(A/N) Hi

I want to say something quick before you read this chapter, just covering up a few things.

First, I know cheating is not the right thing to do, its horrible but this is just a fanfic and let's face it, we want these two dorks to get together!

Second, no one was drunk so they knew what they were doing! I just wanted to make that clear before I got told off.

Third, again there will be mentions of sexual content but nothing solid. I want to give you small snips of the night throughout the story so I'm not keeping you guys fully in the dark.

Anyways enjoy this chapter...

The sunlight beamed through the bedroom window. The cool wind blew softly over the sheets. Mornings like this were Marinette's favourite.

The soft blanket wrapped around her body, fitting perfectly over all the right places and being just the right tempture.

There was no wonder she couldn't seem to wake herself up in the mornings. Being this comfortable, Marinette could stay in bed forever.

If only forever was an option.

"Marinette!" With a hint of Alya's voice muffled inside her dreams. "Come on girl we are going to be late!"

An annoying banging sound followed soon after, making the bluenette furrow her brows while she still tried to keep her eyes shut.

Nope, this wasn't going to ruin her perfect slumber, it was too comfortable to even move an inch in any direction.

"Wake up, wake up, wake up!" Her friend called out again, followed by more banging.

The bed began to creak with movement, which was strange cause she could of sworn she never gave Alya a key to get into her apartment and lay in her bed and there was no way Tikki was that heavy either.

Until finally the memory of last night hit her all at once.

Suddenly her eyes flew open, blue met with green immediently and Marinette didn't feel as tired as she once was just moments ago.

"Shit!" Adrien swore.

Marinette matched his cruse and flew out of bed, not realising she was very naked in the process. She dragged the sheet from her bed, pulling it off the very naked Adrien as well.

The girl squeaked when she looked over his naked form and managed to fall hard on the ground below, tangled now in her sheets.

Adrien had jumped out of bed and began to put on his jeans, zipping them up as quickly as he could while he searched for his shirt.

Alya must of heard movement because the sound echoed again. "Girl, I know you're in there." She yelled from behind the front door.

They both froze in place, looking at the other wide eyed. If Alya found them in bed together she would have a feild day with giving Marinette shit and that wouldn't be the half of her worries since her best friend also knew of Adrien's engagement to another women.

Oh no! Now Marinette felt sick. She was an awful person, a very awful person! How could she let this happen?

They weren't even drunk, well she knew she wasn't because they only had one beer before she came out about her feelings and made everything awkward.

Adrien didn't seem drunk either, he was very aware of his surroundings, well she thought he was anyways.

Then he kissed her when she tried to apologise and she knew better to stop but she couldn't because it was everything she dreamed it would be.

Oh gosh she was a horrible person!

"Marinette!" Alya yelled again, pulling her away from the memories of it all and back towards the door. "Girl, enough playing around we have to go!"

"C-Coming." The bluenette yelled out in hopes it would buy her some time.

She jumped up and began to get dressed, throwing on whatever clothes she came in contact with.

"Finally you answer! Let me in already!" Alya responded.

"I uhhh..." She looked towards the boy that was frantically going around searching for his shirt. "I'm getting dressed." It was the first thing that popped into her head.

The blonde turn to her, pointing towards his chest in panic. She didn't know what he was going on about but his abs were very distracting.

Awful person! She reminded herself.

He mouthed the word shirt and she finally clicked on, searching around for the garment in question.

"Found it!" Marinette yelled in victory but quickly put her hand over her mouth when she realised what she had just said out loud.

"Found what?" Alya questioned. "Marinette, I've seen you naked before! It wouldn't be the first time."

Marinette went red face at her comment. There was no need to say that out loud so Adrien and her neighbours could hear. Even if Alya didn't know Adrien was in her apartment it still was embarrassing to say the least.

"Okay I'm coming." The bluenette shouted back.

"No!" Adrien protested, panic setting in. "Dont answer!" He tried to whisper, stuggling to throw his shirt over his head.

Marinette looked back at him with a strained look on her face. "I have to or she'll end up breaking down my door!" She whispered back.

Looking around the room, she planned his escape route.

There wasn't much option since she lived on the fifth floor so sneaking him past a well observed Alya was harder than she thought.

It was either put him out on her small balcony just outside of her lounge room or make him hide somewhere in her house.

Knowing Alya, her reporting skills will kick in the moment she came in and question her about her night and blab more embarrassing things out in the open and she wasnt about to let Adrien overhear any of it.

Outside it was!

