Important update at bottom.

One Hour Later

Plo Koon lets out a soft sigh as Naruto falls back asleep in his crib. With a glare he gestures for the Advisors to be quiet as he tucks the crib into the corner of the Hokage's office. With reluctance the Jedi goes back to paying attention to the meeting.

"Hiruzen, preliminary counts of casualties are coming in at over 4000. The hospital, luckily, was fully stocked and according to staff, was raised to Level Red as soon as the sun started setting. The head of the Hospital said it was ordered by the Hokage himself. Due to that, it seems survival rate after encountering the beast will be fairly high, with the most negative estimates being 60%." Hamura, an elderly man with glasses and a small silver goatee read from a clipboard.

Hiruzen shook his head smiling slightly,"Minato had been speaking about contingencies just in case something were to happen… To even plan that far ahead…"

"Rebuilding efforts are already occurring. Large stocks of supplies for such an occurrence were found in the bunkers, sealed in scrolls. According to ANBU, they were placed there over the last week by the Hokage, with orders to only use them in emergency. Due to this planning, it is estimated that all damage done to the village will be fixed within a week should we assign genin to help as D-Rank Missions." Koharu, a woman with wispy grey hair and a fierce expression, states as she reads from a scroll.

"I have already told the ANBU of the village to double patrols around the walls. The sensory team is working on fixing the barrier that the Nine Tails broke by suddenly appearing right on top of it, and I have ordered the Uchiha Police to make sure the civilians are okay and begin to go about their standard lives." Danzo, an elder with black hair and bandages wrapped around half his face spoke next, before gesturing lightly with his chin towards the crib by the Jedi.

"The only thing left to discuss is what to do with the Jinchuriki." Plo Koon tensed as the seal that Minato branded on his arm translated that previously unknown word perfectly.

"Oh? What do you suggest Danzo?" Hamura asked, barely glancing towards the man as he went through the data on his clipboard once more. "You obviously have an opinion otherwise you would have stayed silent."

"Give him to me." Danzo's response got the attention of each member in the room fully. Koharu responded after nodding slightly.

"I assume you wish to train it to utilize the chakra of the beast?" At the affirmative nod, Koharu hmmed and nodded as well. "I agree then."

Hamura glanced outside at the destruction, and sighed. "We can't afford an accident. Danzo, you are the worst choice to take care of an infant, let alone an infant that is also a jinchuriki. We should wait until its of academy age before training it."

Danzo nodded along," You do make a good point. At the moment we don't have the resources to risk training it to be the perfect weapo-"

With a hum, Plo Koon activated his lightsaber. However Hiruzen spoke first.

"If any one of you attempt to make such a statement a reality, I will personally end you." The cold certainty of the old shinobi silenced the room. Hiruzen looked towards Plo Koon, his eyes chips of hardened granite. "Put that away." With a shoom, the blade disappeared and Plo Koon leaned back.

With fluidity that took everyone by surprise, Hiruzen leaped over the desk, slamming Danzo to the floor with a kick to the chest before landing on top of him. "Let me be absolutely clear. I want no one to question this, I want no one to misunderstand, I don't want anyone conveniently forgetting." Before anyone saw him move, a kunai was buried to hilt in the floorboards beside Danzo's left ear, a shallow slice showing how close he came to losing his life. Behind the other two advisors, a clone of Hiruzen held a kunai to each of their throats, ready to end their lives at any given moment. "If Naruto suddenly starts acting suspiciously, I kill you. If he goes missing, I kill you. If he ends up knowing things he shouldn't, I will kill you. If for some reason, someone thought it was a great idea to leak his status as a jinchuriki, I will kill you." Hiruzen looked down at Danzo as he shifted his knee slightly to allow the man to breath.

"Now. I think we are clear on the roles we all play. You are advisors. Nothing more." In poof of smoke, the two clones vanished, and the Third Hokage was back behind the desk as if nothing had happened.

As the council settled back in, Hiruzen asked,"Is there anything else we need to discuss?"

"There are… rumors going around that the Sharingan was spotted in the eyes of the Nine Tails." Danzo spoke up after rubbing his chest slightly.

Hiruzen nodded. "That's because the beast was being controlled. Minato killed the summoner, and gave me the head. I have dealt with it. Nothing more needs to occur."

"The village will need to have a story then, otherwise the Uchiha will be ostracized. " Koharu spoke up as she stood and started to pace. "We could say that the beast's eyes are normally red and let self doubt go its course."

