There is a massive AU at the bottom addressing a question. You have been warned. Enjoy the chapter!

Jiraiya frowned as he entered the Battle Master's personal study. He was asked to deal with a situation that Mace Windu desired his viewpoint on. That wasn't the weirdest aspect of the visit however. No that honor was to the datachip that he was just tossed by the Battle Master. It was perfect for his holopad; a standard thing that he received when he first joined the greater galaxy and used to teach himself basic. He questioned the Battle Master, knowing the Jedi's opinion of his people.

"Why are you having me look at this Master Windu?" The former Spy Master asked, his frown deepening as he rubbed the datachip slightly with his thumb. He was no slouch when it came to gathering of information, even in this technology reliant galaxy, Jiraiya's methods were still extremely effective. A fact that even the Council could not deny any longer. After 9 years, Jiraiya thought he was due a small amount of trust. After all, he does help train one of the best padawans that the Order had seen in years.

Mace's face was grave as he looked at the datachip that the shinobi held. Personally, he did not care for the shinobi's methods, nor his kill or be killed mentality. He allowed his distaste for his company to drift into the Force, as he focused entirely on the positives of the man. Jiraiya, while a pervert, was one of the strongest combatants that he had ever witnessed. He was supremely talented, even if he did not wield a lightsaber. His capabilities to travel, to spy and to engage informational sources was such that the Grandmaster himself said that there were none in the Order who could match him. He personally had his doubts that the loud boisterous man in his study could blend into any crowd, let alone gather information, but he was not one to disagree with Master Yoda on such matters.

"On that chip is the data we have concerning 19 incidents where jedi were wounded. Further there is another incident where a Knight level jedi was killed on a mission. These have all happened in the last three years, the death was 2 months ago. The general method of injury is explosive, primarily on ships, though there are a couple early ones where a poison from some form of fungus was utilized. It was force resistant, blended to the point that its base was nearly impossible to discern and was injected via a scratch from a blade of some form." Jiraiya's eyes narrowed as he placed the data chip into his holopad and began to rapidly read. His brow furrowed under his headband as he mentally scoffed. The incidents were all staged accidents. Mainly ships "malfunctioning" at various stages, with the only uses of poison being used on attempts three and five. The padawans involved luckily could pull the poison from their bodies similar to a medic nin, allowing them to survive what he recognized as a fairly aggressive poison based out of Kusa on Shin'o. The issue being of course that particular poison hadn't been used by a shinobi worth their salt in over three decades, unless things had regressed in his time away.

His reading was interrupted by the door to the study banging open, and a male with dreadlocks, and a yellow bar tattoo on his face entering, waving a holopad in the air. "Mace! I've come to a conclusion."

The jedi froze in his tracks seeing Jiraiya in front of the Battle Master. Jiraiya eyed the new comer warily. He knew a fighter when he saw one, and this one moved like a fighter. A lightweight, muscled frame that was not covered by standard jedi robes. His lightsaber was attached below his belt, via a small chain, and his hands were callused from work. The man's eyes were jovial, yet that merely hid a flash of devious intent. Intent Jiraiya did not fail to miss, knowing that look well as it was one he had seen many veteran shinobi wear. He was pulled from his assessment by the man speaking.

"Who are you?"

Jiraiya repeated the question back, his tone slightly sarcastic. "Who, are you?"

Mace Windu's frown deepened further before interrupting the impending contest that he knew was about to occur. "This is Quinlan Vos, a Shadow, the Jedi's equivalent to your ANBU."

Jiraiya nodded as Quinlan shrugged. He asked a pointless question, "What are ANBU?" Mace answered with gritted teeth.

"Shin'o equivalent to Shadows."

Quinlan walked deeper into the study, standing by Jiraiya easily. Looking the man up and down, the Jedi smirked. "So… you're one of those Shinobi?"

Jiraiya laughed mockingly, before flexing his muscles slightly, "One of those shinobi?! No! I am the shinobi!"

Quinlan chuckled at the man's antics before asking his next question," So how would you go about these assassinations, Shinobi?"

Jiraiya smirked as he fell into his own shadow, that was luckily connected to Quinnlan's. In an instant he rose from the man's shadow, a kunai to his throat. "Like this…" He frowned when he noticed that the man's skin didn't have any resistance, before a tube, that Jiraiya idly knew was a lightsaber hilt was placed against his back, one inch below his heart.

