(A/N) Goodmorning... well it's really early morning for me. (5:30am to be precise)

Sorry I missed last week's posting schedule, I've had a lot going on and I also got lost in writing the reveal chapter lol even though we have a long way to go before it comes to that.

If any of my writing is wrong, spelling wise, please be mindful I'm posting this while I'm at hospital with my son at the crack of dawn so I didn't have the time to go through it properly.

Don't worry I'm fine with writing, it's the only thing keeping me sane right now but I can't stand editing when I have a lot of my mind.

Now enough with that, here we finally reveal who the secret person is that is going to actually be on Marinette's side! I know a few of you have guessed correctly so far...

Enjoy...

"Dupain-Cheng!?" Her name was screeched by the Queen herself, hearing her heels clicked towards the backroom where Marinette was hiding out for her lunch break.

Of course lunch was never an option when she had so much work to be done, so she used that time to finish off pinning the bridesmaid dresses for Alya's wedding in the meantime.

"Yes Chloe It's already done and ready, don't worry!" Marinette replied before the blonde made her appearance. "Just give me a second."

Chloe finally made it to the doorway and immediately her face scrunched up in disgust. She knew this wasn't a proper place to make clothes and Marinette had to make do with what she had but it could at least look a bit nicer in Chloe's opinion.

Fabric was everywhere, dresses were draped over chairs and since she didn't have a proper closet to hang up the clothes she had finished, she ended up using a broom that hung over two shelves so she could at least use the coat hangers and have the clothes off the ground.

Well Marinette wasn't here to impress Chloe by interior looks. She was only worried about impressing her with the designs.

The bluenette took a quick glance at the blonde lingering in her doorway, noticing she was afraid to take a step in.

That wasn't the only thing that caught her eye though. About two dozen red roses were in her grasp, all spread out nicely in a white marble vase.

"You know you didn't need to get me anything. Really." Marinette muffled to Chloe with pins in her mouth.

Although it was a nice thought from the girl who always seem to take and take from the people who always gave to her.

Chloe looked down at the roses in her hands, her blue eyes barely visible behind the flowers and her blonde bangs.

Clicking her tougne in irration she huffed. "What? These aren't from me." She exclaimed. "What do you take me for?"

Marinette tried not to laugh, shaking her head instead to try and hide the smile forming on her lips.

Yep that's Chloe alright, she thought with a small roll of her eyes.

"Then what lucky-" *unlucky* "-guy is treating you to such a gift?" Marinette asked as she went to grab Chloe's dress from the coat hangers in the far corner of the room.

"I was going to ask you the same thing?" The blonde questioned, more dramatic this time.

Marinette stopped what she was doing and turned her way. "They're for me?" She had to ask.

Chloe huffed again. "What did I just say?"

"Sorry." Marinette said, taking hesitate steps towards the flowers and the blonde, afraid it was all just an illusion that was surely going to disappear. "I guess I just... didn't expect to receive... This?"

"Well are you going to grab them or not?" Chloe asked in irration. "I already got forced to walk them here by the stupid mail guy, I'm not walking them to you too!"

Even though they were only two steps away from each other.

The bluenette closed the distance and grabbed them off her hands, placing them on her desk. She looked over the red beauties in awe, not expecting to be treated to such an expensive gift.

This was something Chat Noir would of done for Ladybug back in the day, or even now if he wasn't about to get married. Marinette played with the green leaves at the thought.

"Are you going to read the note?" Chloe asked, drawing Marinette away from the smile she was suddenly forming.

Her head immediately snapped towards the blonde, her eyebrows raised up in a surprised reaction. "Note?" She repeated softly, turning back to the gift to find the said item.

There it was, hidden by the red rose petals and green stems. Marinette's heart sank as she slowly opened up the small folded note away from Chloe's prying eyes.

She had the sneaky suspicion who these flowers could be from, even before the note was open. The words practically burnt into her skin before she read them.

I am so sorry for the way I handled things, can I see you again?A Friend.

It confirmed her suspicions once she finished. If the way the A was neatly curved in running writing wasn't a hint in itself, the friend thing sure gave it away. He was good to keep this hidden by sending her a coded message.

"So?" Chloe said, interrupting Marinette's thoughts. "Who is it from?"

"Luka." Marinette instantly replied, hoping the blonde wouldn't ask anymore questions from there.

"Marinette." Chloe deadpanned. "I wasn't born yesterday! I know that's not from garbage boy!"

Chloe got a bit closer, moving away from the comfort of the doorway and into the room that gave her the chills.

She would have to send a decorator in to deal with the mess when Marinette was away. She couldn't have her making dresses in such a state, especially when the bluenette was working on her own outfits.

Before Chloe could snatch the note from Marinette's hands she had stashed it in her jeans pocket, not paying much attention how it scrunched up once it got shoved in the tight space.

"Seriously! It's no one important." Marinette hurriedly covered herself.

"Do you want me to guess who it is?" Chloe asked and Marinette's face drained in colour.

"No." She peeped slowly.

