"So are you excited for your date tonight?" Quinn asked, while she was putting away laundry. Santana was laying on Quinn's bed just watching her best friend. "To be honest, I am kinda nervous," she said, biting her lip. Quinn stared back at her and started laughing, "You are nervous! Am I hearing this correctly" she said. "Shut up Q and yes I can be nervous, It's been awhile." Santana admitted. "When was the last time you went on a proper date?" Quinn asked. "I don't even know, that's how long it's been," Santana replied. "The entire time you were dating Bash I can't even remember a time where he took you out like this. I also can't remember him ever making you nervous like this either'' Quinn said smiling.
Santana looked over at her friend, "That's because he never did. The whole time we were dating I think he took me out to a nice restaurant once. I don't even think it counts because we met my parents there. Sebastian spent the entire time talking to my dad about their upcoming surgical schedule." she explained. "S, why did you stay with him so long?" Quinn asked. "My parents loved him. Remember how they were really pissed when I went to law school?" she asked. Quinn nodded, signaling for her to continue. "When my dad finally started to talk to me again, he said he would keep me in the will if I went on a date with his resident. I was desperate to get my family back so I agreed. At first it was fine, he was nice and attractive but then he just became an asshole. He never thought my work was as important as his. I remember this one time I got a call from detectives asking me to come in as soon as possible. So I told Bash I needed to leave some fancy dinner and he got so mad at me. He had the audacity to call my father who then screamed at me for 45 minutes. That's when I realized I just couldn't do it anymore." Santana said.
"I swear your parents are the only people who aren't proud that their daughter is a kickass lawyer in New York City'' Quinn said with a chuckle. "All mami wanted was for me to become a housewife with a shit ton of kids and a rich husband. She basically wanted me to become her'' She said. "Well I am proud of you for what it's worth" Quinn said grinning. "Thanks Q" San replied smiling.
"What time did Brett say you had to be ready for?" Quinn asked, folding the last of her shirts. "He said to be ready by 6, which gives me like 2 hours," San replied. "What are you thinking of wearing?" she asked. "He said it was dinner but gave me no other clues. Then we are meeting you guys at that bar later so I am completely stumped" Santana groaned. "Pick out a few things and show me then I'll let you know which one is best" Quinn said. San cocked her eyebrow, then it clicked. "You know where we are going don't you?!" she asked. "Of course I know, you are going out with my brother, remember?" Quinn said laughing. Santana quickly sat up, "Q! You need to tell me!" she begged. "My lips are sealed" Quinn said, pretending to lock her lips with a key and throw it away.
Santana groaned and fell back onto the bed.
Santana spent the next hour showering and shaving, getting everything ready for tonight. She wanted tonight to be perfect. She decided to keep her hair up in a nice slick back ponytail. Santana knew that since she was nervous, that means she will play with her hair. In order to not do that all night, she decided to put it up. Going completely opposite of her usual make up, Santana decided to keep it subtle. Gold eyeshadow and highlighter with a nice nude lip, it really accented her caramel skin perfectly. Now all she needed was an outfit.
"Quinn! Get in here!" she yelled, pulling options out of her closet. Quinn walked in still not dressed and took a seat on the latina's bed. "Awwww San you look so nice" She said, smiling. "Thank you but I am freaking out! I have nothing to wear!" San groaned. "Put on that one" Quinn said, pointing to the closet. Santana pulled on the gold dress and spun for Quinn. "Nope, try a different one" Quinn said, very quickly. San pulled it off and replaced it with a black cocktail dress. "Absolutely not" Quinn said laughing. "What is wrong with this one?" she asked, looking offended. "Your boobs are like falling out of the dress. That is something you would wear to a club not on a first date" Quinn explained. Santana rolled her eyes and replaced the dress with a jumpsuit.