"I see. I'd say I'm better though, Shinobi." Quinlan quipped, his tone as easy going as one could be while holding a weapon to another man's heart. His eyes narrowed when the Jiraiya in front of him popped in a rush of smoke, and a blue ball of swirling something that felt like the Force was held to his left cheek by another Jiraiya that fell from the ceiling.

"A physical copy? Totally cheating!" Quinlan whined as the ball slowly disappeared; its energy being reabsorbed by Jiraiya. Who quickly responded, his tone accusatory.

"Says the man who walked in behind an illusion of himself because he wasn't sure who was in the room."

Quinlan shrugged nonchalantly, his expression not showing any signs of guilt. "Its only cheating if the other guy does it."

Jiraiya nodded sagely," Shinobi rule number 3."

Quinlan's eyes lit up in humor,"Oh that's your number three? Mine is don't store the ammo near the reactor."

Jiraiya laughed, "That sounds like our rule 88; don't store the Tags near the matrixes."

Mace Windu, who was slowly turning a violent shade of purple and was slowly opening and closing his fists, interrupted at the unknown term. "Tags?"

Jiraiya nodded, his focus back on the matter at hand. "Yeah, tags. Normally they are slips of paper that seals, an application of our chakra, are written on. They can do a multitude of different things, from restraining someone in numerous ways, to holding items, to even exploding like these "accidents"."

Quinlan nodded, his research having given him similar, if not as detailed information. "Too bad I already ruled out a shinobi doing this."

Mace Windu raised an eyebrow. "How?" He noticed Jiraiya nodding along as if he had come to the same conclusion. "You as well. Explain."

The shinobi took the order easily, his previous boisterous demeanor fading away into a serious one. "The explosion residue is lopsided. A tag, at least a well made one, would be circular. Also, if it was as well made as those I gave the Council a few years back, they would have split the ship in half for at least a few of these attempts. Further that poison. Any shinobi worth their salt wouldn't have bothered using it, as its old. Which means there's a treatment for it. A shinobi would assume that if Shin'o can deal with it, so can the Jedi. They would have used something… much more difficult to treat." Jiraiya frowned. "There is also the fact that you only have one death. If a shinobi did it, they wouldn't have left a single survivor, let along 19. The Kages wouldn't have risked it, regardless of the money as it violates the Accords."

Quinlan nodded along at every point. As soon as Jiraiya finished he added his discoveries. "The poison wasn't injected via a blade either. The report was wrong. It was a dart that grazed the padawans, likely Mando as those are the only ones that inject even with a graze. There is also the placement of the explosives. No shinobi is going to know where to place those to make it look like an accident without blowing up the whole ship. Then there is the evidence that the Force was used in the area. To my knowledge there is only one Jedi who can use both and we all know his location is well accounted for. Plus, there has been no traffic from Shin'o of anyone capable of using Chakra. We know that for a fact, so it can't be a shinobi. But someone wants us to think it was Mace."

Mace Windu breathed deep, letting his emotions flow into the Force before answering. "Yes, but that doesn't mean one couldn't slip by. We had to be sure. From now on, you two are partners in this. Find me the one who killed my Jedi. Before another victim appears. Now get out of my hair."

Jiraiya and Quinlan looked to each other, their eyes gleaming, before speaking as one, "But you're bald!"

"GET OUT!"

The two ran from the study laughing the whole while.

They managed to find a bar outside the temple, still chuckling as they seated themselves in a booth. After both were served their drinks of choice, Quinlan opened the conversation.

"So, you heard Mace. We are partners for this. Guess that means you can call me Quin."

"I'm Jiraiya, the Toad Sage. You can call me Jiraiya though. What are your plans going forward though?" The shinobi asked as he took a sip of his drink. He swirled the liquid in his mouth for a moment before swallowing; a trick he learned from his medic teammate Tsunade.

Quin shrugged. "I planned on drinking until I thought of some way to track down our mark." He chugged his drink, waving the pretty waitress over. Jiraiya eyed her slightly before seeing the wedding armlet that that particular species was fond of. He forced his eyes away as he took another sip. The waitress looked at him with a smile before rushing away to grab the next drink.