Plo Koon hummed before speaking up,"Were any Uchiha involved in the fighting?" His question was asked more in curiosity as he wasn't paying enough attention to it. Out of the corner of his eye he saw the ship that his former padawan took to the larger ship that was in the atmosphere land jarringly.

Hamura spoke up as he consulted his clipboard,"hmmm why yes. Kisuma Uchiha, Atura Uchiha and Churu Uchiha all are placed in the hospital with eye strain and semi-serious wounds from fighting the beast."

Hiruzen, picking up on what he believed the line of thought was instantly, grinned. "It would work, because it's likely true. Kisuma-kun and Atura-kun both specialize in genjutsu. They got eye strain by attempting to ensnare the Fox in genjutsu. We state that the eyes were a by product of attempts by our fellows in the Uchiha clan to subdue the beast."

"It makes the Uchiha clan look like geniuses, as no one else even attempted genjutsu, which will mitigate the fear and uncertainty that the civilians will spread in their ignorance." Danzo nodded in approval. Plo Koon sighed, as his curious question was interpreted in a manner that wasn't the most honest, but effective.

The advisors began to talk about how to repair the land outside the walls and Plo Koon, interested in how Shinobi would heal such scars listened in.

"I have a document that prepped three teams for that actually." Hiruzen was saying, as he fumbled around the desk with a grumble. "Minato's organization system is different, apologies." The three Elders of the village were nonjudgmental with the slip, as they had known the man since boyhood. With an exclamation of success, Hiruzen pulled a small sheet of paper from under a stack of scrolls.

"We shall send teams 8, 19, and 32, with modified leaders. Danzo, make this happen. Leaders should be either earth specialists or water specialists. We may be able to use this to create another water source for the village, while expanding about half a klick. At least if the map and my estimations are correct." Hiruzen gestured vaguely towards the map that hung on the wall outlining the village and the forest surrounding it for twenty miles each direction.

Any further talk was interrupted by angry voices outside the door. "You can't go in there! There's a meeting in progress!"

"I have urgent news for Jedi Master Plo Koon, so either move, or be moved." The voice of Lissarkh was heard as she responded.

"I cannot let you- Hey! Put me down!" The door opened, slowly revealing the Trandoshan using the force to levitate the shinobi away from the door, having opened it with her other hand.

"Lissarkh, what is the issue?" Plo Koon called out as his former padawan continued to hold the struggling shinobi up.

"The Jedi Council has called for you to meet with Master Yoda. Its urgent."

Plo Koon nodded and shut the door using the force with a swift comment," Prep the ship, I will be along shortly."

Turning back to the room, he stroked the cheek of the infant before speaking. "I must go, as you likely heard there is an incident. I will be back, and until then, you should be treating this baby as a hero."

Danzo didn't move as the other elders nodded in agreement. Hiruzen spoke softly," We will treat Minato's legacy as it deserves. Be safe Master Jedi. You always have a home here."

Plo Koon bowed towards Hiruzen, before he walked swiftly from the room. Within minutes, the leaders of the village watched as the ship that took him here rose, and vanished into the sky.

Five Years Later

Plo Koon ended the battle by decapitating the Sith Aligned Kel Dor, Tar Saroo's head falling to the ground with a wet thud. Checking the area, he noticed that he was alone. Activating his commlink, he spoke to the pilot of his mission vessel. " We are done here. We need to stop by the Baran Do monastery."

"Got it Jedi." The hissing voice of the Sugi spoke over the coms, as Plo Koon busied himself by thinking of the last five years. Being undercover in the Baran Do was one of the toughest assignments he had ever done. Yet killing his friend was the harshest portion. He turned his lightsaber off, and sat by the body, realizing that this moment reminded him eerily of his last moments on Shin'o.

The ship sat down, allowing Plo Koon to slide into the vessel, his mind still on the issue of Shin'o, specifically the issue of Naruto. Carried on his person, the scroll that decreed him the boy's guardian sat heavy. He remembered the feeling Naruto gave with the force, as if they were best friends.

Plo Koon mentally scoffed at the thought of a chosen one, even when his friend Qui Gon was so determined in its existence. However, if it did exist, it would be Naruto. Plo Koon didn't believe such a thing such as prophecy, but definitely knew what he felt. A strong and undeniable attachment to the Force, that many Jedi Master's would never experience at birth. If that didn't label someone as the chosen one, then nothing would. Plo Koon chucked when he thought of Kushina's reaction to being told her son was the Chosen One of the Jedi Order. He would actually pay to see the Council's faces.