"I love that!" Quinn exclaimed. "Isn't it so cute?" San said, smiling. "Yes! But not for tonight" She replied. Santana let her smile drop, "You are so picky, why don't you come and look and i'll sit on my ass." she said, pulling Quinn up. "I am so borrowing that jumpsuit" Quinn replied, looking through her best friend's closet. "You can borrow it after I wear it first," San said, laughing. "OMG, this is it" Quinn said, very excited. She pulled the white dress from the back of the closet. It was still wrapped in the garment bag that the cashier put it in when Santana bought it.
"I forgot I even bought that dress! It was for some dinner with Sebastian that I ended up not going to" she said jumping up. Santana pulled off the jumpsuit before pulling on the dress. "So" Santana asked spinning. "Absolutely perfect, that's it San" Quinn exclaimed, taking in the sight in front of her. The latina was wearing a knee length, skin tight white frock dress. It showed enough of her chest to show it off but was still extremely classy. "Wear these!" Quinn said, pulling a pair of white and beige stilettos out of the closet. Santana quickly put them on and looked at herself in the full length mirror. "I need a jacket," San said, turning back to her friend. Quinn smiled and left the room. She came back a moment later with a helmut lang light wash denim jacket. Quinn gave it to her, "This way when you show up at the bar later, you look more casual" she explained. Santana pulled it on. "You look like an angel" Quinn whispered. "Usually I hear devil, it's a nice change," Santana said, smiling. "Thanks Q" she said, pulling her best friend in for a hug.
(If you look up "naya rivera white frock"- you'll see the outfit i'm describing)
While Quinn went into the living room, Santana quickly pulled the dress off. She didn't want Quinn seeing her put lingerie on under her dress. It would be obvious what she wanted at the end of the night but Quinn did not need to know that. After pulling on the matching 2 piece white lace set, Santana pulled the dress back on. Perfect, absolutely perfect.
"Is Brett ever going to come home and get ready?" Santana asked, looking at the time. It was getting closer and closer to their date and he still wasn't home. "He didn't tell you?" Quinn said with a smirk. "Tell me what?" she asked, packing her black designer bag. "He went and got ready at Puck's because he wanted to pick you up. Brett didn't want to see you before the date" Quinn explained. Santana let her mouth hang open, "That is so adorable" she exclaimed. "He said that he wanted to do this properly, I guess he forgot to tell you" Quinn said, giggling.
"Quinn, he is pulling out all these stops and I am freaking out," Santana said, sitting on the couch. "Don't worry, so is he" she replied. Santana stared at her best friend, "How do you know?" she asked. "Puck called me. Him and Mike have been helping Brett pick out an outfit for the last 30 minutes" Quinn said laughing. "Are you serious?" San laughed. "Yup looks like he is smitten" she replied.
"I just wanted to say that I am sorry again for how all this blew up" Santana said, turning this into a more serious conversation. "Me too, San." Quinn said. "No more letting guys come between us" San said, laughing. "Never again, just remember if you hurt him I will hurt you" Quinn said with a chuckle. Santana just shook her head laughing. Before she could reply there was a knock at the door. Santana's eyes widened. "Go answer the door, your date is waiting" Quinn said, grinning.
Santana got up, taking a deep breath before opening the door. Brett stood there with a shy smile. He was wearing black pants with dark shoes, a white shirt with a pale blue-grey blazer jacket. His hair had been recently cut but was still on the longer side. Brett's facial hair was also trimmed but he didn't shave it completely off because he knew Santana liked it.
"Hi" Brett said, "Hi" Santana whispered back. They both looked over each other, "You look beautiful Tana" he whispered. Santana blushed, "you look very handsome yourself" she replied. "These are for you," Brett said, handing the flowers to Santana. "I was going to get the typical red roses but the flourst said that peach roses mean Thank you and you've done so much for me" he explained. "They are beautiful" she said, smelling them, "Thank you".
"Let me put these in some water and then we can go," Santana said, turning around. Quinn got off the couch and walked over to them. "Let me do it, you guys get out of here." Quinn said, holding out her hand. Santana gave them to her, "Thanks Q" she smiled. "We will see you later, sis" Brett said planting a kiss on the top of her head. "Thank you again" he whispered to her. Quinn smiled. Brett opened the door, "After you" he motioned to Santana.
