Santana sat in her bedroom looking up pregnancy books. She was going to order a few on amazon but then Quinn would have found out. It's not that she wants to hide it from Quinn, she absolutely doesn't. Santana just wants to tell Brett first. So her plan is to keep it a secret at least until Brett can call her then tell the group. She thought about making a cute little package and sending it to him but then she remembered that she does not know where he is. In the meantime, Santana couldn't help but look up cute little outfits, both boys and girls since she did not know the gender. Of course she has her preference right away, but she would be happy with any baby since it is a mixture of her and Brett.

Santana can't even believe she lasted a week keeping this secret. Right when she walked out of the appointment, San immediately looked at her phone. Brett had texted her "I love you so much." She quickly hit the call button. Maybe she could get him before he left for his mission. God she hoped that she could catch him. But that hope was crushed when his phone went straight to voicemail. Santana tried calling again, maybe he had his phone on do not disturb. Again she hit the call button but it went straight to voicemail. Once the beep sounded she began to speak, "hey babe it's me. Just got out of my doctor's appointment, all my tests came back good, actually great. Please call me when you can. I love you B. Stay safe" she said into the phone before ending her voicemail.

Santana thought about that moment a lot. Wondering what would have happened if he answered? Would she have told me? Santana thought, of course she would but then something else came to mind. Would Santana have wanted him to know right before going on a deadly mission. Would that mess him up?

It didn't matter now because Brett didn't answer, she didn't get to tell him. Now she sits here and wonders how long it was going to take for him to call her back. Was he going to listen to her voicemail? A part of her knew that Brett would just call her right away, then listen after. Santana smiled big, she couldn't wait to tell him. They were having a baby.

The door to her bedroom barged open, "What the hell are you doing?" Mercedes asked. Santana managed to switch the tab to something that didn't involve babies. "What the hell are you doing?" San asked, laughing. Mercedes looked at her strangely. Normally Santana would swear at her or say something really sassy for coming into her room unannounced, but something about her was glowing. But Mercedes just decided to drop it, "You better be coming out with us" she said. "I can't," Santana replied. "No, absolutely not. Quinn just got you out of your dark hole, you can't already be retreating back into it" Mercedes said. "I am not retreating into a dark hole. I am sick, remember. I don't feel like drinking" Santana explained.

"You have a super cold. Which means you can go out and we won't even pressure you to drink, what do you say?" Cedes asked. Santana rolled her eyes, "My super cold is kicking my ass. I will not be fun out I promise" San explained. "But I feel like we haven't spent any time together. The weeks leading up to Brett leaving you were constantly with him which is completely understandable. But then you got super depressed and sad which would have made for sad company so now that you are back, I want to hang out with you." Mercedes said. This normally would piss Santana off, she is allowed to be upset, her boyfriend was deployed but Santana wasn't mad. She saw that her friend was looking out for her, that's it.

"Listen, I'll make you a deal. You go out and have fun. Tomorrow lets have a get together here, with everyone. I'll order food from that Italian place we like across the street. The guys can watch that big football game that determines who is in the Superbowl and we can just catch up. What do you say?" Santana suggested. Mercedes groaned and then sighed, "fine but you are buying the alcohol" Mercedes mumbled. Santana smiled, "deal". Mercedes pulled Santana into a hug, "you know I am here for you right?" Cedes whispered. Santana pulled back to look at her friend. "Of course I do, what makes you think I don't?" Santana asked skeptically. "It's not that I think you don't, I just want to remind you. If anything is bothering you I am here if you want to talk" Mercedes gave her a small smile. "I know, I promise I am okay," Santana said. "I'll see you tomorrow?" Mercedes asked. "Yes you will, tell everyone to come around 11 and I'll order the food" Santana said. Mercedes nodded, "see you then San '' she replied before leaving.

When Santana woke up she immediately felt like her stomach was going against her. Or should she say her baby is rejecting her. San raced to the bathroom and managed to raise the cover of the toilet right on time. She threw up everything in her stomach. Even retching when her body wanted to get rid of more but there wasn't anything left. She sat down on the floor leaning against the bathtub. Times like these are when she wished Brett was here. He would sit with her and rub her back. Brett would make sure she was eating and staying hydrated for both her and the baby. Santana wiped the tears that fell. "God I need to stop crying" she mumbled to herself.