"That was honorable. I've heard of your… habits and never thought you could control yourself." Quinn stated without any humor or negative connotation. It was a fact and observation. Jiraiya sighed as he sipped, allowing himself a moment to think.

"All my life I have been a pervert. But, my teacher once told me that people have many faces. At the time I didn't understand what he meant. After all, what 14 year old kid understands a statement like that? It wasn't until I thought about who I was at certain times, did I realize what he meant. I am a pervert, quite proudly too. But I am still a warrior, an honorable man, and more. She was clearly uncomfortable, so I stopped. It is that simple." The shinobi shrugged. "But enough about my personal things. I have an idea about how to track down our assassin."

Quinn's eyebrow rose in response as he continued to drink. The silent order to continue was clear. Jiraiya obeyed.

"We need to go to Shin'o. There isn't any way that poison came from anywhere else. The tags… well those are a bit different. A good force user could probably recreate those crappy versions if they tried hard enough. Or you could buy 'em from a questionable market. I know a few of them have gotten around the galaxy from various means."

Quinn nodded as he thought. "I don't want to go to Shin'o and it be heavily regulated like usual. We won't get anything done."

Jiraiya smirked. "Leave the travel there to me. I have a few methods."

Hiruzen smirked as a blast of smoke appeared as a small toad slammed its hand against the hard wood of his former office. His second successor, Kakashi Hakate, sat with a trio of duplicates furiously going through the mountains of now digitized paperwork that the kage of a shinobi village had to deal with. Hiruzen mused that the discovery of the greater galaxy caused much growth in the Shin'o populous. Just looking out over Konoha proved that.

The village was more of a city, as it always was. However, it now had dozens of screens, multiple species of non-shin'o natives and even a new transit hall. The Village was still a military dictatorship, with the Hokage being the end all be all, how ever the world at large had changed. Shinobi were now being trained to be mercenaries in the greater galaxy, as the shinobi nations reorganized into the Shin'o World Power Council. For the first time, meetings between the Five Kage ended in laughter and promises of continued partnership instead of blood, war and suffering.

Hiruzen's pondering on the state of affairs in the Shin'o world ceased as out of the smoke Jiraiya's belly laugh could be heard. He smiled slightly at his student, who was laughing hilariously at the male that was clenching his stomach as if he was just punched. 'Ah, a non-Shinobi being reversed summoned has a nauseating effect. Interesting.

"Lord Jiraiya, welcome back to Shin'o. Is there anything you needed? Or are you visiting the bath houses again? I should warn you Tsunade has decided to stay in the village permanently, so do be warned." Kakashi spoke without even looking up, knowing that his ANBU and predecessor would handle the Toad Sage should the need arise.

Jiraiya chuckled softly as he helped his companion up. "No, I sadly don't have the time to do any research… We are here on business. This is my companion, Jedi Quinlan Vos. We have a question for you two." The laughter slowly eased from the Toad Sage's eyes as he became serious.

Hiruzen puffed on his pipe as he listened to the brief synopsis of the duo's mission. With a glance towards Kakashi, he asked permission to handle the situation. The silver haired Kage blinked his acceptance, his mind already racing on how to handle a worse case scenario.

"You are certain that this poison was from Shin'o Jiraiya?" Hiruzen asked as he stood and strolled towards the window overlooking the village. His question was not answered by his former student, but by Quinlan.

"We are certain it was from this planet, but we are also fairly certain it was not a shinobi who is the perpetrator. It is too sloppy, not elegant and has too many holes. If it was a shinobi, the greater galaxy wouldn't be making a fuss about your people." The shinobi in the room grinned savagely. The greater galaxy all knew that it was only due to the deal with the Jedi Order that shinobi had not taken any "contracts" off world. The Accords were what held the Shinobi in peace with the Republic; a Republic that were skeptical of their worth to the galaxy. At least until an attempt was made on assassination of a Feudal Lord by a Mandalorian Bounty Hunter, paid for by a now former Senator. The Senate were unsure of how the man was captured, but they are certain that his manner of death was the hole in his torso that tore through his armor as if it was not there. Ever since, there had been talks of a Republic based treaty, which would give greater freedom to the Shinobi populous. The Kage were questioning the nooses required for such leashes however, as they knew the truth about fear based treaties.

