Once they were back home, Brick and Boomer sat down to wait for whatever Butch was going to make, both looking tired and mildly annoyed. How much longer would Butch keep them waiting?
"You better make something edible, you idiot!" Brick exclaimed to Butch, who was in the other room cooking.
"I don't mind Butch trying to cook, but... Why can he buy stuff without you yelling at him? The times I did that you wouldn't stop nagging me all day," asked Boomer as he looked at his brother sideways.
"What? That's because Butch had never come up with anything like that until today," said Brick.
"But that doesn't change that Butch bought things...!"
"Who cares? I just want to eat something..." Brick explained as he was clearly irritated by his stomach growling. "Butch, hurry up or I might end up eating Boomer!"
"Yes, hurry up!" exclaimed Boomer as he then realized what his brother had said seconds later. "Huh?"
"Boomer, I'm not in the mood for your stupidity, so you better not say anything," said Brick. Boomer was silent, though he couldn't help but frown in mild annoyance.
"I'm coming, I'm coming! You really have no patience," said Butch as he returned carrying a plate of pancakes. Brick and Boomer looked at him with interest.
"Says the one with the tick in his eye" said Brick. "That better not make me go to the bathroom or I'll make your face remember my fist"
"Yeah, yeah. You'll see you won't be able to stop eating them!" Butch said, sounding proud. The black-haired boy placed the pancakes on the middle of the table and then took a seat.
Without saying anything else, Boomer began to eat them, while Brick looked at the plate, still not quite sure.
"Come on, I'm sure your hunger is bigger than your fear of food poisoning," said Butch. Brick looked at Butch for a moment before giving in to then smear some butter on his pancake along with maple syrup.
"They are so good!" exclaimed Boomer still with food in his mouth, he looked extremely happy.
"Hahah, see? I knew they would be good" said Butch as he looked at Brick and waited for him to say something. Brick noticed his stare, so, he finally gave up and decided to express his feelings.
"I guess they're not so bad," said the red-eyed after having a bite. Butch smiled from ear to ear as soon as he heard those words, hearing that had left him enjoying his food more.
"Butch, you should cook more often... although I still think that's a girl thing," said Boomer. Butch nodded as he chewed.
"You bet I will! I don't know what else I can cook, but... I think it's kind of fun," Butch said as he continued to eat. Brick and Boomer looked at each other looking surprised by that. Fun? Really?
"But, Butch-" Boomer tried to say something just to be interrupted by the black haired.
"And since I cooked, it's your turn to do the dishes," said Butch. Brick and Boomer raised an eyebrow expressing their confusion.
"That's right" Butch said without further explanation. The other two watched him finish his meal to then take his plates to the kitchen before sitting once more.
"Butch, you're crazy if you think we're going to wash... We don't do that!" said Brick. Boomer nodded.
"I just like destroying things!" exclaimed the blond. Butch shrugged as he heard them.
"Not that I particularly care if the kitchen is dirty or anything, but if you want me to cook more things then you better wash the dishes," said the black haired. Noticing their baffled expressions, Butch decided to explain. "I don't feel like cooking when I see dishes in the sink... so I don't want any dishes to be there or I won't cook at all"
"We can always just steal the food..." said Boomer as he looked away. "It's not like I'm dying for you to cook something for me or anything"
"That's right, idiot, we're not washing anything," said Brick. Butch looked away and smiled slightly. "Why are you smiling?"
"Oh, no, it's nothing. You're right, why wash? You can keep the mess in the kitchen, I don't think it matters anyway," Butch said, seeming indifferent. Brick didn't understand. Why was he suddenly talking like that?
"You were acting really weird anyway, Butch. Thanks for the pancakes, but I don't want to wash the dishes" said Boomer.
"Sure, just so you know... I'm not going to do any cooking until the dishes are done, no matter what" said Butch as he left the table to walk into the TV room that had just been remodeled by Mojo Jojo.
Without answering that, Boomer and Brick got up from the table and left their dishes on it without much concern for leaving the mess. Both boys approached Butch and sat next to him, curious about what he would like to watch at this hour.
"Hey, don't you think it's a little early for you to be watching TV?" said Brick.
"Not really," replied Butch.
"Let's go blow up some buildings!" exclaimed Brick.
"And paint walls!" added Boomer. Both children looked at him with excitement; however, Butch did not respond to these suggestions.
