Talking about what Buu could do was easy, having them grasp the reality of what he could do was different.

Sure, there had been other majins as time patrollers — from what Bibidi or Babidi or whoever made them it turned out that Majin or Kid Buu had been the final and best product to kill the various Kais — but he wasn't really all that familiar with them even thought he had worked with them on patrols. Plus he didn't see any of the Majin species absorbing any people even if they did actually share some of the abilities and properties of Buu himself.

He wondered if there were other Majin out there simply living life or if Bibidi killed and/or destroyed them once they didn't come out as he wanted.

Either way, Kurai was just tired thinking about it, so Xtrunks decided to fill the rest of the present Z-fighters in.

"Majin Buu is capable of absorbing people and adding their power to his own. However it isn't always a power up for him, if Buu were to absorb someone who was weaker but still of noticeable power, he would actually weaken." Xtrunks had taken over since Kurai didn't seem to want to talk about it, "He also can shrug off insane sorts of wounds and damage with not trouble. He has survived things that would normally kill someone instantly with no remaining damage in half due to his bodies' properties."

"What sort of damage are we talking about?" Trunks inquired.

"He literally got his head blasted off and just pulled a new one out like nothing, had his lower half of his body completely gone to almost instantly regenerate it, and was blown to literal bits and reformed and he was back no worse for wear. If you are strong enough you can beat him into unconsciousness but you need to finish him immediately after so he won't get back up. Only complete disintegration with no scraps left is the only surefire way to kill him otherwise he'll just keep on coming."

Vegeta scoffed, "So we just beat him into paste and then disintegrate him. I don't see why you think it would be any problem for me to destroy him utterly."

Kurai scowled at Vegeta, utterly done with the Saiyan's arrogance and utter apathy about the potential threat Buu was.

He respected Vegeta as a dedicated mentor and valued the prince as a friend, but his pride of letting himself constantly let his opponent power up until he realized that was a mistake was a habit Kurai would not let him create. Goku seemed to have learned from his attitude regarding mercy for everyone from his stint as a dead man in the other world and being unable to help Gohan and Trunks while they nearly died over and over again.

Vegeta hadn't changed much despite his time as a dead man except for realizing how much his family meant to him and how he became much more like the version of him in the Tournament or Power timeline.

So Kurai got up and began listing the series of events in the main timeline.

"If you want to know that badly, I'll give you a brief overview. The very first thing he did when he woke up was nearly kill Gohan and then force you to blow yourself up and that didn't even leave a scratch. After killing Babidi in order to prevent the wizard from sealing him back in the ball for being too disobedient, he went from city to city eating the in habitants. He — miraculously — made friends but they were killed in front of him and he was so furious he split into a good version — the one who joined our side later — and a evil version. They fought each other and the evil one had unfortunately taken most of the power since their separation and ate the other Buu and transformed into a even stronger form and came to the look out where Goten and Trunks were training to hopefully get strong enough to kill him. Piccolo tried to get him to have fun killing more people but he literally committed genocide of every single human in one move and asked for the two to be brought out. Long story short? They couldn't beat him. Gohan then came and got cocky and got them absorbed. Goku came to try to help and Gohan dropped the ball and got absorbed. Then you and Goku tried to fight him and got your ass handed to you until you did a technique to fuse and beat him. Then after you both defused you wanted to fight him one-on-one and Goku could've beaten him if he didn't play around like he tends to do — or wanted the next generation to take care of him of let you get your turn or whatever the hell he does — which was moronic. You got beaten so badly that I hadn't seen you in such a state since what Frieza did to you on Namek. And let's not mention this all happened 'after' you got lucky that you manage to get him to one of his weaker forms before all that. Oh, and Goku only killed him after he blew up The Earth and multiple other planets in an attempt to flush you out until he went to the other world where he began to attack the dead."

There was a horrified silence.

"So forgive me for wanting to make sure you don't under estimate him." Kurai growled, "Because this is my home now, and I am not going to gamble on it. If I have to kill Buu, Babidi, and any other person who wants to take it from me, I will without hesitation."

With that horrifying realization now a benchmark for the level of destruction Buu could be, The Z-fighters were taking this much more seriously. Vegeta even cut back on the arrogance with him having realized that Buu had forced him to blow himself and then beat him bloody later down the line.

Basically he lost twice even if it wasn't same him.

