"Allen Walker"-Talking from flashback

'Allen Walker'- talking to oneself

At Black Order

Turmoil is found everywhere at the Black Order. Ever since the revelation of Allen hosting the Fourteenth who undeniably have a connection, a rather bad connection to the Earl and his disappearance, everyone seems agitated. Lenalee could feel that. As she walks in the hallway of their building, she can't help but noticed the difference although it looks the same as always. Disregarding it, she continued her walk towards his brother's office. Before she could knock the door slam open revealing one of the bishops who seems fuming as he walked away.

"Lenalee! I am so glad you finally visited me! I had missed you!" Komui exclaimed as he approached her that only made her sweat dropped.

"We had seen each other two days ago Nii-san."

"But it was two days ago. Now is different." He continued his childish talk to her cooing her as usual.

"Is…there a problem?" Lenalee asked almost a whisper and just by looking at the sudden change on her brother's demeanor she already knows the answer.

"The church is getting restless. With the recent events concerning the akumas with the addition of the Fourteenth's appearance, they are panicking. Now that Cross Marian is not here, one who was deemed as a strongest exorcist, they worry that our army would not be enough to face the Earl together with the Noahs." His brother answered as he goes back to his seat. Crossing his arms, he continued. "They are pressuring us to look for more people blessed with innocence."

"Searching for one is not that easy. And they want to find more?" A sigh was then heard after.

"Yes. They also said that if we can not find any innocence bearer, we'll divert to looking for people who can be an innocence bearer."

"What? But that.." Lenalee trembled. 'No. They should not. That thing… that thing..'

"The main reason why Alma Karma existed and that tragedy happened. Now they want to do the same thing again! Those mother*ckers! Since finding the Heart considered almost impossible, they resulted to this scheme."

"Nii-san. What really is Heart?" Lenalee asked seriously. She had been heard since then about the Heart, how it is necessary to win the war against the Noah but it had been a long time but heart is still nowhere to find as if it was only a made-up story.

"You are thinking that it was just a made-up story, right? But I can't really blame you, even I had once thought of that but records of its existence by the Bookman though very few is enough proof that the heart really do exist. However, it was a bit disconcerting how, there is no record on how its existence came to be or how does a person obtain the Heart. It is like it was deliberately not included." He seriously told Lenalee. He, for once, had pester the Bookman to know more about the heart but it was so lacking. It is either, the heart talked to the Bookmans not to include its origin or even them, don't know. With a sigh, Komui continued. "But if what is in the record is anything but true, then we greatly need the Heart's power. Making miracles like that of God. We really need the Heart and hence although it is already deemed as almost impossible, the Black Order still pursuit the search."

Lenalee silently ponder on what her brother said. She had heard rumors about the Heart's power that is akin to a miracle. If it was indeed true, they really need the heart but how if they wouldn't be able to find the heart? Would they lose in the impending war? At that thought, Lenalee felt a tingling sensation in her body. It was light but she could feel the vibration and prickling sensation coming from where her innocence was. As if…it was opposing her thought.

"Are you fine Lenalee? You seem very troubled."

"Ah! Y-yes I am fine. I'm just thinking some things." She hurriedly answered and excused herself. As she return to her bedroom, a voice made her stop on her track. She turn around to check but there was no one but her. Redeeming it just a case of her mind playing tricks on her, she continued walking but once again she heard the voice. This time clearer.

"Do not doubt child. Everything will be fine."

Despite of how suspicious it was since she was alone, she can't be helped but feel calm and should she say secured? The voice that had spoke magically dispel all the confusions and problems she had making her own heart at peace. And that night, Lenalee had sleep deeply and serenely.

Czech Republic, 10:46 PM

Also that night, at Old Town Hall in Prague, Czech Republic, right in the Prague Orloj, a lone man on his mid 30's was standing along the astronomical dial holding a rather obsolete camera as if reminiscing something. His dark olive hair sway back forth as the soft zephyr play with it.

"Oh that camera is still alive? Is that still functional?" A voice murmured with awe out of nowhere on its words. He only nod in silence, his viridian eyes stare at the horizon without batting an eye to the other person he is expecting. "Really, as always you are so quiet, Alois."

At the utter of his name, he glanced shortly at the person before returning back to where he was staring previously. "I don't see them with you Gerard." Finally, he, Alois spoke up.

"Carina might be babysitting the twins. You know how handful those two are. I bet the three are there somewhere playing around."

"Gerard." It was monotonous but Gerard knows the implication behind it.

"Haaaizzz. I had been telling them that it is a bad idea especially when you are here." At that Alois glared only for Gerard to raise his hands surrendering. "But I'm telling the truth. Only that rather than play, they uhm… How should I put it… They, well .. Aaaagh! To hell with it! The twins wanted to get Apocryphos back and Carina finding it out tagged along." And there was silence, cold cold silence. 'Ah the wind breeze is colder tonight.' He can't be helped but gulp as his lapiz lazuli eyes reflected the visage of Alois staring hard at him. Despite being 5 years older than him, Alois is more mature and of course, he is also the most powerful among them. 'And the closest to Deus.' "Those twins are strong and Carina is with them. They will be safe Alois."

"I have no question with their ability. Only that…" Alois mumbled, eyes softening.

A small sigh escaped from Gerard's lips gazing up to the galaxy night sky. His fingers brushing his flax colored hair that was disheveled by wind earlier. "She won't like it. We all know that. Everything that must be protected, should be protected. That is her belief, right?"

"Leave it. It will die anyway."

"No! Its wing might be broken but it can still be healed." Her pale hands gently scooped the wounded wren delicately nuzzling it with her nose. "I will take care of it." And she smiled, more blinding than the sun rays casted on her small form.

"Look! It's flying, Kin!" She exclaimed happily as she twirled, following the wren she had took with utmost care. The bird kept circling her until it went close to her and perch on her right shoulder. "Thank you for staying alive and well." She whispered, her hand patting its head.

Rather than belief, better say it is her nature and her big heart.

"You can't bring that with us!" Gerard shouted face contorted into angry one.

"But she is just a child and unawaken."

"That is not a human. That is a Noah for goddamn sake!" He spouted, venom lacing on the word Noah. "It doesn't need protection. If you can't leave it, then allow me to kill it here NOW!" He was livid. Child or not he will never let that abominable thing be close to them. Not an inch!

"I…" She wasn't able to finish her words when she was yanked away from the child dragging her away. The moment she turned back; she saw Gerard aiming his blade to the little girl. She ran. No hesitation, no looking back. Because he was so blinded with anger, he didn't notice her. Only when his darkened vision came back to normal did he realize everything and his blood run cold. Blade pierced on her back. Blood pooling to where the wound is and her kneeling form, hugging the young Noah with her arms. And he howled.

Her own heart is both a blessing and curse.

"That's why for her sake, we will keep ourselves alive no matter what." Gerard, who is gazing at his right hand, clenched it close resting it his chest. "Until the dies iudicii."