He cleared his mind as he entered the monastery and spoke to the lead sage, noting that the Sugi pilot was paid with a datachip, likely containing further leads towards military weapons. As he left the planet using his personal craft, he thought about what he would request from the council.

Grand Master Yoda looked at his fellow council member in concern. While most would never be able to see it, Yoda took pride in knowing each of his fellow council contemporaries extremely well. Plo Koon was exhausted. Five years being undercover could damage even the strongest Jedi, and something was nagging him. Yoda felt through the Force and hummed.

"You feel regret, sadness, and determination. Why?" The green Grand Master of the Jedi asked as Plo tried to center himself once more. The two had already spoke of his regret at having to kill his friend, and his mission in the Baran Do, so Plo knew that the Grandmaster was asking what else bothered him.

"I… I feel as if I am neglecting a duty. The people of Shin'o were… were not the best, when I left them." Plo admitted softly.

Yoda nodded. He remembered the report that Plo Koon shared with the council; that a huge beast appeared then attacked the village killing many and, in the aftermath, Plo Koon was forced to leave before truly being of assistance. "As a Jedi, first come the needs of the Galaxy. Difficult such a decision is, to leave suffering behind." Plo was silent and the Grand Master sank into meditation.

Sometime later, Yoda opened his eyes and saw Plo Koon still waiting. "Bothers you what does Master Plo Koon?"

"As you meditated, I came to a decision. I… I need time to meditate and check on Shin'o. The Force is guiding me back, and I cannot ignore it any longer." Plo Koon explained his feelings of the Force as well as he could to the Jedi Master who hummed and nodded along.

"Uncertain times we live in. Rest for the weary, necessary it is. Long missions and harsh challenges you have endured. Go. Grant time we will."

"Thank you, Grandmaster. I will of course be available for as many council meetings as I can. The Delta 7 should be able to patch me through even on Shin'o." Plo Koon stood and headed towards the door.

"Master Plo Koon. Great change coming, I see that there will be. The future became clouded, with this decision. Make the best choices you can for the Galaxy on Shin'o, yes?" The Grandmaster's tone was conversational, yet Plo Koon recognized the order for what it was. He bowed in response and swiftly left the room.

Naruto scrunched his face up, and reached under the tree by sliding his hand deep into the hole between the roots. With a yell of success, he yanked the kunai free from where he tossed it. It was rusted and chipped, but it was his. He ran back towards the line he scrapped into the dirt and prepared himself to throw. Cocking his arm back as far as he could, he threw the kunai forward, pouting as it tumbled end over end.

"You aren't using proper technique young one." The baritone voice made the young blond jump. Looking behind him, he saw a man with orangish-brown skin, similar to leather with weird circular extensions on either side of his face. Each one extended into a boney appendage ending just below his chin. The eyes and mouth of the man were covered by a dull metal apparatus. The man wore a brown robe and his hands were only four fingered and tipped in claws. Behind him, a shinobi with a mask and his headband turned so that only one eye was exposed leaned against a tree watching the two interact.

"Are you one of those Jedi that Gramps Hokage talks about?" Naruto asked as he cocked his head. He wanted to get away from the guy, but something told him that he wasn't in danger at all. Unlike when he talked to the Old Man with Scars that sometimes was in the Hokage's office when he would visit Old Man Hokage.

"I am indeed one of those Jedi. I am Jedi Master Plo Koon. You are Naruto are you not?" the calm voice that Plo Koon used hid his alarm at what he was seeing.

Naruto was an unkempt child, with hair that was tangled and unwashed, clothes that were ripped torn and in places so dirty they appeared black. The boy wore no shoes, and had a clear lack of consistent food, as he was skinny nearly to the point of malnourishment. Plo thought of everything that had happened to get to this point.

When he arrived on the planet, and spoke to Hiruzen, he immediately asked to see the boy. Only to be told that for the last three months, the boy had only been seen in glimpses as he moved around the village. Plo Koon was furious when Hiruzen explained that no matter what he did, the civilians treated the child as a social stigma, a blight on the village. He could stop the violence, but even he couldn't be everywhere to stop the negativity that the citizens saw fit to utilize. Kicked out of the orphanage, and not allowing anyone to rent to the boy was one method the village used to "punish" the Fox Brat. Even the shinobi clans were unwilling to help as each offer was seen by the other clans as a means to gather more power.