"Well I know its not from Luka and Nathaniel is Married to Marc. I don't really recall anyone else having a thing for you..."

"Please stop." She begged.

"Its from Adrien isn't it?" The blonde said up front and Marinette swallowed hard. "It wasn't hard to guess." Chloe continued, looking over her nails like she was proud of herself.

"Really it's just a friendly thing..." Marinette started but got interrupted by Chloe straight away.

"Please." She huffed. "I could sense the sexual tension when you two were alone the other night. You guys seriously need to work on hiding it better if you want to convince those half wits you call friends." She said matter of fact, not bothering making eye contact with the girl, her nails seemed more interesting.

Marinette didn't know what to say, her mouth gapped open and close a few times, trying to get any words to come out.

"If you ask me, I think it's good you love sick fools finally done something about it." Chloe said and Marinette's eyes went wide in shock, not expecting her to say that. "It was horrible watching you dance around each other all through lycee. I seriously couldn't stand watching it again!"

"Thanks... I guess?" Marinette peeped, feeling a bit confused and a slight bit uncomfortable she was having this conversationwith Chloe of all people. "But this isn't good!" She continued, sitting down at her desk and running her hands down her face. "I've screwed up a relationship, all because I couldn't keep my mouth shut."

"Well I got to admit, I didn't think you had it in you to be honest." Chloe admitted.

"Great comforting thought!" Marinette barked out a sarcastic laugh.

"No one's married yet! Nothing has been finalised." Chloe snapped.

"I can't do that to Bethany! She has done nothing to me and I've just ruined her life straight up!" Marinette whined, feeling guilty by the second.

This guilt was just eating her alive.

"As much as I hate to say it. Just because you were selfish for once in your life doesn't make you a bad person!" Chloe came over and placed a hesitant hand on her shoulder, trying her best to comfort the bluenette. "Besides, she's not as innocent as you think!"

It was short lived as her hand immediately left that comfort when Marinette faced her with an eyebrow raised. It was very strange for Chloe to show any sign of affection if it wasnt aimed towards herself, but that wasn't the reason for Marinette's reaction.

"It doesn't matter! I still feel that way." She sighed after a minute of silence.

"Well, if you're done sobbing and feeling sorry for yourself you can join me for lunch." Chloe demanded as she walked to the door.

Marinette handed Chloe her dress on the coat hanger and said. "Thanks for the offer but I'm swamped with work! There is no way I can leave now!"

As those words left Marinette's mouth, Chloe snapped her fingers and Sabrina appeared out of no where at her doorway. Had she been there the whole time, listening in on their conversation earlier?

She'd hoped not!

"Sabrina has that covered and I already arranged with your boss." Chloe stated.

"But... how did you-" the words died on her tougne. "-You already knew what the letter said." Marinette grumbled.

Of course Chloe would of love to be in the centre of drama no matter where or who it came from.

"I told you Dupain-Cheng! I wasn't born yesterday!"

"Okay fine!" Marinette grumbled, getting up off her office chair in defeat. "I will join you but not for long! I still have these dresses to fix before Alya's wedding!" As she went to grab her clutch, her eyes caught sight of her phone. "Ahhh, Chloe?" The young blonde women peeped around the corner and hummed. "Can you give me a minute?"

Chloe huffed and rolled her eyes, knowing exactly what she was planning on doing. "Fine! But no longer!" She warned, as she disappeared from her sight. Marinette could then hear her screeching voice, Echoing down the hallway. "Sabrina! The door!"

The bluenette just rolled her eyes and dialed the number on her phone. There was no point in hearing what else that girl had to say after that point in time, she already had an idea.

After a few rings, Adrien picked up with a beaming voice. "Now I know how many roses it takes for you to accept my apology."

Marinette chuckled quietly, but it wasn't the reason she called so her voice got a bit serious after clearing her throat.

Adrien instantly sense this wasn't going to be good. "Marinette?"

"Sorry, the flowers are lovely, its just..."

Biting the edge of her thumb in worry, Marinette looked towards the doorway where Chloe was just moments ago.

A million thoughts were running through her head at once and they all revolved around their affair! If one person knew then what would happen if more found out?

These were things she had to think about being the guardian and Ladybug. She was clearly not thinking straight that this could end in the same disaster or worse!

"What are we doing?" Her voice rasped.

"What do you mean?" Adrien asked back.

"I mean you're getting Married Adrien! Doesn't that mean something to you?" Marinette asked.

She waited for him to answer but all she could hear were one letter words mumbling through the phone, knowing he was trying to give her an explanation.

"Look it's okay, I'm not going to judge you for making a mistake. I'm the one who should of stopped it before it got this far and I know its just as much my fault." Marinette explained, feeling a little relief wash over her. "We can still be friends if you want to and act like none of this happened." She suggested.

"Friends?" Adrien repeated a bit heart broken.

Marinette could feel his pain. She didn't want to break this thing off either but it was best for them and best for Bethany and their future.

Before either of them could peep another word, Sabrina made her appearance at the door and tapped on her wrist where her smart watch sat.

"Sorry, I have to go but we will talk again soon. Okay?"

