"Mom, is this what I think it is?" "Yes. It's your passcode to Chaotic." "Welcome, Majorina, to Chaotic." "Sukoval attacks Aivenna!" "Guess I should've warned you, but just because you're my favorite niece, doesn't mean I'm gonna go easy on you." "Torrent of Flame!" 'This is not good! If she crashes into me, I'm doomed!'

Chapter 2: A New Player's Start Pt 2

Aivenna's Windstrider was still on crash course with Sukoval. Sidney looked around, trying to find an escape route. She eyed a sewer drain behind her and slid through the bars before Jycella crashed.

The people watching the match started to gasp and murmur. "That was close. I hope Sid's okay." Sarah said. "Me too. But she'll know what to do. I hope." Tom said. The goth girl continued to watch the match. 'This Majorina may be a worthy opponent. If she wins this match.' She thought.

Aivenna stood up, holding her head. "Clever move. But how could Sukoval use a fire attack like Torrent of Flame?" She asked. Suddenly, the ground began to freeze. Then, Sukoval burst from out of the ground, sending Aivenna flying to the ground. "Torrent of Flame's not just a fire attack, Aunt Jycella. It's also a water attack." Sidney said. "Clever. You really know your attacks. But so, do I. Windslash!" Jycella shouted, firing a Windslash from her hand. Sidney jumped, dodging the attack. Aivenna looked around, trying to find her. "Up here, Auntie!" Sidney called. Jycella looked up. Sukoval was on a roof. "Song of Stasis!" She called. One of Sukoval's Mugicians activated Sidney's only Mugic. The Mugic started playing in tune as it activated. A beam of light hit Aivenna and froze her in place. "Now for the final blow. Sludge Gush!" Sidney fired a stream of sludge from her hands and hit Aivenna, bursting her into code.

"The winner: Majorina." The Drome Master announced. As Sukoval and Jycella were transported back to the Drome. Tom and Sarah cheered at the food court. "Yes! Sidney won!" Sarah cried. "I knew she could do it." Tom said, hugging his wife. The goth girl looked on, showing a small smile. 'Nice.' She thought. Sidney transformed back as she cheered. "Nicely done. You just might have what it takes to become a great Chaotic player just like your parents." Jycella said. "Thanks, Aunt Jycella." Sidney hugged her aunt. "And thanks for a great match." "No problem, Sid. It's the least I could do. Especially for my favorite niece." Jycella said.

(Intro)

Sidney sat with her parents and aunt at their table at the Port Court, celebrating her first victory. "Here's to you, Sid. Your first victory in Chaotic." Tom said, raising his drink. "Thanks, Daddy." Sidney said, clinking her drink with her parents and aunt's drinks. "You're a genius with those moves." Tom stated. "Your father's right." Sarah agreed. "Bringing down Aivenna's Wind Strider with Torrent of Flame and paralyzing her with the Song of Stasis? Now that was a brilliant strategy." "They're right there. I doubt even your uncle Kaz could come up with that move with his UnderWorlders." Jycella said. "Well, I don't know about that, Aunt Jycella. Uncle Kaz is pretty clever with his UnderWorlders. I remember him telling me the story of him and the ChaotiKings." Sidney said. "Oh yeah. I forgot about that one." Jycella said, laughing along with Tom, Sarah and Sidney.

"Excuse me." A voice said. They all turned to see the goth girl. "You're Majorina, right?" She asked. "Uh, yes." Sidney said, getting up. She held up her hand. "My name's Sidney. Sidney Majors." The goth shook her hand. "Minnie. Minnie Duff." She said. "I saw that girl sitting behind us while watching Sid's match." Tom whispered to Sarah. "I watched your match. You've got some interesting skills." Minnie said. "Thanks." Sidney said. "I wish to test you myself in a Beta Drome match sometime." Minnie offered. "Anytime anywhere, if that's okay with you." Sidney said. "That's good with me. I'll send you a challenge whenever I can. See ya 'round." Minnie said, walking away. Sidney looked on. "I think I may have just weirdly made a first friend." She said. Tom walked over and put a hand on her shoulder. "Not a bad one though." He said. Sidney smiled. "Hey, come with me. I've got someone I want you to meet." Tom said, walking over to the porting station with Sarah. Sidney raised her eyebrow, but followed anyway.