Hiruzen was politically handicapped as well by the situation, as Naruto, being the Jinchuriki of the Leaf, was both at this moment a military asset and a civilian, granting dual custody to himself and the Civilian Board. It was everything he could to ensure that the boy had food to eat occasionally, even as the village seemed to run itself into the ground. Every negative thing short of war and a coup had been attempted on the village in the last five years, with the two most major things being the defection of Orochimaru, the Third's student, and the Hyuuga Incident where the Village of the Clouds attempted to steal a child of the Hyuuga clan, and died in the attempt. That occurred a mere three months previously, and had occupied much of Hiruzen's efforts.

"Did you kill Orochimaru Hiruzen?" The look on the old shinobi's face gave Plo his answer.

"I understand the difficulty in killing one's student. It is one of the hardest burdens that a teacher can be tasked with. You chose the path that the Jedi would be proud of." Plo Koon swiftly left the office to search for the child he knew he would be teaching. Near instantly, he found a shinobi who introduced himself as Kakashi, who he knew better as the Dog-Masked Shinobi from his last visit.

"Yo, you're Plo Koon right?" The grey haired Shinobi asked as he looked at the jedi with his sole exposed eye.

"Yes, how may I help you?" Plo Koon asked curiously. If he remembered correctly, Kakashi was trained by Minato and was the last surviving member of the squad. A genius of a shinobi, Kakashi was, in Minato's words, a talent among the talented. The duo quickly jumped to the nearest rooftop, as Kakashi motioned for them to be silent.

Walking over to the alleyway between buildings, Kakashi motioned for them to listen.

"Look, I know that Hokage-sama said that we should be unbiased. But that thing comes to class every day and is obviously not human. We shouldn't be treating it as such." The voice of a silver haired chunin carried softly on the wind as the two watched the scene.

Walking beside him another chunin spoke just as softly, scratching his cheek. "Mizuki, it's not that I don't dislike the Fox, or the kid for that matter he's nothing but trouble with his pranking... I just don't think we should treat him any differently. I don't feel like dying because I dislike the kid."

"Iruka. It's not a damn kid! It's a demon in human form and we should be killing it, not teaching it our ways!" the silver haired one growled as he stopped in the alley way. "Just like we shouldn't be letting monsters from the sky into the village! Did you know one just came in? It had the nerve to walk by Tsubaki at the desk without even checking in!"

Kakashi looked towards Plo Koon, who had a thinking expression on, rubbing his chin. A habit he picked up from Kenobi. "We should find Naruto."

"He normally is up ahead, training ground 12." Kakashi jumped forward, easily clearing the alleyway and sending the chunin away. The jedi followed suit, easily catching up.

"I've always wanted to do more, but between missions and the delicate situation…" Kakashi started as they jumped towards the training grounds. Plo Koon merely listened, and Kakashi took his silence for misunderstanding.

"As it is, if any shinobi affiliated with a clan helps the child, it could spark a clan civil war. Most of the non-clan shinobi don't want to help and those that do are the higher levels of ANBU or are in similar situations to myself." He tapped the eye he had covered. "Most shinobi are connected to a clan in some way. Me? I'm an honorary Uchiha and Inuzuka."

Plo Koon asked a clarifying question, "When did it start?"

"About six months after you left, the clans were very unhappy with the Hokage. Turns out, Danzo was taking clan children and using them in his branch of ANBU. Real dark stuff. Assassinations, emotional manipulation, experimentation on bloodlines and techniques. More came to light when Hokage-sama forced Orochimaru out of the village." Kakashi spoke softly about the secrets of the Village. "It was a big blow up. Hokage-sama kept his position because, to be honest, there isn't anyone in the village that can do the job even half as well that isn't his student. The Uchiha were clamoring for their leader Fugaku, while every other clan wanted their leader to be the Fifth. Danzo, well Danzo was told to shut down his branch, and to retire quietly. He played the "I was following orders" card."

"What about you Kakashi?" Plo Koon asked. The Jedi didn't know him well, but he was aware of how talented the young man was. Nearly the same age now as when Plo Koon met Minato for the first time, he was certain that the silver-haired shinobi was nearly as strong as his teacher was at that time.