Santana heard Quinn's door open up from the other side of the apartment. She quickly scrambled to her feet as Quinn's footsteps got closer. Santana flushed the toilet and made her way over to the skin, just in time for Quinn to come into the bathroom. "Morning San" Quinn mumbled taking a seat on the toilet. "How was last night?" Santana asked as she grabbed her toothbrush. "It was fine I guess, it's not the same when you are not there" Quinn admitted. "We went to the dive bar that Puck is always raving about, it was disgusting" She added. Quinn flushed the toilet and walked over to the other sink to wash her hands.

Santana spit her toothpaste into the sink. "You should have known if Puck loves the place" San said before rinsing out her mouth. "I know, I know but sometimes I like to give him the benefit of the doubt," Quinn exclaimed. Santana giggled, "that is never a good idea" she said, making Quinn laugh. "So how did Mercedes convince you to have people over today?" Quinn asked. "Made me feel guilty," San admitted. "You feel guilty? When has that ever happened?" Quinn said laughing. "I do have a heart you know" Santana replied. "Trust me I know, you show me a little more of it everyday" Quinn said. "You are always so mushy you know" She pointed out. Quinn smiled big, "you love it" she yelled as Santana walked out of the bathroom.

Santana met Mercedes at the liquor store, she did promise to buy. "What do you feel like drinking?" Cedes asked, looking over the selection. "I don't think I am going to drink," Santana said. She placed her hand on her abdomen like a reflex. Good thing she caught herself doing it and quickly moved her hand just in time. Mercedes wiped her head around to look at you. "You are drinking and that is that Satan" Cedes said before going back to the selection. "I said I would have a party, buy the food and alcohol. I never said I was drinking, I am still sick remember" Santana reminded her. Mercedes groaned, "You are annoying" she mumbled.

Mercedes grabbed 4 bottles of wine, 2 of champagne and 2 bottles of tequila. "How much alcohol are you buying?" Santana asked, looking into the cart. "You mean you are buying" Mercedes said with a smirk. "You said you would buy the alcohol, you never mentioned how much" she added. "I hate you," Santana muttered. "You might but everyone else will love me when I bring back the free booze" Mercedes said, placing the bottles on the counter. "That will be 126.89" the cashier said. Santana gave Mercedes a dirty look as she handed over the credit card.

The walk back was cold but to Santana it was actually nice. The fresh air really settled her stomach. "What do you think Brett is doing right now?" Santana asked. Mercedes thought through her answer carefully, she didn't want to upset her friend. "Maybe masturbating, thinking of you," Cedes said. Santana started laughing, "that was the only thing you could come up with?" she asked. "I wanted to make you smile and I knew you would if I said that" Cedes admitted. "What do you really think he is doing?" Santana asked again. "I picture him in this room with a bunch of surveillance screens. A bunch of guys sitting around him listening to him come up with some top-secret plan" Mercedes said.

Santana nodded slowly, "I can see that" she whispered. "He is doing great, I just know it" Mercedes said. Santana smiled, "I really hope you are right. I just hate not being able to talk to him" she said. "I know, I bet this last week has felt so much longer" Mercedes exclaimed. "It really has. I was hoping everything was going to go by fast but it hasn't. In fact since the news everything has gone by in slow motion" She expressed. Mercedes made a face, "what news?" she asked. "What" Santana asked back. "You said this week has gone by in slow motion since the news….. What news are you talking about?" she asked again. Fuck, Santana thought to herself. Shit shit shit, how could she be so stupid. She needed to think of something believable quickly. "Christopher Westwood is pleading not guilty" Santana said.

"I thought you knew he was going to do that. Why would that be news?" Mercedes asked. "I did know that but I didn't know that he was going to plead not guilty by reason of insanity" Santana said. She was so happy that she was able to come up with that so quickly. You see Santana wasn't lying by any means. Christopher Westwood was going to plead not guilty by reason of insanity but Santana was notified a few days ago. A friend of hers gave her the inside scoop. So it was not public knowledge yet but it will be soon enough. This was a pretty big case. The man is accused of killing 7 people and his father is extremely well known. "Shit San, that's not good. What are you going to do?" Mercedes asked.

