Author's Note: Once again, I apologize if this case is a bit confusing or hard to follow. I couldn't really get anyone to go over the trial for me, so I'm still a little worried about whether or not it's fully coherent, but I'm still gonna start posting because I'm tired of waiting. Let me know what you think of each part of the trial.
CLASS TRIAL INSESSION
"Ahem! Now then, let's begin with a basic explanation of the class trial! During the trial you'll present your arguments for who the culprit is, and vote for 'whodunnit'. Vote correctly, and only the blackened will be punished. But if you pick the wrong person, I'll punish everyone besides the blackened, and that person will graduate from this academy! Also, refusing to vote will result in your death, so you better vote for someone!" Monokuma gave his usual spiel before he raised his paw into the air excitedly. "Now, smiles everyone! It's showtime! Let's get this crazy-awesome trial underway!"
"I feel like I have to apologize before we start the trial this time around." I said as I looked at everyone. "I didn't do any investigating this time due to…my situation, but still. I'll still do my best regardless though."
"You don't have to apologize. You're a victim in this too." Kaede told me.
"Yeah. It's not your fault someone bashed your brains in." Kokichi added with a little snark.
"Next time, maybe spend less time napping and do a proper investigation, you failed protagonist!" Monokuma then shouted at me.
"I thought you said you didn't want any more back-and-forth between us." I grumbled as I crossed my arms.
"...So who did it?" Himiko muttered as she pulled her hat down with a dark expression. "Who killed Angie?"
"Himiko…" Tenko whispered softly as she looked at her friend with concern.
"Yes. I am curious as well as to who killed Angie and Ryoma, but we cannot be certain that there is only one blackened. There might be two killers."
"True, and we don't even know which one we're looking for." Maki sighed.
"We should begin discussing the case." Shuichi began to say. "First, we need to clarify-"
"Kirumi's the culprit!" Kokichi then yelled over Shuichi.
"Excuse me?" Kirumi asked.
"While we were all still logged in, Kirumi logged out alone, right? You were able to move freely. Doesn't that mean you could've committed the murder?" Kokichi questioned.
"As I told you before, I did no such thing. I am not the culprit." Kirumi responded sternly.
"Kirumi right! Kirumi couldn't have killed Angie and Ryoma!" Gonta said as he came to her defense.
"But the fact that Kirumi was the only one to log out before any of us is still strange, isn't it?" Kaede asked. I put my hand on my chin as I thought about the dilemma. It is suspicious, but she's not the culprit. The others found proof of that.
"Kirumi logged out first by herself. Angie and Ryoma were still logged in though." Kokichi began the debate. "That's when you killed them, right?"
"Kirumi…culprit!? Unpossible!" Gonta shouted.
"Of course it's 'unpossible'! Kirumi didn't do it!" Kaito yelled.
"Yes. I am not the culprit. As I told you, when I woke up, I had no memory of what had happened in the virtual world." Kirumi told Kokichi. "Soon after that, I heard Ryoma's bangle ring out, meaning he had performed his Forbidden Action. With that in mind, I rushed to find something I could use to save Ryoma from the poison that was now in his body."
"But how do we know you're telling the truth?" Kokichi asked. "It's way too convenient for you to just forget what happened while you were in the virtual world. You totally logged out and killed them in the real world!"
"...Is this fun for you, messing with the trial?" Shuichi eventually asked Kokichi.
"Hm? Well, I mean, this is where it gets fun for both me and the culprit." Kokichi replied with an evil, crooked grin before he went back to his 'innocent' smile. "Besides, it's not like I'm wrong or anything."
"You are. You're just toying with us." Shuichi chided. "Kirumi couldn't have killed either Angie or Ryoma. Their bodies don't have any injuries on them."
"Didn't you also say you didn't think Kirumi was lying when she first told us what happened?" Rantaro asked with a raised eyebrow.
"Oh that? That was a lie, obviously. It only makes sense to be suspicious of Kirumi with all that's happened." Kokichi told him. "But that is true. Angie and Ryoma's real bodies don't have any injuries on them, meaning that it's impossible for them to have died from conventional means. So what does that mean? What was the cause of death?"
"There's only one possibility I can think of." I said. "The Killing Game Simulator itself could have been the murder weapon."
"In the virtual world, if your avatar takes fatal damage, your real body dies of shock. That was made clear in the program's text file." Shuichi explained.
"So Angie and Ryoma received fatal damage in the virtual world and died from that shock…" Kaito said as he scratched his head.