After a few seconds of silence, the children noticed that Butch was watching the cooking channel.
"Butch... I know you're going through something that's not very understandable... but watching the cooking channel at this hour can't be right" said Brick. "Didn't you say you wouldn't cook anymore?
"That's true for now, but I never said I wasn't interested," said Butch. "I want to see if there's anything I can do."
"Butch... Did something happen to you?" asked Boomer.
"No," replied the black-haired simply.
"Did someone threaten you?"
"No"
"Have you been brainwashed?"
"No"
"Did someone clone you?"
"Boomer, stop! You are not letting me listen to what they're saying" Butch said as he turned to shut him up to then watch the cooking channel.
"Then I guess you won't want to go anywhere" said Brick. Butch just shook his head. "Okay... Boomer, come with me."
"Oh? So we're leaving Butch?" asked Boomer as he stood up and followed Brick.
"We can't do anything, you know how stubborn he can be," said Brick. "It must be a today thing, I'm sure he'll be back to normal by tomorrow"
"Hmm... I hope so" said Boomer as he looked at Butch as they left. Apparently he was serious about staying and watching TV.
The blond followed his brother back to town, he was flying behind him while lost in thought just as how he often did.
"I wonder if it was right to leave Butch... Do you think he's sick?"
"Nah, he's just a moron with random ideas, it's best to just play along until he gets over it" explained Brick. Boomer wasn't too sure about that.
"I don't understand... What makes it different from something I...?" Boomer tried to ask before Brick interrupted him.
"Boomer, stop comparing yourself! You're both idiots if that's what you want me to confirm, not that I don't think badly of the things Butch does; I just think it's a headache to try and reason with him"
"Hmm..."
"He's never still, he's always thinking of new things to do and he's usually bored after doing them... so I think it's better to just let it be, it'll pass," said Brick.
"Well, I don't think it's so bad that he cooks... even though I still think it's a girl's thing."
"More than the cooking, I'm worried he'll lose the desire to destroy and vandalize things" said Brick. Boomer was concerned about that suggestion.
"What? If that were to happen... Butch would become a girl!" exclaimed Boomer, somewhat upset. Brick looked at him a bit jaded. Where did he get that conclusion?
"I won't deny that that would be very girly of him, but it's not like he'd really become one. I would just.. start being disgusted at his behavior."
"Yes... I don't want Butch to become a girl..."
"Boomer! I told you that wouldn't happen! Stop being so...!" Before he could finish this, Brick heard a roar behind him.
"Ah, a monster," Boomer simply said. Brick turned to look at the creature behind him and smiled maliciously.
"Well, I think we could have some fun busting this thing's face," said Brick as he made a fist.
"Although... wouldn't we be doing something good then?" asked Boomer. Brick sighed.
"Good... bad... What does it matter? I just think beating up this monster sounds like fun," said Brick. "We can go destroy some buildings later"
"Alright, that sounds like fun!" exclaimed Boomer as he went ahead to start punching the monster. Brick followed Boomer with no intention of letting him take the credit for beating it.
After a brief time of thrashing it, the boys heard a voice that was somewhat familiar and not at all pleasant to their ears.
"Hey, stop right there!" exclaimed Blossom as she saw the boys beating the monster. Boomer stopped when he heard her, which caused Brick to punch him on the face for it.
"Don't stop! Why do you care for what she says?" said Brick to Boomer, who was rubbing his cheek for the blow.
"Go away, you fools! This monster is ours!" exclaimed Buttercup to the two who looked back at her.
"Well, well... What do we have here? Looks like the flowerpuffs came to ruin our fun," said Brick. Boomer frowned at the thought of what Buttercup had said.
"It doesn't have your name written on it anywhere!" exclaimed Boomer.
"It is our responsibility to deal with the monsters that terrorize the city!" exclaimed Bubbles.
"What? What nonsense are you talking about? You should be grateful that we felt like hitting this thing" explained Brick. "Or are you too stupid to not see that?"
Blossom kept thinking about this, she had to admit Brick was right, but... she didn't like it, she didn't like that they were doing something like this. They couldn't mean well.
"And you think we're gonna believe that you're actually doing something for the city? You're the bad guys!" exclaimed Bubbles. Brick was speechless at this and rolled his eyes instead.