"Come with me."

Grabbing his hand, Marinette dragged the blonde out of her bedroom and towards the lounge room. Shoving him out onto the small balcony.

If this was different senerio, Marinette would of squeaked when she had touched his hand and butterflies would of fluttered in her tummy but she was on a mission to not let her best friend find out what she had done.

Or let anyone find out for that matter.

"Stay here and keep quiet!" Marinette warned. "Once we go you can leave a few minutes after." She pleaded with Adrien and he nodded in understanding.

She went to shut her sliding door but Adrien grabbed her wrist, stopping her movements. "Marinette." He spoke, worry and sadness in his eyes. "I-I... This..."

He was lost with what to say to her, wanting to tell her everything he was feeling in that moment, to reasurre her that it wasnt a mistake or her fault but nothing was coming out. Nothing sounded right in this moment.

"Can't happen again!" She finished for him. "I'm such a terrible person." She cried and he placed his hand on her bicep and rubbed lightly against her skin.

The touch itself sent off sparks.

"I'm the terrible person Marinette, I'm so sorry!" Adrien told her. "I will talk to you later?"

The bluenette nodded.

"Marinette! This year!" Alya yelled again.

"I have to go." She stated and shut the door, pulling the curtain so it would hide him from her friend.

She wanted to clear this all up with him instead of talking it over later but it was no use while Alya was breathing down her neck to let her in.

Finally the bluenette answered the door and Alya strode passed her without waiting to be formally invited in.

"Took you long enough!" The reporter stated. "I was starting to think you had fallen asleep again."

Marinette giggled while she held the door open. "You ready to go now?" Asking while she took a step towards the exit, trying to leave as soon as possible so Adrien wasn't stuck in the cool air for that long.

The reporter raised her brow and chuckled. "I am but..." Pointing at her outfit the bluenette looked down to see what the big problem was. "Unless you're going to go out with a jaggered stone shirt that has seen better days then I'm cool to leave."

Marinette squeaked and let go of the door, making it hit her shoulder while she tired to cover her chest in panic.

She wasnt going to go out with her pyjama top to have brunch with her best friend. That would be a recipe of a disaster and that was a pun intended.

Stupid Chat Noir rubbing off on her.

"Give me a moment." Without another word she flew to her room and shut the door.

Alya followed her movements and laughed. "Don't be too long." She called out.

Knowing Marinette for over ten years she knew that would be impossible for her to even be on time.

Lucky for Alya she had lied about the time they were meant to be there so she had a little time to spare.

Slowly walking through her small house Alya, stopped just behind her couch, noticing how dark it was with the curtain shut.

It wouldn't hurt to let a bit of sun in, she thought.

Her hand connected with the material of the curtain and began to draw it back right as Marinette made her appearance.

The bluenette's eyes went wide, her hands flung out in front of her in panic, trying to tell her friend to stop but her mouth was too dry to even utter the words.

This was a disaster!

"No, don't!" She managed to squeak.

The curtain pulled back and sun began to beam in the room slowly, it almost felt like slow motion in Marinette's eye.

She wasted no time to sprint and stop her actions fully before too much was revealed but knew as she inched closer it was a lost cause.

"There, doesn't that look better?" Alya turned to her with a smile and immediately Marinette froze and glanced behind her.

The sun was shining and very bright yes but... no Adrien?

Did he fall or possibly climb down? She was on the fifth floor so it would of been hard to get to the ground from that height.

Then she remembered his toned abs. Oh how they fogged up her dirty mind. It would be easy for him to climb down with no troubles with a body like that.

Keep your mind out of the gutter Marinette! You're a terrible person! She scolded herself.

"What are you looking for?" Alya questioned, looking down over the balcony as well.

The bluenette didn't realise she had taken steps out onto the balcony until her friend came beside her.

"Oh umm..." She peeped. Thinking of a quick excuse. "My pot plant was here and now its missing, stupid neighbours cat likes knocking it off."

Not the worst lie she's ever made but its up there with all the rest!

"You're worried about a pot plant?" Alya deadpanned.

She thought the way Marinette was acting was like a person had jumped from her balcony. Not concerned over a little piece of dirt that carried a plant inside.

"Okay well if you're that worried I'll buy you a new one when we get back, we are running late." The reporter grabbed her friend by the shoulders and marched her towards the door, hoping there wouldn't be anymore delays.

Lips sealed gently in a kiss, hands guilded blindly over her skin. Nothing but their breaths were heard, panting and chanting each other's names until they arrived at their peak.