"Well, that's how Angie died at least. Ryoma still could have died from the poison that was injected into him by his bangle." Tenko added.
"At least we know Angie's cause of death." Himiko replied softly.
"Still, even if Ryoma's cause of death was the poison, it is still imperative that we figure out what happened in the virtual world." Keebo stated. "What could have caused Ryoma to perform his Forbidden Action, and what caused Angie to receive fatal damage?"
"Okay, before we continue, can I suggest we call the Forbidden Actions 'FA's during the trial?" I suggested. "Calling them by their full name is going to get tiring."
"Hmm…good point." Kaito nodded.
"Either way, we need to start thinking about the events that happened in the virtual world." Rantaro said.
"But Kirumi doesn't remember anything about that." Tenko pointed out.
"I apologize for holding everyone back." Kirumi said as she bowed to us. "If only I didn't forget everything that had happened."
"Don't say that. You don't have to apologize for something like that. It's not like you chose to forget everything." I told her.
"Still, that does make me wonder what caused Kirumi to forget in the first place." Keebo said.
"Yeah. It's definitely strange. Kirumi isn't the kind of person to just forget something." Tenko nodded.
"And with the timing of what happened, I doubt her memory loss was an accident." Rantaro added.
"That's right. Kirumi forgetting the events of the virtual world wasn't an accident at all. I believe something happened to her avatar." Shuichi said in agreement.
"Huh? Really? What are you talking about? What could have happened to Kirumi's avatar to make her forget everything?" Himiko asked.
"Are you talking about that avatar user error Monodam told you about?" Kaede asked.
"That's right." Shuichi nodded. "Kirumi forgot everything because of that error."
"So you're talking to me again, huh?" Kaede asked with a dry chuckle.
"O-Oh. Sorry about that. I…couldn't help that though." Shuichi told her. "I'll explain when I can."
"I already have an idea about that, but fine." Kaede sighed.
"So what is this about an avatar error?" Kirumi asked.
"When we all logged into the virtual world for the first time, one of us experienced an error soon after that. That's what Monodam found out." Rantaro explained.
"So this error was for Kirumi's avatar then? And it made her forget what happened in the virtual world?" I questioned with a raised eyebrow. "I'm not doubting you, but doesn't that sound a little too convenient? A random error occurred and caused only Kirumi to forget what happened in the virtual world? That's too sketchy."
"If there was a glitch, then it should have affected all of us." Kaito nodded as he agreed with what I said. "But since we're all fine, that means there couldn't have been a glitch."
"No. This glitch could only have affected one person. Thinking about it the other way around, if only one person was affected by the glitch, then I believe it must have something to do with the cords we plugged into the helmets to log into the virtual world." Shuichi explained. "The red cord is for consciousness, but the blue one is for memory."
"Memory? Then that means…"
"If you mess up with the cords, there will be an error with 'memory'. Like an error that won't transfer the memories you gain in the virtual world back to your real body?" I finished Keebo's statement.
"Then did Kirumi not plug in cords correctly?" Gonta asked.
"Well-"
"That logic is just fallacy!" Kirumi declared as she made her objection. "I apologize, Shuichi, but I cannot let this slide."
"Huh? What do you mean?" Shuichi asked after he recovered from being cut off.
"Do you take me for a fool? This is no time for foolish games!" She told him sternly as she began her rebuttal. "You believe that my memory loss was caused by misplacing the consciousness and memory cords in the helmet? While I do suppose that is a possible cause of an avatar error, it is impossible for that to be the reason for my memory loss. You overlook a simple fact, and now you are trying to convince everyone that your theory is the truth. That is nothing but deception on everyone and even yourself!"
"You think I'm mistaken and misleading everyone? Why do you think that? You admitted yourself that what I said was plausible, yes?"
"It is not the plausibility of the cords being a cause of an avatar user error that I am rebuking. It is the fact that you believe that such a simple mistake occurred with me. The instructions Monokuma gave us were quite clear. No one could have mistakenly switched the cords together unless they could not tell left from right. I am quite insulted that you believe I could honestly have done such a silly thing!"
"I'll cut through your words!" Shuichi declared as he began to actually cut down her argument. "No. It's still possible for the cords to be the cause of the avatar user error, even if you weren't the one to switch them up. All that would be needed for it to occur is to have someone else do the swap after you had already logged in."
"Swapped the cords after I already logged in…?" Kirumi repeated with a shocked expression.