"Ugh, this one's just as stupid as Boomer" said Brick, not happy.
"Yes!" exclaimed Boomer before he understood what he had said. "Hey!"
Buttercup ignored what they were saying to express what she had noticed right then.
"Hey... Where's the other fool? Didn't he come with you?" Buttercup asked out of the blue. Brick looked away in irritation, did she have to remind him of that right now?
"That's none of your business, stupid g...,"
"Butch stayed home to watch the cooking channel" Boomer simply said. The three girls were very confused by that comment.
"Boomer..." muttered Brick as he couldn't understand how his brother could have such a big mouth.
"What the...?" The three girls were stunned to hear such a statement.
"Don't believe him, girls! I'm sure they're planning something," said Blossom. Buttercup nodded.
"They're probably planning to ambush us!" exclaimed Buttercup.
"You should make up something more believable!" exclaimed Bubbles. Boomer was silent for a few seconds before he spoke.
"But I'm not...!" Brick hit him again to shut him up. He was grateful that even they couldn't believe what Butch was doing, he wouldn't have believed that if it wasn't for what had already happened. Without further ado, he decided to do something to save his absent brother's pride.
"Boomer, stop spitting nonsense!" exclaimed Brick pretending to be angry at him, he then looked at the girls. "Where was I? Oh, yeah... Find your own monster, we found this one!"
"No! You get lost!" the three girls exclaimed at the same time.
"I'll put it this way, either you let us kick this monster's ass... or you let us kick your ass" said Brick. Blossom wasn't surprised.
"Maybe I'd take your threat more seriously if it weren't for your brother staying home to cook" said Blossom as she gave him a mocking look. Brick looked at her in disbelief as he thought about hitting Boomer again for giving them something to attack with.
"The two of us are enough to destroy you, in fact, I alone am enough" said Brick.
"Um, hey..." Bubbles murmured as she watched the monster continue its destruction of the city. Seeing that Brick and Blossom were still arguing, she tried to get their attention "Hey!"
"What do you want?!" both Brick and Blossom exclaimed.
"The monster is destroying the city! Stop fighting!" exclaimed Bubbles. Blossom seemed to take a hit of reality at that moment.
"Ah!" exclaimed Blossom before looking at Brick. "You just wasted our time!"
"Sure, if it'll let you sleep at night," replied Brick before looking at Boomer. "There's no point in doing these stupid girls a favor, let's find something else to do."
"All right!" exclaimed Boomer just before Brick flew away. Bubbles looked at Boomer with curiosity, which made the boy turn to see her. "What?"
"Is it true that Butch stayed behind to watch a cooking channel?" asked the blonde. Boomer thought about the question.
"Well..."
"Boomer! Come here, you dumbass!" he heard Brick yell from afar. Boomer turned to see him and immediately left without telling Bubbles anything more.
Once they left, Brick turned to see Boomer in irritation. Boomer didn't understand his brother's look. Did he have anything to say?
"What?"
"Why did you tell them about Butch? We barely understood it, it's okay for us to tease him... but not them, it's none of their business," said Brick. Boomer thought about it and slightly nodded.
"That's true... I'm sorry," said Boomer. Brick hit him when he heard the apology, which left Boomer confused and somewhat upset. "Hey! What was that for?!"
"No reason, you just irritate me," said Brick. "Anyway, let's go see what we can destroy."
"Okay..." mumbled Boomer, still a little upset about the hit.
xXxXxXxXx
After spending the day outside destroying windows, buildings, graffitiing walls and creating as much havoc as they could think of, they finally returned to Mojo's house, feeling they had done enough for the day.
"Butch, we're back, you idiot!" exclaimed Brick as he approached the TV room where Butch was lying asleep. "Ah?"
"Looks like he fell asleep..." mumbled Boomer. "Ahhh... I'm hungry."
"That's right, I wonder if Butch has cooked anything for him," said Brick as he checked the kitchen. "I'm sure we can grab whatever's left over..."
"You found something?!" exclaimed Boomer as he heard nothing else after that. After a few seconds, Brick responded.
"No! There's nothing!" exclaimed Brick before returning to Boomer's side. "It seems like he meant it when he said he wouldn't do anything if we didn't wash the dishes"
"So he hasn't eaten either?"
"I guess not."
"Hmm... I'm tired enough to go out and rob a store, how about we do the dishes so Butch..."