"There isn't anything I can do other than prove he is not insane" Santana said. "How are you going to do that?" Mercedes asked. "I have some people digging into his past. I am trying to get in touch with his commander in the military but it has been very difficult" she admitted. "Why? You would think people would want to help throw this creep in prison" Mercedes said disgusted. "Exactly what I was thinking but his father is a very high ranking army general. Even Brett knew who he was and he's a marine. I bet his father is pulling strings to keep us away from the very people that kicked his son out of the military" Santana explained. "So what are you going to do about it? If he is that high up, people are probably scared of him" Mercedes said. "They definitely are but I bet those people are even more scared of the police. The only thing I can do is threaten to bring charges against them that will get them discharged from the army" Santana exclaimed. "Are you sure you want to do that?" Mercedes asked. "I don't want to but if showing them pictures of dead veterans doesn't work, then I need to do it," Santana said. "Goodluck, keep me updated. I love knowing things before the public" Mercedes said with a chuckle. "I know you do, that's why I tell you everything first" San replied.

The entire gang was over Quinn and Santana's apartment. The guys were watching the AFC champion while the girls just chit-chatted over food and drinks. Santana looked around the room. Everyone looked so happy and content with everything going on. Brett would have loved to be here, he always loved when everyone got together. Santana wondered if anyone else was thinking that. Or was she the only one in the room who was missing him. "Santana, is there anymore seafood alfredo left?" Puck asked coming up next to her, bringing her out of a trance. "Yeah, right here" she said, pulling off the cover of one of the tinfoil tray. "Yeahh" Puck smiled, helping himself to a heaping spoonful. "I thought you weren't getting off the couch?" Santana asked. "It's half time," he replied. The smell hit her like a ton of bricks, it smelled rancid.

Her stomach started rumbling. She looked down at her phone and saw the time. Right on schedule, her afternoon nausea is here. "Santana, are you okay?" Puck asked. Santana just nodded, she thought that if she opened her mouth then surely she would puke. Which means she would need to answer a boat load of questions that Santana just didn't feel like dealing with. "Do you want to sit down?" Quinn asked, getting up from the table. Santana just waved her hand. "Santana, you look really pale," Finn pointed out. "Someone get her some water" Rachel yelled out.

Mercedes grabbed her hand and led her over to the couch. Santana took a seat and her hand immediately went to her stomach. She applied a little pressure hoping to settle it. "Here" Mercedes said, grabbing the water that Tina got and handing it to her. Santana took small little sips. It seemed to be helping that or getting away from the seafood alfredo on the dining table did the trick. "Are you okay?" Quinn asked. She placed her hand on Santana's forehead. "I don't think you have a fever," Quinn added. "I am okay, its just this stupid bug" Santana waved her off. "When did the doctor say it will go away?" Puck asked. "She doesn't exactly know but the stress of this case isn't helping" San said with a chuckle.

"Well just sit here for a little bit" Mercedes said. "I'll grab you a Gatorade," Tina said, going to grab one. "That is a good idea, electrolytes are good," Rachel added. Tina handed Santana the drink. She took a tiny sip. "You need to drink more than that. It might actually help get rid of the virus" Rachel pointed out. "Thanks for the advice Dr. Hobbit" Santana said. Puck laughed, "okay Satan is back. Everyone back to normal" Puck said, clapping as if breaking up the spectacle.

Santana just stayed sitting on the couch among all the guys. The nausea was still definitely there and she thought that if she got up then Santana would surely puke. Quinn grabbed a few of the trays and made her way to the kitchen to put them away. Mercedes followed close behind. "What is going on with her?" Mercedes asked, since they were the only two in the kitchen. Quinn groaned, "I have no idea. It's like one second she's here and then the next she isn't" she said. "Do you think this whole thing with Brett is making her sick?" Mercedes asked. Quinn looked over at her, "what do you mean?" she replied.

