Fameshipping (Otogi Ryuji/Wong Vivian)

. . .

"Hang on I'm almost done…hold still…oops, oops, sorry—there!"

Otogi leaned back from Vivian's face, eye liner still poised in one hand. He thought he had messed up that line but—nah, that looked fine.

"Wanna check it?" he said, reaching back for the hand mirror.

Her eyes fluttered open and she took the offered hand mirror, twisting and tilting her face around.

"Damn," she said, looking impressed. "You're good at this."

"What, my perfect winged eyeliner wasn't enough convincing for you?" he said.

"Doing it on yourself and doing it on someone else is a totally different ball game," she said with a roll of her eyes and a laugh.

She set the mirror aside, standing up and brushing some imaginary dust off of the edge of her dress.

"All right, how do I look overall? Don't lie to save my face, I need this to be perfect."

"I would never lie, my dear," he said, smiling.

He looked her up and down for a moment, leaning down to tug down on the edge of her dress a bit and fix a fold. She was wearing a deep, scarlet red Chinese dress today, with short sleeves and a black outline. The dress itself was velvety and patterned with a flower design of darker and lighter reds that was only visible when the light caught it. He had done her hair a little differently than normal, tied back in a half braid that rested over the rest of her loose, long black hair which had been brushed to shining.

"You look perfect," he announced, clapping his hands. "That red carpet's not going to know what hit it."

She smiled widely in that way she did when he just confirmed what she already knew. Damn, but she was gorgeous, no matter what she was wearing. It must be all that confidence—he loved a woman who knew damn well she was beautiful and didn't need anyone to tell her.

"Damn straight," she said, flicking her hair over her shoulder. "You, on the other hand, need to fix your collar, and your eye liner's gotten smudged. Your turn—in the chair."

He just had to laugh as he obediently sat himself down. Vivian grabbed the makeup kit and leaned in over him.

"We both have to look drop dead gorgeous for the media, so hold still," she said.

"I leave myself in your capable hands."

"Stop flirting," she said, but she took the beat to lean in and kiss him on the nose.

He smiled and managed to catch a brief kiss from her lips before she leaned back, and she rolled her eyes at him.

"Don't smudge that lipstick you worked so hard on," she said. "I don't want it gone until I have a chance to stain it somewhere on you."

He just winked at her and grinned in response to her own grin, then he sat back and let her start to work her magic on him this time.
