Delphishipping (Ishizu Ishtar/Kisara)

. . .

Kisara sighed with relief, closing her eyes at the soft feeling of the woman's fingers combing through her hair.

"Goodness," Ishizu murmured. "You reallyhaven'tseen a hairbrush in a long time, have you?"

Kisara laughed a little.

"I guess not."

She leaned back against Ishizu's knees, with a warm cup of cocoa cradled in her hands. Ishizu had lent her a very fuzzy sweater, one that was baggy enough and long enough to cover her knees if she drew them up against her chest. Ishizu's apartment was small, but it was cozy, and it was warm.

She sighed as she breathed in the scent of the cocoa. She had never had such a thing before, but after being outside in the snow, it was heavenly.

Ishizu worked the brush gently through her hair, working free all of the knots.

"You have such fine hair," she said, running her fingers through it. "It's really beautiful..."

Kisara felt a heat in her cheeks that didn't come from the cocoa.

"R-really...?" she said.

"Really," Ishizu said, sounding a bit awed, even. "I'm going to put it in a braid, to keep it out of your eyes...is that all right?"

"O-oh, yes, that's f-fine!" Kisara said. "You're...you're a really kind person, Miss Ishtar..."

"Oh, please, call me Ishizu," Ishizu said with a laugh. "And what was I supposed to do, let you stay out there in this blizzard? No, of course not."

Kisara ducked her head a little towards her cocoa, feeling shy all of a sudden. Ishizu's fingers worked through her hair and it felt so nice; she couldn't remember the last time her hair had felt so lovely and light.

"There," Ishizu said. "What do you think?"

Kisara reached back with one hand, lips parting at the odd feel of the braid. She pulled it back over her shoulder so she could look at the perfectly done braids, feel the nice bumpy texture of it.

"Thank you," she said. "I...I haven't felt this nice in...in so long..."

She looked back up at Ishizu, and found that the woman was smiling. She brushed a few loose strands out of Kisara's face.

"It's been a long time since I've been able to spend a cold winter with someone," she said. "So I should really be thanking you for coming along."

Oh...Kisara thought, looking up at Ishizu's beautiful eyes. She had been...lonely, hadn't she?

Kisara smiled. Then she wriggled upwards so that she was sitting on the couch, snuggling close to Ishizu for her warm. Ishizu jumped a little at first, but then her arm slowly, tentatively slid around Kisara's shoulders.

"Thank you, Ishizu," Kisara said quietly. "I'm glad that I met you today."

Ishizu smiled as she gently rested the side of her head against Kisara's.

"I'm glad I did too," Ishizu whispered.