"I was doing some reading and I saw that people can react to anxiety by being physically ill" Mercedes exclaimed. Quinn thought about it for a second, "I could see that, she has been feeling sick since Brett left" she said. "And now that he is on this mission and can't talk to San. Her symptoms are getting worse. She literally looked like she was going to either pass out or throw up out there. Maybe even both." Mercedes pointed out. "I think you are right. Her fear is coming out as physical ailments, it's the only thing that seems plausible" Quinn said. "So what are we going to do then?" Mercedes asked. "We need to just keep her mind occupied. I noticed that when she is in her own thoughts for too long, San looks worse" Quinn said. Mercedes nodded, "then we will do that because Brett asked me to look out for her and I will not let her get worse" she said.

While Quinn continued to clean up, Mercedes went and took a seat next to Santana. "What are they arguing about?" she asked as the guys were bickering. "I don't really know, something about a quarterback," Santana said. Mercedes couldn't care less, "when are you going back to work?" Cedes asked. "I think I am going to go back tomorrow," San said. "Do you feel up to it?" she asked. "Not 100% but I need to go back eventually. I have been out for a week with this bug and it doesn't seem to be getting better. That doesn't change the fact that I need to continue prepping for this case" Santana explained. "Don't push yourself too hard, the case will always be there" Mercedes pointed out. Santana smiled at her, "I won't don't worry," San said. Mercedes reached over and grabbed her hand giving it a squeeze.

"What is with you?" Santana asked with a grin. "I am just looking out for you" Mercedes replied. "Did Brett ask you too?" she inquired. "Don't be mad. But yeah he did" Mercedes exclaimed. Santana smiled. "Of course, he still manages to look out for me without even being here" she said. "He loves you" Mercedes said. "I know, I really miss him," Santana said, looking at her friend. Mercedes could see the sadness in her eyes but there was also something glowing about the Latina. Her tan skin had this sparkling tint to it but Mercedes just couldn't figure it out. "He will be home in no time." Cedes said. "I hope you're right" San replied.

Suddenly there was a pounding at the front door which made a few people in the room jump. "Is anyone waiting for someone?" Quinn asked. Everyone looked around, all the people in the room shook their heads no. Quinn started walking to the front door until Mike cut her off. "Let me get it, '' he said. Quinn walked back toward the living area. Mike opened the door slowly and was met with someone he knew. "Oh hello Mr. Lopez '' he said. "Where is my daughter?" Carlos asked. "She is just in the living room, let me get her" Mike said but Carlos Lopez just push him to the side. "Why don't you come in" he mumbled, as he shut the door.

Carlos Lopez stood just at the edge of the room, looking right at his daughter. "Papi, what are you doing here?" she asked. Everyone went silent. "Do you like making a fool out of this family?" Carlos asked. "What are you talking about?" Santana asked. "Stop acting stupid Santana!" he yelled. Puck stood up and stepped in between the two. " , do not come in here and start yelling at her" Puck said. Carlos scoffed, "I am talking to my daughter, stay out of this" Mr. Lopez said. Santana stood up quickly from the couch, "Puck it's okay" she said, placing her hand on his shoulder. Puck looked at her and Santana just gave him a little nod. Puck backed up so Santana could see her father again.

"Why don't we go into my room and talk?" Santana asked. Carlos looked at her, "you don't want your friends to know your whorish ways?" he asked. Everyone's mouths dropped. "Do not call her that" Puck threatened. He stepped closer but Santana put her hand out to keep him from walking closer to her father. "Papi, what the hell is this? What has gotten into you?" Santana asked in disbelief. "What has gotten into me? What has gotten into you!" Carlos screamed. "All I have ever done is work and provide for this family. I have given you everything you have ever wanted. I paid your tuition even though I did not agree with your career choice. I even paid for your cosmetic surgery, you could have at least followed the direction we wanted you to go in" he added. He used his hand to signal to her chest.

Santana was slightly taken back by that. It wasn't a secret that she had a boob job in high school. In fact most people were shocked that her parents would even allow it. But Santana had her ways and was very good at the art of persuasion. You see Mr and Mrs. Lopez have always wanted her to be married to a successful man, this idea has extended all the way back to when she was younger. So when Santana was in high school and she really wanted a boob job, she used her parents' wishes to get it. Santana convinced her father that she needed them to get a guy. Once she mentioned that he was one hundred percent on board. It is rather disgusting that he would even do that. Santana should have taken it as a sign way back then. Santana never even told her friends about it. Yet they have always tried asking but Santana managed to skate around it everytime.