"Boomer! Don't be stupid!"
"Ah? Now why?" asked Boomer as he pouted.
"Are you really going to do the dishes? Will you do just as Butch asked?" asked Brick.
"Well... like I said, I'm tired and it doesn't sound bad to have Butch cook," said Boomer.
"But you said you didn't want to!" exclaimed Brick. Boomer was thinking about it.
"I still don't want to... but I'm willing to do it if Butch will make me food," said Boomer with a smile. "Aren't you curious about what he might do? We can always make fun of him if his food tastes bad"
"Hmm... well, I guess that can be fun... but washing the dishes is..." said Brick as he didn't like the idea.
"Oh, come on, let's do it for Butch. It's not like we have to do the dishes everywhere we go or anything," said Boomer. Brick frowned at that, yet, he heard his own stomach growl.
"Okay, I'll give in, but it's only because I'm hungry and nothing else," said Brick. "I can't believe Butch is getting away with this."
"I guess he was right to wait patiently," said Boomer as he headed to the kitchen.
"Which is very strange of him" said Brick. "But you better not go around saying we did the dishes, you don't want them to make fun of us"
"Ah... right, I'll be sure not to mention anything," said Boomer as he looked at the plates. "So... this..."
"What? Don't tell me you're so stupid you don't even know how to wash the dishes" said Brick. Boomer looked at him looking lost. "You obviously run them through the water to wash them!"
"Oh, right, right, let's do that then," said Boomer as he happily ran the dishes through the water. Brick sighed and went on to hand the dishes to Boomer for him to rinse.
After a while, the children finally finished and headed to where their brother was sleeping. Brick smiled maliciously and then yelled as loud as he could.
"Butch! Wake up and feed us!" exclaimed Brick. Butch opened his eyes a bit startled, which caused him to hit Brick in response.
"What? What?" Butch looked around and realized his brothers were demanding food. "Ah... I told you I'm not cooking anything until you wash the dishes."
"We already washed the dishes," said Boomer. Butch raised an eyebrow. But what kind of obvious lie was that?
"Sure..." muttered the black haired without believing a word of it.
"Then come and see, if you don't believe us at least you'll have to believe it if you see it," said Brick. Butch stood up curiously and walked to the kitchen, where he noticed that the pans were clean as well as the dishes.
"I can't believe this..." said Butch as he approached the dishes and examined them.
"We didn't want to, but we're really too tired to go back to-"
"They're not clean," Butch said as he interrupted Brick. Brick was quietly listening to him. What did he mean by them not being clean?
"What?! What do you mean, they're not clean? Do you want me to hit you?!" Brick exclaimed to his green-eyed brother.
"It's not a lie, look" said Butch as he showed them the dishes with food scraps, not very visible but still there anyway.
"So? What does it matter? The water stream took most of it" Brick said. "Don't be a girl"
"Yes! Don't be a girl!" repeated Boomer. Brick looked at Boomer wearily and only sighed. Butch looked at them with disgust. What did they say?
"The water stream...? Hey, you didn't use soap?" Butch asked. The other two were silent. "There's a sponge for washing the dishes with soap... Didn't you use it?"
"Ah... so that's why that was there..." said Boomer. Butch was stunned for a moment before he let out a massive laugh that lasted a couple of minutes.
"Stop laughing, you idiot!" exclaimed Brick without understanding what was so funny. Butch tried to calm down; however, the laughter continued as he tried to explain.
"I expected it from Boomer, Brick... but you..." said Butch as he covered his face and continued to laugh. "I didn't think you could be such a dunce."
"Eh...?" murmured Brick as he felt his face warm with shame. Why was he making fun of him? He had to stop!
"I'm not a dunce! You and Boomer are!" exclaimed Brick as he didn't know how to defend himself. Butch took a deep breath in an attempt to calm down, waited a few seconds, but the moment he saw Brick again; he couldn't help but laugh out loud.
"I can't... ah, stop... ah, ah... My ribs hurt..." said Butch as he lay on the floor laughing. Brick frowned in irritation and finally kicked him into the wall.
"That's not funny, shut up already!" exclaimed Brick to the boy who was getting up after the blow.
"I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I couldn't control myself," said Butch as he approached them again. "The dishes are washed by scrubbing them with the sponge and putting soap on them," the black haired explained, showing them how he put some liquid soap in a bowl of water and then went to wash one of the 'clean' dishes. "Then you rinse them and that's it."
