Incestshipping (Ishizu Ishtar/Marik Ishtar/Jonouchi Katsuya/Kaiba Mokuba/Kaiba Seto/Kawai Shizuka)

. . .

As usual, this whole to-do was their fault.

Of course, all three of them had different ideas of who that "they" was.

Marik laid his head face down on the table and tried to focus on the cool wood, instead of the "exciting day" ahead of him. Ishizu had done nothing but talk about this Siblings Day event all week. Marik, at first, hadn't been required to attend, he had begged off the day for working on his mechanical engineering homework. But then Rishid had gotten swamped with work after someone else had called in sick and Ishizu had been practically distraught—she didn't actlike it, of course, but Marik could tell in that little way she made loud sighs while she looked over the brochure for this stupid event, and Marik had let it get to him, telling her that he'd go with her before he knew what he was saying.

Now, here he was, trapped in the middle of a ridiculous festival with all this noise and commotion and hundreds of groups of siblings all running around and shouting and chattering and by Ra he had a headache. At least he had run into Jonouchi, and now he had someone to complain about things with. If only he hadn'trun into Kaiba.

Jonouchi had actually been really excited for this thing. It had been weeks since he had been able to get out of Domino to visit Shizuka in Tokyo, and this siblings thing was the perfect excuse to make a day of it and get off of work for a whole daywith his sister.

But then he had run into Kaiba fucking Seto. And of course, by a stroke of unfortunate luck, Shizuka and Mokuba were friends somehow, and they had immediately started chattering away at each other, leaving Jonouchi and Kaiba to sit awkwardly at a picnic table by themselves, waiting for their siblings to break off the conversation. Which wasn't likely to be soon now that Ishizu had joined the conversation. At least Marik was here now. They could groan about this unfortunate turn of events together.

Seto had been a little wary about this whole business, but he hadn't been able to deny the appeal of being able to spend some time with his brother. He had been working too hard lately and had barely had a breath to spare for a conversation with Mokuba, much less anything else. When Mokuba had slapped the brochure down on the table and stared at him with those big, sparkling eyes of his, Seto couldn't say no. And he had even been cautiously interested. He wasn't a big fan of big to-dos like this, but those carnival games were always fun. And he liked the look on Mokuba's face when Seto won all of them and snagged the giant stuffed animals that Mokuba liked to collect. It was worth going undercover in a nondescript hoodie and sunglasses to spend a day at a silly Siblings Day with his brother.

But he wasn'tso sure it was worth running into these two. When had Mokuba befriended the mutt's sister anyway? And what were they talking about? And why did he have to sit at the table next to Jonouchi? And what the hell were Marik and Ishizu even doing in Japan right now?

He wasn't going to get the answers to any of those questions, so he just folded his arms tightly, pressed his lips together, and tried to count the seconds until this awkward moment was over.

But, to all three of their chagrins, it was not to be that simple.

"This is so great!" Shizuka pratically squealed as she plopped down on the picnic bench opposite her brother. "Isn't this fun, Katsuya? I can't believe we found so many people we knew today!"

"Haha, yeah..." Jonouchi said. "What a coincidence, yeah? But we don't wanna keep 'em or anything, right? You want to go on the Ferris Wheel, right?"

But Shizuka had apparently bought her and him a basket of fries and it looked like they weren't leaving this table any time soon.

"Oh, there's no rush," Ishizu said, slipping in opposite Marik with a bowl of fried yakisoba for each of them. "It's fun to catch up with everyone when we have the chance!"

"Yeah, more the merrier right?" Mokuba said as he jumped across from his brother with an chocolate ice cream for himself and a vanilla one for Seto.

Seto resisted the urge to groan. Jonouchi and Marik could not, and the sound twisted at the backs of their throats, luckily swallowed by the crowds before their siblings heard.

All three boys glanced at each other. Their siblings were still chattering away, having a grand old time on their own, oblivious to the awkwardness between the others.

And for the barest moment, just the hint of a second, there was a breath of solidarity between them. At least they all understood, after all, what it was like to have a sibling that went and did their own goddamn agenda...