Even now that she is older, her parents have never discussed it. Carlos Lopez paid for them and brought her to the surgeon while Maribel helped her daughter once she was home. But once Santana was pretty much healed, it was never spoken of again. Maybe her parents did realize just how fucked up it was. But the fact that he was now using it against her was absolutely repulsive.

Santana couldn't believe her father was standing in her living room yelling at her in front of all her friends. "I never asked you to pay for school," she said, choking up. "And you were all for my boob job," Santana added. She could tell that saying the word 'Boob Job' made her father very uncomfortable. "You can say boob job, it isn't a bad word," San said. Carlos Lopez took a deep breath and bit the inside of his bottom lip. Everyone in the room recognized his actions because it is the same thing that Santana does when she is on the verge of erupting, I guess that is where she got it from. "I paid for it because we had an agreement" He said, fighting back the temptation to yell. "You paid for it because you thought it would make rich guys want me" Santana said. Everyone in the room's eyes widened. They could not believe what was happening in front of them.

"All I ever asked was for you to represent our family name and you went and fucked everything up" Carlos yelled. Santana jumped, her father rarely swore, basically only when he was very upset; which explains the yelling now. "I did not fuck anything up. I am a very successful lawyer. In a relationship with an amazing man who sacrifices his life to let us live safely. What more could parents want for their child?" Santana fought back. "We had a plan for you. Get married to a successful surgeon and have a family" Mr. Lopez said. "Are we really going back to that? I do not want to be with Sebastian and I do not want to be just another housewife." Santana groaned.

"So you just want to be another slut" Carlos said. The word cut threw the air like a knife, some people gasped and some people just looked at Santana to see what she was going to say. "I am in a committed relationship with a man I love, just because you don't think it is right does not mean I am a slut" Santana said. "You are a disgrace Santana Marie" Mr. Lopez said, using her full name like she was a child. "Why? Because I decided to do what makes me happy?" She asked. Carlos scoffed, "no because you got pregnant by that no good rotten soldier" he said.

The room went absolutely silent, so silent that you could hear a pin drop. Santana opened her mouth and then shut it again. "What? Are you shocked that I found out?" he asked. Mercedes got up and wrapped her arm around Santana. "Do you really think that you can come into my hospital and I would not find out?" he asked again. "You went to my doctor?" Santana asked, trying to figure out how he found out. "Of course I tried that but she wouldn't tell me anything. I finally just looked up your medical record, expecting you to have come in for a physical. But to my surprise your pregnancy test came back positive and you had an ultrasound" Carlos said, throwing something on to the ground. The paper landed face up, showing a sonogram. Santana instantly recognized it, it was her sonogram. She looked back up to her father with tears in her eyes, "You had no right," San said, her voice trembling. The finger that she was pointing at her father was shaking.

"I had every right. You are my daughter. The person who is supposed to be upholding the family legacy. Instead, you go and get yourself pregnant out of wedlock" Carlos said. "I didn't plan this" she replied. "Whether you planned it or not, doesn't change what I think of you. What your mother thinks of you" Carlos said. "Mami knows?" San asked. "Of course I told your mother. I asked her if she wanted to come here today but she can't bear to even look at you" Mr. Lopez said. Santana felt as if her father just stabbed her in the chest. They had never accepted her choices but Santana always thought that when she was pregnant that her parents would be elated to have a grandchild. Her mother had always said that she wanted Santana to have a little girl just like she did.

"Why are you doing this to me?" Santana asked. The tears are slowly rolling down her face. "You did this to yourself, Santana," Carlos said. He pulled open his briefcase and pulled out a file. Handing it over to Santana. She grabbed it and opened it slowly, Mercedes peered over her shoulder to look at it. "What is this?" San asked. "It is a copy of your mother and I's will," he said. Santana didn't understand, "why are you showing me this?" Santana asks. "So you can see how much money and family heirlooms you are missing out on," Carlos said. "What?" Santana asked again. "I just came from our lawyer's office and you have been officially removed from everything. You will not inherit anything, no money or the brownstone or your Abuela's antique jewelry" Carlos explained. "Papi," Santana said, stepping forward but he stepped back.