Brett held Santana's hand as they made their way down to the front of the apartment building. "Did you seriously get a driver?" she asked. "Yes, I wanted us to be able to drink as much as we wanted'' he said, opening the door for her. Santana got into the back of the black four door suv while Brett went in the other side. Brett kept his hand on Santana's knee the entire drive as they just chatted. "We are here, Mr. Pierce'' the driver said. Brett got out, ran around and opened the door for Santana. "Are we seriously eating here?" she asked, looking up at the sign that read Manhatta. "Yup, come on" he replied walking in with her.
They were seated in a private corner with a gorgeous view of New York City. "Brett, this is breathtaking" she said looking over the city. "Yeah you are," he replied. Santana turned back to him, "you are a charmer aren't you?" she asked. "I try" he laughed. The waiter brought over a great bottle of champagne and poured the couple a glass. Brett raised the glass, "to new beginnings" he said. Santana cheersed and took a sip.
"Brett this is all way too much" she said looking at the menu. It didn't even have prices which is how she knew it was expensive. "You're worth it, let me spoil you for one night" Brett replied. "So I tried to convince Rachel to move the karaoke night, she did not react well" he said, laughing. "Never try to rearrange hobbit's plans, she gets crazy" Santana explained. "Oh yeah I know that now" Brett mumbled. "This is still pretty perfect," she said, reaching across and grabbing his hand.
The two chatted while they ate their appetizer. Santana hasn't laughed this hard for a long time, and Brett hasn't been this genuinely happy ever. "So I have been wanting to ask you this since the night we went to the club, what does your tattoo mean?" Brett asked. "You do realize you are the only one who knows about it right?" She said. "You told nobody you got a tattoo? How did Sebastian not see it?" He asked. "I got the tattoo after we broke up. No one has seen me naked other than you since." Santana explained. Brett smiled, he liked that knowing that he was the last person to have seen her naked. "What does "I am enough" refer to?" Brett asked. Thinking back to the phrase that was written in cursive under her left breast.
"Everything I have done in my life has always not been enough. I was a cheerleader but was only co-captain. Graduated salutatorian not valedictorian. Went to NYU but it wasn't Harvard. Became a lawyer when all my mami and papi wanted was for me to be a stay at home mother. Then I get into a role where some men don't believe I earned it. I had another lawyer accuse me of sleeping my way to the top when I got the position over him." Santana scoffed. "Then I got into a relationship with a pompous asshole who really just wanted a pretty girl by his side. Bash actually asked me when I was going to quit my job and move in with him. I didn't even answer him, I just started hysterically laughing. Then to top it all off, my parents barely speak to me because I am a disappointment but don't worry my Papi still goes out with Bash for drinks at least once a week." Santana shook her head and let go of the breath that she didn't realize she was holding. "When I broke up with Sebastian I finally realized that I needed to look out for myself. One night I went out drinking after I won a big case. I walked by a tattoo parlor and decided to go inside. I had always wanted one but never knew what to get. When I was looking at the book, I saw the phrase. I just knew that it was the one. I got it in a spot where I got to control who saw it. I wanted to be able to remind myself of the moment that I finally realized that I was enough and moving forward I will always be enough, even if my family doesn't think so." Santana explained.
Brett was speechless. He always just assumed that Santana was this confident and bold woman, but she wasn't always like that. Brett knew she had her problems with her family but he didn't realize how deep it actually ran. He rubbed the back of her hand with his thumb. "Thank you for letting me see the tattoo and for explaining everything. You are enough Santana, in fact you're everything." Brett said. "It's a shame that your family doesn't realize just how great you really are. Spending your time getting murderers and rapists off the streets. You even helped a PTSD stricken, injured soldier. Don't let anyone tell you that you are not enough again" He said. Santana smiled.