Once they got to the porting station, Tom stepped on one of the spots and pulled out his scanner. "Okay, you remember what I've told you about porting, right?" He asked. "Yeah, some of it." Sidney answered. "Well, get out your scanner and I'll review everything." Tom said. Sidney got her scanner out. "Okay. Now, if you have a location scan of Kiru City, type it in." Tom said. Sidney went through her current Locations until she found Kiru City. "Got it." She said. "Okay. Now press your center button and I'll see you later." Tom said, porting away. "It'll be okay, sweetheart." Sarah said, doing the same. Sidney felt unsure, but did as her father said, pushed the button and ported away.

When Sidney ported back, she looked around. "Mom? Dad?" She called. She looked until she saw a large city in front of her. She gasped at the sight. "Ki-, Ki- Ki-, Kiru City!" She said. "That's right." Tom said, appearing behind her with Sarah. "Home of my friend, OverWorld leader, Maxxor." He said. Sarah looked on with wide eyes.

Tom and Sarah led Sidney through the city, passing by many Creatures. "Hey, Tom! Welcome back!" The OverWorlder Owis called. "Hey Owis!" Tom called back. "Tommy! Whassup my brotha!" The Mipedian Saand said. "Good to see you too, Saand." Tom said, giving Saand a fist bump. "Wow, Dad. You're really famous here." Sidney said, noticing the Creatures greeting Tom. "Of course, he is. Your father's quite the hero here in Kiru City." Sarah said. "Indeed." A voice said, making them jump. There in front of them stood Bodal, keeper of the Kiru City Arsenal. "Bodal! We've talked about you doing that!" Tom said, upset with Bodal's surprises. "I know, but it's fun for me." Bodal said, snickering. "This is Bodal?" Sidney asked. Tom nodded. "I thought he'd be shorter." Sidney joked. Bodal was not amused. "Maxxor heard that you've returned and wants to see you." He said. "Okay. Great. Lead the way then." Tom said. Bodal walked towards the castle with Tom, Sarah and Sidney following him.

Bodal led the Majors family through Maxxor's castle until they came to the conference room. They entered as Maxxor just finished a conference with the fellow tribe leaders. Prince Mudeenu, second heir of the Mipedians. Takinom, leader of the UnderWorlders. Odu-Bathax, head general of the Danians. And Smildon, leader of the Tribless creatures from Prexxor Chasm. "Lord Maxxor. I have brought our visitors." Bodal said. Everyone turned to see Tom and his family. "Tom! Welcome back old friend." Maxxor said, walking over. "It's good to see you again, Maxxor." Tom said, shaking Maxxor's hand. "You remember my wife, Sarah?" "Ah yes. The Danian girl. Good to see you." Maxxor said, shaking Sarah's hand. "You too, Maxxor." Sarah said. Maxxor noticed Sidney hiding behind Tom. "And who is this?" He asked. "Maxxor, this is Sidney. She's Sarah and my daughter." Tom introduced, bringing Sidney into view. Gasps and mutters were exchanged in between the leaders. Maxxor had heard that Tom had a daughter. This is the daughter of his most loyal friend. "It- It's an- honor to m- meet you, M- Maxxor." Sidney stuttered, bowing to the leader. Maxxor smiled in amusement. "It's alright, child. You do not need to bow to me." He said. Sidney looked up, smiled and straightened herself. She looked over to the other leaders. "Why don't you go acquaint yourself with the leaders? I want to catch up on things with your parents." Maxxor suggested, walking over to Tom and Sarah.

Sidney walked over to the other leaders. "Hi. I'm Sidney Majors." She said. "Prince Mudeenu. Heir to the Mipedian throne. At your service." Mudeenu said, shaking Sidney's hand. "I am Odu-Bathax. Leading general of the great Danian army." Odu-Bathax said, doing the same. "I'm Smildon of Prexxor Chasm." Smildon said. "I know. Dad's told me about you." Sidney said, shaking Smildon's paw. "I am Takinom. Leader of the UnderWorlders." Takinom said. That made Sidney raise her eyebrow as they shook hands. "I thought Chaor was the leader of the UnderWorlders." She said. "Was. I took over leadership after your father's speech at Tangath Toborn's funeral." Takinom explained. "She's right. After Maxxor gave his fallen friend a final farewell, your father gave a speech on how Tangath's hard work and sacrifice brought us all together." Odu-Bathax explained. "Of course, Chaor refused to listen otherwise, but the UnderWorlders rebelled against him. And he hasn't been seen since." Mudeenu said. "But mostly, thanks to your father, the Tribal Alliance was reborn. For good this time. Plus, he had Maxxor send Dractyl to have me join the Alliance Council." Smildon said. Sidney put some thought into all of this. 'Dad never told me about this.' She thought.