"You are not a Lopez, I want nothing to do with you," Carlos said. "Papi please, you can't do this to me. I am your only child, your little girl" Santana cried. Carlos just shook his head. "No, you are nothing anymore," he said with a hint of sadness in his voice. "You don't want to know your grandchild?" Santana asked as her hand cradled her abdomen. Carlos's eyes went from hers to her stomach and back up. "Not if that child has any DNA from that man. Speaking of him, where is he?" Mr. Lopez asked. Santana was silent. "Oh right, he is deployed. Does he even know that you are knocked up?" Carlos asked.

"Shut the hell up" Puck threatened. Quinn held on to him so he didn't attack Santana's father. "What are you going to do if he dies? Just be a single mother?" Carlos asked another question. The tears fell faster down her face. "Nothing is going to happen to Brett," Mercedes said, tightening her hold on Santana. "My brother is going to come home and be over the moon that they are having a baby," Quinn said. Santana looked at her best friend, Quinn gave her a soft smile. Trying to tell her that she means what she said. Carlos scoffed, making Santana turn her attention toward him again.

"Listen to me very carefully Santana. All of this can go away. I can easily change our will to include you back in it. Your mother and I will consider you part of this family again if you make this right" Carlos said. Santana still cradled her abdomen, "what are you saying?" she asked. "Only you can fix this problem," Mr. Lopez said, making a gesture toward her stomach with his hand. "My baby is not a problem," Santana said in a very angry tone. "It is an abomination. Get rid of it and you can be a Lopez again, it is very simple." Carlos explained. Santana's mouth dropped. Finn stepped forward but Rachel held him back.

"I know how far along you are so there is still time to make your choice," He said. "Get the hell out," Quinn said. Carlos looked at her then back to his daughter. "The ball is in your court, Santana. I am really hoping you make the right choice. Do not disappoint your mother and me further" Carlos said. He made a point to step on the sonogram on his way out, slamming the front door after him. Santana just stood there looking down at her father's footprint embedded on the sonogram. Everyone else in the room just looked around at each other. Nobody knew what to say and no one wanted to speak first.

Santana couldn't stay in the room any longer. She dropped the copy of the will and took off down the hall. Santana didn't look at anyone as she left the room; all she wanted to do was escape the silence. The only place she could go to was her bedroom and that was where she went, quickly shutting the door behind her.

"It all makes sense now," Mercedes said, finally speaking. They all looked at her. "Why Santana has been sick. It was morning sickness" she said. "I wonder how long she has known?" Tina said out loud. "A week," Puck said. "How the hell do you know?" Quinn asked. Puck shrugged his shoulders, "She has been happy and less bitchy for a week" he said. "So you are just guessing," Finn asked. Puck nodded. Kurt bent down and picked up the picture. He tried to get rid of the dust from the footprint the best he could. He didn't know exactly what he was looking at but among the darkness was what looked like a little bean. Kurt looked at the corner and saw the name Lopez, Santana Marie. "Is it hers?" Finn asked. Kurt looked up and nodded.

"I think someone should go talk to her," Rachel suggested. Mercedes and Quinn both looked at each other and nodded. It was unspoken but everyone in the room knew who needed to talk to her.

Quinn and Mercedes walked down the hall and knocked quietly at the door. They didn't hear anything from the other side. They took that as an opportunity to open the door, at least she didn't say to go away.

When they opened the door, they both saw Santana sitting in the middle of her bed with her face buried in a pillow. Quinn recognized it, it was Brett's pillow. The only sound was her quiet sobs that were being muffled by the pillow. The girls shut the door and went toward her. Mercedes sat on one side while Quinn got on the other. Cedes put one arm around her shoulders and just held her. Quinn copied but her arm went around Santana's waist, both their heads resting on her shoulders. They just sat there, holding their best friend while she cried.

Everyone knew that if they wanted Santana to talk about something, the only person that could convince her to is herself. So they stayed in that embrace. Both Quinn and Mercedes knew that they were going to just sit there as long as she needed them to.