"Ah... so we missed the soap..." said Boomer. Butch nodded.
"So wash them again and I'll cook something for you. I've been looking at a lot of recipes" Butch said. Brick was still embarrassed and upset.
"No, you wash them, you dirtied them anyway" said Brick. Butch noticed this and tried to apologize.
"Haha, I'm sorry for making fun of you like that, to be honest... I didn't know about the soap either until a while ago when I saw it on the cooking channel" said Butch. "But it was something so silly that I thought you would know"
"…" Brick glared at him. How dare he make fun of him like that?
"At least I'm glad you tried to wash the dishes," Butch said as he hovered like he was sitting on something. "But, well, if you think you're not capable of washing them properly, then I'll do it."
"Ugh..." Brick had heard that as an insult, he was basically calling him useless. "Okay, I'll do the dishes again... you won't have anything to complain about this time."
"You just rinsed them, this time you're going to wash them" said Butch. "I'll stay here and make sure that you do"
Boomer and Brick looked at Butch in shared silence, this until Butch smiled at them from ear to ear, an expression which Brick observed without knowing what to say; he then sighed.
"Okay... whatever" said Brick as he turned around determined to start washing the dishes properly.
Butch watched them as they washed the dishes, he was happy that they had listened to him, because he was very hungry as well. It hadn't taken them that long, but one could tell they weren't happy about having to do that.
"See, it wasn't that hard!" exclaimed Butch as he found the sight of his brothers doing something other than destroying things funny.
"Well, you better make something good to eat" said Brick in response. Without saying it, he was still embarrassed about earlier. Butch nodded.
"I'll have to go buy some things to cook with, though," Butch said. The kids raised an eyebrow at that.
"What...? And why didn't you go while we were washing the dishes?" asked Boomer.
"I couldn't leave, I had to make sure you would wash them properly, after all... you didn't know that soap was necessary" Butch said mockingly, although, at the sound of a slight grunt from Brick, he changed the subject. "So I'll be going now, I won't take long."
As he said this, Butch rushed out the window, since he had been confident that his brothers would give in, he already had the money with him to go for ingredients.
"Ah..." sighed Brick again as he walked over to the couch and let himself drop on it.
"You're sighing too much."
"How observant" Brick said as he looked up at the ceiling. Boomer sat down next to Brick and followed his gaze to the ceiling.
"I was very surprised that you actually did the dishes, I didn't think you would," said Boomer. Brick was silent for a few seconds as he remembered his other brother teasing him.
"Neither did I."
"Then why did you do it?"
"I don't know."
"So you did it just because you wanted to?"
"No. I didn't want to."
"But you did, Brick."
"Boomer, stop being annoying" Brick said as he frowned. Boomer looked at him curiously. What was bothering him? The blond approached him and looked directly into his eyes.
"Brick, did you just want to please him?" asked Boomer.
"Huh?"
"I thought you just wanted to see him happy" Boomer simply said. Brick was speechless at what Boomer had said, this, until he kicked him without moving much from where he was.
"I don't care in the least about seeing him happy so I have no reason to listen to him!" exclaimed the red haired right after.
"Really?"
"Yes, I have no reason to lie"
"Hmm..." Boomer murmured as he curled his lips into a small smile and looked away. "I think this is a rare moment where I can see a different side than the one you always show."
With no response, Brick just threw one of the cushions at him as hard as he could.
"Stop messing around, ding-dong, I don't feel anything special towards you two so don't start with your bullshit!" the boy exclaimed really angry. Boomer nodded and smiled.
"I never said anything about that but mhm, I think that too, Brick."
"No, that's not true! I wouldn't even care if you two died! Do you know what I mean?!"
"I do understand... you're a little girl at heart," Boomer said. Brick, again, threw another cushion at him; however, this time he bombarded him with as many as he could just to keep him quiet.
"Look who's talking, you idiot! You're the girliest of the three, if not the dumbest!"
"Mhm" nodded Boomer without taking his comment seriously. It seemed that Brick was simply embarrassed for what he had said before.
"Ugh!" Brick grunted as he watched his brother ignore him, he was so irritated that he took one of the cushions and pushed it down against his face. "Drop dead! Drop dead already!"