"Wait, wouldn't that be super dangerous to mess with someone's cords after they had logged in already!?" Kaede shouted in a panic.
"Would it really matter to the culprit?" Maki asked. "They wanted to kill someone, so why would they care if someone got hurt."
"For someone to do that…they must have been desperate." Kaito grimaced.
"Still, that bold move on the culprit's part gave them a significant edge. After all, it makes Kirumi the perfect scapegoat." Kokichi pointed out. "After all, from Rin's testimony, it seems as though he was the initial target."
"Rin?" Tenko asked.
"Kirumi suddenly disappeared when it was just the two of them together, and then Rin got attacked… If Rin died right then and there, Kirumi would look super suspicious. And if her only explanation as to what happened was that she couldn't remember…"
"We would have believed she was the culprit, and it would have been next to impossible for Kirumi to have made a decent argument to prove she was innocent." Kaito mumbled as he shook his head. "So that's why they did that."
"So I was merely a pawn in the culprit's plan then." Kirumi frowned. "That is…upsetting to think about."
"How awful! Whoever was the despicable cretin who did this to Kirumi is going to pay!" Tenko shouted.
"Man, it's been a while since I've heard Tenko go on a rant like this." I mumbled with a slight sense of nostalgia.
"Shuichi, please forgive me for raising my voice at you. I apologize." Kirumi told the detective, who only shook his head with a smile.
"It's fine, Kirumi. Don't worry about it." He told her.
"But how Kirumi log out when she was in forest?" Gonta asked. "You no can logout without going to the mansion."
"That's what we were told by Monokuma anyway." Kokichi said. "Plus, I told you already, right? I stayed in the salon and didn't see anyone come by trying to logout."
"There was still a way to log Kirumi out of the virtual world. A way that was only accessible to the culprit. If the culprit used the cell phone that we found at the scene, it's possible to log Kirumi out from the forest without her consent." Shuichi explained.
"Kokichi proved that already, right?" Kaede asked.
"That's right. He was the one who found the cell phone, and he logged Rin out with it." Himiko nodded.
"So Kokichi was the one who logged me out?" I asked as I looked at the boy in question.
"Nee-heehee… I was just curious as to what a cell phone like that could do when the phone in the salon was supposed to be our only way to log out, and since you were lying face down in the snow, I figured you didn't care whether I tested it on you." Kokichi told me with a childish smile.
"True…I didn't really care at that time." I gave a dry chuckle before I put a hand on my chin. A cell phone, huh? I don't recall seeing that anywhere when we first entered the virtual world. Where could that have been, and who picked it up? How did they know about it and how it worked? Could it really be because of that deal Monokuma made with someone? I shook my head as I pushed the thought away for now. I'd rather not think about that possibility right now.
"With that cell phone, the culprit could force anyone to log out at any time." Keebo noted.
"But Monokuma never mentioned anything about a cell phone." Maki grumbled.
"That's what Shuichi referred to when he mentioned a method only the culprit could use." Kokichi stated. "The culprit must have already known that there was a cell phone in the virtual world, meaning that they were the only one who could use it for their murder plan. Of course, I already knew that from the start."
"Then why did you say Kirumi was the culprit?" Kaito asked him with a narrow glare.
"Eeh…" Kokichi shrugged innocently. "Why not?"
"Wh-? 'Why not'!?" Kaede yelled.
"You're the worst of the worst! You're the most degenerate of degenerates!" Tenko shouted at Kokichi.
"Wow, that's harsh." Kokichi smirked. "But because I brought suspicion to Kirumi, we were able to prove her innocence, right? Now we can focus on what happened in the virtual world without worrying about what might have happened in the real world, since now we know Kirumi is 100% trustworthy."
"He's…got a point, actually." Rantaro said as he tilted his head in both awe and amusement.
"Kokichi's logic on getting to this point is beyond anything I can calculate or comprehend…" Keebo groaned as he nearly threw his arms up in exasperation.
"Of course I'm way too complicated for a stupid robot like you! It's like when we first met! Only Rinny can understand my way of thinking, as expected of a loyal goon of mine." Kokichi told Keebo as he shot me a proud look.
"Uh… Sorry to break it to you, Kokichi, but I don't think I understand half the things you do anymore." I told him with a nervous chuckle.
"Aww… That's a shame." Kokichi pouted as he looked at the ground with an expression of complete dejection.
"Kokichi really is confusing at times." Kaede mumbled as she scratched her cheek nervously.