"I… I never put my name forward. I'm not certain I am strong enough for such a position."

"Before leaving, I will see that for myself." The duo fell silent as they landed in the training ground and watched as Naruto attempted to throw a rusted and ruined kunai.

Plo Koon was forced to come back to the present by Naruto asking him," Hey can you help me throw this? I sorta don't understand what the academy wants me to do. The teacher just says throw it and the other kids all do something different…" The boy asked as if he expected the answer to be no, or to be told to get away; his shoulders and legs were tensed to move and his eyes flitted around for escape routes.

Plo Koon felt hot anger rush through his veins before he took a deep breath and sat down on the packed dirt of the clearing. "Come. Sit with me Naruto." With a confused expression the five-year-old sat down beside the Jedi, attempting to sit in the same cross-legged position.

Once the child was comfortable, Plo Koon asked, "What is it that you want most in the world Naruto?" The blond youth scrunched his face up, having never been asked something like that before. He thought for several minutes, nearly opening his mouth multiple times, but closing it when he looked at Plo Koon waiting patiently. He didn't want money; Gramps gave him plenty. He didn't want things, everyone seemed to have those. Did he want to be a shinobi? Yes, but why? What was the reason he put up with everything that he had?

Plo Koon gently allowed the boy to think, never interrupting the process. In his experience, trauma induced children were often some of the most intelligent. His time on Shin'o did not change that opinion in the slightest. The two sat like that for many minutes, until finally Naruto looked up with a set face and spoke in a whisper that only Plo Koon heard.

"I want people to see me."

Plo Koon nodded, before he spoke softly. "You want someone to see you for who you are, not the scum that they believe you to be. So, you act out, play pranks. You latched on to the Hokage, and are confused when he has to distance himself due to his position. You try to better yourself, because you see these successful shinobi around you getting waves and smiles while you get scowls frowns and yells."

The boy sank into himself slightly, before nodding, his eyes starting to tear up. Plo Koon twitched slightly, before taking another deep breath and speaking.

"Congratulations, Naruto. I see you. And I will always see you from now on. Get up. We need to see the Hokage." With a single fluid motion, the Jedi Master stood and helped the child to his feet.

Kakashi watched in silence as the Jedi and child walked towards him. "Master Jiriaya is due in the village in two days. If you wish… I can have him here in six hours." Plo Koon cocked his head slightly asking the question of why without doing so verbally.

Kakashi smirked under his mask,"He has been begging Hokage-sama to take the boy in forever. However, each time he asks, another issue comes up. Last time was the Hyuuga Incident."

Plo Koon nodded his approval as he picked up the five-year-old child. "Sorry for this Naruto, but we must move swiftly to make it to the tower before Hiruzen leaves for the day." The duo of Jedi and child jumped towards the Hokage Tower, leaving Kakashi to flash through handsigns, and slam a palm down. In a rush of smoke, a small pug appeared yawning.

Writing swiftly on a scroll, he rolled it up and handed it to the pug," Okay, I need you to take this to Jiraiya."With a soft bark, the pug shot off, disappearing in a blur of speed.

In mere minutes, the Jedi and his passenger arrived at the Hokage Tower. Ignoring the secretary saying they weren't able to enter, the duo barged into the office that was obviously having a small altercation occurring between three men and the Hokage.

Plo Koon recognized one of the men; his scared face being covered partially by bandages, Danzo stood in the middle of the trio. On the man's left, a man with long brown hair, an expensive pair of robes and tunic, and pupiless white eyes that were glaring at the intruders with disdain. The man to Danzo's right held an equally irritated glare that worsened when sighting Naruto. His medium length of black hair framed his face, and Plo Koon swore he saw the man's eyes flash red.

"What is the meaning of this? Can't you see the Hokage is busy?" The man with medium hair spat with barely concealed contempt.

"This is merely a courtesy notification. Hiruzen, as per the Shin'o Accords, I will be taking Naruto." Plo Koon addressed Hiruzen directly ignoring the three other men. Danzo frowned as the other two were in shock. Hiruzen merely folded his hands under his chin.

The long haired man responded first,"Absolutely not! You cannot take that child!"

The medium haired man agreed, "As much as I loathe to agree with the Hyuuga, the Uchiha will not allow you to take such a military asset from the village."

Danzo nodded, and turned back to the Hokage. "It has been decided. Naruto will stay in the Leaf."