Kakashi spoke up, as his lone eye locked with Quinlan Vos. The Jedi Knight noted absently that the eye held a deep understanding of life, and how it could end. There was an eye that had seen war, seen death, and had seen life. "There has not been a shinobi tasked with a mission to attack, assassinate, or even gain intel upon the Jedi. If it was a shinobi, it was a rogue, and as such they do not reflect our views or positions. If you catch them, they will be executed for violating their oath to me." There was cold certainty in that last sentence, as if the world would not allow for any other outcome. If there was a rogue, they would die. The Jedi Master nodded before turning back to his partner. Jiraiya could handle this better than he.

"Did anyone come three or four years ago and ask any odd questions?" Jiraiya asked, putting emphasis on odd in a way that Quin couldn't comprehend. The oldest shinobi nodded and snapped his fingers.

"A man on your Jedi Council visited three years previously. A Dodu? Tall, bearded. Two lightsabers." Hiruzen noticed how Quinlan stiffened and Jiraiya's face grew stony. An ANBU member appeared before him, holding a large scroll. With a flick, the scroll was open and Hiruzen rapidly picked out the sealing matrix he needed. A drop of blood and a rush of smoke, a trio of documents were in his hands.

"Looks like his tail followed him into sector seven, the Red Light Area. Why is it an issue?"

Quinnlan answered his voice a guttural growl. "Dooku left the Jedi Order three years ago. About a month before the attacks started."

The room was silent as Hiruzen's face became closed off, and Kakashi's eye became filled with fury. Quin shuddered slightly as an oppressive air pressed down on the room, originating from the silver haired Hokage. The man spoke, his voice barely above a whisper as he locked Quin in place with his glare.

"Explain to me Jedi why I was never informed of that? Why I was never informed of a possible security leak; a possible threat to my people. Explain to me why the Jedi Council failed to uphold the values of the Accords they signed!?" Kakashi's voice never raised, his tone like a whip as the pressure in the room increased. Quinn noticed that even Jiraiya was looking at him, his posture slightly aggressive and betrayal flashing in his eyes.

Quin bit his tongue slightly, knowing that if the wrong thing was said… he mentally shuddered as his thoughts turned dark. He thought about the situation with Dooku; specifically what was done. It clicked immediately. "Lord Hokage, I swear to you. It was not the Jedi's intent to harm our Accord, nor was it the Jedi's intent to threaten your peace or your people. When Master Dooku left the order, it was a frenzy. With him, three of our more promising Knights also left. The High Council then drafted a formal response, sent to each of our allies by a Jedi. That you were never informed was the fault of the Jedi tasked with that, not the Jedi order. I cannot apologize enough. I can promise that the Council will be informed as soon as I am capable." Quin bowed low and stayed there waiting for the Hokage to order him off the planet. He stayed bowing even when Kakashi snapped towards Jiraiya.

"Why didn't you report this?!" The voice of the Hokage made Jiraiya scowl. Few would ever get away with such a tone. Luckily this was a unique circumstance.

"I was told by the Council that you were informed when I was made aware, 9 months after it happened. I also passed the information on via toad anyway, on my 138th report. Did you not read it?" Jiraiya ordered as he pulled his notebook from his vest. Scanning swiftly, he found the relevant log.

Hiruzen's eyes narrowed as a gut feeling made him ask his next question. "Jiraiya, how many reports have you sent total?" The spy master instantly answered, " 217"

Hiruzen and Kakashi exchanged a glance. "We have only received 216. There was a month without contact three years ago. Dooku spoke on the silence and stated that you were on a mission with your charge. When it wasn't reported on, we assumed it was hushed up by Jedi Council. When you next reported that your mission went well, we didn't question it…"

Jiraiya grimaced. "How did you not receive my report though? I'll find out right now." Rapidly going through handsigns, he summoned a toad with green skin and a cloak around the size of a small child. "Jiraiya-boy. Why am I being summoned during lunch?" The toad asked as he casually hit his summoner with a long staff.