The two continued with their entrees. "This is amazing," Santana said, lifting a serving of risotto into her mouth. "Open up" she said to Brett. He opened his mouth wide and she put her fork in his mouth. "Damn" he said, licking his lips. "I know!" San said, smiling. "I think this is the best meal I have had in awhile" Brett admitted. "Well you are used to crappy military food and take out since Q and I never cook" She said laughing. "That is very true," Brett laughed.
"So I forgot to tell you after everything that happened. That at Puck's I finally told Quinn about how extensive my injury was" Brett admitted. Santana was shocked, especially because Quinn never said anything to her about it. "How did she take it?" She asked. "She was mad that I told you before her, but Quinn understands now why I told you. I could tell she looked at me a little different, like she thought I was going to break when I hugged her" he explained. "You can't blame her for that. You were shot multiple times, anyone would think that" Santana explained. "I know but this is part of the reason why I didn't want to tell people in the first place. I don't like people treating me like I am going to break, I am a soldier. I won't break" Brett said, clearly frustrated.
"I don't think it's about breaking. No one wants to hurt another person. So when she heard that you were shot in the chest, of course she wouldn't want to hit your chest" She tried to explain. "Did you tell her about being captured?" Santana asked. "I will but that was not the time. We both decided that we were going to take baby steps. Lets just say being tortured is not babysteps" Brett said with a chuckle. Santana looked at him like he was crazy, "Why are you laughing?" she asked. "Because sometimes you just have to," he whispered.
"I don't want to talk about my time in war on our first date, why don't you tell me what you are planning on singing tonight?" he asked with a smirk. "What makes you think that I am singing?" Santana asked, slowly sipping her martini. "Well I was hoping that since I planned this wonderful night that I would get to see you sing" he asked, hopeful. "How do you even know I can sing?" She asked. "You were in a glee club, which means you can sing," Brett pointed out. "That is not true, Mike doesn't really sing; he mostly dances. " Santana said. "Tana I've heard you sing so I know you can" Brett pointed out. "Us dancing in the kitchen is not singing" She said laughing. "Then show me what real singing is tonight" Brett asked, hopeful.
"If I sing does that mean you will sing?" Santana asked. Brett shook his head quickly, "Absolutely not" he said. "Come on! I want to see you sing" she pleaded. "I think singing to you is not a first date kind of thing" Brett said. Santana pouted. "That is not going to work, I have a little sister" he exclaimed. "Yeah but I am cuter" she smirked. "Can't argue that" Brett said, sipping his beer.
"Here is that molten chocolate lava cake" the waiter said, placing it on the table and walking away. "They are known for this you know" Santana said, breaking the top with her spoon. "Oh I know, Quinn told me that you once searched for the best dessert in the city and you wanted to try this place, but you couldn't afford it at the time. Plus I know how much you love chocolate" Brett explained. "That is very true!" she said, laughing very loudly. "This is a little TMI but I don't really care. Quinn and I had just moved here together from Ohio. We were both on our periods and wanted something really chocolatey. So that was when I googled the best chocolate cake in the city and this place popped up. I looked at the price and let's just say, our college budgets would not have gotten us a salad here. So instead we got Ben and Jerry's and each ate a whole carton" Santana explained. Brett started laughing, "well does it meet your expectation?" he asked. "This exceeds my expectation!" Santana said, savoring the final bite.
"I hope you all enjoyed your meal, it was a pleasure serving you tonight" The waiter said, shaking Brett's hand and clearing the plates. "Everyone is already at the bar, are you ready to go?" Brett asked. Santana looked confused, "But we need to wait for the check" she reminded him. "I already gave my credit card earlier. I was not going to risk you trying to pay or seeing how much the bill is" He explained getting up. Santana smiled, and followed after him. They waited outside for their driver. "I had an amazing time tonight," Santana said, wrapping her arms around his waist. "I am so glad that you enjoyed it," He said. Brett leaned down and captured her lips. The kiss was passionate and spoke the words neither were ready to say yet. They pulled away but Santana sayed in his tight embrace looking up at him. "I thought people don't kiss on the first date?" She said, smirking. "I can't not kiss you" he admitted, capturing her lips again.