Hiruzen's eyes hardened and he spoke in a whisper that made Naruto nearly step out of the room due to its coldness. "I don't recall you being made Hokage Danzo. I do recall a promise I made to you regarding Naruto and decisions you make, however. Are you making such a decision?" Slowly the room seemed to darken, as Hiruzen slowly stood. Planting his hands on the desk, the Hokage leaned over the wood and continued to speak softly. "I allow you to question me. I allow you to plot and scheme to take my burden as your Kage. I allow you to live in my village, and treat you as family. However, it seems that you have forgotten that I am Hokage because there isn't a person in this village who can take my seat. You aren't allowed to decide what happens to military assets. You don't get to decide what happens to the village. I do. If you want to change that, find me a replacement that isn't going to be a damn puppet to this scum in front of me." He pointed to Danzo. "Until then, know your place and get the hell out of my office." With as dignified poses as possible the trio left, with Danzo stopping by Plo Koon who stood protectively in front of Naruto.

"He will not leave Jedi. Regardless of what he wants." The words were whispered, so low that Hiruzen couldn't catch them. Danzo continued to walk out of the room, shutting the door behind him.

"That may become a problem Hiruzen." Plo told the elder shinobi as he directed the young boy down on the sofa in the office.

Hiruzen sighed as he lit his pipe before collapsing into his chair. "It already is a problem. I can't just kill him however. He has too much influence with the clans. Killing him will guarantee that there is a new kage, and no one who clamors for the position is ready."

Plo nodded, before thinking. He vocalized his thoughts slowly as they came to him." What of Kakashi? If I am gauging his strength correctly, he is nearly as strong as Minato was when he became Kage. He is also a neutral option, tied to only two clans minimally, and he seems tactical enough for the position."

Hiruzen nodded as he puffed on the tobacco in his pipe. "Kakashi is one of the few that could perform this job well. His strength is also commendable and not insignificant. If I could train him, he would be able to replace me within a year or two. He merely shows no inter-"

The old shinobi ceased his talking as his eyes flashed towards the window. Plo Koon having sensed his arrival, was calm. With a jiggle of the lock, the window was shimmied up and a man with a long mane of white hair, a unique metal forehead protector and green tunic and pants, with a red vest and massive scroll on his back slipped into the office. Over his shoulder, two shinobi wearing blank white masks laid motionless, their necks at wrong angles.

"Hello Sensei. Did you know that you had some trash listening in? Don't get up. I took it out." With a bodily thud, the two bodies hit the ground and Jiraiya met Plo Koon's gaze. "So, explain to me where you are taking my godson."

At that, the blond exploded in anger, having comprehended that clearly. "Wait a minute! You are my godfather?! WHERE THE HELL WERE YOU?!"

Jiraiya looked at the boy before sitting beside him, prompting the boy to throw a punch. Taking the weak punch to the chin, Jiraiya said nothing as the boy pounced on him, hitting him and crying.

"I… I was alone! Alone for so long! Where were you?!" The pounding gave way to sobs as the boy collapsed against the sturdy shinobi.

Finally, Jiraiya spoke," I'm sorry. I wanted to be with you but-" he was interrupted by Hiruzen who said,"It is my fault Naruto-kun. I ordered Jiraiya away for various missions, important to the Leaf. He had no choice in the matter."

Naruto sniffled and was about to lash out at Hiruzen before Plo Koon interfered. "Naruto. You are about to say something in anger, and you may never be able to take it back. I know you are hurting. I know you feel betrayed. But anger, hatred and rash decisions are a swift way to become alone." Naruto decided in that moment, his five-year-old mind being sold on the condition. "I want to leave now." He then proceeded to pout for the rest of the meeting.

Jiriaya looked at Hiruzen over the pouting child he had currently in his lap. "Sensei, I will be going with him as his Shinobi teacher and his godfather."

Hiruzen sighed as he turned to look out over the village. "Agreed. However I would like if you waited a few days before leaving. I'd like to gather some things for him to learn, which as a jinchuriki, he will be well suited for."

"Old man, you keep saying I am a jinchuriki…. What is that?" Naruto's curiosity broke through his pouting face. The three adults in the room looked at each other, communicating swiftly without saying a word. With a nod, Plo Koon knelt in front of the boy.

