designer jackets and coats."

Dark ugly scars tarnished Chloé's back, starting from the upper-mid back down to the lower back portions. The scarring portrays various lines, long or short, thin or wide, branching or non-branching, as they all viciously mar the teenager's back, like a perfectly smooth canvas ripped and shredded by various lines in anger. All denoting a horrific past experience for any owner of such scars to have of grave magnitude.

'It's been 7 or so years since that time . . . I wonder if you remember . . . I still have that box with the tune you really liked.'

Flicking open the jewelry box, it actually showed to be a high-class, albeit old-looking, music box. What was also unique about the box is that inside it was a platform containing 3 small figures that began dancing and twirling in place: 2 figures showed to be that of a man and a woman, clearly a prince and a princess by the way they were beautifully and royally dressed, dancing and spinning together in the middle as another figure was off to the side, spinning on her own. The third figure was that of a woman dressed in a beautiful gown herself, but she had a wand on one hand and angelic like wings on her back.

Chloé let the box begin its tune, producing the soft melody like a lullaby. A joyous piece she remembers from a simpler time; when things were full of hope and wonder, and where she felt freer than she ever feels now. As Chloé readied herself to enjoy her luxurious bath, she remembered the lyrics to the song as she slightly sang some lines in her head. A song she continued to sing softly in her head before succumbing to calming relaxation altogether within the soothing waters.

'. . . Put them together . . . and what have you got . . . bibbidi . . . bobbidi . . .boo.'

End Note (Tidbits & References)

The Asura: Peacock Virus. I always planned on the Asura being based off like a digital worm made up of coding because a computer virus will always just make me think of like worm like bacteria while it attacks more like an actual superpowered computer virus: feeding off and destroying devices and needing a signal to spread around. I also based the Asura from actual creatures called Peacock worms; they are these aquatic creatures that are long and tubular with one end fanning out like a flower. I also like how the name Peacock Virus could be abbreviated as what Chat said, because wordplay is fun.

Lady WiFi and her Champion powers. As much as I like Lady WiFi, I had 2 major issues. My first issue was with her powers. When I saw that her powers were using Pause, Stop, Padlock, Fast Forward, and Record like she does with a video camera or phone . . . it didn't feel like to me what the name Lady WiFi could have conveyed. Most of those powers I feel like could have been given to someone like Timebreaker instead since her whole thing as a Time based superbeing made more sense in my head. Thus, I decided that her powers will be different, focusing more on technology. Although I did like and kept her Canon's ability to teleport herself using phones, but in a way that is restrictive (only using the phone she magically has on hand) yet just as flashy, such as her throwing it only to teleport and catch where it was going as a way of fast travel. I based a lot of her powers from 3 main inspirations: (1) Overwatch's Sombra, (2) Tecna, Fairy of Technology, from Winx Club, and (3) Hibiki Lates from Fairy Tail; he was a side character whose magic was basically making digital screens that he could transfer information, use as barriers or even explode offensively.

- Hence, Lady Fairy in this AU having abilities more akin to technology, such as using digital floating screens offensive or defensively. Honestly, the Alya's Champion's Super Move was basically Sombra's EMP. Funny enough, I went through different names for the Super Move (CodeBreaker, EMP, etc.) before I decided with System Overdrive because it was catchier. I feel like having technology-based powers just fit more of her name, and with how I am trying to characterize Alya as someone who can get into technology more than just being a livestreaming journalist.

Lady WiFi's Champion design. My other big issue with Canon Lady WiFi was her overall design. Like I don't mind a simple but cool looking jumpsuit but compared with the Champions I already introduced, Climatika & Myrical Knight; hell, comparing Lady WiFi with some of the designs of other Akuma, she feels too simple. So, I wanted to change her look which I heavily based the description off of Sombra's design with the coat and the like, with some slight changes, like the use of white, a visor, boots and the hairstyle which I did originally consider just having her hair down, but I weirdly wanted the Champion to have her hair tied in an awesome way. I hope the description was enough to convey Lady WiFi's Champion design.

Regarding what I already said in Part 01. I want to stress again that this AU will diverge in a lot of way from the Canon; hence, why many scenes will be added and revised, and many of the characters will seem OOC such as Chloé. I already have (somewhat) plans of why that is the case, but I hope I can make enough similarities or links to the Canon without going way overboard (for the most part). As I have already been sprinkling about various interesting things mentioned throughout the story chapters, I hope I can continue to build it all up as I continue to write this AU.