"Going back on topic, we should discuss the events that happened in the virtual world now." Maki told us.
"Actually, could we talk about one more thing before that?" Kokichi asked as he put his hands around his head.
"Huh? What else could there be to talk about other than what happened in the virtual world?" Tenko asked.
"Our Forbidden Actions, of course." Kokichi said. "Oh, I mean our FAs. Wow, that is easier to say."
"What about them?" Gonta asked.
"Weeeeeell, wouldn't it be better for us to share what all our FAs were now that we can without worrying about possible risks?" Kokichi asked. "That way, we'll know exactly what everyone could and couldn't do."
"That is a good idea. While we can't fully determine the FAs of Angie or Ryoma, the least we could do at the moment is confirm what ours were." Keebo nodded.
"I'm fine with that. But how should we start this?" I asked. "There's 12 of us, after all."
"Shumai should go first!" Kokichi declared as he pointed to the detective. "He just hinted at what it was, after all. After he's done, we can go clockwise to determine who shares next."
"Shouldn't the person who brought up this topic be the first to share?" Himiko grumbled.
"No, it's fine. I want to explain it anyway, so it might as well be now." Shuichi said. "My FA prevented me from talking to either Kaede or Kaito."
"Both of us?" Kaede gasped.
"So that's why you kept ignoring the two of us." Kaito said as he rubbed the back of his neck. "Sorry, dude. I probably made that harder for you than it had to be."
"No, I'm sorry I couldn't tell you anything. It probably hurt you for me to just ignore you guys so suddenly with no explanation." Shuichi told him.
"Don't worry about it. There wasn't anything you could have done." Kaede told him with a soft smile.
"Well, I guess I'm next." Kaito said as he pointed a thumb at himself. "I wasn't allowed to open any doors."
"Wait, really?" I asked as I turned to him. "Actually…now that I think about it… Yeah, I haven't seen you opening any doors since we got those bangles."
"Was any one actually paying any attention if he really wasn't opening doors, though? That's a very little thing to notice unless we accidentally close the door on him." Rantaro commented.
"Wait, if you couldn't open any door, how did you get back to your dorm room last night? And how did you get out?" Himiko asked.
"Oh that? Well…I had to ask one of my sidekicks to stick by me to help me out, of course." Kaito explained.
"Uh…I have a good idea of who you asked, but…"
"It was me." Maki answered Kaede's question. "Really, I thought it was a strange request. I knew you were an idiot, but it was asinine for you to ask me to open your door to let you in your room and to open it to let you out the next morning. You even gave me your dorm key to do it. I thought you were insane."
"Geez, that wasn't very nice, Maki Roll."
"Don't call me that." Maki pouted as she held her hair with puffy cheeks.
"Maki's right. That was insane. Seriously, who gives an assassin a key to their room, especially in a killing game like this." Kokichi said with a disappointed look aimed at the astronaut. It was like he was telling Kaito 'I can't believe you're really that much of an idiot' without even saying it, and it was clear to everyone.
"Hey! I trust my sidekicks! They would never do anything shady!" Kaito responded with a big smile of confidence.
"What it must be like to be you, or to even have that boundless confidence." I mused with a chuckle. "So I'm next in this little sharing circle, right? Well, before I share, I just want to tell you guys to not freak out. We only had these FAs for a little over a day, after all."
"With a start like that, I'm not sure I'm going to like whatever you're going to say." Kaede said with a pointed glare.
"Well, I didn't choose what my FA was, so please stop glaring at me." I said defensively before taking a deep breath. "So my FA was that I couldn't fall asleep."
"Wh-What?!" Nearly everyone yelled at that, including Kirumi, which surprised me a little. The only people who didn't give a shout were Kokichi, who probably already knew (because of course), and Rantaro, who also already knew.
"Well, I guess Angie and Ryoma dying are a blessing in disguise for you. If they didn't die, you would have gone who knows how long before accidentally falling asleep and dying yourself." Kokichi noted.
"A-Are you okay? I mean, even before the FAs, you didn't really seem like you were getting enough rest, so this couldn't have been good for you at all!" Kaede exclaimed with a worried look.
"It's fine. As I said, I'm a pro at pulling all-nighters." I told her. I shivered at the memory in question. "So many all-nighters…" I groaned softly and quietly before shaking my head. "But don't worry about that. The FAs are gone now, and the first thing I'm doing after this trial is getting some proper rest. I feel exhausted from all this action."
"Wait, how did you not break your FA when you were knocked out? Wouldn't that be counted as sleeping?" Tenko asked.