"Because Pa, I need to know if any of my report toads failed…" The sage's voice gained a sad edge to it as it asked that question. He knew the toads all by name, had helped trained the last two generations of them for various positions, had even witnessed the growth of the next chief from a tadpole to their current small stature. To speak of one of their failures or worse, was like a spike into the heart.

Pa, the eldest summonable toad, was the de factor leader of all toads, higher even than the Chief of the combat legions. He was the keeper of the roster of all toads of Mt. Myoboku, the teacher of the Senjutsu of the toad clans, and the Sage Who had Seen Much. One of the oldest entities in the Galaxy that was not twisted by the Dark Side of the Force, Pa was well known to the Jedi. Highly respected by even the Grand Master of the Order, Pa's voice and opinions were absolute when it was asked for. The old toad spoke with sadness. "I'm sorry Jiraiya-boy. Churo-chan disappeared 3 years ago, could not answer any summon attempts and only just faded from the scroll this morning. We believed she joined a Split-Contrac-"

"I am sorry Pa. She was murdered." Jiraiya spoke with a firm voice, cutting across his teacher. He was certain of it; his shinobi instincts flaring as the pieces fell into place. "I suspect Dooku. But I will find out for certain Pa. I swear it."

The Old Toad frowned as he bowed his head. "Jiraiya-boy. I don't know if Churo-chan was murdered. I just know that her name was blue and then it faded."

Jiraiya nodded, his jaw set. With a blast of smoke Pa left after saying his goodbyes. He looked back to the others in the room, and answered Quin's unspoken question. "Blue meant that a secondary, individual contract was entered. Commonly it is done with familiar bonds, but some summoners get the right as well."

Hiruzen offered his apologies. "I am sorry Jiraiya. I know how much the toads mean to you…"

The Toad Sage nodded, as he looked towards Kakashi. "Where did Dooku go in the Red Light Area?" The question was more of a demand, however the Hokage answered never the less.

"We suspect that he met with Durro. He entered the Sleeping Siren and was not seen for three days. Once he emerged, he left the planet."

Jiraiya nodded his face hardening even further. He began to stroll towards the door when Kakashi's voice made him pause.

"Oh and Lord Jiraiya, as per the Accords and the Role Protectionary Act, Durro is now exempt to Order 44b. You may eliminate him and his empire. We have no need for… scum like that in my village." The Hokage's order gave Jiraiya a predatory smile that Quin appreciated in its savagery even if he could not see the smile itself under the blue half mask the man wore.

It wasn't until they left the Tower and started walking to the west wing of the village that the Jedi spoke. "Why are you happy to kill Durro Jiraiya?"

The toad sage slowed his stride, making sure the Jedi matched his speed. "Durro is scum. He is a slaver, a black-market peddler, and a fountain of information that Konoha utilized for its own methods. That was why he was permitted to live in the village. There were unspoken rules of course. He could not operate his trade inside the village. He was not supposed to take any… resources of the village. He was also supposed to support the Village in its interests. By dealing with Dooku, he failed. As such he is not protected anymore."

Quin frowned as he listened to the shinobi. "Does your village still utilize him as such?" He of course could not speak of Jedi's skeletons. As such he was not judging, merely seeking more information.

Jiraiya grinned, his smile one without mirth. "Of course not. Kakashi is young, but he is also extremely pragmatic. He refuses to compromise on the morals he was instilled by my student. He has been systematically eliminating any aspect of the Konoha informational network that utilizes any black stains. He also replaces those with operatives that are shinobi, not scum. He runs a tight ship, that Copy-cat Kakashi."

Quin nodded as he thought of his master and the type of ship he ran. Soon the duo arrived at a bar called the Silver Siren. The two burly bouncers grinned stupidly at the two, and invited them in.

The interior of the bar was smokey and dark, filled with women in skimpy clothing moving around with drinks, as a bartender with clear criminal history stood washing a glass. Jiraiya strode towards him, wading through the various patrons who even during the daylight hours were drinking their misfortunes away. The jedi followed, eyeing the clearly non-so drunk patrons.