As they rode to the bar, Santana swung her legs over Brett's legs. He placed his arm around her waist pulling her closer. "I kinda wish we weren't going to the bar right now" she whispered. Brett let his other hand rub up and down her thigh. "Trust me I don't want to go either but it will be fun" he said. Santana caressed his cheek, "What I have planned I think is a lot more fun" she said against his lips. Before he could reply, she pulled his face to hers. Their lips crashed together, Brett pulled her closer. She ran her tongue over his lips begging for entry. Brett happily obliged and parted them. Their tongues met and both felt that spark that was felt the first time they kissed. Santana moved her hands to the back of his neck so she could grab on to his hair. Brett squeezed her thigh causing Santana to moan.
The driver cleared his throat bringing the couple out of their little bubble. "We are here" he said. They could both see him trying not to laugh. Santana started laughing letting her head drop to his chest. "We should go before they send out a search party," Brett said, placing a kiss on top of her head. "Hold on," San said, grabbing her bag. She pulled out a compact mirror, looking at herself. "You look beautiful" he said as she applied some lipstick. "Thank you but I also look like I just made out with someone," Santana explained. "Well you did" Brett laughed. She turned her attention to her date. "I know I did but I don't want them to know that and get all up in our business" she said as she wiped the lipstick from his lips. "Okay, now we can go in!" she said smiling.
"Do you see them?" Brett asked. Santana looked around and finally saw their friends near the stage. She rolled her eyes, of course Rachel made sure they were closest to the stage. "They are over there" she said pointing. "You go, I'll grab us drinks," Brett said, kissing her cheek.
"Hey Ladies!" Santana said to the girls. Mercedes, Tina, Quinn, Rachel and Kurt were all sitting on the couches. "Finally" Mercedes said, pulling Santana down next to her. "Someone to put Rachel in her place" Tina mumbled. Everyone started laughing. "You're just mad the crowd loves me" Rachel said, crossing her arms over her chest. "That's because you haven't let anyone else sing" Kurt replied. "Everyone shut up, How was your date?" Quinn asked. The whole group looked over at Santana. "It was great," San said. "Really Satan, we have all been looking forward to this all night" Kurt explained. "Why?" she asked. "It has been awhile since you've been on a date so spill" Tina said.
"He picked me up with flowers and had a private driver who took us to Manhatta" Santana started to say before Kurt squealed. "I've always wanted to go there!" he said excitedly. "Cool it Lady Hummul, my story. Anyways…. He got us a nice table in the corner and we just talked about everything really. It was nice to just be together and not have work looming over my shoulder. He also gave his credit card to them prior because he didn't want me to see or try and pay the bill" Santana explained, grinning ear to ear. "That is so romantic!" Tina said. "Bash was never that good to you," Mercedes pointed out. "You don't think I know that, especially now!" Santana said laughing.
"Here Tana" Brett said, placing her espresso martini in front of her. "Thank you, do you need cash?" she asked looking through her wallet. "No put it away, it's still our date night" he said smiling. "Excuse me?" Kurt said, raising his hand. Everyone looked at him, "Where can I find one of him?" He said, pointing to Brett. Everyone started laughing, "You did good!" Mercedes said cheersing Brett. "Um thank you" Brett said, confused. "The guys are over there," Quinn said, pointing to the high top table. Brett looked at Santana. He felt bad leaving her when they are supposed to be on a date. "Go" she said, smiling at him. He leaned down and gently kissed her. "Awwwww" the whole group said. "Shut up," Santana said to them. "Satan is blushing" Tina pointed out. "No, I don't blush" she replied. "I think you are," Brett said, laughing. Santana side eyed him, "Go" she said again. Brett quickly grabbed his beer and went over to the guys.