"That is strange." Gonta commented with a confused look.
"Well Monokuma?" I asked with crossed arms.
"What am I? Your guys' personal exiclopidia and rule book?" Monokuma groaned. "Well, it can't be helped. It's only natural clueless students would want to consult their headmaster for advice and help."
"Pretty sure none of us see you as our 'headmaster'." Maki growled.
"So, about your question, Mister Wakuri's Forbidden Action was falling asleep, but before the trial, he wasn't asleep technically. Technically, he was knocked out. Rendered unconscious. So that's why his bangle didn't prick him with the poison needle, though perhaps it should have."
"Geez, you seem a lot more pissed off at me than usual." I asked him. "What did I ever do to you?"
"Oh, y'know. The usual. You delayed the story now by God knows how many chapters, threw off the story from the original outline into whatever the hell this has become, and rendered a full motive completely inert…" Monokuma hissed before showing a wide smile. "But while you're absolutely in-fucking-furating, at the same time, it's sooooo exciting! I haven't been this invested in a killing game in years! It's like the good ol' days again! It's so good to feel young!"
"What are you, bipolar?" Himiko asked the bear.
"Ignore him. He's just spouting nonsense again." Maki sighed.
"That's all he ever seems to do…" Shuichi added.
"Kirumi, you are next. What was your FA?" Keebo asked.
"I was not allowed to serve others." Kirumi answered.
"Not serve others? Like cooking or cleaning for them?" Kaede asked.
"So that's why you wouldn't clean my room for me. I thought you just didn't like me." Kokichi laughed.
"I would never decline a request from you all normally, but I had no choice." Kirumi said before showing a small smile. "On the bright side, I was able to take a small, but needed break. I thought I would be unable to calm my nerves initially, but I ended up enjoying it." I turned to Kirumi when she said that, wondering what she meant before realizing she spent most of today with me. I gave a soft, embarrassed chuckle as I looked down and rubbed my neck sheepishly. I guess I helped her in more than one way.
"Well Maki Roll, it's your turn." Kaito then said, getting a sigh out of the girl.
"It was getting hit." She stated plainly.
"Really? That's it?" Rantaro asked.
"That's quite the FA. It's as bad as Rin's." Shuichi noted with a bit of surprise.
"However, when paired with someone like the Ultimate Assassin…" Keebo began.
"It's hard to think she was ever in danger." Tenko finished with a nervous smile.
"Was Maki worried?" Gonta asked the girl, causing her to shrug.
"Not really. I wasn't going to pick a fight with anyone, and it wasn't like anyone was going to do the same with me." She replied in a frank voice.
"That's true. Someone would have to be as dumb as Kaito or Gonta to try to fight the Ultimate Assassin!" Kokichi nodded.
"Don't call me or Gonta an idiot! C'mon!" Kaito yelled once again. That's starting to become his new catchphrase…
"Next is me." Rantaro said. "Well, I guess you could say my FA was using my Monopad." I held the urge to laugh at his explanation. Yeah, what he gave me was just a normal Monopad. Certainly not a special item or perk of any kind.
"Just that?" Himiko asked.
"The way you said that makes it seem there's more to your FA than just that." Keebo noted.
"Well…" Rantaro began as he rubbed the back of his head with a sheepish smile. "I guess I never really gave it much thought since I removed the threat of me performing the FA fairly quickly."
"What do you mean?" Gonta asked.
"He actually gave me his Monopad for safekeeping." I explained. "If I had his Monopad, he wouldn't be in danger of accidentally using it out of habit."
"That was smart of Avataro. As expected." Kokichi commented, getting more chuckles out of Rantaro.
"It was nothing, really. My FA wasn't really an issue. It was more annoying not having my Monopad than anything else." Rantaro said. That's an understatement. I probably would have been fairly upset with that FA if the Survivor's Perk was mine.
"Gonta next. Gonta not allowed to put food in mouth."
"So that is the reason why you didn't eat breakfast today." Kaito said.
"I'm pretty sure we all could tell that was the reason for that." I mumbled quietly while fiddling with my hair. "Moving on…Kaede, what was your FA?"
"About that…it's a little silly." Kaede gave a small chuckle. "I couldn't run in the halls."
"What kind of hall monitor FA is that?" Tenko exclaimed with a 'really?' expression. In fact, most of us had that same look of 'are you kidding me'.
"But wasn't she running around on the roof of the mansion when we were in the virtual world?" Himiko asked.