"Hey, Sid!" Tom called. Sidney turned to look at him. "Maxxor's got someone he wants you to meet." He said. Sidney turned back to the other leaders. "Thank you for your time." She said. "Of course." Mudeenu said. "It was a pleasure to meet you, young Majors." Smildon said. "I'll look forward to seeing you again, Sidney." Takinom said. "As you were, Lady Sidney." Odu-Bathax saluted. Sidney nodded and walked back to her parents and Maxxor. "So, where are we going?" She asked. "To meet with my wife in my chambers. She's got a big surprise for you." Maxxor said, walking out. Sidney raised her eyebrow, but followed anyway.

Maxxor lead them to his main chambers. Inside, waited a familiar feline woman. "Intress!" Tom said. He walked over and hugged her. "Hello Tom. It's so good to see you." Intress said, hugging back. "Intress, meet Tom's daughter, Sidney. She's new in Chaotic." Maxxor said. Intress broke her hug with Tom and looked closely at Sidney. "So, you're Tom's daughter?" She asked. Sidney nodded. "I've heard about you. Maxxor and I have a little surprise for you." Intress turned to a door in a corner. "Verlina! You can come out now!" She called. As if on cue, a green-skinned girl around Sidney's age with Intress' stripes and hair, wearing a fur dress walked in. "Whoa! Maxxor, is this-" Tom asked. "Yes Tom. This is Verlina. My daughter." Maxxor revealed. Sidney gasped. 'Maxxor and Intress have a daughter?!' She thought in shock. "Hi Uncle Tom." Verlina greeted. Sidney's eyes widened even wider. "Uncle?" She asked. "Yeah, I'm her uncle. Last time I saw her, she was barely walking and scratching up everything with her claws." Tom explained. "We were all there when Verlina was born. It was just as beautiful as their wedding day." Sarah said. "Yeah. Maxxor and I love to relive that very day when we said our 'I dos'. It makes me cry every time." Intress said, shedding a small tear. Maxxor brought her into a side-hug for comfort.

Sidney walked up to Verlina. "Hi." Sidney said. "Hi yourself." Verlina said. "I'm Sidney, Tom and Sarah's daughter." Sidney introduced. "Verlina, Maxxor and Intress's daughter." Verlina said. They 2 shook hands. "I love your hair." Sidney complimented. "Thanks. I like your hoodie." Verlina said. "Aw. You're too kind." Sidney said, but then decided to ask. "So, why did our fathers want us to meet?" "Well, I think my father wants you to scan me." Verlina thought. "What?!" Sidney asked in shock. "That's right. I talked it over with Maxxor." Tom said. "We agreed that when Verlina became of scanning age, you would be the first to scan her when you first came to Perim." Maxxor added. Sidney looked at Verlina with her jaw dropping. "I am ready to be scanned. I trust you, Sidney Majors. I guarantee that I will be both a great help and addition to your deck." Verlina said. "Okay then. Let's try it." Sidney said, taking out her scanner. She pointed it at Verlina and pressed the center button, scanning Verlina's body. Code started spreading across the scanner's screen, and a second later, Verlina's picture and stats filled into place. "Thanks." She said. "No problem. It's what I do for my friends." Verlina said. Sidney eyes went wide. "You consider me your friend?" She asked. "Sure. You're special. Just like your father." Verlina said. Sidney smiled and hugged Verlina. "Thank you." She said. Verlina just smiled and hugged back. The parents looked on with big smiles.

Back in Chaotic, Sidney looked over her scan of Verlina. "So awesome. Verlina's got amazing stats. Able to do water and earth attacks. Has 1 Mugician. She should make for some interesting matches." She said. "So, you ready to head on back home, Sid?" Tom asked. "Yep. I had enough for today." Sidney answered. They walked back to the transport center and ported back to Earth.

Sidney was just sitting in her room, writing notes in her notebook. Suddenly, her scanner started beeping. She picked it up and pushed the button. The scanner transferred her memories to her mind. "Wow!" She said when it stopped. "This is gonna be epic! I just know it!"