Jiraiya spoke a few words to the bartender who nodded and motioned for them to go on to the back of the bar. As the two slid into the dark hallways, they refused to flinch at the stench emanating from the rooms. Each guarded by another burly man, the main concern was the clear detonator that each man held in his hand. The two men continued down the hallway, doing their best to ignore the cries of women and men in the rooms. Soon they entered an office that was as extravagant as the Hokage office was, if it was never cleaned. At the desk the man that greeted Jiraiya and Quinn smiled, revealing rotted teeth.

"Greetings! Welcome to my wonderful abode. May I ask what you need Lord Shinob-" His voice was cut off as Jiraiya seemingly vanished only to reappear with his hand around the man's throat.

"You are going to tell me what I want to know. Then you are going to show me everything I want to see. Then you are going to tell me anything you think I will want to hear. Only then will your fate be decided. Now. Where are your accountings located." Jiraiya growled as the bodyguards on each end of the room took a few steps forward, only to be cut down by Quin's green saber before taking more than three steps.

Durro scrambled for air until his men died. As the last one dropped, so did his struggles. A man's voice, clearly unhindered by the tightening fist of Jiraiya, rang out from the hanging open mouth of Durro. "Well, Jiraiya, I guess the ruse is up. I am sorry old friend." A beeping was the first warning that the duo had, as with a roar, Jiraiya threw the body of Durro towards the far wall as he darted towards Quin. "Earth Wall! GET DOWN!"

A massive explosion shook the office as the shinobi and Jedi hid behind the swiftly risen earthen barricade. Quinn shook the cobwebs from his head as he eyed the destruction in the slowly falling dust.

"Jiraiya. Please tell me that wasn't Dooku's voice and that wasn't a lifelike droid." Quinn's question was asked in the still air. Jiraiya did not glorify it with a response, instead swiftly taking the now half droid in the crater that once housed the desk and sealing it into a scroll. "We will study it later. I want to make sure that what I think is true isn't true." He pointed to the small crack in the far wall of the office. A crack that was allowing a small breeze through shifting the dust.

With a hiss, Quin's lightsaber went to work, swiftly melting through the stone and creating an opening into a long dark hallway. The hallway was bare except for pipes and candles on the walls. Quin noticed that the walls, floor and ceiling were all lined with ceramic tiles with raised lines of grout between each.

Jiraiya noticed the Jedi's observation. "Makes holding the hallway easier in case of hostiles. Ceramic is hard to utilize with earth based jutsu, are highly heat and electric resistant and can be coated to repel water. With the raised grout lines, they also make sure that running down the hallway isn't silent, or comfortable." Jiraiya smirked at the surprise the Jedi showed. "It is a small advantage, but those have won wars before." The Jedi smirked as they started to run down the hallway.

Deeper and deeper under Konoha the duo ran, cutting down any person they came across. Jiraiya, upon meeting their first victim who was a shinobi wearing a blank white ceramic mask, immediately killed them, placed a scroll over the body, made handsigns that then sealed their body into the scroll, wrote a note on the same scroll and sent that off to Kakashi via toad that appeared in another puff of smoke after slapping the floor. In a moment, a small dog returned with orders to continue and clear out the tunnels.

Quin raised an eyebrow as Jiraiya read the orders aloud. "Okay. What just happened?" The sage sighed in response and began with," Shinobi's lives aren't pretty. But there are some missions even shinobi shouldn't do. That stuff that makes the black ops divisions look like saints. That stuff was normally handled by a sub-division known as Root. Root was led by a man named Danzo, and the system worked for a while. That is until Danzo decided Hiruzen was too soft to be Hokage and decided to attempt an assassination. Hiruzen ordered Danzo to disband Root, only sparing him for political reasons. He slunk into the shadows, and we always suspected that Root continued on, but couldn't prove it until now. That one was a living, breathing operative meaning that Danzo lied to the Hokage, and thus he ordered us to continue. He is likely gathering forces and is going to cleanse the tunnels completely. So if we want information, we need to hurry."

Thus the duo continued, Quin utilizing his lightsaber to eliminate any shinobi they came across as Jiraiya cut through entire groups of thugs and masked shinobi. Quin grinned as he saw Jiraiya fight. Shifting earth, blasts of white hot fire, highly efficient close combat emphasized by swirling energy balls, intense kicks and punches with power that cracked bones upon contact showcased why his master was so interested in the sage.