That said, Kurai now had been training exclusively in his Super Saiyan Blue and Super Saiyan Blue Evolution Form in The Hyperbolic Time Chamber, absently wishing he had a more suitable training partner aside from Xtrunks (who even in his Super Saiyan Rage form had trouble keeping up with SSBE for any length of time) or a multiform clone. He spent a year and a half in there, forcing himself to tank hits in that form as well as his base and then using Energy Zone to minimize time he needed to rest and take a break. It was grueling work and hurt constantly but made for some impressive gains in regard to his endurance and maintaining the forms for extended periods and while hurt. Using his knowledge to mix the two timelines that Goku used this form, he had been able to use the concept of the 'Complete Super Saiyan Blue' to make the form much more feasible and now just needed to continue working on Evolution. When he did get the chance, he happily welcomed Xtrunks in for a spar here and there but hid away his godly forms when Vegeta or Goku dropped by for a spar which almost had a few close calls.

He still didn't want them to try the ritual when Beerus wasn't coming anytime soon, the more time they spent training in their base, the more effective a godly transformation would be.

In a rare moment of just wanting to relax without training for an hour or two Kurai mused over what he lost and gained in terms of his life. He had taken a moment to think about the different timelines and the way this timeline had the potential to veer completely off course without major effects on the time stream. He had access to skills and power he may not have had the chance to take advantage of in the Time Nest.

He had healing magic in his arsenal which was going to be great if his friends ever needed a zenkai (though he doubted they wanted to use what was essentially a cheap and quick way to get stronger). Then he had asked Tien to show him his multiform technique — he had planned ahead to make a sparring partner just in case no one wanted to visit while he was in The Hyperbolic Time Chamber — and while he wasn't make more than a single copy to fight with — the first time he tried to make two, the second stood tall for a split second before evaporating into nothingness — Kurai supposed that was just a matter of time and practice. Fighting at a half-power handicap with an opponent with the exact same amount of power was frankly great at beating himself into shape as well as strengthening his body to handle SSBE, but it sucked when the injuries immediately compounded when he deactivated the technique.

But he wasn't just doing this for this world's sake.

Whoever had dragged Broly into this timeline had an agenda, maybe like Fu he was gathering power from disrupting the time stream to make alterations, but conduction experiments by bringing dangerous people willy-nilly from different timelines was not okay. The only reason Broly's relocation to this timeline was sound was because his death was assured and even if he lived, that wouldn't affect the creation of his clone later down the line. If this character intended to keep doing this, The Time Patrol would have to step in eventually; despite the fact that he wasn't technically among their ranks anymore because of his relocation to this new timeline, he had worked hard and was proud of his status. He could still do the job despite the fact that the Supreme Kai of Time and the Elder Kai hadn't contacted him despite him knowing they could as they had dragged Goku into the Time Nest to fight Demigra (according to the patrol logs he had looked into when he was researching Xtrunks' partner). Maybe he could hitch a ride back to the Time Nest if Beerus and Whis were not okay with his possibly-permanent relocation to this timeline (Kurai was stronger than before, but he held no delusions about trying to take on Beerus or Whis, SSBE was more leveling the field rather than gaining an actual advantage to win).

Even if he couldn't he could at least warn them about Zamasu and his future intentions so they could head him off before he stole Goku's body.

If he stole Goku's body, nothing could be assumed these days.

Shaking off the slight feeling of betrayal, he would do what he had to do to protect this world and that meant travel and go down every single avenue of power.

So…

The Shadow Dragon Timeline.

Super Saiyan 4 was something he had never been able to do, he didn't have the time in between his various assignments to go to the Capsule Corporation area Bulma and ask her to recreate the Blutz Wave Generator. With the Time Nest existing a weird sort of subspace where iterations of major figures existed without clashing and somehow after their significant timelines ended, Bulma did know how to make the machine, but didn't bother with it as she was assured of Kurai's ability to defend himself. He had grudgingly relented due to a lack of time, but now he didn't have a way to become a great ape as he didn't have his tail, it had been lost so long ago he barely remembered how he lost it. Also, he didn't exactly know the mechanics behind it other than simply using the A Golden Great Ape Form that only powerful Saiyans had and then condensing the power to transform or however that worked. It was somewhat related to the wrathful aura of Broly before transforming into Super Saiyan Full Power.

He sighed in the bedroom of the chamber and idly lamented the sheer amount of powerful and varied transformations and avenues to increased power that existed in the Saiyan line. There was no one way to power oneself and that led to a lot of wonderful flavors of power but maddeningly diverse way to activate it. Well… he could always just ask Shenron to just grant him the form if that were possible for the dragon to be capable of. The Super Saiyan 4 transformation may have not matched the sheer power of his god forms but the complete erasure of strain that affected all of his Super Saiyan transformations was not something to sneeze at. As it was form that wasn't ritual based as The Super Saiyan God transformation was, Shenron was probably able to grant it.