"Naruto. You have gained a lot of information today. I think it would be better to wait until we have left the planet, and gotten settled, before answering that question. The first reason, is your safety. There are many who would… kill you because of your status as a jinchuriki." Naruto's eyes widened in fright. "The last reason, I wish to tell you at the same time I tell you who your father and mother are, which I cannot legally do here."

Naruto's mouth opened and the begging tone came out before he could stop it,"You promise?...You'll tell me about my mom and dad?"

"We will tell you about your parents. Yes Naruto." Jiraiya answered for the Jedi, ruffling the boy's hair as he did so. With a nod the boy agreed to the terms, going silent once more, and leaning back into Jiraiya slightly.

Turning back to Hiruzen who was frowning in disapproval, Plo Koon swiftly continued, "I think we should test Kakashi, give him a mental task, as we agreed he had the strength to lead. Also, those things you wish him to learn, that is acceptable. I will never allow him to not learn of his people's ways. Now we must go into particulars."

Hiruzen nodded and drew out a scroll. Swiftly he wrote general parameters of a life long S-rank mission, to be taken on by newly minted Genin Naruto Uzumaki. With a swift smile over to the child, he said, "Congratulations Naruto, you are the youngest genin to ever be promoted, and the youngest to receive an S-Rank mission." Naruto merely smiled, his self-esteem growing with the pride coming in from Old Man Hokage. Naruto's smile fell when he remembered he was supposed to be mad at the Old Man, but he looked around the room. The other two, Jiraiya and Plo Koon, weren't mad. If he could guess, feeling outward as he always did to gauge others, he thought they were disappointed.

Plo Koon sensed the minute tendril of the Force, gauging his emotions. Following it in slight shock he realized it was coming from Naruto. A five-year-old already assessing emotion via the Force? The jedi pushed the thought aside as Jiraiya sneakily pressed a pressure point on the boy, calling him to fade into sleep.

"Now that he's out, we can discuss things in more detail. And before you object Plo, I want to surprise him with the shinobi aspects that he will learn as he learns them." Jiraiya spoke softly prompting the other two to nod in agreement, even reluctant as it was for the Jedi master.

"As a jedi, you are mainly a front line combatant and diplomat correct?" Jiraiya asked after shifting Naruto so that he laid fully on the couch. The Jedi nodded in agreement, as most Jedi would be classified that by Shinobi standards.

"Okay, then we use ninjutsu to augment that. Give him some midrange options that would fool some opponents, and some Area of Effect jutsu if he has to handle groups to big to deal with Jedi style. What about fighting without that light sword?" Jiraiya spoke rapidly as he pulled out a pad and pencil, swiftly jotting down his thoughts as they came to him.

"Jedi rarely fight without a lightsaber. However, they are trained to wield blasters, pilot ships and how to utilize the force without resorting to their saber." The Jedi master explained as Jiraiya took notes.

"Okay, that's all good and whatnot, but I think we are going to have to nix some of that in Naruto's case." Jiraiya looked up and met Plo Koon's eyes before continuing. "Shinobi by design are great hand to hand fighters. Not only that, but we also have an issue with speed. There is a limit to how fast a shinobi, or any being for that matter, can react even with the Force. It is entirely possible that augmenting with Chakra and the Force will reach that limit and make a lightsaber simply too dangerous to use."

Plo Koon furrowed his brow. There were instances in the jedi archives of extremely high speed movement making the use of a lightsaber more of a detriment. "We must teach him how to use a lightsaber."

"I agree. That sword of yours is an extremely powerful equalizer in any fight. No, we train him in three ways. While we train his body and his connection with the Force, we also train him to handle high speed movement. With these." With a grin the Shinobi pulled from his pocket a scroll that he rolled out. Pressing a finger to the diagram made a lacquered box appear in a poof of smoke. Opening the box, Jiraiya showed a set of bracelets and anklets, each in a silvery gold alloy inscribed with various seals nestled on the blue velvet of the interior of the box.

Hiruzen grinned in triumph. "You found them? Wonderful."

Plo was not as understanding. "What do they do Jiraiya?"

"These are chakra density weights. The more chakra the wearer has, or if tweaked, pumped into them, the heavier the wearer feels. In reality it is a pinnacle of sealing, where chakra is sealed away to create weight ratios on the limbs that the piece is touching. Under the velvet is the fifth piece, a necklace." Jiraiya gently raised the velvet sheet, showing the golden chain, with links lined with seals.