"Hmph...!" Boomer tried to remove the cushion, he tried while his brother kept pressing it with the intention of suffocating him.
"Just die!" exclaimed Brick as he pressed harder, this, until he saw his brother stop moving. The red haired softened his grip when he saw this and raised an eyebrow. "Are you dead already? Ha! Is it that easy to kill you?"
With no response, Brick was left in awkward silence. Was he really dead?
"Boomer?" asked Brick as he lifted the cushion, only to have Boomer jump him to press the cushion against his face instead.
"Ha! You fell for it! I'll get back at you for that!" exclaimed Boomer as he did the same thing the other one had done, he was having a lot of fun since he only saw it as a game. "I knew you wouldn't resist and would want to see if I was still alive!" he explained as his brother tried to get him off so he could breathe.
Suddenly, Brick managed to get the cushion off and instead ended up on top of Boomer in an attempt to stop the so-called game.
"Brick... admit it already, you care about us, don't you?" Boomer asked Brick, who simply frowned at the question. Did he care? It wasn't something he would have thought of before.
Brick slowly moved away from Boomer and instead went back to lie on the couch. Boomer looked at him silently for the next few minutes, until the red haired decided to talk.
"It's not something I've ever considered before, and I think it's one of the stupidest questions you've ever asked"
"But... I noticed you changed when you saw Butch laughing, doesn't that mean that you felt something when you saw him happy?"
"Boomer, stop making mindless observations and conclusions. You make me want to hit you again."
"Well... at least I think it's not that bad" said Boomer as he leaned against the couch.
"What? Making mindless observations? Or the part where I want to hit you again?"
"I don't mind thinking that you care about us... I don't consider that a bad thing."
"Ahhh... say what you want, you're really tiring me out" said Brick as he returned to stare at the ceiling. "I'm serious when I say that I don't care if you two die. That's not my problem."
"Is it so bad for you to admit it?"
"Boomer, shut up, stop being a nuisance just because Butch hasn't come back."
"Personally, I don't know what I would do if I wasn't with you guys" said the blond. Brick sighed when he heard that.
"I know you're dying for me to prove you right, but I won't, I don't care if one day I just wake up and you two are gone" said Brick before laughing briefly. "I think it would even give me some peace."
"Yeah... yeah... I guess I wouldn't miss the frequent punching in the face" mentioned Boomer.
"And I wouldn't miss every ridiculous thing that comes out of your mouth," replied Brick as he closed his eyes.
"Although I might miss Butch cooking for us, I know he just made us breakfast today... but I like not having to make it myself" explained Boomer.
"Right... I wouldn't miss having to do the dishes" said Brick. Boomer pondered this.
"But even if we weren't here... it would mean you'd have to wash them anyway, right? And cook for yourself since Butch wouldn't be around" said Boomer.
"Hm, that's right... I guess I can always steal something to eat."
"Brick... Do you really think you'd be okay without us?"
"Yeah. Less weight on my back wouldn't hurt" Brick said. "I'd be happy without you guys, I wouldn't have to get mad about nonsense all the time."
"So you get mad about nonsense?"
"...yes, you two are that nonsense"
Time passed without them noticing, the questions they asked took a minute to answer, even though they thought it was a fluid conversation... it was actually a slower one with a more contemplative air.
"Oh. And tell me... what would be the first thing you'd do if we were gone?"
"You're taking this too seriously, why are you asking so much?" Brick asked while arching a brow.
"I thought you were serious, was I wrong? I was just curious what you would do if it happened."
"No... you weren't wrong, I'm serious. Well... I honestly don't know, it has to happen for me to know, I'm sure I would know what to do if that happened" explained Brick.
"Haha, if that happened I'm sure Brick would go crazy" answered Butch suddenly. Brick and Boomer looked at him lazily, oh, so he was back.
"Crazy? Why would I go crazy without you?"
"Simple, you wouldn't have anyone to push around. Not that I'm complaining about that either, haha," said Butch.
"Butch, make yourself useful and start cooking already" said Brick. Butch laughed in response.
"See? I'm sure you'd be bored if you had no one to boss around" Butch replied. "Well, I'll make something to eat, you guys wait here."
"Well, I guess he's got a good point. It's no fun talking to myself" Brick said.
"So you like talking to us?" asked Boomer. Brick just smacked him lightly with one of the cushions he had within reach.