After a few minutes, the sobs became less and less until they stopped. Santana kept sniffling a few times but at least she wasn't crying anymore. It took a few more minutes for her to finally raise her head from the pillow. Santana leaned her head against Quinn's head that was on her shoulder. One of Santana's hands let go of the pillow and gripped onto Mercedes's hand. "Talk to us San" Mercedes whispered. "We just want to help you," Quinn said right after. Santana moved away from them. They both assumed that she was just going to leave, make a run for the door but to their surprise she didn't. Santana positioned herself on the bed so she was sitting across from them, Brett's pillow still on her lap. She sat cross-legged, clutched the pillow against her chest. The girls could see her face.

It didn't look like the Santana they knew. She looked small and broken. Her face was blotchy red with mascara lines going down her cheeks from her eyes. This girl has always been the strongest person in the room. Even in previous times that her father has cut her down, Santana has stood strong. This time though hit her very hard.

Santana looked between her friends. She opened her mouth to say something but then shut it again before looking down at the pillow. "We are not going anywhere San" Quinn said. "We are here for you no matter what" Mercedes exclaimed. Santana looked back up at them. "I….I'm..pregnant" Santana managed to get out. Both Quinn and Mercedes nodded before both of them smiled, neither could hold it in anymore. "We are going to be aunties!" Mercedes squealed. "You guys are happy?" Santana asked. "Of course we are, why wouldn't we be?" Mercedes asked. "We all said that we wanted you and Brett to have a baby, remember?" Quinn said with a laugh.

Santana laughed and nodded. "Well you got your wish, Brett and I are having a baby," Santana said again but this time with a lot more happiness in her voice. It felt weird to finally say it out loud and in front of more than just her doctor. "How far along are you?" Quinn asked. "Only 7 weeks" San replied. "Are you excited?" Mercedes asked. "At first I was really scared and in denial, with Brett being gone and everything but then I really thought about it. I've always wanted this in general. Then he came into my life, I wouldn't want a baby with anyone else, so to answer your question, yes, I am really excited" Santana relieved. Both Mercedes and Quinn couldn't help but smile really big.

"I knew it," Mercedes said. Quinn scoffed and Santana laughed. "No you didn't," Quinn said back. "Yes, I did. I knew something was up when she didn't want to drink or eat sushi that day. Plus I told you that her skin has this glow to it" Mercedes explained. "My skin is glowing?" Santana asked. "I will admit she did say that at the bar yesterday. She told me to remind her to ask her what moisturizer you use" Quinn admitted. "My moisturizer is an occupied uterus, you want one?" Santana asked. "Nope, I think I'll stick to being the cool aunt for now" Mercedes quickly said. The girls laughed.

"I am guessing that Brett doesn't know?" Quinn asked. Santana signed, "No I found out the day he left for his mission. I had just talked to him like an hour before so I thought I might be able to still get him but it was too late." she explained. "You know that Brett is going to be over the moon right?" Mercedes asked. "You really think he is going to be happy?" San asked. Both Mercedes and Quinn nodded. "Brett has always said that he only wants to have a baby with you" Quinn reminded her. "He did say that," San said. She let her mind wander back to her handsome soldier. She pictured telling him. His smile would spread across his face and Santana knew he would immediately pick her up. Brett always likes to have her in his arms. Too bad she knows that it will never happen because there is no way he is going to come home that soon.

"What is wrong San?" Mercedes asked. She watched how her friend went from happy to sad in a matter of seconds. "Brett deserves better than this. He deserves some big reveal and to be here to go to my doctor's appointment but he can't. I don't even know where he is to send a cute package, I was just planning on telling him on the phone" Santana revealed. Quinn reached out and grabbed her best friend's hand. "I agree with you but you can't focus on that. You are having a baby and Brett is doing what he needs to do to get home to be with you." She said, "Brett definitely doesn't care about some big reveal. All he wants is you and that baby happy and healthy" Mercedes added. Santana nodded. Her friends were right.

