Enjoy the second chapter.
Iruma opened his eyes as he slowly sat up and looked around. His eyes widened as he jumped back and began hyperventilating, "Last night wasn't a dream!" the door opened and Iruma looked up to see Sullivan and Opera stepping into the room, "Mr. Sul…I mean grandpa, Opera,"
"Good morning, darling grandson," Sullivan smiled as he stepped over to his adopted grandson, "You should get ready. We have a lot to do today. We have to meet up with those demons again and they're going to want to ask you a few questions," Iruma frowned and slowly nodded before the sound of his stomach growling filled the air and his eyes widened.
"I shall go and prepare breakfast right away," Iruma looked at the redhaired demon and Opera shook his head, "I shall prepare a tofu meal for you, young sir," Iruma nodded as Opera turned and walked out of the room.
Iruma climbed out of bed and Sullivan smiled at him, "Let's go get ready for today," Iruma hummed and nodded before the two of them walked out of the room.
The six families, along with Sullivan and Iruma sat in a large room, the adults glaring at the blue-haired boy before the male demon with the long red hair spoke, "And what makes you think that adopting this boy as your grandson is legal, Lord Sullivan? He's from another world an-"
"Because if we had sent him back, his parents would continue to torment him, Henri, and even still, he would've found a way to come back here,"
"That sill doesn't make it legal, Lord Sullivan," a woman with medium-length auburn hair spoke, "Like my husband said, he's of a different race entirely, and many demons are going back to basics and wanting to devour humans if they see them an-"
"I doused him with a special perfume last night, Rika, so his secret will remain just that," Sullivan said before looking down at his adopted grandson and shook his head, "Now we should try to figure out how he keeps coming back here and why only when your daughters are together,"
"Grandpa?" Iruma looked up in confusion.
"Right," the demon with short green hair sigh before looking down at the six demonesses and the Changeling and spoke once again, "You kids should go somewhere else and play while we talk and try to figure out why this boy keeps returning an-"
"Because the animals said they're my decided," everyone looked down at Iruma as the young boy shook his head and shrugged his shoulders, "I don't know what that means, but they sensed they were together and something happens and…I'm here,"
"Decided? What do you mean, boy?" Mana questioned, stepping towards him and Iruma shrugged his shoulders again. Mana sighed before she reached up and was about to place her hand on the top of Iruma's head when Iruma jumped back and growled at the woman, "I'm not going to hurt you. I just want to put my hand on your head, like I did yesterday,"
Iruma continued to growl at her when Haruno walked up to him and gently slipped her hand into his and Iruma looked back in confusion as Haruno smiled and shook her head, "It's fine, Iruma, my mom isn't going to hurt you," Iruma studied her face and Haruno sighed, "I promise my mom isn't going to hurt you," Iruma sighed before he looked up at Mana and closed his eyes and Mana carefully placed her hand on the top of his head.
She sighed a moment later before stepping back and shook her head, "There's still that primitive being blocking his thoughts. I can see his memories just fine, but when I try to pry into his thoughts, that being stops me, and it doesn't look friendly,"
"So…what should we do?" the adults pondered for a bit. The adults soon ushered the seven children off as they talked with one another.
The seven walked around outside in silence before Eiko looked at Iruma and broke the silence, "So…Iruma, what did you mean by decided?" Iruma hummed and shrugged his shoulders.
"And why couldn't my mom see your thoughts? What was blocking them?" Haruno questioned.
"I don't know…some of my animals don't like it," Iruma scratched the side of his head, "They thought your mom was invading out privacy and kept our thoughts hiding…I don't know how,"
"O…kay?" Ameri said, a little uneasy, "And Lord Sullivan adopted you?"
"Yeah, grandpa said I don't have to go home to my parents because of what they did," his eyes widened as the six surrounded him, "Problem?"
"Your parents?" Clara tilted her head to the side in confusion, "What did they do, Iruma-kins?"
"Iruma-kins? What?"
"Don't change the subject, Iruma," Kerori narrowed her eyes and puffed out her cheeks, "What did your parents do? Why is Lord Sullivan and our families so hesitant to send you back to the human world?"
Iruma looked away and Elizabetta frowned as she stepped closer to him, "Iruma, what did your parents do to you?"
Iruma looked over his shoulder before he took a deep breath and shook his head, "They're really bad people. I don't want to talk about it," the air between the seven grew silent for several moments.
The adults soon walked up to them and Sullivan picked Iruma up and placed him on his shoulders and he smiled back at him, "Let's go, grandson. We still have much to do today and you can see your little friends later," Iruma hummed and nodded as he waved at the six demonesses as Sullivan walked away.
Haruno frowned as she looked up at her mother, "Mom? Do you know what Iruma's parents did to him?" Mana sighed and nodded as the six looked at her and Haruno's eyes widened, "What did they do? Iruma said they were bad people an-"
"They are bad people, Haruno, and…that's all you need to know right now," Mana patted the top of her daughter's head, "Just don't worry about it, okay?" Haruno moaned and slowly nodded as the six looked up to see Sullivan and Iruma had faded from view.
Okay, this might be the last chapter where they're little kids…enjoy.