It wasn't until they reached a wide area room that connected four hallways that they stopped. Around them were signs of lightsaber combat, with limbs and bodies remaining. However, what truly stopped them was the squad of shinobi in the room, crouched and ready for combat. In the back was a trio of men, the one on the left was an orange haired shinobi with dead eyes. The one on the right was a female with long black hair and violet eyes that wore a stylized dress. The one in the center held Jiraiya's attention however. A man with one arm highly bandaged, half his face bandaged and a x shaped scar on his chin leaned against his cane.

Danzo spoke, his voice waspy even in the clear air. "Lord Jiraiya. You know that the tunnels under Konoha are forbidden for the non-authorized."

Quin smirked as he twirled his lightsaber by his side, its blade taking the attention of everyone. From the shadows along each side green sabers appeared as more Quinlan Vas appeared their smirks making the shinobi ready themselves for combat. Combat that was halted by another arrival.

"Danzo. I told you once, if you interfered with things you shouldn't you would die." The voice of Kakashi Hakate rang down the hallway as the man appeared casually walking into the room at complete ease.

Danzo replied easily, his gaze never leaving the Jedi who stood beside Jiraiya. "Lord Fifth. You know that I would not do anything to harm Konoha. My security was merely escorting me through the tunnels when we discovered the wreckage."

Kakashi glared at the old man. "Danzo, shut up before I decide your lies are enough to kill you. We both know exactly what your Roots are doing, and why you are here. Now. Tell Jiraiya what you know about Dooku."

Danzo tensed for a moment at the name, something Quinlan did not fail to notice. That name upsets him greatly. Why? His observations were categorized and catalogued when Danzo finally answered the question.

"I don't know about that man, but someone attacked the tunnels, killing anything she came across. There were signs that she was chasing someone. Someone she apparently captured and dragged back. My men attempted an ambush here. I suspect she was after Durro, but upon checking on him, Durro was completely fine."

Quin asked the question that everyone was wondering, his voice coming from every duplicate at once. "When did this attack happen?"

Danzo answered reluctantly at the Hokage's glare. "Two days ago. I don't know how the woman got on the planet, but I assumed my men failed and came to collect bodies."

Jiraiya nodded. "They were after Durro. Got him too. Left a droid behind that took the man's appearance to run the bar and likely the information network." He was silent on the fact that the droid wasn't destroyed entirely nor that it didn't exist anymore. Danzo didn't need that information, nor did his mindless soldiers.

Kakashi nodded. "Fine. I am going to count to 10. If you or your men remain in these tunnels, they will be killed by my ANBU. If they fight back, I hunt you personally."

Kakashi locked eyes with Danzo as he began to count. "One. Four. Six." Before the next word came from his mouth, the shinobi were gone, with Danzo's cane hitting the ceramic echoing down the hallway. As soon as the sound faded away, so did the illusions of Quin. With a pant, the Jedi Knight turned off his saber and crouched on the floor.

"Holding them for that long while making them feel as real as possible was hard…" He answered Jiraiya's unasked question. The sage nodded, having seen Plo Koon teach Force Illusions to Naruto and knowing how exhausting they could be. The more aspects that the Jedi needed to make appear real, the more of a drain that the technique had. To hold four was impressive.

Kakashi looked to Jiraiya. "Do you have what you need?" At the Sage's nod, Kakashi barked, "then get the hell off my planet. As far as I am concerned the only Jedi allowed in Konoha and on Shin'o are those Council members of yours. Any others will be… asked to leave." Kakashi strode back the way he came, again as casually as he entered. The Jedi and the sage nodded to each other before leaving the tunnels, and Shin'o all together with a toad assisted poof of smoke.

As the duo of Sage and Jedi left the planet, Kakashi settled back into his office. He looked towards Hiruzen and his trusted advisors. "Accelerate project Wolf and Hound. I am sick of being on the back foot with the Republic. Hiruzen, deal with Danzo. I want to be able to get rid of that thorn before the end of the year. As of now, Konoha is on lockdown from Jedi baring those with current Council credentials, make that known, and advise the Shinobi World Power Council. Also, notify operative Crow that his target is safe to be eliminated and to get home. I need to have a conversation with our benefactor." As the shinobi all darted out of the office, Kakashi turned his chair back around and gazed over his village. Soon… Shinobi won't have to hide anymore.