"...ette, Marinette!" Her name was in light pants before it echoed clearer. "Marinette, hello? Are you with me girl?"

The bluenette got out of her memories and back to the present moment, noticing she was staring out into the distance with her fingertips brushing over her lips.

Looking towards her annoyed friend, Marinette sheepishly smile, feeling her cheeks flush pink from being caught while thinking about an intimate moment.

"Sorry? You were saying?"

"Where is your head? Did you leave it back at your apartment? Do I have to go looking for it as well?" The reporter laughed.

"No!" Marinette scoffed. "I just have a lot on my mind." She fired back.

"Mhmm. Yeah sure."

Their dishes came out, making Marinette beam. She didn't think she was hungry until the smell hit her nose and made her tummy rumble.

Alya gagged at the smell, holding back the bile she felt rise up in her throat. This was the punishment she got when she drank too much the night before but she wasnt about to ruin her friends birthday now!

"You okay?" Marinette asked as a fork full of scrambled eggs lingered an inch away from her mouth.

"Yeah." Alya sat back in her chair and took a breath. "Didn't realise I drank more than I realised."

Marinette laughed. "I'm surprised you even got home with how much you drank."

"Good thing I have Nino." They both broke out in a round of laughter. "That poor boy held my hair up for most of the night."

Marinette awed at the moment, even if it wasnt pleasing to her friend. "Nino really cares about you." The bluenette put down her fork and sighed, feeling a bit upset she couldn't share that with someone. "I wish a guy would care about me as much as he did."

Alya startled Marinette when she had placed a reasurring hand on her shoulder. "You know, you could easily have that with Luka since he's back in town."

Marinette scoffed at the thought. There was no way things could get back to the way they once were with the musician, he was still on tour and she... Well, Marinette was still trying to figure out where to go with her life.

Waving it off she she replied. "No, we are just friends."

Alya gripped her hand before Marinette got a chance to settle it down on her lap. The bluenette froze with her movements, watching over her friend as she smirked and eyed her smugly.

"Oh really!" The smirk only grew wider as she turned her palm towards the girl. "Then why do you have Luka's digits written on the palm of your hand?"

Marinette pulled her hand out of her grasp and flushed a shade of red she didn't think was possible on her cheeks.

"H-He wants to catch up." She stuttered.

An eyebrow arched up at that. "Sure and next thing you know you're having a one night stand with him all over again."

"We didn't have a one night stand Alya! We were dating." Marinette fired back.

"Yeah and you broke up pretty much the next day and he went on tour a month later." Alya pointed out.

"W-we just w-wanted different things." She cleared up with a stutter. "It was a mutual decision."

The bluenette grabbed her coffee that was served to her, sipping lightly so she didn't burn her tounge.

"Not after sex." Alya stated. "Come on there's got to be more to that. Did you moan Adrien's name or something?" She joked.

Marinette almost spewed out her coffee across the table hearing the blonde's name being mention in such a way.

Especially after spending the night with him.

"Oh. My. Gosh! You did!?" The reporter gasped.

"No! Oh gosh no! Why would you even think that?" Marinette said flabbergasted. "Why would Adrien's name even be mentioned? He was already living in Milan, I was so over him by then."

"I don't know." Alya leant back in her chair again, taking small sips of her own coffee. "Maybe because that was around the time news came out that Adrien had a girlfriend." Marinette glanced away from Alya, focusing now on her lap. "I know how hard you took it that week, you don't have to hide it now."

Yes that was true but she did have to hide something worse and that now ate at her slowly. Guilt was defiantly not Marinette's friend.

"Can we just drop it?" Marinette snapped. "I broke up with Luka cause he was leaving and I didn't want to hang onto a long distance relationship, it wasn't about Adrien! Nothing about this is about Adrien."

There, she had finally cracked.

"Girl I'm sorry. I just want you to be happy and I know you were happy with Luka." Alya raised her hands in defence. "I was only joking with you."

Marinette finally glanced her way with tears building up in her eyes. "You have nothing to be sorry about, I..."

Can't tell you what's going inside my head and my heart right now. Marinette finished in thought.

Why were things so difficult to express?

She was an awful person a liar, a cheat and worst she dragged her and Adrien's friendship down with it all. There was no going back to friends after this, not if she wanted her heart to hurt even more.

"Hey." Placing her hand over Marinette's she smiled softly. "Why don't you send him a text and start from there, maybe things would be different this time?"