Though having to rely on Shenron to give that form was a blow his pride as a warrior and as a Saiyan. He shouldn't have to rely on Shenron to give him power, he would only ask how to get his tail back, then he approach Vegeta on how to makes sure it wasn't a handicap, and then he see about how to trigger the Golden Great Ape form and try to control it.

The day of tournament was one of anxiety for a select group of fighters.

"Do you think they will use Yamu and Spopovich again?" Xtrunks murmured quietly, "Things are way too different and we couldn't find the spaceship where it should be, so it was probably obscured my Babidi's magic. Any ideas who they might send?"

"Not really." Kurai replied, scanning the crowd, "We just keep an eye on anyone sporting the Majin symbol on their forehead. We find that person, head him off before he can drain anyone's ki. With the level most of us are at now, Babidi would have not trouble to gather the energy needed to revive Buu immediately."

They had told the assembled Z-fighters to be on the lookout for anyone sporting the Majin symbol and the Supreme Kai for good measure as he was willing to let whoever they chose for the extraction be drained to find Babidi. A quick and subtle scan of the martial artists didn't show any of them with a Majin symbol, but this was a toss up as what could happen. It wasn't like they needed to be here in all actuality, Goku and Vegeta didn't have limited time to finally settle their rivalry. It was a mild shock to see a much older Videl among them and while he did want to meet her and rekindle another friendship, her reputation as a martial artist that had already cemented her opinion of most of the guys around simply wanted to prove she was just a pale imitation of her father. Despite never tapping into her ki, she was not weak and Kurai was very confident in her ability to sweep the entire tournament if they didn't participate.

He felt a sense of loss in that Pan would never be born but frankly he supposed that maybe Gohan, Xtrunks, or Trunks would just find someone sooner or later.

Whatever, if it was meant to happen, it would happen, He had bigger things to worry about than

"So you brought here back to kill Gohan and his friends?" One of them mused, "I guess that's alright since I should get some payback for the me that was here."

"No!" Babidi growled, "I need you to drain their energy using this device! You can kill them after but drain their energy first! I need it to revive Majin Buu!"

"Why should we care about your monster?" The other scoffed, "Find someone else to do it for you, we don't care about it. You should just harvest the vermin humans while we take care of the people who would stop you."

Babidi scowled and raised his hands, "Papara!"

Suddenly the two flinched and clutched at their heads, falling to their knees and screaming in pain as a Majin symbol flashed onto their foreheads. They convulsed violently before their struggles slowly ceased and they slowly got to their feet, a stark black 'M' stretching over their forehead. They stared impassively at Dabura who stood at the ready in case the Majin mind control didn't work but relaxed as the inclined their heads to Babidi in a show of respect.

Babidi began to cackle at the two new tools in his arsenal.

"I have to say…" Dabura drawled, eyeing the fighters that his demonic relative had brought over, "That's quite the unique ability you have, I wouldn't have thought it possible to fashion a ring made of distorted time energy."

"A true time ring is a heavily guarded artifact of the Kais, but a containing distorted energy before the Time Patrol came to fix the alteration was easy. Now this facsimile has enough power and essence to replicate most of the feats without the limits of the making sure to flow of time." Fuhai chuckled, toying with purple ring on his finger, "I find it fascinating to see what the heroes of this world will do with situations never even considered. Just to see the outcome is more than enough fun for me."

"If you say so…" Dabura shrugged.

'Plus, with Babidi controlling you, I don't have to worry about you trying to revive the Demon Realm or killing me for the ring…' Fuhai mused in his head.

Kurai opted to sit in the stands with the family of his friends, watching the Junior division underway while stretching out with his senses to see if he could sense any danger. Without Kid Trunks to fight Goten, it was pretty boring to see Goten respectfully but quickly tear through the tournament, honestly he wondered if he would try to sneak into the adult bracket without Trunks. It was nice to see Chichi and Bulma happily cheer on Goten, but he saw the mother of Idasa and Ikose and knew that she would not take the defeat of her sons kindly (He grimaced at how she was willing to give up Trunks and Bulma to assuage her wounded pride). He supposed it was a good thing that Goku's family lived in relative anonymity as opposed to Vegeta's, if and when Babidi came to trying to find them, the lady wouldn't just blabber it out since she wouldn't know. And much like last time, Bulma kept goading the prideful woman which led to Chichi knocking her out with a swift punch to the face.

Kurai laughed just as two figures appeared in the sky.

Their hands glowed with Ki and Kurai was moving.