Plo Koon nodded slightly, before asking,"Won't that stunt his growth if we allow him to train with such large weights?"

Jiraiya frowned slightly, before shaking his head after a moment's thought. "No, the Nine-Tails heals anything that the boy does to himself. As long as we keep him fed healthily, we should be able to skirt this line. And there is a major limit here as well. The weights can't be used for longer than a few years due to the density of chakra that we will be putting through the seals. We should wait to do this measure until he is around 10 to 13. By then, the chakra density will be the most optimal and he won't be over loading the seals in months rather than years."

Hiruzen puffed his pipe before asking how Jiraiya knew that. The man chuckled sheepishly. "About that, I went to Kumo and talked to Killer Bee and then I went to Mizu to talk to the Mizukage. Both have full control of their tailed beast, though the Mizukage likes to keep that a secret."

Hiruzen sighed and took a deep breath, letting his anger dissipate for moment before speaking. "What did they want in return for that information?"

Jiraiya spoke gravely. "Bee wanted nothing, said that helping a jinchuriki was enough as long as I didn't tell his brother. Yagura wanted you to retire. I said I don't have the authority to make that happen, but I can line up a successor. He agreed that when he sends a message, if you aren't the one to respond as Hokage, he will ally with the Leaf. "

"How long do I have before he expects me to not be hokage Jiraiya?" Hiruzen shut his eyes as he waited for the time limit he knew would be coming.

"A year and a few months now. He needed to deal with his pregnant wife, and get his child situated."

"A year…. Jiraiya, One of the final tasks I shall ask you is to get Kakashi and bring him here immediately. If he is to be my successor, then he needs to understand the life-long mission that you and Naruto-kun will be on. Plo Koon, while he does we must prepare his mental task."

Within two days, the group was ready to leave the planet. After Jiraiya accepted his life-long mission to be Naruto's tutor and the Shin'o representative to the Jedi Council as per the new Shin'o Referendum, he was prepared to leave. The last thing to do was for Plo Koon to gather Minato's last gift to his son. The two Shin'o natives were already on the ship, receiving a tour from one of the droids, as Plo entered the Hokage's office.

Sitting behind the desk was the newest incumbent Hokage, Kakashi. Having passed his mental task easily, and agreeing to be trained by the Third Hokage personally every morning and evening, the silver-haired shinobi was already behind the desk filling out paperwork. Looking up, he smiled at the Jedi Master before gesturing towards his secretary to leave.

As soon as the door shut, Kakashi asked,"What can I do for you Master Plo Koon?"

The Ker Dor motioned with his hand, making the top right drawer of the desk to open, and a hidden button to press. In a poof of smoke a lacquered box appeared with three locks holding it shut. Carved across the top, inlaid with gold, were the words, "Speak falsely, all shall be lost."

Heaving the box up, without opening it, Plo Koon bowed to the new Hokage of the Leaf. "We will be leaving shortly. The Jedi Council will wish to establish a connection with you as the new leader of your people. I am sorry but gaining a new apprentice means I will be too busy to come consistently. You will do wonderful work if you stick with your teachings. May the Force be with you Kakashi." With that, the Jedi Master took his leave from the office and with his new companions, the planet.

AN: First, I apologize for the delay. This was supposed to go up 24 hours ago, however life is hectic right now, primarily due to the second aspect. Speaking of, I am moving states on the 29th, therefore my time has been occupied dealing with that. In fact, I am actually behind, having not finished chapter 7 yet, which is my rule to posting this story. However, I have a small method of getting away with it.

Now to speak on the chapter. Due to the massive amount of years we are dealing with we will be seeing a fair amount of time skips. Especially for moments such as this, where a lot of the things don't matter to the nature of the story. Now, some would write another 20k words about how much Plo struggled to be away from his duty, and the trials that Naruto dealt with. However I cannot in good faith do that. My outline for this story is close to 300k words, without much details such as combat scenes. It is literally X fights Z, and Z wins because A reason. There is politics, war, strife a sprinkle of romance and more. I don't think adding unnecessary angst is the correct path. Just like there won't be much covering the early years of Naruto's training outside of flashbacks.

This format was adapted from the Star Wars media, specifically the Movies, the animated clone wars cartoon, their companion novels and comics, and what I have to do to keep sane when writing so much information. Hope you all enjoy, I will see you July 9th for the next installment, should I have internet to post it by then.