Without waiting for him to answer she hung up leaving Adrien confused. He wasn't about to give up this easily.

Marinette hesitantly joined Chloe at the table outside of a fancy Cafe that was swamped with people who looked to be well off when it came to money.

This left her feeling a bit uneasy. Especially when Chloe hadn't spoken to her since they left her work. She didn't belong here, no matter how rich or poor she was.

The realisation of being undress for such a place hit her hard. People around them started staring at her, giving her weird looks everytime she shot her gaze anywhere but the menu.

Normally she wouldn't be wearing jeans to her job, but with her schedule it was all she could find at the last moment. Thank goodness her boss was so chilled no matter what she wore.

"What do you want?" Chloe pipped up, dragging Marinette away from the spotlight effect she was having just moments ago.

Concentrating back at the laminated piece of paper in front of her, Marinette began to rumble a few things that would interest her taste buds.

Immediately Chloe scoffed. "Not food!" She snapped. "I mean what do you want with Adrien?" She asked again, this time a bit more clearer in her explanation. "You are going to see him later? Right?"

Chloe asking her this felt very odd to Marinette, normally it was Alya who was breathing down her neck to make a decision about this sort of thing.

"There is no need, I've already called things off." The bluenette explained.

Chloe placed down the menu, looking at her stunned. "But he wants to see you Marinette!" She sternly stated.

Marinette wish she had stayed at work so she didn't have to be left answering questions that even she was unsure of herself.

"I can't keep doing this to Bethany!" She explained. "No matter how much I want him!"

"Marinette! Seriously!" Chloe grumbled. "If that was Bethany she wouldn't hesitate to take Adrien away from you!"

"Noooo!" Marinette dragged the word in denial. "You can't seriously think she would?"

Chloe raised an eyebrow up at her, looking at her like she was clueless. "You really don't know who she is do you?"

Marinette stared at her before shaking her head slightly and widening her eyes to show Chloe that, No! She didn't know; without using any words in responds.

"Does the Name Ricci mean anything to you?" The blonde asked, now sliding her finger across the screen of her phone.

She thought on it, immediately coming up blank.

Clicking her tougne, Chloe went on. "The famous Italian designer?" She stated and Marinette continued to look at her like she grew a second head. "Sonia Ricci?"

Chloe turned her phone towards Marinette, showing her a picture of the lady she was talking about.

Finally everything clicked into place!

"The Ricci? As in Ricci Fashion Design?" The bluenette gasped, subsequently reaching over to grab the phone out of her hands.

"Yes THE Ricci! Who else?" Chloe huffed, pulling the phone away before Marinette could grab it out of her hands. "I thought you were meant to be a fashion guru or something?"

"I was..." Marinette mumbled sadly in responds.

Chloe didn't pay much attention to Marinette and what she was going on about. Instead she picked up the menu again and clicked her fingers to get a waiter to serve them.

"Anyways, her mother has been seeking out other designers for awhile now, trying to get them to collaborate with her or even to buy them out if she had the right amount of dirt on them." The blonde continued before talking to the waiter in what she wanted, also picking out Marinette's meal in the process.

The bluenette tried to protest but Chloe just held her hand up to stop her from talking.

As the waiter left, Chloe went on. "The women didn't hesitate to bring my mother down when she refused to collaborate with her." She explained. "Mother already has style so there was no way that was ever going to happen to begin with!"

"What dirt did she have on her?" Marinette asked but immediately regretted questioning her.

"Zoe!" The blonde answered bluntly. "When my mother was in New York, Sonia found out she had an affair and a child to back up that proof."

Chloe acted like it was no big deal but to Marinette she knew the hurt she was really feeling back when the said girl made her appearance at Lycee.

"She gave it back to Sonia though and came out with the whole affair before the press had a field day at her doorstep." The blonde went on as she sipped the water that was provided at the table. "Daddy had a hard time accepting it though, but he was very understanding in the end and supported her."

Marinette saw the way Chloe's eyes soften at the memory of it all. A small smile playing on her lips at that one moment everyone was happy in her life.

She almost didn't want to speak and ruin it for her. "So you think Bethany is only dating Adrien to get Gabriel's?" Marinette asked.

Thier conversation paused once the food arrived, making the bluenette lean back, away from the table so the waiter had a bit of room to place the plates in front of them.

"Possibly." Chloe answered honestly, watching as Marinette eyed the food, she wasted no time to dig in. "Or I could be wrong since Bethany had turned down her own mother so Gabriel could make her wedding dress."

Marinette almost choaked on her food. "W-What?"

"I know!" Chloe remarked, not noticing how she had stopped eating as the blonde continued to dig into her own meal. "Like I get why, but it's still very strange you're letting your future father in-law design your own dress when your mum is a designer herself."

"No I mean... that can't be possible because... I-I'm making her wedding dress!"

Immediately Chloe snapped her attention away from the food and towards the girl on the other side of the table.

"Does Gabriel know about this?" She asked.

"I didn't even know about this!" Marinette almost screeched.

"Well this is a bigger mess than I thought."
