(A/N) I did it!
I finally did a drawing relating to my story! You can check it out on my instagram (@multi_shaz) This is what I picture them looking like in my story, especially this chapter.
Now I have put some hints in this chapter and I want to see if anyone can guess what is happening to a certain character and who it could be! I won't be revealing it for another 2 chapters so let's see if anyone can guess before then.
I also haven't quite finished next chapter so I will be posting again in two weeks! I know its not ideal but that's what I can manage atm so sorry in advance.
Anyways enjoy!
The week went by pretty fast but at least things were starting to get back on track for Marinette.
For once she didn't have to worry about ruining someone's relationship, nor worry about the guilt eating at her slowly; although she knew it would still be there if she saw Adrien again.
At least most of that worry was gone although she was contemplating wheather to come clean or not about the whole affair.
That was until Alya had dropped a bomb on her.
"I just thought it would be good to get to know her, that's all!" Alya stated, getting ready for her hens night as she put mascara on her lashes. She glanced to the side slightly, noticing her friends shocked face behind her in the mirror. "What? You were the one who said she was lovely! Besides Adrien is going out with Nino and he didn't want her to be alone at home."
"Yeah no! That's cool!" Marinette choaked, sitting on the edge of Alya's bed, fiddling with her hands. She was already feeling unsteady and she hadn't even had a drop of alcohol yet.
Alya knew that look and the tone that went with it! Her friend was hiding something again, she could feel it.
Putting down her eye make up on the dresser Alya turned to Marinette and eyed her, folding her arms over her chest. "Okay, I'll bite. Whats really the deal?"
The bluenette shifted uncomfortably, not making eye contact with her friend. "N-Nothing." She stuttered in reply.
"Normally I would drop these little things because I love you and I know you would tell me when the times right, but ever since Adrien and Bethany have been around, you've been acting awfully strange." Alya pointed out.
Chloe was right, it was only a matter of time before everyone else picked up on the tension between Adrien and her.
Even if things weren't going anywhere anymore.
The bed dipped with the reporters weight as she sat beside her, intently listening for a reply but like normal all she got was complete silence.
Marinette glanced her way and put on her best fake smile she could manage. "I'm fine, just had a crazy week."
She half lied.
Although with Chloe knowing her secrets, it was bound to get crazier.
"I know a way to solve that!" Alya beamed and got up off the bed to retrieve her bottle stash from the kitchen. "Pre drinks before the party?"
Marinette followed her out and sighed, nodding her head for permission to pour her a glass. "I hope you have a back up plan for when I'm too drunk to even transform." Marinette grumbled, taking the awaiting glass off Alya and throwing it down fast.
"Please! Hawkmoth hasn't attacked in forever!" The reporter waved it off. "Besides, I have a plan if it all turns to shit anyways." She told her confidently.
"That's if you're not too drunk yourself for that plan." Marinette challenged back.
"Hey! I'll be fine!" She scoffed, her own drink being shoved to the side, away from Marinette's veiw. "You have nothing to worry about."
The lack of confidence in her friend cause a light hum to rumble from Marinette's chest. She wasnt convinced Alya would be able to pull anything off, especially with her drinking habit and how plastered she was at her party.
She could imagine the illusions already.
Placing her glass down for another round of drinks, Marinette said. "Just as long as you don't transform in front of everyone when you're plastered... Then fine, I trust you."
"You have my word." Alya smiled with a glint in her eyes.
The music was pumping around her and the alcohol was starting to make her feel buzzed. Marinette was only tipsy but she could still feel the thrill of the beverages running through her veins.
The only down side to this night was not letting loose. She feared if she drank too much it was bound to backfire on her.
There was only so much luck she could have on her side.
Bethany had seem to be enjoying herself, though the girl was way more plastered then Marinette was. She watched as Bethany swayed her hips and moved to the beat, her blonde hair bouncing around crazily to her movements.
It was like she didn't have a care in the world who was around her, she was her own free spirit and Marinette almost wish she could let herself go to that extent.
Without warning the blonde's arm wrapped around Marinette's neck, bouncing unevenly as she jumped up and down on the spot. The bluenette squeaked with the contact, feeling as though she was being dragged down by the weight of her.
Bethany might of looked skinny but gosh she had a grip on her and it was killing Marinette's shoulders.
Stepping away from the girl, she felt very uncomfortable that she was all over her. Normally she was fine being touched but with Bethany and all the lies and secrets between them made her feel uneasy.
This wasn't a good idea after all, Marinette thought.
"I'm sooo glad we are friends." Bethany chirped, flinging her other arm around Marinette's neck and pulling her down for a hug. "Thank you for making me feel so welcome here, you're the best!"
A small giggle sounded but Marinette could only feel it vibrate off as the girl placed all her weight on her in a bone crushing hug.
"Yeah!" Marinette awkwardly laughed along. "Friends." She added.
Noticing Alya's smiling face a few feet away from them the bluenette looked to her for help but instead she turned around to continue dancing with Rose and Juleka, completely missing the signals Marinette was sending her.
Great!
She was now stuck here being squished by the one person she rather not be around! Even Chloe was sounding like a better option right now.
Prying the drunk girl from her grasp, Marinette suggested. "How about I go get us some shots? Okay?"
It was like a switch being flicked and finally Bethany let go. She almost pushed Marinette to the bar herself, shoving some money in her hands as she agreed that was a good idea.
Marinette didn't have time to object to anything as the blonde went back to the dance floor and bounced around with the girls again.
At least she was having a better time than she was.
As Marinette made her way to the bar in the corner of her eye she caught sight of Nino entering the venue. He too looked Marinette's way and gave a wave, strangely happy to see her like he was expecting to turn up all along.
His bucks party guest soon followed him in and instead of walking to Alya, he made his way over to her.