"But that roof, not hallway. Probably not count." Gonta suggested, which made sense, but…
"What kind of FA is that?" I asked, a bit annoyed I couldn't have gotten something like that for mine. Sure, no running in the halls for Kaede and no sleep for me. Seems fair. Damn that bear.
"Well, it seems ridiculous, but if Kaede was being chased by a killer, it would have been bad for her, especially if she was inside the academy." Shuichi mentioned with a bit of a grimace as he thought about the possibility.
"Yeah, that definitely wouldn't have been fun." Kaede gave a dry laugh in response. "Next is Himiko."
"Oh, well…" Himiko began. "I couldn't use my talent."
"Oh, so you couldn't do any magic tricks." Shuichi said.
"No. I couldn't do any magic." Himiko corrected him while pulling her hat down.
"...Right." Shuichi replied with a nervous smile as sweat formed on the side of his head.
"Now it's my turn!" Kokichi proudly stated as he raised his hand into the air excitedly.
"It was real sneaky of you, making it so you're one of the last people to share." Kaito gave a snarky reply before Kokichi began.
"Well, aren't you all curious as to what my FA could be? Any guesses?" Kokichi asked, getting only inpatient silence. "No? Really? Well that's boring. If that's the case, maybe I won't tell you."
"Oh for the love of- Just tell us!" I shouted.
"Okay! Anything for you, Rinny!" Kokichi gave me a sweet, childish smile in response, making me sigh and pinch the bridge of my nose. "My FA…was that I couldn't answer any question with a lie."
"Wait, what?" I asked, now with wide eyes.
"Are you serious, Kokichi?" Shuichi asked him.
"Yeppers! I'm not lying this time." Kokichi responded. He then gave a sly smile. "Or is that a lie?"
"Well, if we think about it logically, Kokichi has no reason to lie about this." Rantaro said.
"Yeah. He was the one who said we should share our FAs in the first place." Keebo nodded. "If he was the culprit and wished to hide his FA, he would have simply not brought it up. We were not planning on discussing it until he mentioned them, after all."
"So Kokichi couldn't answer any question with a lie." I mused. "So that means that his testimony can't be a lie."
"That's right. After all, that was his answer to a question." Shuichi nodded.
"Well, that's one good thing to come out of this." Kaede sighed. "What about you, Tenko?"
"H-Huh?"
"Your FA. What was it?"
"Oh, was Tenko not paying attention? That's not like you." Kokichi teased the girl who was beside him.
"N-Never mind you! I was just thinking!" Tenko shouted. "My FA…ugh, just thinking about what it was is giving me shivers."
"What was it?" Kirumi asked.
"I couldn't say anything bad about males! Ugh!" Tenko proclaimed before violently shivering at the memory of it.
"So that's why we're only hearing your rants now." I said while placing my fist in my palm with a 'I got it' motion.
"That's also why you would stop yourself from calling us 'degenerates' or even 'wusses'." Rantaro gave a light laugh at that.
"Yeah, and it was awful!" Tenko shouted.
"It seems I'm the last one." Keebo said. "My FA was touching any wall."
"Wow, what a boring FA. It suits a boring robot like you." Kokichi sighed.
"Hey! It was a very dangerous FA! If anyone pushed me into a wall, it would have killed me!" Keebo shouted.
"Yeah…but Kokichi has a point." Himiko commented.
"You too?!" Keebo exclaimed.
"So that's all of our FAs, huh." Kaede said.
"Yeah, but Gonta wonder…what Angie and Ryoma's FAs were." Gonta said.
"That is a good question. Those FAs are probably the most important ones right now." I stated. "Obviously, we need to know Ryoma's so we know why he got poisoned, but perhaps Angie's has something to do with this case as well if the culprit stole it along with Ryoma's."
"Well, I'm sure we'll figure that out once we begin discussing more about the case and what happened in the virtual world." Kaito told me.
"Then let us begin that discussion, now that we are finished speaking about the FAs." Kirumi said.
"Well, since Kirumi can't remember anything, we should quickly review what happened." Rantaro said. Everyone nodded at that, and we began to discuss more about what happened in the virtual world. We might have gotten a little off topic with the FAs, but I'm sure it'll be important later. The FAs dictated what we could and couldn't do, and they were the motive given to us this time around. Not to mention, I don't know why, but I'm starting to get a bad feeling about this case. But still, even with this feeling of unease in my chest, that didn't stop the trial from continuing on.