"Do you want to talk about what happened with your dad?" Mercedes asked. Santana dropped Quinn's hand to wipe the tears that were falling slowly from her eyes. "I can't believe he did that," San said. "My father has always wanted me to have children. A part of me assumed that he would be excited but I guess I was wrong" she said. "I knew your dad was temperamental but I did not think he was capable of that" Quinn admitted. "I wanted to hit him so badly," Mercedes confessed, which made Santana laugh a little. "He actually just went into my medical record, that breaks a shit ton of laws," San said.

"I am not that shocked. You know your dad loves to be in control and since your doctor wouldn't talk he needed to take matters into his own hands" Quinn said. "I know but to come in here and reveal that in front of everyone, that is just so low," Santana said. "If your dad didn't come in here were you going to tell us?" Mercedes asked. Santana looked taken back by the question, "Of course I was going to tell everyone but I wanted to tell Brett first" she admitted. "I am sorry you didn't get to," Quinn said. "I am relieved that you guys know but I just wanted it on my terms you know?" San said. Her friends nodded, "that makes total sense" Mercedes said.

Santana looked at her friends. She has been friends with them for so long that she feels like she knows them like the back of her hand. "I can tell that you guys want to know more," San said. Both Quinn and Mercedes tried to convince her that they were okay but Santana wasn't falling for it. "You have questions, now is the time to ask," Santana said. The two girls looked between each other before Quinn spoke. "Was what you said about the boob job true?" she asked. Santana scoffed and laughed. " Completely true. He only paid and let me get it because successful men want women with a nice rack." Santana explained. "That is disgusting," Mercedes said, she just couldn't stop herself. "I knew he would let me get one if I brought it up," San said. "Do not defend that man" Mercedes quickly said. "You know I support your choices and if you wanted a boob job now then I would even bring you but you were a child Santana," Quinn said. "No one should feel like they need it so young" Mercedes added. Santana slowly shook her head. She never really thought about it. But they were completely right. She was just a kid whose parents basically showed her that guys only care about looks. "You deserve a guy who likes you for you," Quinn said. "Just think Brett didn't even realize that you had a boob job" Mercedes pointed out, making Santana laugh. "Brett would love you even if you didn't have a boob job, that is a good guy" Cedes said. Santana smiled, "he is a good guy" she whispered.

The silence that followed was comfortable, for once in the last week Santana felt calm. "I am sorry that you guys had to witness that with my father" Santana exclaimed. "Do not apologize for that man. We are sorry that he is your father" Mercedes said, making the Latina laugh. "Do you want to go back out there?" Quinn asked. Santana nodded. She got off the bed and looked into the mirror. She grabbed her makeup and tried to make herself more presentable. "Nobody cares that you were crying" Quinn pointed out. "I know but I care, just give me a second," Santana said. After a few minutes, she looked as best as she could. Her eyes were still glossy but there is nothing to fix that. "Okay, let's go," Santana said. The three girls walked about out into the living room.

Puck, Finn, and Mike were on the couch while Rachel, Tina, and Kurt were near the dining table. Everyone stopped their conversation and looked at the Latina when she entered the room. Santana took a breath before speaking. "I know that what just happened was a lot to take in. I am sorry that you guys had to witness all of that," she said. Santana could tell that everyone in the room couldn't care less about her father, they all had other things they wanted to ask about.

"What he said was true as you could tell. I am pregnant" Santana announced. She was trying to gauge their reactions but her friends were not clueing her in on anything. "Is it Brett's?" Puck asked. Santana rolled her eyes, "of course it's Brett's" she replied. "Is this a good thing?" Kurt asked. Santana giggled and smiled, "it's a great thing" she responded. Everyone in the room breathed a sigh of relief. "We are having a baby!" Puck yelled getting up while people cheered. He walked over and pulled Santana into a hug, "congrats Satan" he said.

Everyone was smiling and lining up to congratulate her. Tina hugged Santana tightly. Then Rachel walked up and Santana saw her eyes were glossy. "What's wrong, hobbit?" San asked. "I am just so happy for you. Your father tried to ruin all of this but this is a pretty great day. You are going to be an amazing mom Santana." Rachel said. Santana couldn't believe how much Rachel's words affected her. "Thanks, Rachel," she said. Santana was the one who pulled her into a hug, "it means a lot" She said. Rachel tightened her grip, "you're welcome" she replied.