Smile and all.
"Hey." Nino greeted. "How's my girl holding up?" He asked, ordering himself a drink.
"Good?" Marinette slowly replied in question, the alcohol finally hitting her when she leant on the bar for support. "Aren't you two meant to be having separate parties?" She had to ask.
Normally the hens and bucks are there for a night of freedom. Which was dumb in Marinette's opinion because what real freedom did you have before getting Married?
"Half the boys were missing their ladies so we decided to join you if that's okay?" Nino replied.
Marinette could sense Nino was hiding something but didn't press him further, instead she ordered a round of drinks for the girls.
Luka came up behind Marinette and wrapped his arms around her frame as she was waiting for her shots to be served.
"I guess that's my cue to go." Nino laughed, taking his drink to the dance floor where Alya was.
Marinette squeaked from the contact.
Turning around in his arms, she smiled. "Hey, I didn't expect to see you tonight!"
"Hey beautiful! Nice to see you too." Luka replied, his breath was obvious with alcohol but he still acted the same.
Marinette scoffed and rolled her eyes. "You know what I meant."
Turning back around in his grasp to receive her drinks, Marinette almost jumped and knocked over the shot glasses when Luka's grip got tighter and his body pressed against her.
Well maybe she was wrong.
"You smell so good." His nose pressed into her shoulder making a chill run down her spine.
She didn't think she smelt that good since she had been sweating earlier and was probably due to respray herself with perfume.
But whatever floated his boat.
Marinette laughed and squirmed in his grasp. "Okay then." She giggled. "Can you help me take these glasses to the girls?"
After a moment he finally left her personal space, making her body send out a different kind of chill. She had almost missed the warmth of him wrapped around her. Being in that safe bubble with someone that wasn't about to get married.
Speaking of which.
Turning around with her four shot glasses, Marinette instantly caught sight of Adrien at Bethany's side, swaying to the beat of the song.
More like grinding to the beat of the song.
Her backside was pressed up against his crotch, rubbing slow, long circles, exactly to the rhythm of the music.
A step was taken back and Marinette ended back on the bar, instantly making Luka worry for how unsteady she looked.
"Are you okay?" He asked, putting down the other four drinks to give Marinette a hand.
The bluenette turned away from the scene, feeling envy bubble up again. Her eyes closed and she breathed in and out slowly, hoping it will calm her from any or all feelings that had hit her all at once.
She was too sober for this shit. "I will be!"
Grabbing a shot, Marinette chucked it down, instantly squinting at the hash after taste it left. She grabbed another one straight after and threw it down as well.
Maybe having two will make the feelings go away and she could be a free spirit like Bethany was moments ago.
Screw Hawkmoth.
"Okay!" Luka laughed, watching Marinette throw down the shots that were meant for her friends. "I think you've had enough." He said as she threw down a third shot.
Marinette looked his way and shrugged, throwing down her fourth shot and almost choaking from how much it burnt her throat.
She was definitely going to feel this in the morning.
"Whoa, leave some for your friends." Alya said as she joined the couple at the bar.
Marinette didn't pay much attention to Alya and Nino when they joined them. Her gazed was now mostly focused on Adrien and Bethany.
The next song switch over, more of an up beat type of rhythm which made the slow movements from earlier pick up in pace.
Marinette turned to Luka and grabbed him by the collar of his shirt, dragging him out onto the dance floor.
"The rest is yours." He said to the reporter as he followed the determind girl away from the remaining drinks.
Marinette made it to the dance floor, purposely getting in full veiw where Adrien could see her. She was determined to make him feel everything she felt and there was only one way to do that.
She started dancing up close to Luka, making sure she was looking straight at the musician while they danced. She didn't falter, moving to the rhythm with ease.
It was a blessing and a curse being intoxicated. She could feel her body move to the beat, swaying and feeling invincible but she knew the next morning her body wouldn't give her that same feeling.
It was worth it though.
Luka didn't question her movements, instantly following them instead. He could see how focused she was under her half lidded lashes, especially when she bit her bottom lip seductively.
He almost let out an audible groan from just that alone.
Marinette took a glance Adrien's way and saw how his attention had been drawn to her now. His gaze was full focused on her, not noticing anything Bethany was doing.
Marinette didn't know why she was doing this, her intoxicated brain was scattered with what the full purpose of this shitty move was.
Maybe Chloe was right, maybe she did still want him? Or maybe she wanted him to hurt and make him sit through pain like she did the weekend before?
Whatever her intentions were, they were surely going to get her in trouble in the long run.
Turning up to heat, Marinette turned in Luka's grasp and began to draw out long circles of her hips, feeling him move in sync with her.
They both got lost in the feeling, her head was swimming with the alcohol now buzzing in her system and her thighs trembled with the feeling of Luka rubbing up against her.
It felt so good without any regrets.
Everything felt so good with a bit of liquor luck.
Her arm flew back and her hand ran through Luka's hair, gently resting it on his shoulder and around his neck as they continued to move to the beat.
Blue eyes met teal and Marinette finally felt lost in her own little world. One that didn't have guilt, regret or envy.
The bluenette leant in closer to him, feeling his breath ghosting over her face. She could almost taste the alcohol that was lingering on his breath as they were all so close.
Lost in the arms of Luka Couffaine, Marinette thought for a spilt second she had felt whole again. Moving and swaying against him as their breaths mingled together.
She was in that safe place, the one where she thought would always belong to Adrien and only him, but his indecisiveness was really giving her a whiplash and she had to make a decision to stop this fully once and for all.
No matter how much she wanted him.
Just before their lips met, Marinette had shut her eyes, completely blocking out everything around her. She was not aware of Luka pulling back slightly as her body leant back more into him.
But of course reality had struck them.
Literally!