"Hey guys" Brett said, taking a seat next to Puck. "Brett my man! You survived Satan" Puck said laughing. "I still don't understand that nickname," he admitted. "That is good because it means you have not faced her wrath" Finn explained. "How was the date?" Mike asked. "It was great, she absolutely loved the restaurant so I am glad I took Quinn's advice." Brett said. "You know what this means, right gentleman?" Puck said. Everyone looked at him. "We need to step up our game because San is over there telling them everything which means we look like shit" Puck explained. "Thanks a lot man," Finn said, punching his arm. The whole group laughed, "sorry guys, I guess you need to do better" Brett replied.
"Up next we have…. Rachel Berry..Again" the announcer said.
Rachel walked up to the stage, "Thank you everyone, now please enjoy my favorite song "Don't Rain on my Parade" she said before she started to sing.
"How many times has she sung?" Santana asked Quinn. "This is her fourth time, you need to stop her" Quinn begged. "I want to hear you sing," Kurt said to San. "I haven't sung since glee club" she pointed out. "Is the Santana Lopez scared to get up on that stage" Mercedes said, trying to get a rise out of her. "I am not scared, I just don't want to sing a solo, '' Santana said. "I have an idea! Let's do our trio" Tina said smiling. "Aww I always loved that song! What do you say San?" Mercedes asked. "Fine, I am only agreeing to this because I'm a bit tipsy and really happy" Santana said smiling. "Lets go sign up" Tina said jumping up. "Cross off Rachel's name if it's on there another time" Quinn yelled after the three, Santana gave Quinn a thumbs up.
Now that they were alone, Kurt turned to Quinn "So how are you feeling?" he asked. "About Santana and Brett?" she asked, confused. Kurt nodded. "At first I was pissed which you probably already heard from Mercedes but I am okay. You should have seen them when Santana opened the door for Brett. They looked like 2 teenagers that have never been on a date before, it was really cute" Quinn said, smiling. "I am proud of you Quinn Fabray" Kurt said smiling. "Why thank you" she said laughing. "Everyone is so happy, you are finally dating Puck and Santana is happy. I never thought I would say that" Kurt pointed out. "That is part of the reason why I told Brett and Santana they should see where things go with each other. I found my happiness and they deserve theirs" Quinn explained. "Well, I will drink to that!" Kurt said, bringing the drink to his lips.
As Rachel continued to sing the girls went up to the guy in charge of karaoke. "You ladies want to sing" he asked. "Yeah, do you mind if we slow things down a little?" Mercedes asked. "I don't care what you do as long as that girl doesn't sing again" he said pointing to Rachel. "Don't worry we will shut her up" Santana said, laughing. They wrote their name down and crossed off the 2 other times Rachel signed up. The girls decided to go see what the guys were up to.
"Hey boys!" Mercedes said. "How is it that you always come up when I am about to take a trip to the bar?" Puck asked. "I just know when you need another drink, and I think we all need one too" she said looking at their empty glasses. Santana stood next to Brett's chair. "You want to sit?" he asked, wrapping his arm around her waist. "No I am perfect right here" she smiled. "Here Puck, put this round on my card" Brett said, giving him his credit card. "Thanks man," Puck said, grabbing it and going to the bar. "You don't have to pay for everything tonight," San said. "I know I don't but I want to, it's just one round" he said, smiling. "Come here" Brett said, quickly pulling Santana onto his lap before she could protest it. "I said I was fine," she said, laughing. "I know you did but I wasn't" he whispered, kissing just below her ear.
Santana sat on his lap angled so Brett could still talk with everyone. His arm was firmly wrapped around her waist, lightly rubbing her thigh. Santana's right arm was wrapped around his neck, keeping him close. "You guys are adorable!" Tina pointed out. "Yeah so cute" Puck said, fake gagging. He placed the drinks on the table for everyone to take. By this time Rachel finally came back to the table with Quinn and Kurt. "I think that was the best rendition I have ever done, what did everyone think?" Rachel asked, giddy. Everyone just mumbled, "you were great," Finn said. "Brett what did you think, you have never seen me sing" Rachel asked him. "It was good," he replied. "That's it?" she asked in disbelief. "Talk to your own date hobbit, not mine," Santana said.