AN: Howdy! This here is chapter 5 and as you can tell its a bit of a change of pace. Every five chapters will be doing this. We will be seeing the world and its inhabitants from another perspective. This time it was Jiraiya and Quinn. Quinnlan Vas is an interesting Jedi, as is his master. If you know anything about the title, you know that to be true.

We are also gaining a lot of pieces of some puzzles here. Already a slight thinning of the ranks of the Jedi, and some interesting dialogue from Kakashi. What does that Copy-Cat have up his sleeve? I will gladly take guesses. Also, as of now, all updates to this story will occur on Fridays. I should also state that updates may also be less frequent due to me now working a full time job as well.I also received a great question from someone, and I apologize because I don't remember your name in a review about the status of the Shinobi World since Naruto left. This chapter answers some of that, but for further information you can read onward. This is merely a summary of the events, as they are largely unimportant over all to the story.

After Naruto left the planet, Kakashi engaged in heavy personalized training with Hiruzen Sarutobi with the primary goal for him to become the next Hokage. By the time of Naruto's 7th birthday, Kakashi is the Fifth Hokage of the Konoha, is as capable in combat as any Kage alive and is on par with Post-War Kakashi from Canon. He is at this point 19. He engages with the other Kage and villages to create the Shin'o World Power Council. In this council every single shinobi village gets one vote, baring the Great 5 Villages of Iwa, Kumo, Kiri, Suna and Konoha. Each of them receive 2 votes. The SWPC is organized so that the Head Council Member is responsible for meeting agenda and calling the meetings to order. Each Kage is selected based on a 4 year cycle, starting with Iwa. The current head is the Third Mizukage, who thanks to never meeting Obito is in full control and has reformed Kiri. The purpose of the SWPC is to ensure that the Shin'o planet is not overtaken, extorted or utilized for anything that Shin'o people do not agree with.

This process has enabled them to create a planetary government body with which the Galactic Republic would meet, however it is more of a front. The villages work together in the sense that they do not oppose each other anymore, not that they are allies and helping each other. At this point in the timeline.

As far as Canon villains, Obito was killed in combat with Minato. This is due entirely to the fact that Minato did not slack off with his training, and actually engaged the use of the Force slightly to beat him. Kakashi is aware of what happened to his friend, and in fact has Obito's eye in storage should his sharingan require a transplant. This has modified the Akatsuki heavily. Obito is unable to gain a foothold in Kiri, as he does so after the Kyuubi attack on Konoha, therefore Kisame is never swayed. If we look at the mask Obito wears when meeting Nagato, he is wearing Zetsu, not a his flame mask, which means it happens before he is fully bonded with zetsu which means it happens before attacking Konoha. We also know it is after or during the 3rd shinobi world war, which means that it is likely that Yuhiko died around the time that Konoha was attacked. In this, Obito wasn't around to twist Nagato afterward because he died. So the darker version of Akatsuki never really takes off. Nagato is still strong enough to kill Hanzo, however it kills him to do so. Konan is the only survivor of the Ame Orphans and rules Ame. There are still S-rank shinobi out there, such as Sasori, Kakazu, Hidan, Orochimaru, possibly Deidara (who doesn't matter as he will not appear in the story). There is never an Uchiha Coup, as that was cut off in an earlier chapter. Kakashi also has ties to the Uchiha via his Sharingan making him an honorary member.

In regards to Black Zetsu and thus Kaguya, he attempts to manipulate the Uchiha clan, who subsequently kills him. Fugaku, in the Itachi Novels, is stated to be extremely dangerous, to the point that he was named Wicked Eye Fugaku and issued a do not engage order. Fugaku is an S-Rank shinobi and more than capable of killing Black Zetsu. He does so as Zetsu is not in the right headspace to plan the encounter.

Therefore the only real threat left is Orochimaru and Danzo. Both will be explained later in the story. Both will play a role.

Kakashi runs his village much much differently than any other Kage in canon. There is a reason for that. Kakashi runs a tight ship because of the Greater Galaxy. I am certain you readers can figure out why...

The majority of this story does not occur on Shin'o. It is a story about Naruto and it is a story about a Galaxy far far away.