"That wasn't very nice," Brett said to Santana. "That's why we invited her, she keeps Rachel in check" Mercedes said. "Always has" Quinn added, laughing. "Hey, you also invited me because I am great!" San said while grinning. "You aren't that great'' Kurt said, making the group laugh. "I can leave, I was on a date, remember" Santana threatened. "You are not leaving till it is our turn to sing" Mercedes said. "You're singing?" Brett asked, hopeful. Santana nodded, "I can't wait" he whispered.
The group continued talking, laughing and drinking while other people in the bar had their turn to sing. This group just clicked and Brett fit in perfectly. Quinn wasn't even phased by the couple, in fact seeing them so happy made her more happy.
"We are going to slow it down a bit, please welcome to the stage Mercedes, Santana and Tina" the announcer said on the microphone. "Good luck!" Brett said, giving Santana a quick kiss. The 3 girls walked onto the stage and took a seat on the three stools, which each had their own microphone.
Santana started,
"Regrets collect like old friends.
Here to relive your darkest moments
I can see no way, I can see no way
And all of the ghouls come out to play"
Brett watched and listened as Santana sang. He couldn't believe how amazing she sounded. Even as Tina and Mercedes continued, his eyes never left the latina's. Santana looked at him smiling.
Santana's voice took over again
"So I like to keep my issues strong
But it's always darkest before the dawn"
Santana held the last note perfectly as Mercedes and Tina joined in. Brett couldn't believe how angelic she sounded. No wonder she wore white tonight. The three joined their voices together.
"Shake it out, shake it out, oh whoa
Shake it out, shake it out
Shake it out, shake it out, oh whoa
And it's hard to dance with a devil on your back
So shake him off, oh whoa"
Brett noticed just how great they sounded together. Each one having a different tone to their voice, coming together in pure harmony.
Santana- "And it's hard to dance with a devil on your back"
Mercedes- "And given half the chance, would I take any of it back?"
Tina- "It's a fine romance but it's left me so undone"
Brett was captivated, he was definitely going to make Santana sing again.
"Shake it out, shake it out
Shake it out, shake it out, oh whoa (Oah, oh)
Shake it out, shake it out
Shake it out, shake it out, oh woah (Shake it out)
And it's hard to dance (When it's hard to dance)
With a devil on your back
{So shake him off} oh whoa
(Ouh, shake it off)"
Brett made a mental note to ask them more about their glee club days. There must be some tapes of them singing because if these 3 girls are this good, he can't even imagine how great the whole group is.
"And it's hard to dance with a devil on your back
So shake him off
Oh whoa (Oh, ooh, ooh, woah)"
They sang, bringing the song to a close. "Wow ladies, that was amazing," the announcer said into the microphone. The entire bar gave them a standing ovation, even louder than they were for Rachel.
Santana got off the stage and went straight to Brett, "Soooo?" she asked. "That was absolutely amazing, you guys were all amazing" he said looking over at the other girls too. Brett looked at his watch and realized just how late it was. He leaned into Santana so only she could hear him. "Why don't we get out of here?" he asked, placing a kiss on her neck. "What about Quinn?" San asked, knowing what exactly was going to happen when they got home. "She is staying at Pucks, it was her idea" Brett explained. "Oh really" Santana said kinda shocked. Brett nodded. "Yes, let's definitely get out of here but let's say goodbye first" Santana said.
Santana went over to Quinn, "We are going to get out of here, thank you again" San said, pulling her best friend close. "Anytime San" Quinn replied hugging her tight.
The song was Shake It Off which was performed on Glee, personally I think it is very underrated; it's probably one of my favorite Glee covers. Please don't forget to comment!
